Pelatiahan Pelaporan SPT Tahunan Wajib Pajak Orang Pribadi Melalui E-Filing

The purpose of this community service is to provide direct training to residents/communities in Pangururan, Siallagan Village, and Ulos Village of Samosir Regency on filling out the 1770SS tax return through e-filing. This training was held at the Samosir Regency DEKRANASDA Hall on Saturday, 04 March 2023, starting at 09.00 until completion and was attended by 32 participants. This activity began with an opening prayer, opening activities by the Dinas Koperasi & UMKM Kabupaten Samosir, remarks from the head of the Faculty of Economics and Business, HKBP Nommensen University, presentation of material and practice with the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach, discussion and closing. This training is very helpful for participants to report their taxes on time and avoid calculation errors. Technically, there were still obstacles during this training because the internet network was less supportive and participants did not master the use of laptops / smart phones as a medium in reporting taxes through e-filing. Nevertheless, over all the participants were very enthusiastic in responding to the explanation from the resource person and based on the explanation gradually the participants were able to report their taxes through e-filing.

Real-world experiments as a teaching and learning approach for sustainable consumption education

Purpose This paper aims to propose and evaluate an innovative approach to education for sustainable consumption (ESC) which empowers teenagers and young adults to improve sustainable consumption competences. This approach combines pedagogical learning approaches such as real-world learning (e.g. experiential learning and research-based learning) with transformative and transdisciplinary research approaches (i.e. real-world laboratory research). Design/methodology/approach Through a transdisciplinary research design, the authors explore if real-world experiments (RWEs) offer a suitable approach for sustainable consumption education at schools. RWEs are a research approach for knowledge production, aiming to go beyond temporary interventions, to establish semi-permanent spaces for sustainability transformation and reflexive learning. To evaluate this proposal, the authors study already existing active teaching and learning approaches developed within and for ESC and put these in perspective, to define and understand the RWEs. Findings Insights from a transdisciplinary research project which applied RWEs as a teaching and learning approach in German schools complement conceptual considerations. As a result, advantages, such as the development of core competencies among learners, but also challenges experienced, are illustrated. Though, the challenges found are not unique to the RWE, rather they point out important potentials for ESC through suggesting systematic changes in educational institutions and teaching approaches. Originality/value This paper explores RWEs as an active and participatory teaching and learning approach for sustainable consumption education at schools and delivers practical insights and a definition of RWEs as an innovative teaching and learning approach.

Optimizing Lifelong Learning Opportunity for the Out-of-School Youth and Adults: A Needs Assessment for Empowerment and Educational Advancement

As advocated in UNSDG 4, lifelong learning is crucial in providing alternative learning opportunities to marginalized individuals with limited access to formal education. Through the non-formal and informal education projects under the Alternative Learning System (ALS), the out-of-school youth and adults are given a chance to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enhance their employability, personal development, and overall well-being. This needs analysis research, anchored with the Participatory Learning and Action Approach and the Theory of Critical Pedagogy, aimed at designing innovative non-formal and informal education projects aligned with the needs and interests of out-of-school youth and adults. The data collected from 136 ALS learners showed that the priority projects should focus on pre-employment activities, personality development and career planning, substance abuse prevention, eCommerce and entrepreneurship, cooking and baking, and sports and fitness. Results revealed that the project components are implemented successfully to a moderate extent. The factors that affected its implementation included the need for more sufficient resources, inadequate monitoring and evaluation, and limited opportunities to participate or apply the acquired skills. The ALS learners pinpointed that low interest or motivation, lack of time due to work commitments, low awareness of the programs, and transportation or distance-related issues contributed to low peer engagement.

Perception of Multimodal Portfolios as a Pedagogical Strategy for Learning Writing in a Digital Context

Active learning is increasingly recognized as a cornerstone of higher education's teaching-learning paradigm. In this context, educators serve as facilitators, empowering students to take the lead and assume co-responsibility for their learning. Among the array of active learning strategies available, the portfolio stands out as an instrument that not only aids in knowledge construction but also fosters the development of crucial skills like autonomy and creativity. Furthermore, it serves as an interactive and participatory learning approach that encourages self-assessment and reflection on the teaching-learning journey. Portfolios, through the continual (re)construction of knowledge and ongoing collaborative engagement between students and educators, promote self-regulated learning by progressively fostering students' awareness of their learning process. This study reflects on the pedagogical application of individual portfolios, aiming to explore their role in enhancing writing skills within a digital context and nurturing cross-disciplinary skills highly valued by employers. Specifically, it delves into students' perceptions of the portfolio construction process within the Internet Writing course, a segment of the Master's degree program in Marketing and Digital Communication at the University of Aveiro (Portugal). After a brief examination of active learning strategies, with a specific emphasis on portfolios as tools for self-reflection and learning, the study analyzes questionnaire survey results utilizing SPSS software. The survey was administered to students enrolled in the course to assess the effectiveness of the applied teaching strategy. Lastly, based on the findings, this work identifies potential limitations and suggests strategies for improvement in future implementations.

