Evaluation of drug inventory management in Anwar Medika Hospital Sidoarjo

Drug management is carried out effectively and efficiently to prevent drug shortages, drug prescription outside the formulary. Drug management at Anwar Medika Hospital Pharmacy Installation has not been carried out according to standards. This study aims to evaluate the management of drug management at the Pharmacy Installation of Anwar Medika Hospital and to make recommendations regarding the problems that occur. This research is a descriptive verification study with qualitative and quantitative data. The samples used were primary and secondary data from selection, planning, procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, Evaluated use of drugs based on BPK, WHO and Permenkes 72/2016. The evaluation results that do not meet the standards identified the root of the problem using the fishbone, determining the priority of the problem using the CARL method, recommending alternative solutions using the PEARL method. The results of drug management at the Pharmacy Installation of Anwar Medika Hospital was not standard.

The Influence of Total Service Quality Strategy (TQS) and Pharmacy Service Quality on Patient Satisfaction and Patient Family Involvement in the Blud Pharmacy Installation at Tamiang Layang Regional General Hospital, East Barito Regency

The Influence of Total Service Quality Strategy (TQS) and Pharmacy Service Quality on Patient Satisfaction and Patient Family Involvement in the BLUD Pharmacy Installation at Tamiang Layang Regional General Hospital, East Barito Regency. This study aims to examine the influence of Total Service Quality Strategy (TQS) and Pharmacy Service Quality on Patient Satisfaction and Patient Family Involvement as intervening variables in the Family of Patients Installed in the BLUD Pharmacy Installation at Tamiang Layang Regional General Hospital, East Barito Regency. The population in this study was 118 people, data was taken from questionnaires distributed to respondents. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS Version 3. The results of the study explained that the Total Service Quality Strategy (TQS) had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction, Pharmacy Service Quality had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction, the Total Service Quality Strategy (TQS) had a positive and significant effect on patient family involvement, Pharmacy Service Quality has a positive and significant influence on patient family involvement, Patient satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on patient family involvement, patient satisfaction mediates the influence of Total Service Quality Strategy (TQS) on patient family involvement, Patient satisfaction mediates the influence of service quality pharmacy towards the involvement of patient families in the BLUD pharmacy installation at Tamiang Layang Regional General Hospital, East Barito Regency.

Pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan terhadap Kepuasan Pasien pada Instalansi Farmasi Rawat Jalan RSI Ibnu Sina Simpang Empat

Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital Simpang Empat West Pasaman is a type C private hospital that continues to progress, marked by an increase in the number of patient visits each year. The services at RSI Ibnu Sina Simpang Empat are known for the friendliness of the services provided. However, it is not uncommon for patients to complain about the lack of maximum service, one of which is in the Pharmacy Installation. This can be seen from the number of patients queuing in the Pharmacy Installation waiting room. This method uses quantitative research methods with the type of explanatory research that analyzes the relationships between a variable and other variables and tests the hypotheses that have been formulated. The population in this study were outpatients with an average monthly number of 4,886 patients obtained from the prescription record book at the Pharmacy Installation. The sample used in this study was 370 based on the Slovin Formula with a tolerance level of 5%. Sampling using simple random sampling technique.The results showed that there was a partial significant effect between tangible and patient satisfaction by 22.9%; reliability to patient satisfaction by 30.2%; empathy for patient satisfaction by 42.9%; responsiveness to patient satisfaction by 48.5%; assurance of patient satisfaction of 56.7%. And there is a stimulating influence of the five independent variables on patient satisfaction by 62.6%.

