Pelatihan Pengurusan Jenazah (Tajhiz Al-Mayyit) Kepada Masyarakat Desa Binaan Universitas Malikussaleh

This service activity was carried out in the assisted villages of Malikussaleh University, namely Aceh Utara Regency (Payah Gaboh, Reuleut Timu, Reuleut Barat, and Cot Keumuneng Villages), Lhokseumawe City (Blang Pulo, Padang Sakti, Uteun Kot and Lancang Garam Villages). The funeral management training activity (Tajhiz Al-Mayyit) aims to provide education and practice to the community in terms of proper funeral management and following Islamic law. This activity was motivated by several partner problems, namely Lack of knowledge of partners (community) regarding Funeral Management and partners need training in the form of education and assistance to improve skills regarding Funeral Management. The method of implementing the activity consists of 2 stages, namely socialization; in the form of education on funeral management as fardhu kifayah. Workshop in the form of the practice of Funeral Management. This training activity was attended by representatives of each village appointed by their respective villages. The results of this activity can increase people's knowledge and skills regarding the Tajhiz Mayyit process.

Knowledge and perception about tuberculosis among general population attending community pharmacies in Mosul: A cross-sectional study.

To evaluate people's knowledge and perceptions regarding tuberculosis. The cross-sectional study was conducted at 10 community pharmacies in Mosul, Iraq, from December 2021 to March 2022, and comprised individuals of either gender aged >18 years. Data was collected using a 17-item questionnaire, with 12 questions related to knowledge and 5 related to perception regarding tuberculosis. Data was analysed using SPSS 25. Of the 200 participants with mean age 38.79+/-13.72 years, 113(56.5%) were females and 101(50.5%) had education up to university level. Overall, 85(42.5) subjects could differentiate between tuberculosis and pulmonary tuberculosis, and 176(88%) knew TB was curable. Besides, 135(67.5%) subjects said they would not visit patients with tuberculosis. The national tuberculosis control programme in Iraq seemed to have improved public awareness regarding tuberculosis.

Psychometric Properties and Gender Invariance of the Portuguese (European) Version of the Aging Sexual Knowledge and Attitudes Scale.

The sexuality of older people was understood as non-existent or as something outside the prevailing norm. In this sense, analysing people's sexual knowledge and attitudes towards older people is a challenge for theory and practice. The aim of this study is to translate and validate the Aging Sexual Knowledge and Attitudes Scale (ASKAS) for the Portuguese population. A sample of 994 Portuguese adults (70.9% women, n = 705) completed the ASKAS-PT along with a series of self-report measures. Confirmatory factor analysis and the psychometric properties of the Portuguese (European) version of ASKAS-PT were investigated, particularly reliability, temporal stability, and convergent and critical validity. This study also examined the gender measurement invariance of the ASKAS-PT. After confirmatory factor analysis, a two-factor model fit the Portuguese version best. Reliability and validity results also showed good results, and the ASKAS-PT appears to be a gender-invariant measure. Overall, the Portuguese version of the ASKAS showed good psychometric properties and appears to be a valid and reliable measure for assessing knowledge and attitudes about aging.

Pelatihan dan Pengembangan E-commerce UMKM Produksi Keripik Desa Gunting Dalam Masa Pandemi Covid-19

Gunting Village has good potential in the UMKM sector that is developed, one example is the UMKM production of chips. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a decrease in market demand for chip products. This is caused by the decline in people's purchasing power, limited access to marketing, and the lack of innovative types of marketing that are carried out. E-commerce is considered capable of being an alternative marketing method. The purpose of this service program is to provide assistance and training to chips UMKM owners in Gunting Village regarding online product marketing in the midst of a pandemic. The method used is the Action Research method which involves the target community group, namely the owners of UMKM chips in Gunting Village. Through the results of the Focus Group Discussion and identification of problems carried out, the agreed solution was socialization, training and mentoring activities. The service team offers efforts to expand people's knowledge about how to modify their marketing in e-commerce. It is hoped that these UMKM actors will be able to expand the range of the products they market with e-commerce features during this pandemic. Activities carried out by the service team include socialization, training and assistance regarding how important and multifunctional the market place is, and social media. The result of this activity is that the UMKM community in Gunting Village has started marketing UMKM products with e-commerce, and the virtual promotion they are doing has also been formed.