In addition to value added, product quality also has a very important role for every entrepreneur in running their business. Product quality is among the relatively most influential aspects of product purchase decisions. The objective of this activity is to help solve the problem of UMKM Tirtha Shanum, which is the production of crocodile processing. The approach offered to help partner issues is Participatory Learning and Action (PLA). Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approaches are characterized by socialization, discussion, and practical training in person. Product processing innovations evolved by creating a variety of processed products based on crocodile tongue. UMKM Tirtha Shanum also processed the crocodile tongue plant into a coconut tongue beverage with bottle and cup siller packaging, candy crocus tongue packaging tubes toples and standing pounc window ziplock sealer, and coconut Tongue powder packaging paper standing Pounc.

Efforts to Improve Community Economy Through Utilization of Young Coconut Waste Into Cocofiber and Cocopeat on the Beach Sunur Pariaman Indonesia

This paper aims to describe the utilization of young coconut waste into coco fiber and coco peat on Sunur Beach Pariaman, Indonesia. This training activity is based on the lack of optimal waste management at Sunur Pariaman Beach. Even though it has good enough facilities, the awareness of keeping a clean environment has not been implemented well by the community. This causes visitors to feel uncomfortable with the trash everywhere and smashes the beautiful view of Sunur Beach. Young coconut waste is the most common waste found. The lack of trash cans and information boards that can educate people about clean living is one of the problems that must be resolved. Likewise, there is a lack of awareness of society's charms. The problems experienced by the community will surely hinder the process of developing Sunur Beach as a marine tourism location that is of interest to tourists. Based on this problem, training activities were carried out on the use of young coconut waste to make it economically valuable by turning it into coco fiber and coco peat. This activity seeks to contribute to waste management, especially young coconut waste, and educate the public about clean living by creating information boards and providing rubbish bins by utilizing the potential of local communities by providing training on processing young coconut waste into coco fiber and coco peat, education on clean living, and making information boards on cleaning living education, and throwing rubbish in its place. An active and participatory learning and KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice) model approach is used to implement this program. The impact of this training is increasing public awareness of clean living, being able to utilize young coconut waste into cocopeat and coco fiber, improving families' economy, and supporting the realization of Sapta Pesona.

Evaluation of impact of engaging federations of women groups to improve women's nutrition interventions- before, during and after pregnancy in social and economically backward geographies: Evidence from three eastern Indian States.

Undernutrition-before, during and after pregnancy endangers the health and well-being of the mother and contributes to sub-optimal fetal development and growth. A non-randomized controlled evaluation was undertaken to assess the impact of engaging federations of women's group on coverage of nutrition interventions and on nutrition status of women in the designated poverty pockets of three Indian states-Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. The impact evaluation is based on two rounds of cross-sectional data from 5 resource poor blocks across 3 States, assigning 162 villages to the intervention arm and 151 villages to the control arm. The cross-sectional baseline (2016-17) and endline survey (2021-22) covered a total of 10491 adolescent girls (10-19 years), 4271 pregnant women (15-49 years) and 13521 mothers of children under age two years (15-49 years). Exposure was defined based on participation in the participatory learning and action meetings, and fixed monthly health camps (Adolescent Health Days (AHDs) and Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Days (VHSNDs)). Logistic regression models were applied to establish the association between exposure to programme activities and improvement in coverage of nutrition interventions and outcomes. In the intervention area at endline, 27-38% of women participated in the participatory learning and action meetings organized by women's groups. Pregnant women participating in programme activities were two times more likely to receive an antenatal care visit in the first trimester of pregnancy (Odds ratio: 2.55 95% CI-1.68-3.88), while mothers of children under 2 were 60% more likely to receive 4 ANC visits (Odds ratio: 1.61, 95% CI- 1.30-2.02). Odds of consuming a diversified diet was higher among both pregnant women (Odds ratio: 2.05, 95% CI- 1.41-2.99) and mother of children under 2 years of age (Odds ratio: 1.38, 95% CI- 1.08-1.77) among those participating in programme activities in the intervention arm. Access to commodities for WASH including safe sanitation services (Odds ratio: 1.80, 95% CI- 1.38-2.36) and sanitary pads (Odds ratio: 1.64, 95% CI- 1.20-2.22) was higher among adolescent girls participating in programme activities. Women's groups led participatory learning and action approaches coupled with strengthening of the supply side delivery mechanisms resulted in higher coverage of health and nutrition services. However, we found that frequency of participation was low and there was limited impact on the nutritional outcomes. Therefore, higher frequency of participation in programme activities is recommended to modify behaviour and achieve quick gains in nutritional outcomes.