Analysis of Drug Availability Management at the Regional General Hospital Pharmacy Installation

Pharmacy managerial activities are inseparable from the principles of drug availability management such as a series of needs planning activities, procurement, storage and distribution of drugs through hospital pharmacy installations. This study aims to analyze and obtain information on availability management at the Pharmacy Installation of the South Tapanuli Regional General Hospital. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach using primary data and secondary data using the interview method. The informants interviewed at the pharmaceutical installation were the head of the pharmaceutical installation unit, the coordinator of pharmacy services, the head of the pharmaceutical warehouse/supplies, the coordinator of quality management and administration. Informants of this study were taken by purposive sampling and data analysis using triangulation and data reduction methods. The results of this study obtained that planning for drug needs uses the consumption method by looking at the need for previous use, but it has not been maximized, procurement has not gone well, drug shortages often occur, drug storage systems use the FIFO (First in First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) systems. First Expired First Out). Storage is not up to standard, the waiting time for drug distribution to patients starting from the patient submitting the prescription to the delivery of the drug takes quite a long time for the drug to be finished. The conclusion is that the implementation of drug availability management has not run optimally according to standard operating procedures for services, so it is necessary to increase human resource knowledge through training related to drug planning.

Analisis Pengelolaan Logistik Farmasi di Instalasi Farmasi RSUD Raden Mattaher Selama Pandemi Covid-19

The efficiency of the pharmaceutical logistics management process can indirectly affect the balance of pharmaceutical supplies in hospitals. The aim of this research is to analyze the management of pharmaceutical logistics at Raden Mattaher Regional Hospital, Jambi Province during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using a phenomenological approach. The variables looked at include selection, planning, budgeting, procurement, storage and distribution. Data collection in this research was carried out by means of observation, in-depth interviews, and data review. The research results show that the guidelines in the Raden Mattaher Regional General Hospital Pharmacy Installation, Jambi Province are in accordance with the regulations issued by the Ministry of Health, however, in implementation there are still several things that have not been implemented and need to be evaluated regularly in accordance with the hospital's needs and Avoid things that are beyond predictions that are detrimental in the future.
 

Evaluasi Pengelolaan Obat Di Instalasi Farmasi RSUD Dr. Soeratno Gemolong Kabupaten Sragen

Drug management is a cycle including selection, procurement, distribution and use which is supported by an appropriate organizational structure, finances and management information system. The aim of this research is to determine drug management in the Pharmacy Installation at RSUD dr. Soeratno Gemolong, Sragen Regency.This research uses prospective and retrospective methods. Where retrospective data is taken from 2022 data. Prospective data is taken through direct observation. The results of this research are: the percentage of available funds and the required funds is 80%, the percentage of procurement and actual use is 98%, invoice errors are 0.47%, there are no delayed payments by hospitals, compatibility between drugs and stock cards is 100% , drug availability level of 16 months, warehouse management system with FIFO, FEFO and LASA marking systems, average time used to serve compounded prescriptions is 11 minutes and non-mixed prescriptions is 7 minutes, conformity of drug items with the National Formulary is 93%, frequency of procurement of each drug item 4-6x a year, turn over ratio 3 times, percentage of expired and damaged drug value 5.05%, dead stock percentage 3%, number of drug items per prescription sheet 3.5 items, percentage of prescriptions with generic names 88%. These results indicate that drug management in the Pharmacy Installation at RSUD dr. Soeratno Gemolong, Sragen Regency is not yet good.

Decision Making for the Best Hospital Evaluation Using the AHP-COPRAS Method

The assessment of the Hospital is very important in providing a rating as a measure of accreditation. Hospitals should provide the best service to visiting patients. The purpose of this study is to provide a ranking of hospitals that should be a measure of the appropriateness of a hospital as seen from a number of criteria as a true assessment. The criteria used as a barometer for the assessment consist of ten criteria, namely Administrative Services, Doctor Services, Pharmaceutical Installation Services, Cleanliness, Convenience, Security, Number of Administrative Personnel, Number of Pharmaceutical Personnel, Administrative Complaints, and Pharmacy Installation Complaints. The scoring system that will be applied uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method as a determinant of the weight of each criterion and the Fuzzy assessment uses the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method. The two methods will be collaborated as a determinant in the process of giving a rating system to the ten hospitals that are included in the priority assessment. The results obtained from the ranking process of the two AHP and COPRAS methods are seen from the acquisition of the utility value produced, the largest value obtained from the utility gives the best rating. The utility value is obtained from the total assessment of a number of criteria for each hospital and the largest utility rating does not exceed one. The highest value of the utility generated by the RS10 alternative with a utility scale of 0.098 as the best value.