A new materialist (re)configuring of sexuality, age and the discourse of ‘childhood innocence’

AbstractThis article explores the potential of feminist new materialisms for rethinking enduring debates that cohere around children, sexuality, age and ‘childhood innocence’. A new materialist ontology of sexuality and Karen Barad's concept of spacetimemattering are employed to conceptualise sexuality as an emergent becoming of relational material‐discursive forces. Within this paradigm, mobilisation of arguments about ‘sexual innocence and readiness’ become a matter of entanglement of contingent ‘things’, ‘spaces’ and ‘ideas’, that includes young people's own sexual knowledge. We consider how this reorientation shifts the contours, debates and possibilities of sexuality education beyond restrictive ‘age‐appropriate’ narratives.

Renewal strategies of industrial heritage based on placeness theory: The case of Guangzhou, China

Studying the preservation and reuse of industrial heritage can improve people's knowledge and understanding of cultural heritage, thus deepening their sense of identity and belonging to the local culture. This study applies the theory of placeness to protect industrial architectural heritage, promote the organic revitalization of urban space, enhance local identity, and realize the visualization of tacit knowledge. Based on the theory of placeness, this study constructs an indicator system for industrial architectural heritage renewal strategy. The indicator system includes four primary indicators, namely State of Matter, Policy System, Behavior and Spirit, and 23 secondary indicators. Exploratory factor analysis is carried out using the post-evaluation (POE) method. This study concludes that (1) there are seven strategy combinations for industrial heritage renewal, including artistic expression, landscape and space, humanistic connotation, industrial building, history and culture, architectural features, and construction skills. The combination of strategies can enhance the locality and architectural originality. (2) The strategy combinations can be used in the design, construction, and operation stages of the whole life cycle and have been empirically demonstrated in typical projects in Guangzhou. Building Construction Atlas, Climatic Suitability, Building History/People, and Industrial Equipment have a higher contribution to the renewal effect of industrial buildings. (3) The 23 renewal strategy elements based on placeness provide new ideas for coding methods of historic buildings and modeling of historic building information model (HBIM). These strategy elements can be used to construct a knowledge graph of historic buildings and visualize tacit knowledge to promote sustainable construction and twin city construction.

Penyuluhan Optimalisasi Drainase Pedesaan Sebagai Langkah Maju Menuju Lingkungan Yang Lebih Baik

Plosasari village, located in the Puri Sub-district, Mojokerto regency, Jawa Timur, deals with a severe communal drainage system problem, including erosion and environmental pollution. This community service aims to provide counselling on village drainage optimization as a step towards a better environment. The methodology to realize this service starts with a preliminary survey to investigate the existing condition of the drainage channel, preparation of presentation material based on literature review and previous survey, and finally, the implementation of the seminar in the village hall. The counselling results show that people's knowledge about the importance of drainage increased, and practical solutions to tackle common drainage problems were successfully formulated, including good drainage infrastructure planning, integrated waste management, and smart technology. Some constraints to realize those solutions include the difficulty of gathering community members and the lack of waste disposal facilities. This counselling supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, especially for target number 6th, which is about clean water and sanitation, and target number 11th, which is about sustainable cities and communities, by proposing innovative and collaborative solutions for rainwater management and village drainage system. This counselling result can be implemented in other villages facing similar problems to improve the health and environmental conditions in the community.