Motivation and Development of Cosmetology Skills for Female Prisoners of Class II B Bengkulu Detention Center by Utilizing Domestic Production Technology

Criminals or convicts placed in detention centers or prisons with the provisions of the law actually aim to provide a deterrent effect and provide religious understanding so that after the detention period is over they can behave better and not make the same mistakes. However, many of them, after leaving detention, no longer have the trust of the local community where they come from, so that it is difficult for these ex-convicts to get jobs and do not have the skills to become entrepreneurs. This is what makes ex-convicts lose confidence and even repeat the same mistakes. The method of delivering learning material uses a participatory learning approach by providing material and implementing practices. The implementation of this community service activity was carried out at the Bengkulu IIB Prison which was attended by 30 convicts. The Community Service Implementation Team has provided motivation and tips for success for prisoners, conducted cosmetology and beauty training based on the use of domestic production technology, and introduced other alternatives for sources of income such as the manufacture and marketing of organic masks intended for women. convicts as provisions in improving their health. skills at the Class IIB Correctional Institution of the Bengkulu Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Therefore, the service team hopes that from this service the prisoners will gain alternative skills in welcoming the prisoner's free period later.

The impact of educational strategies on primary school students’ attitudes towards climate change: A comparison of three European countries

Climate education is becoming a key educational issue of our time. This also brings with it increased demands for educational research in this area. One important question is how climate attitudes are constructed to support students’ willingness to act towards climate change. In this paper, we explore how participatory, holistic and community-based learning approaches influence the construction of climate attitudes in school students from the Czech Republic, Portugal, and the UK (n=473; M=13.49 years). Students’ perceptions of different educational strategies were nearly the same across countries. Girls perceive holistic, values-based teaching more strongly. Of the strategies studied, holistic education has the greatest influence on the formation of climate attitudes (β=0.34 for climate change beliefs, β=0.32 for climate change intentions), and community-based teaching has a partial influence (β=0.13 for climate change intentions). It is thus the use of holistic and community-based educational approaches that is key to the successful implementation of climate education.

Partial climatic risk screening, adaptation and livelihoods in a coastal urban area in Ghana

Coastal urban areas worldwide are increasingly becoming convergence points for climatic hazards, demographic shifts, and spatial development. However, the presence of societal demands that impact both livelihoods and urban planning in response to climatic hazards undermines the potential positive outcomes. This research, conducted in a coastal urban area of Ghana's Greater Accra Region, utilized the Community-based Risk Screening Tool – Adaptation and Livelihoods (CRiSTAL) developed by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) to analyze the experiences of climatic hazards and overall livelihoods of the population. The study employed Ghana's Census Sampling Frame for implementation, and Participatory Learning Approaches, to collect data which it identified floods, heavy storms, and heat stress as the most significant hazards. These hazards greatly influenced the population's physical, social, and financial livelihood assets, resulting in losses and damages caused by heavy rains, storms, and subsequent floods. Extreme heat also had a notable impact on human and financial resources. The local population prioritized human mobility and livelihood diversification as important adaptation strategies. The findings have important policy implications, highlighting the need to address barriers and disruptions in resilience-building and sustainability efforts, emphasizing the significance of prioritizing policy investment and considering climate change uncertainties in planning towards minimizing “urban climate policy inhibition” (Urban-CPI). The study also revealed valuable lessons, such as CRiSTAL's ability to bridge the gap between climatic risk and livelihood issues, bringing them closer to communities and enhancing preparedness to adapt to climatic risks and impacts on livelihoods.