ANALISA PERESEPAN DAN INTERAKSI KOMBINASI DUA MACAM ANTIBIOTIK INTRAVENA DI RUMAH SAKIT X TANGERANG SELATAN

One of the mainstay drugs to treat infections is antimicrobials, including antibacterials/antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals and antiprotozoa. Antibiotics are drugs used in infections caused by bacteria. Antibiotics that are not used wisely can lead to resistance problems. Therefore, the use of antibiotics must follow a rational strategy of prescribing antibiotics. Irrational prescribing will increase the occurrence of drug side effects, drug interactions, medical costs and result in decreased patient compliance in taking drugs. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of prescribing combinations of intravenous antibiotics in one prescription sheet and their interactions. This research is a type of quantitative research, with descriptive methods and using retrospective data. The population in this study were all prescription sheets of inpatients who had been served at the X Hospital Pharmacy Installation for the period January 1 to March 31, 2021. The samples were all prescription sheets containing a combination of 2 (two) intravenous antibiotics (injection or infusion), all of which totaling 170 sheets. The results showed that there were more male patients than female patients, namely 52.3% with the largest age range between 46-55 years (29.41%). Of the 15 combinations of 2 (two) intravenous antibiotics, there were 6 combinations that had moderate pharmacodynamic interactions. Moderate interactions are clinically significant, usually avoided in combination or used only in special circumstances and with close monitoring of health workers. Of the 170 prescription sheets, 135 sheets (79.4%) were prescribed by internal medicine specialists. All intravenous antibiotics prescribed according to the X Hospital Formulary and the National Formulary.

FACTORS AFFECTING SPEED OF SERVICE WITH WORK ENGAGEMENT AS INTERVENING VARIABLES IN PHARMACEUTICAL INSTALLATIONS

This research is based on the dynamics of waiting time for drugs in 2021 which are not under regulatory standards. The purpose of this study was to empirically reveal the influence of HRM functions and facilities on the speed of drug waiting time service with work engagement as an intervening variable. The research design used a cross-sectional study and made 50 pharmacy installation officers the unit of analysis. The results of the study prove that the human resources management (HRM) function and facilities have a positive and significant effect on work engagement, the HRM function, facilities and work engagement have a positive and significant effect on the speed of service waiting time for drugs, and work engagement provides a positive intervention on the relationship between HRM functions and facilities on the speed of service time to wait for medicine. Work engagement is a psychological condition in which individuals are fully committed to helping the organization achieve its goals; with work engagement, pharmacy installation officers will try to meet the organization's expectations of speeding up drug waiting times according to applicable standards.

Swot Analysis of Pharmacy Department Development Strategy in X Hospital in East Kalimantan Province

The hospital is an institution that provides health services and is an institution that cannot be separated from the influence of the internal and external environment. The growth and development of the hospital can be influenced by the organizational environment where the hospital is located. Therefore, a hospital management system is needed that considers strategic aspects so that the hospital can adapt and control the factors that influence and continue to change, both internal and external factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the position of the X Hospital Pharmacy Installation in the province of East Kalimantan towards the internal and external environment through a SWOT analysis and identify alternative strategies for development with the SWOT method. Research using a qualitative descriptive design using a questionnaire. Data on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the Pharmacy Installation were obtained by observation and in-depth interviews. From the SWOT analysis, a SWOT matrix is obtained based on the External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) and the Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS). The results of the study show that the Pharmacy Installation of X Hospital is in quadrant two with a diversification strategy to implement its development strategy. The RS X's internal strength factor is 1.11 times greater than its weakness and the results are opportunities that are smaller than the threats.

