Pengaruh simultan dan parsial supervisi kepala sekolah, disiplin kerja, dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja guru SMK di Wonosobo

Purpose – The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of principal supervision, work discipline, and work environment on the performance of vocational high school teachers in the Wadaslintang sub-district of Wonosobo district both simultaneously and partially . Method − T This research uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 88 teachers. Data collection using survey techniques, with a questionnaire as the research instrument. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis Findings − The results showed that: (1) There is a positive and significant effect of principal supervision, work discipline, and work environment together on the performance of vocational high school teachers in the Wadaslintang sub-district of Wonosobo Regency. (2) There is a positive and significant effect of principal supervision on the performance of vocational school teachers in the Wadaslintang sub-district of Wonosobo Regency. (3) There is a positive and significant effect of work discipline on teacher performance at SMKs in Wadaslintang Sub-district, Wonosobo Regency. (4) There is a positive and significant effect of the work environment on the performance of teachers at SMKs in Wadaslintang Sub-district, Wonosobo Regency.

Performance Appraisal Practices and Teacher Performance in Public Secondary Schools in Kenya: A Case of Busia County

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between performance appraisal practices and teacher performance in Busia County, Kenya. The Systems theory and the Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) theory informed this study. Methodology: The study was anchored on a pragmatic paradigm and adopted a mixed methods approach. The study targeted 185 public secondary schools in Busia County. The study categorized respondents into 3 strata: Principals, Mathematics Head of Department (HODs) and County Director of Education (CDE). Simple random sampling was then utilized to select samples from each stratum. Schools were clustered based on 7 Sub- Counties in Busia County. The sample size of the study was 126 HODs, 19 Principals and 1 CDE. Questionnaires and interview schedules were used to collect data. Piloting was conducted in 37 schools to refine instruments. Thematic analysis was applied in the analysis of qualitative data. Data analysis and interpretation was based on descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics such as correlation and regressions. Findings: The findings of the study was that there is a statistically significant relationship between performance appraisal and teacher performance (r = 0.440, p<0.05), hence the study rejected the null hypothesis. The study concluded that a unit improvement in performance appraisal is likely to result to an improvement in the teacher performance by 44% (b = 0.440, t= 0.855, p<0.05). The study holds substantial academic and policy implications. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: The findings contribute to the understanding of the complex relationships between performance appraisal practices and teacher performance. The study provides actionable insights for education managers, empowering them to take strategic measures to address performance gaps and improve teaching standards in the unique setting of public secondary schools in Kenya. By understanding the dynamics between performance appraisal practices and teacher performance, educational institutions can tailor strategies to optimize the effectiveness of their teaching staff in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics STEM subjects.

School Heads’ Mentoring Practices And Supervisory Skills: Their Influence On Teachers’ Performance

This descriptive-correlational study investigated the relationship between school heads’ mentoring practices, supervisory skills, and teacher performance in Iloilo City, Philippines. Data from 350 randomly selected elementary and secondary teachers revealed that school heads prioritize fostering a positive attitude in teachers, while their overall supervisory skills are perceived as exceeding expectations. Interestingly, teacher performance also exceeded expectations, but no significant correlation was found between mentoring-supervisory skills and teacher performance. This suggests that other factors beyond school leadership might influence teacher effectiveness. However, mentoring practices were consistently valued by teachers, highlighting their importance in creating a supportive school environment.

HUBUNGAN KEPUASAN PETANI JAGUNG ERHADAP KINERJA PENYULUH PERTANIAN DI DESA MOROME KECAMAAN KONDA KABUPATEN KONAWE SELATAN

The phenomenon of corn farmer satisfaction is still an important indicator for extension workers. In this case, the performance of extension workers is a point that can determine farmer satisfaction based on the problems faced by farmers so that solutions and innovations by extension workers can be delivered with the main objective of farmers' needs. This research aims to determine the satisfaction of corn farmers and the performance of extension workers in Morome Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency, and to see the relationship. The population in this study were all corn farmers in Morome Village, Konda District. Considering that the population is only 30 Corn Farmers, it is appropriate to take all of them as samples without having to take a certain number of samples (saturated sample method/census). Data collection techniques in this research were observation, interviews and documentation. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Type of quantitative research. The data analysis used to determine the satisfaction of corn farmers and the performance of agricultural instructors is using the class interval formula, while the data analysis used to determine the relationship between corn farmer satisfaction and the performance of agricultural instructors is using the Spearman rank correlation formula. The results of this research show that general farmer satisfaction in Morome Village is in the high category. This can be seen from the aspects of quality, service and value which are in the high category, then the performance of agricultural instructors in Morome Village is generally in the high category too. This can be seen from the aspects of extension planning, implementation of extension, evaluation and reporting which are in the high category. Farmer satisfaction has a positive and very close relationship with the performance of instructors in agricultural extension activities in Morome Village. Where when farmer satisfaction increases, the performance of extension workers also increases and vice versa.