Upaya Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPS dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Paikem di Kelas IV SDN 097522 Siantar

This study addresses the issue of low student interest in math learning and aims to enhance their engagement through the implementation of the Participatory Learning and Knowledge Exchange Model (PALKEM) approach. The research focuses on a sample of 15 fifth-grade students, consisting of 7 boys and 8 girls, with the objective of investigating the impact of the PALKEM approach on student learning. The findings reveal a significant increase in student interest during the instructional cycles, with all 15 students (100%) demonstrating heightened engagement. These outcomes suggest that the utilization of the PALKEM approach effectively enhances students' interest in math learning. The results provide promising implications for improving students' motivation and involvement in the subject matter, specifically within the context of the LPS (math) curriculum. Therefore, the PALKEM approach emerges as a potential solution for addressing the issue of low interest in math learning and promoting a more engaging and effective learning environment.

Effects of a large-scale participatory learning and action programme in women’s groups on health, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene: a cluster-randomised controlled trial in Bihar, India

ABSTRACT Evidence from small-scale randomised controlled trials suggests that interventions relying on community involvement through a participatory learning and action (PLA) approach can improve health outcomes in resource-poor settings. However, it is only poorly understood whether PLA-based interventions are effective after scale-up in a real-world setting. In a cluster-randomised controlled trial in Bihar, India, we assessed whether the PLA approach improved health, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene (HNWASH) outcomes in adults and children when implemented state-wide by a government-supported agency. In the intervention, trained female facilitators ran 20 structured participatory meetings about key HNWASH topics in state-supported women’s groups. Unlike the strong results of small-scale trials, in the scaled-up government implemented intervention we do not observe systematic improvements in HNWASH knowledge, attitudes, practices or health outcomes. We discuss aspects of programme implementation that could explain these null effects. Our findings call for caution when promising public health interventions are transformed into large policy programmes.

Read Aloud Melalui Cerita Rakyat Dari Pendalungan

Instilling moral values ​​through read aloud has the potential to be developed. This type of training serves to instill moral values ​​contained in the culture of pendalungan and provide knowledge about read aloud. Especially if the knowledge of the culture of pendalungan can be introduced directly to children. Mitra is the Almuna Creative community owned by Dania Puspitasari. The proposing team intends to collaborate to carry out read aloud training through folklore from Pendalungan. As for what partners are currently facing are: (a) partner's lack of understanding about guidance to parents in choosing the right books for children, (b) partner's lack of understanding about the importance of reading aloud through folklore from pendalungan, and (c) partner's lack of understanding about the folklore of pendalungan. Thus, based on the observations and presentations that have been described, the problems and solutions offered by the PKM Team can be obtained in the read aloud training activities through folklore from Pendalungan. The activities carried out in this PKM are given through the lecture method with a participatory learning approach with an emphasis on the principle of learning by doing. By understanding the presentation of this PKM activity, participants can be moved in conveying messages through folklore from Pendalungan. The PKM team gave presentations on: (a) guidance to parents in choosing the right books for children, (b) the importance of reading aloud through folklore from pendalungan, and (c) folklore from pendalungan. The results obtained during the activity included: a) PKM participants had guidelines in choosing the right books for children, (b) PKM participants had the ability to convey messages through reading aloud strategies based on fun folklore from pendalungan, (c) PKM participants had understanding of folklore from pendalungan as a strategy for instilling moral values.

Pre-Service Teachers’ Academic Identity and their Lived Experiences in Remote Learning: The New Normal in Curriculum Practice

The Ministry of Tertiary Institutions of South Africa charged post-secondary institutions to implement measures to achieve the government’s social distancing policy. Institutions shifted to remote learning to sustain their core business of teaching and learning. However, there were concerns with the implementation of these measures. For instance, pre-service teachers were seen as ill-equipped and poorly supported during remote learning. This paper aims to contextualise the identity of pre-service economic and management science teachers and reflect on their experiences of curriculum practice during remote learning. Architecture theory was used as the main lens for this study. Furthermore, the goal is to reflect on their adaptation to remote learning as the new normal. Participants’ experiences and factors that affected them are discussed as data collected using the critical participatory action learning and action research (CPALAR) approach as a form of critical education science. Critical discourse analysis was used to arrive at the following broad findings: firstly, higher learning institutions are obligated to create practical learning experiences for pre-service teachers. Secondly, participants were directly affected academically, socially, and psychologically. This paper concludes with the recommendation that hybrid learning as the new normal is the future of teaching and learning and should be embraced. ANALISIS BIBLIOMETRIK PUBLISH OR PERISH (POP) KEPADA GURU MAN 3 KULONPROGO YOGYAKARTA