Evaluasi Perencanaan Infus di Instalasi Farmasi Rumah Sakit ‘X’ Mojokerto Periode Januari – Desember Tahun 2022

Drug planning is an activity process of selecting the type, quantity, and price of pharmaceutical supplies according to the needs and budget. An effective planning process is to ensure the availability of drugs so as to avoid drug shortages and excesses. This study aims to determine and evaluate infusion planning at Hospital 'x'. There are 23 items of infusion type at Hospital 'x' in 2020. This research is a non-experimental study using a retrospective method. This research was conducted at the Hospital 'x' Mojokerto. Methods of data collection This study used primary data derived from interviews with the head of the pharmacy installation and secondary data derived from drug planning data and infusion stock-taking reports at Hospital 'x'. Furthermore, the research results are compared with standard indicators. The results showed that the planning indicator was the percentage of the number of drug items held as planned (57%), and the planning indicator was the percentage of the budget (97%). The planning for the realization budget has been efficient but is still not fully effective and needs improvement, especially the drug planning process.

Evaluation of Drug Management at the Pharmacy Installation of "X" Regency Health Office Indonesian in 2021

Improving public health status can be influenced by the drug management process, one of the components of which is the availability of good drugs. This study aimed to find out the overall process description of drug management, which includes the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution stages, as well as to know the evaluation of drug management related to compliance with the indicators of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia & JICA 2010. This study used a type of research descriptive data collection with retrospective and concurrent. Data analysis was carried out by explaining the drug management process at the "X" Regency Health Office, measuring the value of each drug management indicator, and then making a problem-solving based on the Hanlon method. The results of the evaluation of drug management at the Pharmacy Installation of the "X" Regency Health Office were the suitability of the available drug items with the Fornas of 54%; percentage of fund allocation procurement drugs by 93%; percentage suitability of drug planning and procurement by 73%; the percentage of drug planning accuracy is 84%; percentage and value of expired drugs by 8% worth Rp. 39,888,756; The accuracy of drug distribution is 94%; drug availability12-18 months of 94%; and the percentage of drug blanks is 2%. Some indicators are not up to standard, so improvements are made using the Hanlon method.

Perencanaan Persediaan Obat dengan Metode Analisis ABC-VEN di Instalasi Farmasi RS “Y” Kota Palopo

Background: ABC-VEN analysis is a effective method for evaluating drug needs because it can determine priority drug planning based on cost and therapy. However, not all Pharmacy Installation have implemented this method, one of that is The Pharmacy Installation of “Y” Hospital in Palopo City. Objective: To evaluate drug planning at Pharmacy Installation of “Y” Hospital using the ABC-VEN analysis so that, the investment value for drug procurement is suitable with the budget and meets drug needs in the hospital. Methods: The research is combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The instruments used are the form of data collection sheets for drug use for the period September-November 2022 and interview guidelines. Results:Out of a total of 626 drug items used in September-November 2022, 11%, 81%, 9% of drug items were included in the priority, main, and additional categories which spent the budget respectively 17%, 81% and 2% of total budget. Conclusion: With the application of the ABC-VEN analysis method, the drug supply budget can be saved by reducing the number of drugs or substituting drugs by finding suppliers that offer lower prices, especially in the NA, NB, and NC categories.

