When a person suddenly enters a new life that he does not know, it is both very exciting and difficult for him. A young student who has just arrived at the university experiences very mixed emotions. It is both joyful and meets new friends, new subjects, teachers and a new learning process. The article exam¬ines the relationship between the teacher's pedagogical culture and the process of students' adaptation to the conditions of the teaching process in the higher school; At the same time, the essence and content of the con¬cepts of "adaptation" and "pedagogical skill" are revealed. The pedagogical skill of a high school teacher is considered as a complex system consisting of many interconnected components, among which the teacher's personal qualities, special pedagogical ability, high organizational culture and, most importantly, deep pro¬fessional knowledge occupy an important place. Also, the article describes a whole set of contradictions in the educational process of the higher education institution and provides a place for their elimination. Due to the elimination of these conflicts, adaptation of students to the educational process can happen easily. The research also characterizes the main distinguishing features of the management of the educational process and the issues that contribute to the establishment of productive pedagogical communication between the participants of the educational process. A humanistic style of pedagogical communication is impossible without personal qualities such as humanism and intelligence, high moral culture and responsibility. In the article, the results of the survey conducted with the students of Nakhchivan State University were analyzed and presented.

Professional Growth Pathways for Primary School Teachers in Multi-grade Environment: Challenges and Solutions

The main objective of the current research was to investigate the professional development of teachers in public schools who teach in classes with several grade levels. Professional development is a crucial aspect of effective multi-grade teaching. Multi-grade teaching is believed to have a substantial influence on both instruction and learning. A descriptive research method was used for the study. The study population consisted of 200 government school instructors, from which a sample of 496 teachers was randomly chosen using simple random sampling. The selection was made from public schools in the Ziarat area of Balochistan, Pakistan. The data were subjected to analysis using factor analysis,ANOVA,and chi-square test. The research findings suggest that instructors with expertise and pedagogical abilities achieve higher levels of teaching and learning outcomes in multi-grade classes. The study suggested that the administration should arrange training programs to augment the pedagogical knowledge and proficiency of instructors in schools.

GENDER DIFFERENCES IN PERCEPTIONS OF GOOD AND EFFECTIVE ENGLISH TEACHER

This study aims to investigate how male and female view the meaning of a good and effective English teacher. The study was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Banjar and carried out using a descriptive qualitative research method with open ended questionnaire as an instrument distributed to 83 students. The data were collected through open ended questionnaire by providing 10 statements regarding the characteristics of good English teacher and 10 statements for effective English teachers. Male students consider the teacher-student relationship more important, or more precisely, a relaxed and calm state due to a good relationship between teacher and student in declaring a good English teacher, while female students consider the instructional competencies of teachers more important in declaring a good English teacher. Then regarding the opinions of male and female students about the most important character to declare an effective English teacher, they choose different characters, but both refer to the teacher's pedagogical ability, especially in understanding students' abilities and characteristics, because if they already have good abilities in understanding character and student abilities, the impact will also be very good on student learning outcomes.

Defining music demonstration lessons: a unique performance-based lesson type improving teachers’ instructional skills in Chinese mainland education

Abstract Teaching is a highly complex act, and learning to teach in an educational era that combines both teacher-centred and student-centred approaches presents additional challenges. Conducting demonstration lessons (DL) is one of the methods aimed at enhancing teachers’ instructional skills. This study examines the features and functions of this unique type of lesson from the perspective of music demonstration teachers in Guangdong, China. Through observation and interviews, the findings not only reveal the prevalence of DLs as performance-based lessons in Chinese teachers’ professional lives but also explore their distinctions from regular school teaching and their potential for improving teachers’ pedagogical abilities. Concerns and issues related to this type of lesson, along with possible solutions, are also discussed to provide recommendations for incorporating DLs into teacher training programmes in higher education institutions.

Профессиональное самоопределение в контексте непрерывного образования

<p><em>The article is devoted to the problem of professional self-determination of schoolchildren in the field of pedagogical activity. It is shown that this self-determination occurs in the process of lifelong education, which at each age stage creates conditions for the development of professional orientation of schoolchildren. The stage of pre-professional (pre-university) pedagogical education includes preschool childhood, takes place at school, ends with the choice of a profession, its main task is to develop interest in the teaching profession, identify and form pedagogical abilities. The stage of professional education helps the student to accept the requirements of the profession. The stages of mentoring and postgraduate education allow the teacher to find deeper meanings in the field of professional activity. The positive role of creating pedagogical classes at school is noted in order to provide students with more directed psychological preparation for choosing a teaching profession and more meaningful admission to a pedagogical university. Some proposals have been formulated for a program that ensures the educational process in teaching classes.</em></p>