This Community Service Activity was designed to improve teachers’ scientific writing ability as their compulsory professional skills which has been stated in the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Act number 16 of 2009 concerning Teacher Function and Credit Scores. Publishing scientific article becomes one of the required elements and sub-elements of teacher activities to be assessed as credit scores. Hence, the teachers needed the training to write scientific papers as a requirement for their promotion. The training applied a Participatory Learning approach that engaged lecture, practice, and Evaluation. The participants of the training were 30 teachers of MAN 3 Kulonprogo. They were given a lesson to collect articles as references using the bibliometric application Publish or Perish (POP). The evaluation of this Community Service Activity showed that the knowledge value after the training was 2.221 points higher than before training. The paired T-Test sample test worth 0.048 implied that this PKM activity has influenced MAN 3 Kulonprogo Yogyakarta teachers’ skills, especially in improving the teachers’ ability in finding recommended articles.

SCALING UP POSITIVE PARENTING PRACTICES IN UGANDA: RESEARCH EVIDENCE FROM AN INTEGRATED COMMUNITY-LED INITIATIVE FOR REDUCING VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN IN LIRA DISTRICT, NORTHERN UGANDA

Community-based action research is increasingly gaining traction in development work, partly because of its benefits in contextualizing societal problems and “handing over the stick” to the communities; that is, researchers listen, question, and learn as the experts (the community members) identify their problems and define the change they desire. This research approach, therefore, empowers communities and is a shift from traditional research where the researcher presupposes that deductions about a phenomenon are to be made outside the natural environment. This research paper documents the use of participatory learning and action approaches in designing, implementing, and monitoring interventions to prevent violence against children in post-conflict northern Uganda, a region that suffered through the Lord’s Resistance insurgency from 1987 to 2006.

Developing a community facilitator-led participatory learning and action women's group intervention to improve infant feeding, care and dental hygiene practices in South Asian infants: NEON programme.

The Nurture Early for Optimal Nutrition (NEON) study is a multiphase project that aims to optimize feeding, care and dental hygiene practices in South Asian children <2 years in East London, United Kingdom. The multiphase project uses a participatory learning and action (PLA) approach facilitated by a multilingual community facilitator. In this paper, we elaborate on the process and results of the Intervention Development Phase in the context of the wider NEON programme. Qualitative community-based participatory intervention codevelopment and adaptation. Community centres in East London and online (Zoom) meetings and workshops. In total, 32 participants registered to participate in the Intervention Development Phase. Four Intervention Development workshops were held, attended by 25, 17, 20and 20 participants, respectively. Collaboratively, a culturally sensitive NEON intervention package was developed consisting of (1) PLA group facilitator manual, (2) picture cards detailing recommended and nonrecommended feeding, care and dental hygiene practices with facilitators/barriers to uptake as well as solutions to address these, (3) healthy infant cultural recipes, (4) participatory Community Asset Maps and(5) list of resources and services supporting infant feeding, care and dental hygiene practices. The Intervention Development Phase of the NEON programme demonstrates the value of a collaborative approach between researchers, community facilitators and the target population when developing public health interventions. We recommend that interventions to promote infant feeding, care and dental hygiene practices should be codeveloped with communities. Recognizing and taking into account both social and cultural norms may be of particular value for infants from ethnically diverse communities to develop interventions that are both effective in and accepted by these communities. Considerable efforts were placed on Patient/Participant and Public Involvement and Engagement. Five community facilitators were identified, each of which represented one ethnic/language group: (i) Bangladeshi/Bengali and Sylheti, (ii) Pakistani/Urdu, (iii) Indian/Gujrati, (iv) Indian/Punjabi and(v) Sri Lankan/Tamil. The community facilitators were engaged in every step of the study, from the initial drafting of the protocol and study design to the Intervention Development and refinement of the NEON toolkit, as well as the publication and dissemination of the study findings. More specifically, their role in the Intervention Development Phase of the NEON programme was to: 1. Support the development of the study protocol, information sheets and ethics application. 2. Ensure any documents intended for community members are clear, appropriate and sensitively worded. 3. Develop strategies to troubleshoot any logistical challenges of project delivery, for example, recruitment shortfalls. 4. Contribute to the writing of academic papers, in particular reviewing and revising drafts. 5. Develop plain language summaries and assist in dissemination activities, for example, updates on relevant websites. 6. Contribute to the development of the NEON intervention toolkit and recruitment of the community members. 7. Attend and contribute to Intervention Development workshops, ensuring the participant's voices were the focus of the discussion and workshop outcomes.