Optimizing Revenue through Inventory Planning, Budget Revision, and Buprenorphine Inventory Turnover Analysis at Jakarta Drug Dependence Hospital Jakarta

This research has the main objective of examining the impact of inventory planning, budget revision, and inventory turnover of buprenorphine drugs on revenue at the Drug Dependence Hospital (RSKO) Jakarta. The research process was conducted in the environment of RSKO Jakarta, focusing on drug addiction. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Finance Department, Planning Department, and Pharmacy Installation of RSKO Jakarta from 2017 to 2021. Data analysis was performed using the path analysis method with the support of SmartPLS software version 3.0. The research results show some significant findings. First, it was found that the inventory planning of buprenorphine drugs has a positive and significant impact on revenue at RSKO Jakarta. Second, budget revisions do not have a significant impact on revenue at RSKO Jakarta. Third, the inventory turnover of buprenorphine drugs has a positive and significant impact on revenue at RSKO Jakarta.

Strategy for improving pharmaceutical services based on SNARS edition 1 at the "X" hospital pharmacy installation in tomohon city

Accreditation is a process of evaluating a hospital by KARS to improve patient safety and evaluate the quality of a hospital. This research was conducted at the "X" Hospital Pharmacy Installation in Tomohon City. To find out the level of conformity of the seven Pharmaceutical Services and Drug Use standards against the 1st Edition of 2018 National Hospital Accreditation Standards and problem solving strategies using a priority scale with the matrix method. The research design is a non-experimental research. analyzed descriptively quantitative and qualitative. The research data were processed in tabular form and repaired with a priority scale of problems using the matrix method. The conformity level of Pharmaceutical Services and Drug Use in the "X" Hospital Pharmacy Installation has not fully met the National Hospital Accreditation Standards. Improvement strategy based on priority scale of problems using the matrix method: Pharmaceutical Services and Drug Use Point 5 Preparation and delivery, Point 4 Prescription and copying, Point 3 Storage, Point 7 Monitoring drug effects, Point 6 Drug Administration, Point 1 Organizing and Point 2 Selection and procurement. Pharmaceutical services in the Pharmacy Installation as a whole are good but there are several points that have not met the standards and must be improved.

The Effect of the Implementation of Permenkes No. 72 of 2016 on the Management of Pharmaceutical Preparations and the Role of Pharmaceutical Personnel on Service Quality (Research at Class D Hospital in Bekasi City)

One of the health services in the hospital is a pharmacy installation, while the definition of a pharmacy installation is a functional implementing unit that organizes all pharmaceutical service activities in the hospital. Pharmaceutical Services is a direct and responsible service to patients related to pharmaceutical preparations with the aim of achieving definite results to improve the patient's quality of life. The service standard is contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Health no. 72 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Hospitals which aims to improve the quality of pharmaceutical services, guarantee legal certainty for pharmaceutical personnel, and protect patients and the public from irrational drug use in the framework of patient safety. The regulation of service standards is contained in Minister of Health Regulation No. 72 of 2016. covers management standards for pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and consumable medical materials as well as clinical pharmacy services. With the implementation of Permenkes No. 72 of 2016 is expected to be able to improve service quality. Factors that play a role in improving service quality include the management of pharmaceutical preparations and the role of pharmaceutical staff. This research is a quantitative research using survey method. The population in this study were pharmaceutical supply managers and patients who came to Class D hospitals in Bantar Gebang, Jatisampurna and Pondok Gede. The results showed that there was an effect of the implementation of Permenkes 72 of 2016 on the quality of pharmaceutical services in Class D Hospitals in Bekasi City, with the involvement of pharmaceutical staff in the management of pharmaceutical preparations from the process of selecting, planning needs, procurement, receiving, storage, distribution, destruction and withdrawal, control, and administration. There is an influence of the management of pharmaceutical preparations on the quality of pharmaceutical services in Class D Hospitals in Bekasi City, as seen from the dimensions of trust and empathy that meet expectations in Class D Hospitals Jatisampurna.