Various Components and the present Scenario of Skill Development

Literacy enhances people's knowledge and abilities. Literacy as a fundamental human right is becoming more widely recognized across the globe. Because of this, learning never ends. Having skill makes any task easier to do. Practical education builds on previously gained information, and the two go hand in hand. Formal and informal channels of information dissemination have both been used by educational institutions. Making a student financially independent is one of the primary goals of formal education. College degrees are a boon to society in many ways, both financially and otherwise. Higher education students who participate in skill development programs get insight into themselves while also gaining practical knowledge, increasing their productivity, and realizing their full potential. Undergraduate students who were previously aimlessly pursuing higher education now have an alternate schooling option because to the social logic of these programs. But for skill development programs to be accessible, equitable, informative, and engaging for undergraduates—who "...have miles to go before they sleep"—and to be meaningful and effective in light of the changing global scenario, careful planning is essential.

Pemanfaatan Olahan Labu Kuning untuk MPASI sebagai Pencegahan Stunting pada Anak Balita

Gunung Mas District, Central Kalimantan Province, has serious concerns about stunting, with prevalence remaining high at both national and local levels. Stunting, as an indication of chronic malnutrition, requires effective interventions to improve this condition. One strategic effort is through the provision of nutritious complementary foods, with pumpkin as a potential local ingredient. Previous studies have shown that pumpkin is high in nutrients and effective in improving the nutritional status of toddlers. Universitas Palangka Raya, through the UPR 2024 Regular KKN Period I team, conducted education in Belawan Mulia Village to increase the local people's knowledge and skills on pumpkin-based complementary feeding. Implementation methods included education to the local people's forum and village institutions, along with the provision of complementary foods. The program results showed that the use of brochures and stickers were effective in spreading the information. The program succeeded in increasing the local people's knowledge, changing their feeding behavior, and contributing to the reduction of stunting and improvement of children's nutritional status.

Partisan Media, Trust, and Media Literacy: Regression Analysis of Predictors of COVID-19 Knowledge.

The COVID-19 pandemic was a devastating public health event that spurred an influx of misinformation. The increase in questionable health content was aided by the speed and scale of digital and social media and certain news agencies' and politicians' active dissemination of misinformation about the virus. The popularity of certain COVID-19 myths created confusion about effective health protocols and impacted trust in the health care and government sectors deployed to manage the pandemic. This study explored how people's information habits, their level of institutional trust, the news media outlets they consume and the technologies in which they access it, and their media literacy skills influenced their COVID-19 knowledge. We administered a web-based survey using Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) to assess US adults' (n=1498) COVID-19 knowledge, media and news habits, media literacy skills, and trust in government and health-related institutions. The data were analyzed using a hierarchical linear regression to examine the association between trust, media literacy, news use, and COVID-19 knowledge. The regression model of demographic variables, political affiliation, trust in institutions, media literacy, and the preference for watching Fox or CNN was statistically significant (R2=0.464; F24,1434=51.653; P<.001; adjusted R2=0.455) in predicting COVID-19 knowledge scores. People who identified as politically conservative, watched Fox News, and reported lower levels of institutional trust and media literacy, scored lower on COVID-19 knowledge questions than those who identified as politically liberal, did not watch Fox News and reported higher levels of institutional trust and media literacy. This study suggests that the media outlets people turn to, their trust in institutions, and their perceived degree of agency to discern credible information can impact people's knowledge of COVID-19, which has potential implications for managing communication in other public health events.

Autistic People's Perspectives on Parental Diagnosis Disclosure: A Grounded Theory Study.

Being diagnosed with autism has multiple implications for a person's life and self-identity. Although learning about autism at a younger age is correlated with quality of life, only a few studies have addressed parental disclosure thereof. This study conceptualizes autistic adults' perspectives on parental disclosure. The methods combine grounded theory with the emancipatory research paradigm, drawing on autistic people's personal knowledge. Eighty-five autistic adults participated in six focus groups (51 male, 33 female, 3 non-binary; Mage = 25); and 41 autistic adults were interviewed (22 male, 17 female, 2 non-binary; Mage = 28). Both focus groups and individual interviews addressed the way participants learned about their diagnosis from their parents, and their recommendations to other parents on how to disclose. Based on these findings, we developed autistic-driven recommendations for parental disclosure process. The participants viewed the diagnosis as validating their experienced otherness, helping them overcome shame, and promoting their self-understanding and self-advocacy skills. They recommended disclosure as soon as possible after diagnosis and stressed the importance of gradual disclosure according to the child's abilities. Furthermore, they suggested focusing on how autism manifested in the child's own life, rather than "autism" in general. Finally, they recommended presenting autism as a neutral or positive quality, highlighting its strengths and networking the child with other autistic individuals. In conclusion, this study reveals that parental disclosure is an ongoing and spiral process. The proposed model contributes significantly to post-diagnostic support for parents, providing a framework for effective communication about autism with their children.