Analisis Cluster: Pedagogy Knowledge Guru Menuju Digitalisasi Pendidikan di Era Merdeka Belajar Berdasarkan Daerah Afirmasi

The competence possessed by teachers is an important factor in achieving learning and education goals in schools. One of the essential competencies in the learning process is pedagogical competence. The Era of Independent Learning marks a paradigm shift in education in Indonesia by utilizing technology to improve the quality of learning. However, challenges arise especially in affirmation areas that have different socio-economic conditions and educational infrastructure. This study aims to determine the ability of teachers' pedagogic competence in facing the digitalization of education in the era of Independent Learning based on affirmation areas. In addition, this study also groups teachers based on their pedagogic abilities towards the digitalization of education in the era of Freedom of Learning using cluster analysis analyzed through SPSS For Windows 23. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents from several affirmation regions in Indonesia, such as Bima, West Lombok, East Lombok, Central Lombok, Maluku, NTT, Papua, and Sumbawa. Additional respondents came from non-affirmative areas as comparators, including Mataram City, Surabaya, Kalimantan, and Magetan East Java. The results of the study show that West Lombok Regency has the highest level of pedagogic competence among affirmation areas with a score of 87.74, while Bima Regency has the lowest score of 75. This average score is still categorized as high because it is above 75. The comparison area shows that Magetan has the highest average score of 100. Cluster analysis showed the formation of two groups, namely cluster 1 consisting of teachers from Magetan, Papua, West Lombok, and NTT, and cluster 2 consisting of teachers from Kalimantan, Bima, Surabaya, Mataram City, Maluku, Sumbawa, and Central Lombok.

School Learning Practice Program in Improving Pedagogical Competence of Preservice Teachers

This study examines the evaluation of the learning practice program at school, specifically the practical field experience program organized by the Education Laboratory of the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This program seeks to develop the pedagogical ability of preservice teachers through hands-on experience in the field. This research employed a mixed method, also known as evaluation research. The researchers employed the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model to assess the program's effectiveness. The findings reveal that the practical field experience program improves preservice teachers' pedagogical competence. However, it still requires improvement and development in various areas, including choosing preferred schools/madrasas, implementation time, and the number of teaching practices. The findings of this study show that program participants who adhere to the program receive more expertise in real-world classroom learning practices. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that the practical field experience program at the FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta helps develop the pedagogical competence of preservice teachers. However, it requires further improvement and development to improve program quality.

Analisis Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru PAI Dalam Kegiatan Pembelajaran PAI di SMA Bakong Pittaya School Pattani Thailand

A keyelement in the growth of teaching as a professionis teacher competency. A teacher needs to be proficient in a variety of behaviors, knowledge, and abilities in order to accomplish their professional tasks, which are demonstrated in their performance. When it comes to designing learning activities that will provide the best learning out comes, pedagogical expertise is the most important factor to take in to account. In actuality, though, there are still educators who lack pedagogical competency. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Islamic Education (PAI) teachers' pedagogical proficiency in PAI learning activities at Bakong PittayaSchool in Pattani, Thailand. To comprehend the elements influencing the level of pedagogical competenceof PAI instructors at Bakong Pittaya School in Pattani, Thailand, as well as the characteristics of teacher competence in Thailand. This study takes a descriptive approach while using a qualitative research methodology. Data collection techniques, content analysis, interviews, and observation are all part of qualitative research. This study is being conducted at Bakong Pittaya School in Pattani, Thailand. According to the author's discussions with Islamic Education instructors and the school director, the pedagogical ability of PAI teachers at Bakong Pittaya School in Pattani, Thailand, is deemed good. Three components make up the pedagogical competency of PAI teachers: creating learning implementation plans (RPPs), carrying out learning, and conducting assessments. Teacher competency in Thailand is regulated by a teacher constitution that out lines the abilities or competencies a teacher must have, referred to as the teacher standards. Factors affecting the quality of pedagogical competence of PAI teachers in Thailand include internal factors such as efforts and initiatives from the PAI teachers themselves to develop knowledge in their field. Lack of discipline and responsibility among teachers pose a significant challenge for schools in Thailand in improving teacher competence. External factors include the school's support in providing learning facilities. Supporting factors involveactive participation from parents, community associations, teacher representatives, student representatives, directors, and principals, as well as academic experts/advisors, all of whom are part of the school committee. А. I. Kagalnyak: an unforgettable mentor аnd wise psychologist

