본 연구의 목적은 몽골 대학생의 봉사활동 참여도와 세계시민의식 간의 관계에 있어사회적 자기효능감의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 있다. 연구대상은 몽골 올란바토르에 소재한A-NGO 봉사자 1-4학년 대학생 144명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 통해기술통계와 상관관계 및 3단계 모형의 위계적 회귀분석으로 통계처리하였다. 주요 분석결과에 따르면, 몽골 대학생의 봉사활동 참여도가 지식, 스킬, 태도, 실천의지 등 세계시민의식의 모든 하위요인에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치며, 사회적 자기효능감의 매개효과가 유의한 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 연구의 통제변인과 관련하여 살펴보면, 여학생에 비해 남학생이 지식, 스킬이 높았으며 부모와의 대화가 모든 하위요인에 유의한영향을 미치며 해외방문 경험은 지식과 태도에 유의한 영향력을 보인 것으로 나타났다.The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effects of social self-efficacy in the relationship between volunteer activity participation and global citizenship in Mongolian university students. The subjects for this study were 144 university students from A-NGO located in Ulaanbaatar city. The collected survey data were analyzed by way of frequency, percentage, mean, standart deviation, correlation and tree-stage hierarchical regression using SPSS 22.0. The major results of this study are as follows. First, the Mongolian students’ volunteer activity participation had significant static effect on all sub-factors of global citizenship. Second, the Mongolian students’ social self-efficacy had a significant positive effect on all sub-factors of global citizenship. Third, the Mongolian students’ volunteer activity participation had a significant positive effect on social self-efficacy. Fourth, it was found that social self-efficacy played significant partial mediating effects in the relationship in the Mongolian students’ volunteer activity participation affected their global citizenship. Fifth, in relation to the control variable of the study, male students had higher knowledge and skills than female students, and conversation with parents had a significant effect on all sub-factors. In addition, Mongolian university students experience of overseas visits was found to affect knowledge and attitude. Based on these findings, this study suggests that the government, national policy and university’s should try to find ways to provide opportunities for volunteering and self-efficacy programs to educate Mongolian global citizenship.