Edukasi Penerapan Terapi Uap Sederhana dengan Minyak Kayu Putih di Posyandu Desa Karang Malang Puskesmas Gribig Kudus

This community service activity aims to provide education about the application of simple steam therapy with eucalyptus oil at the Karang Malang Village Posyandu, which is located in the Gribig Health Center area, Kudus. Steam therapy is one of the effective traditional treatment methods in relieving symptoms of respiratory disorders such as flu, cough, and cold. Eucalyptus oil was chosen because of its eucalyptol content which functions as a natural decongestant. The methods used in this activity include counseling and direct demonstrations to mothers who have children under five at the Posyandu. The educational material covers the benefits of steam therapy, how to make and use it, and the safety measures that must be considered. The results of this activity showed that participants understood the benefits and how to apply simple steam therapy with eucalyptus oil, and were able to apply it at home. This activity also succeeded in raising awareness of the importance of safe and effective traditional medicine in family health care. The conclusion of this activity is that education and live demonstrations are effective methods in improving people's knowledge and skills about simple steam therapy. The recommendation for the next activity is to expand the scope of this education to other villages and involve more health cadres to ensure the sustainability of the program.

Asymmetry in contraceptive information at two sites in Burkina Faso

BackgroundFamily planning programs are foundationally important to public health, but like any medical intervention, contraception has drawbacks in addition to its benefits. Knowledge of these drawbacks in addition to benefits is essential for informed choice. Despite a general consensus among family planning researchers and providers that contraceptive counseling should be unbiased, little quantitative research has assessed the extent of bias in contraceptive counseling, and in people's contraceptive knowledge more broadly. ObjectiveTo understand the extent to which women report being told more about the advantages of contraception than the disadvantages—a concept we call “asymmetry” in contraceptive counseling, at two research sites in Burkina Faso. MethodsWe use data from a cross-sectional population-based survey of 3,929 women residing in the catchment areas of the Ouagadougou (urban) and the Nouna (rural) Health and Demographic Surveillance Systems in Burkina Faso. We use descriptive statistics to explore asymmetry in knowledge of the benefits/advantages and risks/disadvantages of contraceptive use overall, as well as method-specific asymmetry among current method users regarding their counseling experience. FindingsResults show substantial asymmetry in knowledge of advantages/benefits of contraception compared to disadvantages/risks. 86% of respondents said they could name any advantage of family planning, while half of that proportion (43%) could name any disadvantage. We find a similarly stark asymmetry in method-specific results among contraceptive users, especially for hormonal/biomedical methods. We also find substantial variation between research sites, with urban respondents much less likely to self-report complete family planning knowledge than their rural counterparts. ConclusionOur results suggest that family planning messaging in Burkina Faso may place an emphasis on the advantages without a commensurate focus on disadvantages. Family planning programs worldwide must ensure that people can make informed choices based on balanced, accurate information about both the benefits and the disadvantages of contraception.

Barriers to, and Facilitators of, Checking Drugs for Adulterants in the Era of Fentanyl and Xylazine: Qualitative Study.