The article highlights the professional and scientific work of psychologist Hanna Ivanovna Kahalnyak, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, Honored Secondary Education Worker. Hanna Ivanovna's scientific heritage has more than 70 works. Her research covers a wide range of topics: features of the development of thinking operations in primary school students, study of mental development of younger students, professionally important qualities of future teachers, their positive dynamics during their studies in a secondary education institution; motivational sphere of education of children, the influence of the temperament of teachers on the education of students, etc. The author of the dissertation «Peculiarities of Comparison in Younger Students» conducted an experiment, during which she taught children to analyze, compare, and structure various subjects. She managed to establish that the features of comparison depend on the content of the compared objects; the degree of their generalization; proximity or distance from each other. In the manual «Psychology of Abilities», Hanna Ivanivna describes in detail the connection between abilities, knowledge, experience and skills, confirming with interesting examples from the lives of famous people. The manual contains a thorough description of various types of abilities, in particular a detailed description of the structure of pedagogical abilities. The author supplemented the structure developed by her supervisor G. С. Kostyuk, his own research and interesting examples. The manual also talks about the conditions for the formation of students' abilities that can be useful for teachers and psychologists in modern educational practice. In the monograph «Teacher's personality: socio-psychological aspect» Hanna Ivanovna explores the versatility of the teacher's personality. She emphasizes that each teacher has a unique set of characteristics that affect their professional activities. The author of the monograph describes various aspects of the teacher's personality: individual traits, communication style, teacher's humor, understanding of the individual characteristics of students and colleagues; methods of work that can be used by modern teachers. Six publications H. I. Kahalnyak included in WoS. Our university has created a Research Laboratory «Improvement of the skill of the future psychologist named after Hanna Ivanіvna Kahalnyak». Laboratory workers continue to investigate the scientific heritage of H. I. Kahalnyak and implement her ideas in the modern educational space.

USE OF PEDAGOGICAL METHODS BASED ON THE MODERN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM TO INCREASE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EDUCATION

This article provides information on the nature of teachers' activities in the implementation of the program of using modern pedagogical and psychological teaching methods to improve the quality of education. The main goal of our research is to improve the quality of education in the Republic of Uzbekistan and to use computer system information in the application of modern methods. Now that we are living in the age of advanced technologies, it is necessary to make good use of the possibilities of technology that we know. In this regard, all opportunities and conditions have been created in the educational system. Information is provided about the principles required in the teacher's work in the preparation of modern science methods. The main goal and task of this article is to study the research conducted in the modern education process and develop programs using methods based on interactive and innovative technologies. The analysis of improving the psychological and pedagogical ability of teachers is widely discussed. In the course of our research, a number of tasks were given to increase the effectiveness of the educational system, teachers' use of modern scientific methods.

Rethinking of EMI in Higher Education in Mainland China from a Critical View on its Efficacy

English as a medium of instruction (EMI) has gained significant popularity and development over the past decade, especially in higher education, reflecting a larger trend toward globalization. While EMI is becoming a widespread institutional practice, the bulk of research has mainly concerned with its effectiveness for subject content and language proficiency. Those research appeared to have reached a point of saturation, necessitating a new perspective focused on problem-solving. However, previous studies have shown inconsistent findings whether students benefit from taking content-based courses through a language that they are still developing. Researchers should promptly examine the elements that impact efficacy, such as students' inadequate English proficiency and teachers' insufficient pedagogical ability. This study analyse the current situation and major problems of EMI course in colleges and universities. From students' learning adaptations, and teachers' pedagogical proficiency, this study clarifies with a view to providing certain insights for the development of EMI courses in China.

Implementation of ICT-Based Quiz Design Training in Improving the Pedagogic Competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teachers in Sei Tulang Raso District

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based quiz design training is important in improving the pedagogical competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in Sei Tulang Raso District. In the context of modern education, the use of ICT as a learning tool has a very significant role. This study aims to explore the impact of ICT-based quiz design training on the pedagogical ability of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers. This study used quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect data from teachers who attended this training. The results showed that ICT-based quiz design training was effective in improving teachers' pedagogic skills. Teachers who attended this training experienced an increase in designing engaging and interactive quizzes using technology. They also gained a better understanding of the integration of ICT in daily learning, which in turn improved the quality of teaching in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research makes an important contribution to our understanding of the importance of ICT training in the context of religious education, particularly in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The practical implication of this research is the development of better training strategies to support teachers in the face of 21st century learning demands. In addition, the results of this study also provide a basis for more effective and relevant education policies in the future.