The Influence of Work Experience and Workload on Teacher Performance and its Impact on Teacher Income Levels in Senior High School in Jambi City

Work experience plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance and effectiveness of human resources. Workload is one of the key factors that can influence this performance. Performance, in this context, refers to the effort made in fulfilling duties and responsibilities to meet established goals. For teachers, effective performance not only contributes to achieving educational objectives but also impacts their income, which is essential for meeting their daily needs. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of work experience and workload on teacher performance and its impact on the level of teacher income in senior high schools in Jambi City. The novelty in this research is that it is suspected that teacher income is one of the factors that cause teacher performance to be of high quality. This type of research is the quantitative descriptive research, which was carried out using a questionnaire via Google form for senior high school teachers in Jambi City. Respondents were randomly selected using area sampling technique as many as 121 of the total population of 173 teachers. This data was analysed using path analysis with the SPSS AMOS 26 program. The results showed that work experience and workload have a direct effect on income. Work experience has a direct effect on performance, but workload has no direct effect on performance. Performance has a direct effect on income. Work experience has a significant direct effect on teacher performance; through teacher performance directly has no direct effect on teacher income. Workload has no direct effect on teacher performance; through performance as a direct influence it has no direct effect on teacher income in private high schools in Jambi City.

Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Autentik dan Komitmen Afektif terhadap Kinerja Guru pada MAS Berbasis Pondok Pesantren di Kota Tangerang Selatan

This research aims to examine and analyze the problem as the variable studied, according to the hypothesis being tested, namely: (1) There is a direct influence of the principal's authentic leadership on teacher performance, (2) There is a direct influence of teacher affective commitment on teacher performance, and ( 3) There is a direct influence of the principal's authentic leadership on teacher affective commitment. The research method is a quantitative method and was carried out on Islamic boarding school-based MAS teachers in South Tangerang City, a population of 133 teachers with a research sample of 53 teachers selected by random sampling. The results of this research show: First, there is a positive direct influence of the principal's authentic leadership on teacher performance obtained by the regression equation: = 94,050 + 0,899 X1 path coefficient (р31) = 0.636, so it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant direct influence of the principal's authentic leadership on teacher performance of 40,4%. Second, there is a positive direct influence of teacher affective commitment on teacher performance. The regression equation is obtained: = 105,930 +0,798 X2 of 35,0%, Third, there is a positive direct influence of the principal's authentic leadership on teachers' affective commitment with the regression equation: = 79,280 + 0,586 X1 path coefficient value (р21) = 0.504, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant direct influence of the principal's authentic leadership on teachers' affective commitment of 25,4%. Based on the findings of this research, it can be used as useful information for teachers, in particular, and all related parties. As an effort to improve teacher performance through the authentic leadership of school principals and increasing better teacher affective commitment.

Strategi Pengembangan Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah untuk Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru

The aim of this research is to find out how school principals' leadership development strategies can improve teacher performance. This research uses the library research method. The results of this research indicate that the principal's leadership development strategy to improve teacher performance is policy programs created by the principal with the aim of improving teacher performance. The role of the principal in providing motivation, direction and encouragement as well as supervising teacher performance is also a development strategy so as to provide opportunities for teachers to develop their capacity related to teacher performance assessment. Performance must be achieved by teachers in carrying out their duties of teaching, guiding and training students so that teacher performance is important to evaluate. Suggestions for further research are to use this title by highlighting more phenomenal variables.

Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Intruksional Kepala Madrasah dan Komitmen Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah Kabupaten Agam

Instructional leadership and work commitment are things that school principals must have. Teachers have an important role in education. Teacher performance also needs to be improved. Principals play an important role in shaping schools, especially in encouraging higher levels of institutional independence. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the influence of the madrasa head's instructional leadership and work commitment on the performance of Madrasah Tsanawiyah teachers in Agam Regency. The research used by the author is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis) method. The data used in this research is secondary data originating from national scientific articles in the period 2020 to 2024. The database used is Google Scholar. The keywords used are work commitment, leadership, teacher performance. The results of this research are: The results of this research show 15 articles that show a positive relationship between instructional leadership and work commitment to performance. The conclusion is that instructional leadership and work commitment influence performance, where the better the application of leadership and commitment to the organization, the more performance will improve. This relationship indicates that factors such as good leadership and high work commitment play a crucial role in maximizing individual and team performance in the organization.