Thirty years of water management research for rice in sub-Saharan Africa: Achievement and perspectives

Rice is one of the major staple foods in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and is mainly grown in three environments: rainfed upland and rainfed and irrigated lowlands. In all rice-growing environments, the yield gap (the difference between the potential yield in irrigated lowland or water-limited yield in rainfed lowland and upland and the actual yield obtained by farmers) is largely due to a wide range of constraints including water-related issues. This paper aims to review water management research for rice cultivation in SSA. Major water-related constraints to rice production include drought, flooding, iron toxicity, and soil salinity. A wide range of technologies has been tested by Africa Rice Center (AfricaRice) and its partners for their potential to address some of the water-related challenges across SSA. In the irrigated lowlands, the system of rice intensification and alternate wetting and drying significantly reduced water use, while the pre-conditions to maintain grain yield and quality compared to continuous flooding were identified. Salinity problems caused by the standing water layer could be addressed by flushing and leaching. In the rainfed lowlands, water control structures, Sawah rice production system, and the Smart-Valleys approach for land and water development improved water availability and grain yield compared to traditional water management practices. In the rainfed uplands, supplemental irrigation, mulching, and conservation agriculture mitigated the effects of drought on rice yield. The Participatory Learning and Action Research (PLAR) approach was developed to work with and educate communities to help them implement improved water management technologies. Most of the research assessed a few indicators such as rice yield, water use, water productivity at the field level. There has been limited research on the cost-benefit of water management technologies, enabling conditions and business models for their large-scale adoption, as well as their impact on farmers’ livelihoods, particularly on women and youth. Besides, limited research has been conducted on water management design for crop diversification, landscape-level water management, and iron toxicity mitigation, particularly in lowlands. Filling these research gaps could contribute to sustainable water resources management and sustainable intensification of rice-based systems in SSA. • Research on water management for rice cultivation in sub-Saharan Africa was reviewed. • The majority of studies aimed at improving water control in rainfed lowlands. • The studies focused mostly on improving rice yield and water productivity. • Less attention was given to cost-benefits and impact of water control technologies. • Water management was mostly studied at the field- rather than at landscape-level.

Understanding Community Participation in Rural Health Care: A Participatory Learning and Action Approach.

However, due to various reasons, we are yet to achieve complete integration of this component into the health system functioning in India. The objective of our study was to do a formative assessment of community participation in a rural healthcare setting by adopting participatory learning action (PLA). technique. The study participants included frontline health workers and members from local governing institutions of rural areas. The study design is qualitative in nature with a participatory approach. A number of three PLA techniques have been used as a part of this study to recognize available resources for community participation, address its barriers and facilitators, and finally devise a time-line-based action plan. Based on the this, a conceptual framework for community participation pertaining to the rural healthcare system has been developed. This study highlights the importance of understanding the psychosocial aspects of community participation among various stakeholders involved in rural health care. Lessons learned from this PLA study will be helpful in the integration of community-based participatory approach within grassroot level healthcare planning and service delivery.

Pengaruh Participatory Learning Approach (PLA) terhadap Pengetahuan dan Kesadaran Ibu dalam Pencegahan Stunting

A mother in the family has an important in fulfilling family nutrition to prevent stunting. Various methods and counseling to mothers to increase knowledge have been widely given, but most are still traditional or one-way models. The learning approach that is currently being developed is a learning model that involves an active role or maximum participation so that the learning target is more involved. Participatory Learning Approach PLA) is a method that is believed not only to increase knowledge but also increase awareness about learning materials to a deeper extent. Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, discussions and presentations, it is hoped that there will be an increase in knowledge and awareness of mothers will be better. This study aims to identify the influence of participatory learning approach techniques in increasing maternal awareness and knowledge in stunting prevention. The research was conducted using the Quasi Experimental method, with the Pre And Post Test With Control Group Design model. Data collection was carried out through a 3S (Sehari Sadar Stunting) learning program to 50 mothers divided into two groups. The intervention group was given a one-day learning program with a Participatory Learning Approach approach, namely a combination of lectures, demonstrations, discussions and presentations.While the control group was given a joint program but with a traditional learning model. The two groups then conducted a pre and post test looking for differences in scores through the paired t test. The results of the study obtained by the implementation of PLA were able to increase maternal knowledge about stunting with the results of paired t tests in pre-post tests increased significantly p 0.001 (p > 0.005). This method is also able to increase maternal awareness in stunting prevention measures through pregnancy screening, exclusive breastfeeding, supplemental feeding and food processing varyingly. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the Participatory Learning Approach method is able to increase the understanding and awareness of mothers and mothers-to-be in stunting prevention measures.
