The results of the study are as follows. First, statistically significant results were shown in all variables of basal physical strength (upper extremity, lower extremity muscle strength, agility (dynamic) balance, upper extremity flexibility, lower extremity flexibility, cardiorespiratory endurance) (p.05). Second, there were no statistically significant differences in orientation, comprehension and judgment in cognitive function, but statistically significant results in memory, attention and calculation, and language function (p.05). Through these results, it can be seen that participation in a welfare center exercise program operated by local governments for 24 weeks has a positive effect on basic physical strength and cognitive function.