Assessing the impact of motivational factors on the job performance of lecturers at Vietnam National University, Hanoi

Enhancing the work motivation and job performance of lecturers plays a critical role in elevating teaching quality and enhancing the reputation of universities. This study aims to evaluate work motivation's influence on lecturers' job performance at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi). This study considers five motivational factors, including salary and benefits, leadership competence, training and promotion opportunities, working conditions, and recognition and rewards. Lecturers' job performance is assessed based on teaching outcomes, research outcomes, and contributions to the community. The research surveyed 408 lecturers at VNU-Hanoi using a questionnaire. The structural equation modeling analysis results reveal three motivational factors that impact teaching performance: leadership competence, working conditions, and recognition and rewards. Furthermore, five motivational factors influence research outcomes: salary and benefits, leadership competence, training and advancement opportunities, working conditions, and recognition and rewards. Moreover, two motivational factors affect community activities: leadership competence and working conditions. Additionally, the analysis indicates that research outcomes not only affect teaching performance but also contribute to the community activities of lecturers. Based on these findings, the study proposes several solutions to enhance work motivation and improve the job performance of lecturers at VNU-Hanoi, including: VNU-Hanoi and its constituent units should continue to mobilize and efficiently utilize resources to improve the quantity and quality of lecturers' research outcomes; increase resources to enhance lecturers' income, welfare benefits, and rewards; boost investment and effectively utilize funds in infrastructure and teaching materials to support teaching and research activities; and strengthen the training of lecturers and educational management personnel.

‘How anxious I am’: the effect of different online modalities on Chinese language beginners’ classroom anxiety

ABSTRACT Foreign language classroom anxiety (FLCA) is ‘a distinct complex set of self-perceptions, beliefs, feelings and behaviours related to classroom language learning arising from the uniqueness of the language learning process’ (Horwitz, Horwitz and Cope 1986: 128) [Foreign language classroom anxiety. The Modern Language Journal 70, no. 2: 125–32] which potentially has a negative impact on achievement and engagement in language learning. The purpose of the investigation reported here was to examine how two online modalities – Zoom video conferencing and the virtual world, Second Life – affected FLCA among Chinese language beginners performing tasks using the different modes. Through statistical and thematical analyses of survey data along with open-ended questions from 55 participants, it was found that the relationship between FLCA levels experienced by learners on these modalities was influenced by various factors such as gender differences, task-related language skills, and self-perceived language proficiency. The study also suggests that FLCA is dependent on the learners’ immediate learning experience, particularly in relation to their level of engagement and task awareness. Despite the small sample size, the study sheds light on the advantages and limitations of each modality in terms of its effect on students’ FLCA and performance in task-based language teaching.

This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation and interviews which involve collecting information and data from various sources found in related educational institutions, the results of research carried out in the field are added. with relevant sources, articles, related notes and also includes journals related to the topic you want to complete. Leadership in educational institutions is one of the determinants of educational success and the achievement of educational goals in these institutions. Transformational leadership plays a very important role in the process of improving teacher performance, where this is proven by a leader who has a high transformational attitude, this leader will provide a positive example to employees. Especially in the implementation of e-performance management, teachers and school principals are required to be able and understand the flow of performance management well.

The Impact of Medical Care Provision on Teacher Welfare and Performance in Public Secondary Schools: A Case Study of Sheema Municipality, Uganda

This study investigates the relationship between the provision of medical care for teachers and their overall welfare and performance in public secondary schools within Sheema Municipality, Uganda. Teacher welfare, particularly medical benefits, is increasingly recognized as a critical factor in enhancing job satisfaction and effectiveness. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research explores how access to quality healthcare affects key performance indicators, such as attendance, time management, and class participation. The theoretical framework for this study integrates Herzberg’s Motivator-Hygiene Theory, Expectancy-Value Theories, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to highlight the essential role of healthcare in addressing basic needs and improving job satisfaction. The research concluded that the majority 64.4% of the teachers were in disagreement that schools always provide first aid to teachers whereas a minority 13.7% were in agreement. Findings suggest that access to medical care can significantly reduce teacher absenteeism, boost morale, and enhance engagement in professional duties, thereby positively impacting student outcomes. The results underline the importance of targeted welfare interventions to support teachers’ health, thereby contributing to broader educational goals and community development. The Impact of School Meal Provision on Teachers’ Performance and Students’ Academic Achievement in Sheema Municipality, Uganda