Overdose deaths continue to reach new records in New York City and nationwide, largely driven by adulterants such as fentanyl and xylazine in the illicit drug supply. Unknowingly consuming adulterated substances dramatically increases risks of overdose and other health problems, especially when individuals consume multiple adulterants and are exposed to a combination of drugs they did not intend to take. Although test strips and more sophisticated devices enable people to check drugs for adulterants including fentanyl and xylazine prior to consumption and are often available free of charge, many people who use drugs decline to use them. We sought to better understand why people in the New York City area do or do not check drugs before use. We plan to use study findings to inform the development of technology-based interventions to encourage consistent drug checking. In summer 2023, team members who have experience working with people who use drugs conducted 22 semistructured qualitative interviews with a convenience sample of people who reported illicit drug use within the past 90 days. An interview guide examined participants' knowledge of and experience with adulterants including fentanyl, xylazine, and benzodiazepines; using drug testing strips; and whether they had ever received harm reduction services. All interviews were audio recorded, transcribed, and analyzed for emerging themes. Most participants lacked knowledge of adulterants, and only a few reported regularly checking drugs. Reasons for not checking included lacking convenient access to test supplies, or a place to check samples out of the public's view, as well as time considerations. Some participants also reported a strong belief that they were not at risk from fentanyl, xylazine, or other adulterants because they exclusively used cocaine or crack, or that they were confident the people they bought drugs from would not sell them adulterated substances. Those who did report testing their drugs described positive interactions with harm reduction agency staff. New forms of outreach are needed not only to increase people's knowledge of adulterated substances and awareness of the increasing risks they pose but also to encourage people who use drugs to regularly check their substances prior to use. This includes new intervention messages that highlight the importance of drug checking in the context of a rapidly changing and volatile drug supply. This messaging can potentially help normalize drug checking as an easily enacted behavior that benefits public health. To increase effectiveness, messages can be developed with, and outreach can be conducted by, trusted community members including people who use drugs and, potentially, people who sell drugs. Pairing this messaging with access to no-cost drug-checking supplies and equipment may help address the ongoing spiral of increased overdose deaths nationwide.

The effectiveness of HIV/AIDS education models for adolescents with speech disabilities

Adolescents with disabilities deserve the best health care without discrimination. They can access gender-sensitive health care and rehabilitation. Health services include promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care. HIV and AIDS prevention in disabled people must start as soon as possible. Those with speech disabilities are encouraged to reach their full independence potential in case of an incident. This study tested an HIV/AIDS education model for speech-impaired people. At Indonesia's School of Disability, a non-randomized control group pre- and post-test design was used. In the study, 60 speech-impaired students were divided into 30 intervention and 30 control groups. Analyses used T-tests. Speech-disabled people's knowledge and attitudes improved with the virtual HIV/AIDS education model (P=0.007). Therefore, the HIV/AIDS education model should be implemented using virtual platforms to improve knowledge and attitudes, especially among speech-disabled teens. Virtual reproductive health education for children with speech disabilities improves knowledge and attitudes more than traditional methods, especially among visually impaired children.

Current Status and Challenges, Solutions and Achievements of Vietnamese Higher Education on the Path to Integration

Change is inevitable, to truly innovate from training and fostering staff to innovating teaching methods, teach how to learn, learn and boldly innovate the work of testing and assessing the learning results of students, access to competencies is necessary and urgent. In the past decades, Vietnam's vocational education system has had remarkable achievements and developments, making an important contribution to the task of raising people's knowledge and training human resources for the work of construction and preservation. protect and develop the country. Besides the great achievements mentioned above, vocational education in our country still contains many weaknesses and inadequacies, and there are many issues of great concern. A radical dissection revolution is needed to innovate and develop. To solve the above problem, the article synthesizes achievements, challenges, opportunities and offers solutions for Vietnamese vocational education based on integration.

Financial incentives for sanitation take-up: A randomized control trial in rural Vietnam

This study assesses the impact of financial incentives on hygienic latrine ownership by poor/near-poor households in Vietnam. Rural communes were randomly assigned to a control group and three treatment arm groups: (T1) a rebate for households that installed a hygienic latrine; (T2) a financial reward for commune governments if the proportion of hygienic latrines in their commune increased by 30 percentage points; (T3) both a household rebate and a commune reward. We find a strong and positive effect from the household rebate (treatment arms 1 and 3) but an insignificant effect from the commune reward (treatment arm 2) on household ownership of a septic tank latrine. Our analysis provides suggestive evidence that microcredit is a channel through which a rebate encourages the installation of septic tank latrines. We also find that treatment arm 3 increases people's knowledge regarding sanitation and the availability of water and soap for handwashing within households.