Evaluation of Drug Management and Improvement Strategies Using the Hanlon Method in the Pharmacy Installation of Ki Ageng Selo Wirosari General Hospital, Grobogan Regency, Indonesia

Drug management in the hospital is one of the important hospital management. Its inefficiency can have a negative impact on the hospital, both medically and economically. The purpose of this study was to evaluate drug management at the pharmacy installation of Ki Ageng Selo General Hospital by using efficiency indicators and implementing improvement strategies using the Hanlon method. This study uses a descriptive design for data that is retrospective and concurrent. Data in the form of quantitative and qualitative accompanied by interviews with related parties. All stages of drug management at the Pharmacy Installation of Ki Ageng Selo General Hospital were measured for their level of efficiency using indicators from the Ministry of Health, Permenkes, and WHO, then compared with standards and described based on priority analysis of action plans using the Hanlon method. The results of the study according to the standards were: the suitability of the available drug items with the RS Formulary (92.21%), the frequency of delayed payments (5 times), the percentage of correctness between the drug and the stock card (100%), the level of drug availability (12 months), average time spent serving prescriptions to patients (non-concocted 7.7 minutes, concocted 17 minutes), percentage of prescriptions with generic drugs (84.9%). Stages of drug management that are not in accordance with standards, namely: the percentage of available capital/funds with all the funds needed (202.14%), the percentage of drug procurement funds allocation (20.17%), the percentage of expired drug value (8.1%), the number of drug items per prescription sheet (4.27). Priorities for handling problems are as follows: 1) Monitor drugs for a maximum of 6 months before the ED, 2) Increase the role of KFT in evaluating and coordinating with doctors regarding the use of drugs to avoid polypharmacy, 3) Evaluation is needed every 3 months or 6 months for budget revisions, 4) carry out an evaluation at the end of each year to determine the budget and better coordination between drug managers and hospital fund providers.

Analysis of Service Quality in Pharmaceutical Installations on Outpatient Patient Satisfaction

Pharmaceutical services are direct and responsible services to patients relating to pharmaceutical preparations with the aim of achieving definite results to improve the quality of life of patients. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of service in the Pharmacy Installation on the satisfaction of outpatients in the Kabanjahe Regional General Hospital. Research conducted is quantitative with cross sectional approach. The study population was all outpatients in the Pharmacy Installation of the Kabanjahe District General Hospital, amounting to 13,359 in November 2018-January 2019. Samples taken were 87 people, obtained using proportional sampling techniques. Data obtained by interview and observation using a questionnaire, analyzed by Multiple Logistic Regression Test at α = 0.05. The results of the multiple logistic statistical tests show that there is a significant influence of the reliability variable (p = 0.023), concern (p = 0.032), direct evidence (p = 0.016) on patient satisfaction. Concern variable gave the greatest influence on patient satisfaction in the Outpatient Pharmacy of the Kabanjahe Regional General Hospital with (Exp value (B) of 146,434). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence on reliability, care and direct evidence on patient satisfaction. It is recommended to the management of the Kabanjahe Regional General Hospital to provide punishment for officers who have not been optimal in providing services and to increase the reliability, care, and direct evidence of officers to improve patient satisfaction.

Lean Approach to Identifying Problems in Outpatient Pharmacy Installations at Simo General Hospital, Boyolali, Indonesia

Lean approach is a method used to analyze value-added and non-value-added activities with the aim of minimizing or eliminating the waste that happens in an institution. The purpose of this research is to identify waste and find the root cause of waste that occurred in the outpatient pharmacy installation at the Simo General Hospital. This research method is non-experimental descriptive research with a qualitative descriptive exploratory approach through questionnaires, observation, and in-depth interviews with respondents. The analysis of this research is the observation of the service process flow with value stream mapping, distributing questionnaires, Borda method to search waste critically, 5why interviews to find the root cause of waste criticism and suggestions for solving problems. The results showed that the critical waste that occurred was waste waiting with a percentage value of 23.41%. The root cause of waste waiting is the accumulation of prescription queues at the preparation, dispensing delivery of drugs, and PIO stages due to a lack of pharmaceutical technical personnel. The proposed improvement in waste waiting is to increase the number of pharmacy officers by first calculating the workload.