This study examines the impact of meal provision on both student academic performance and teacher welfare in public secondary schools in Sheema Municipality, Uganda. Grounded in motivational theories such as Herzberg’s Motivator-Hygiene Theory, Expectancy-Value Theories, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the research highlights the critical role of proper nutrition in supporting cognitive development and student concentration. Additionally, the study explores the effects of meal provision on teacher motivation and performance, finding that the availability of meals contributes significantly to teacher well-being and job satisfaction, which in turn enhances educational outcomes. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data from eight schools. Key findings indicate that schools face challenges in consistently providing nutritious meals due to financial constraints, exacerbating educational inequalities. A mean value of 4.3 on a 5-point Likert scale indicates broad agreement on the positive influence of meal provision on teacher welfare and student performance. The study recommends policy changes aimed at improving school meal programs by addressing financial and logistical barriers. These interventions are vital for promoting enhanced academic outcomes and the overall well-being of students and teachers in Sheema Municipality. Challenges In The Path Of Scientific Methodology And Research

The main objective of this work is to diagnose the reasons for the difficulty in learning Scientific Methodology and Research, especially at the undergraduate level. The greatest challenge is to organize knowledge and seek alternatives in the face of the problem of teaching scientific methodology and research, seeking strategies that can be used to improve the teaching of the discipline, in view of the difficulties presented by academics. After questioning through field research, the data were collected through descriptive and analytical statistics to conclude the research. We can see through the results that the difficulties exist, but that alternatives were suggested and that may contribute to alleviate the problem, the challenges of graduation. We cannot only professionalize academics but train them in the exercise of thinking and overcoming difficulties, opening possibilities and showing the need to move towards understanding and valuing science. This way of seeing and learning Scientific Research Methodology may contribute to a greater performance of teachers who are responsible for their teaching, obtain a better acceptance of the subject by students, not always very receptive and may, finally, provide a dynamic aimed at effective and integrative teaching. We do not have the pretension or the knowledge to dictate the rules, to point out solutions, only the desire to suggest that they get closer to the problem, to the difficulties in search of scientific knowledge

Evaluation of Teaching Performance of Dental College Lecturers in India

The actual goal of teaching dental students is to help them learn important skills and enhance their knowledge to become proficient doctors in the future and offer proper care to patients. However, dental teachers do not acquire formal training as a teacher. It is important to assess the teaching performance of the dental lecturers for their professional growth and student success. Further, peer evaluation is also significant as it provides benefits to students and lecturers as well. Hence, the study focuses on determining the teaching performance of dental lecturers in Tamil Nadu, India. The data from 20 participants has been collected using peer observation. With the help of a thematic table, significant results have been determined, indicating the different characteristics of the well-prepared, partially prepared, and not-prepared lecturers.

The Influence of Ethical Leadership, Teacher Capacity Building, and School Culture on the Performance of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers

This research is based on problems related to teacher performance seen from the perspective of the influence of ethical leadership, teacher capacity building, and school culture. The research objective is to describe: and school culture on teacher performance. (1) ethical leadership has a significant effect on school culture, (2) teacher capacity building has a significant effect on school culture (3) ethical leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance, (4) teacher capacity building leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance, ( 5) school culture has a significant effect on teacher performance, (6) ethical leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance through school culture (7) teacher capacity building has a significant effect on teacher performance through school culture and (8) the simultaneous influence of ethical leadership, teacher capacity building on teacher performance. The research method used is quantitative research using an expostfacto approach. The research population was 757 madrasah tsanawiyah teachers in Batubara Regency with a selected sample of 238 spread across 53 madrasas. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire designed with a Likert scale. The research hypothesis was tested using path analyst data analysis techniques. The research results show: (1) ethical leadership has a significant effect on school culture by 45.00%, (2) teacher capacity building has a significant effect on school culture by 66.90%, (3) ethical leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance of 33.00%, (4) teacher capacity building has a significant effect on teacher performance of 59.80%, (5) school culture has a significant effect on teacher performance of 37.50%, (6) ethical leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance through school culture was 61.40%, (7) teacher capacity building had a significant effect on teacher performance through school culture by 65.60%, and (8) ethical leadership, teacher capacity building, school culture simultaneously had an effect on performance Teacher. The findings of this research have the implication that efforts to improve teacher school culture can be done by increasing teacher capacity building among Madrasah Tsanawiyah teachers.