Effect Of Health Education Using Video To Increase Community Knowledge And Attitude Regarding Hypertension Diseases In Terebino Village

Background: Hypertension diseases in Terebino Village have the highest ranking of the 4 villages in the Ulunambo Health Center area, namely 431 cases. Meanwhile, in other villages, such as Padei Laut Village, there were only 362 cases, in Padala Village there were 329 cases, and in Kofalagadi Village there were only 282 cases. This research aims to analyze the effect of counseling on community knowledge and attitudes about hypertension in Terebino Village. Methods: The type of research used is Pre-Experimental Study using the Pretest-Posttest Designs. The population in this study was 74 families, with a proportional random sampling technique, namely 63 respondents. The analysis method uses the T-Independent test. Results: The statistical tests using the T-Independent test showed there is an influence of education through video media on people's knowledge and attitudes regarding hypertension in Terebino Village (p&lt;0.000 of knowledge; p&lt;0.000 of attitude). Conclusions: Health education using video media is effective in increasing public knowledge and attitudes about preventing hypertension in Terebino Village. Thus, health promotion towards increasing awareness and knowledge about hypertension is really needed for the community in Terebino Village to control hypertension.

THE FACTORS IMPACTING OVER ORGANIC PRODUCT’S MARKET: A STUDY OF KUMAUN REGION OF UTTARAKHAND

Since ancient times, India has employed the organic farming technique, which is primarily concerned with producing agricultural products that are sustainable in a clean, unpolluted environment. In order to achieve the necessary agricultural production for human consumption, organic production methods make use of natural resources, maintaining the ecosystem and ecology alive and well. Using naturally occurring resources as inputs, such as organic wastes, farm, animal, and crop wastes, aquatic wastes, other biological materials, and beneficial microbes, is the environmental focus of organic production. Biofertilizers and biocontrol agents are used to release nutrients into crops and shield them from insect pests and diseases in order to increase agricultural productivity. It is imperative that farms move to organic practices. India, a nation that depends heavily on agriculture, must take measures to address the issue of its rapidly expanding population.Although there has been a noticeable movement in people's knowledge of organic food, it appears to be quite gradual. The cultivation of organic crops using the organic farming technique is gaining steam on a global scale. To achieve sustained food, livelihood, and environmental security, a range of alternatives to chemical intensive agriculture must be developed. The present study is an Exploratory cum Descriptive Research in nature with a sample size of 200 customers and various statistical tools such as frequency distribution, percentage, arithmetic mean and general linear Univariate model used. The respondents from different age group, different qualifications and others agreed that there should be an immediate improvement in the product accessibility in the market and the government as well as the producers, should play a key role in it. The study concludes that Organic product’s Market availability needs to improve from Govt. as well as producers both.

Level of knowledge of FIKES students (Faculty of Health Sciences) Muhammadiyah Lamongan University about halal skincare products

The majority of the religion adhered to by the population in Indonesia is Islam, where in Islam it has been ordered to all Muslims to consume, utilize and use something that is halal and also good including skincare. Skincare is a product of skin care outside the body with certain functions. However, people's knowledge of using halal skincare is still low, this is evidenced by the fact that they are still allowed to use skincare that does not have halal certification because these products are commonly used. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of students of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) Muhammadiyah Lamongan University about halal skincare. This study used a descriptive observational research design, and the sample for this study was 2022 FIKES students, a total of 390 students. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire in the form of Google form. The results showed that the knowledge level of FIKES students about halal skincare was in the good category of 47.69%, the sufficient category was 46.16%, the less category was 6.15%. It can be concluded that the knowledge level of FIKES students at Muhammadiyah Lamongan University about halal skincare is in the good category.