Implementation and Challenges of Problem Based Learning in Critical Thinking Skills in Elementary Schools: A Review of Pedagogic Competencies

<p><em>This study describes the role of teachers in terms of teachers' pedagogical abilities in implementation and the obstacles experienced in applying problem-based learning models to critical thinking skills. Research focus: 1) identify teacher planning and implementation in the application of problem-based learning models on critical thinking skills in terms of pedagogic competence. 2) Describe the challenges faced by teachers and students in the application of critical thinking skills. 3) Solutions that can be done by teachers in implementing problem-based learning models on critical thinking skills. The research method used is </em><em>descriptive</em><em> qualitative with data collection techniques of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The result of this study is that teachers in planning learning objectives in RPP have not contained critical skill indicators. Teachers can empower students' critical thinking skills, as facilitators teachers can improve classroom management skills to achieve learning goals. Group discussion forums can be an alternative solution to the challenges faced by teachers and students in optimize critical thinking skills.</em><em> The conclusion of this study is that pedagogic competence has an effect on optimizing the application of problem-based learning models and critical thinking skills.</em></p>

The Influence of Principal Instructional Leadership, School Climate, and Work Motivation on Teacher Professionalism in Public High Schools throughout Barito Kuala Regency

Low teacher professionalism in State Senior High Schools in Barito Kuala Regency is caused by instructional leadership, school atmosphere, and job motivation, thus this study aims to increase teacher professionalism. This study examines how Principal Instructional Leadership, School Climate, and Work Motivation affect Teacher Professionalism in Barito Kuala Regency Public High Schools. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods and a route analysis model (Part Analysis) to analyse variable influences. Probability Sample Random Sampling was used to sample 145 of 228 state teachers in Barito Kuala Regency's state high schools. SPSS 20 was used to descriptively and inferentially analyse questionnaire and documentation data. The regression coefficient of the principal's instructional leadership variable on teacher professionalism was 0.283. School climate favouring teacher professionalism 0.248. Work motivation on teacher professionalism 0.434. Principal instructional leadership on school atmosphere 0.748. On work motivation, the principal's instructional leadership was 0.871, and indirectly: Principal teaching on teacher professionalism via school atmosphere had a leadership 0.178 path coefficient. Principal instructional leadership towards teacher professionalism via job motivation had a 0.730 path coefficient. This research found that the principal's instructional leadership, school climate, and work motivation at Barito Kuala Regency Public High School are high, while teacher professionalism is very high. The principal's instructional leadership, school atmosphere, and job motivation somewhat affect teacher professionalism in Barito Kuala Regency state high schools. The principal's instructional leadership indirectly affects teacher professionalism via school atmosphere and job motivation in Barito Kuala Regency state high schools. The suggestions demand more teacher professionalism, notably pedagogical ability.

Development of Character-Based E-Module Design to Improve Elementary School Students' Experiences

Increasing the development of students' character values in schools is a potential strategy to address the moral crisis that the education sector is currently going through, which is causing negative behavioral changes in students. Not only could attitudes be utilized to instill character qualities, but educational media can also be utilized to facilitate learning. To enhance the caliber of instructional resources and refine the pedagogical abilities of teachers, learning media could be adapted by several resources in changing times. Therefore, one of the methods is to use character-value-laden electronic modules as instructional materials. This study aims to determine whether using this e-module could help students learn more effectively in the classroom and develop their character. The character-based E-Module is suitable for use as a learning tool and has the potential to help students develop their character in the classroom, according to findings from several sources gathered through the literature study technique. However, we recommend that future studies elaborate on the character impact of the students learning in classroom activities by using other learning media.

Formation of Professional and Pedagogical Abilities and Skills for the Implementation of the State Educational Standard of School General Education of the Kyrgyz Republic

As part of the experimental work, a plan-program has been developed to increase the level of professional and pedagogical preparedness of primary education teachers. The fundamental idea of the plan-program for increasing the level of professional preparedness becomes the integrity of the pedagogical activity of the teacher and his consciousness. The fundamental idea of the plan-program for increasing the level of professional preparedness becomes the integrity of the pedagogical activity of the teacher and his consciousness. The plan-programs are designed to solve a number of problems: the adoption by teachers of the ideology of the new educational standard, the development of more effective methods of digitalization technology, pedagogical equipment, methods of educational and cognitive activities aimed at achieving the intended learning outcomes for students, the development of a modern system of requirements for the objective assessment of student activities. Primary education teachers have increased motivation to implement the state educational standard of school general education, professional and personal values have been formed, the magnitude, meaningfulness, knowledge, forms of means, methods and techniques of teaching have increased, the independent manifestation of skills and professional actions in the process of performing relevant tasks has improved, more purposefully use interactive tools and digital materials in the educational and cognitive process, develop control and assessment tasks using them, and reflect on their professional and pedagogical activities.