Exploring the influence of principal supervision, organizational climate, and teacher teaching experience on teacher performance

Purpose− The purpose of the research is to examine the combined and individual effects of school principals' supervision, organizational climate, and teacher teaching experience on teacher performance in Sub Rayon 03 Middle School in Purworejo Regency. The research method used was quantitative, and the analysis employed multiple linear regression analysis Method− The research employs a quantitative correlational approach, conducted at SMP Sub Rayon 03 Purworejo Regency with a sample of 95 teachers selected from a population of 130 using Isaac and Michael's sampling table. Data collection was carried out using research instruments, and the analysis involved multiple linear regression and partial correlation. Multiple linear regression was used to assess the combined effect of principal supervision, organizational climate, and teaching experience on teacher performance. Partial correlation analysis was conducted to determine the individual contributions of each variable to teacher performance. The significance of the regression equation was tested using the F test, while the t test was used for testing partial correlations. Findings− The analysis results concluded the following: 1) There was a positive and significant combined influence of principal supervision, organizational climate, and teacher experience on teacher performance in Middle Sub-Rayon 03, Purworejo District (R=0.635 and R2=0.403). 2) Principal supervision had a positive and significant impact on teacher performance in Sub-Rayon 03 Middle School District, Purworejo (r1y-23=0.251). 3) Organizational climate also had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance in Sub-Rayon 03 Middle School, Purworejo District (r2y-23=0.319). 4) Finally, teacher teaching experience contributed positively and significantly to teacher performance in Sub-Rayon 03 Middle School, Purworejo District (r3y-12=0.260).

Pemanfaatan Liveworksheet sebagai E-LKPD dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar PAI Tingkat Sekolah Dasar

There are significant differences in the implementation of the independent curriculum between urban and rural areas, especially in 3T areas. These differences start with teacher performance and extend to all aspects of education, including learning administration, teaching methods, and the way teachers assess, especially based on student learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to determine the use of live worksheets as E-LKPD in improving PAI learning outcomes at the elementary school level. This exploration uses a quantitative methodology with a pre-experimental configuration using a One Gathering Pretest-Posttest design. Based on the results of data analysis and questionnaires, the average student response to the use of live worksheets as E-LKPD in improving PAI learning outcomes was 79% in the practical category. Apart from that, the Paired Sample T-Test shows differences in PAI subjects before and after using E-LKPD, with an average score of 64.63 percent which is in the quite effective category and the significance level is below 0.05 or 0.001.

Pre-Service Mathematics Teachers' Performance on Reflection on Mathematics Teaching and Learning Using GeoGebra Programme

The advancement of applied mathematics founded upon information technology represents a pivotal aspect of contemporary mathematical development, with the integration of (IT) information technology into the mathematics curriculum becoming an indispensable necessity. The study of relevant IT-based courses by pre-service mathematics teachers will contribute to their professional development, as will their reflection on their teaching. This study combines the two, using 40 Master of Education students from a university as respondents and employing open-ended interviews to investigate the reflective performance of pre-service mathematics teachers in teaching mathematics after completing the GeoGebra course. Subsequently, the data were analysed from three perspectives: dimensions of reflection, level of reflection and degree of collaboration. The results were concluded as follows: 1. The dimensions of pre-service teachers' reflection was extensive but skewed, and reflection on the students' aspect was not yet evident; 2. The level of reflection was "describes only" (Level 1) and single-angle analytical (Level 2); 3. The degree of collaboration in teaching reflection was predominantly limited to "integration" and "self only"; 4. In conclusion, the GeoGebra programme can be considered an effective tool for assisting pre-service teachers in teaching mathematics. Therefore, it is suggested that: 1. It is recommended that higher education institutions reinforce the training of prospective mathematics teachers by incorporating pertinent GeoGebra courses into their curriculum. 2. Pre-service mathematics teachers should take the initiative to conduct learning, research, and reflection, and to improve their own awareness and ability to reflect, so that they can: (1) Strengthen their own mathematical knowledge and technical knowledge, and improve their own quality and professionalism; (2) Conduct multiple analyses by considering both teachers, students, and mathematics. knowledge reserves, improve their own quality and professionalism; (3) Pay attention to both group work and be able to think independently to identify problems.
