Haematological study in pulmonary tuberculosis and the effect upon it of large doses of vitamin c

Summary The ingestion of 250 mg. of natural ascorbic acid daily by patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, in addition to the amount in their diets, appears to have improved their blood picture generally. The prognosis is better in the treated cases as judged by the lymphocyte: monocyte ratio and Houghton's Index.