Increasing Student Self-Efficacy in Aphasia Through a Simulated Escape Room

Purpose: This study aimed to explore students' learning outcomes as a result of participating in a simulated aphasia escape room related to (a) the development of aphasia assessment and treatment self-efficacy, (b) students' perceptions of the experience, and (c) overall student performance on escape room tasks. Method: Thirty-six first-year graduate students were guided through simulation procedures, including prelearning, prebrief, simulation, and debriefing for an educational escape room with puzzles related to aphasia knowledge and skills. Assessment measures for student outcomes included pre- and postsimulation self-efficacy surveys, a survey for instructor feedback, and clinical educator judgment of student completion of escape room tasks. Results: The students' self-efficacy ratings, pre- and postsimulation, were assessed using paired-samples t tests. In addition, central tendency and dispersion measures were computed for specific items assessing the students' perception of the simulation. Students demonstrated a statistically significant increase in self-efficacy across all targeted tasks. Student survey responses overall were favorable toward the simulated escape room experience and provided constructive feedback for design improvements. Conclusions: Escape room simulations have the pedagogical ability to expose students to low-stakes clinical tasks and require them to evaluate their own experiences within the clinical simulation. In addition, the gamified atmosphere of the escape room positively contributes to student learning. This work has implications for student teaching and training and the potential for carryover to clinical contexts to improve effective communication, assessment, and treatment skills for patients with aphasia in early career speech-language pathologists.

Pengaruh Program Kurikulum Merdeka terhadap Pengembangan Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru Penggerak dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan di Provinsi Jawa Tengah

Abstract. The purpose of this article is to show how the Independent Curriculum program implemented by BBGP Central Java Province has affected the progress of education in Indonesia, especially in improving the quality of teachers. Therefore, teachers must be able to adapt to government regulations in order to achieve national education goals and be able to provide effective and efficient quality learning in encouraging a globally competitive generation, so that teachers must master 4 (four) competencies, namely pedagogical, professional, social and personality. One of the Independent Curriculum programs is teacher mobilization, which is a regional government initiative to strengthen teacher competence and quality through improving pedagogical abilities, leadership and the application of innovation in the learning process. This writing uses a descriptive qualitative method with the data collection techniques used are interviews and literature reviews. The place used for writing this article is the Center for Teacher Mobilization in Central Java Province. The research results show that the entire Merdeka Curriculum program is aimed at improving education in Indonesia, especially the teacher mobilization program which has an important role in improving and increasing the quality of teachers in Central Java. Through BBGP Central Java Province, teachers have the opportunity to take part in training and coaching aimed at improving teaching skills, understanding the latest curriculum, and applying innovative learning methods, so that teachers are able to design learning processes that are relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum, namely learning that emphasizes differentiation, social learning. emotional, and positive discipline.

Формування дослідницьких умінь майбутніх вихователів ЗДО у процесі виконання навчальних завдань

The article examines scientific approaches to the implementation of a relevant component in the content of the professional training of future teachers of preschool education institutions – mastering pedagogical techniques in general and research skills, in particular, during their studies in higher education institutions. An attempt was made to consider research skills as pedagogical abilities, which are formed in the process of mastering the content of the educational components of professional training in the specialty 012 “Preschool education”. The importance of studying the methodology of scientific research by students is emphasized, since search and research activity is an important factor in the formation of critical thinking of preschool children, as well as their assimilation of the content of professional psychological and pedagogical knowledge as a whole complex, however, and specific methods of their education and upbringing, which serve for future educators as the basis for the formation of their research skills. The scientific principles and current approaches to the development of the individual style of the teacher’s professional activity are presented in the perspective of his activity in classes in accordance with the content of the current programs of professional education. Ways to increase the effectiveness of students’ cognitive activities and their preparation for organizing appropriate activities with children of different age groups are outlined in order to acquire knowledge, develop research behavior skills, organize independent search actions, as well as master the skills of independently organizing the search for interesting information in the natural environment and in specially created conditions. It has been proven that the research skills of the future teacher of special education are formed on acquired theoretical knowledge, practical skills and skills in various types of pedagogical practice in special education and are characterized by reflexivity, multi-functionality, structural integrity and positive motivation.
