Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder with Homoeopathic Approach

Attention deficit disorder is a common neurodevelopmental disorder. It is usually observed as a mental disorder affecting most of the children in these days. Children with ADHD may find difficulty in controlling their impulsive behavior, sustaining attention, hyperactive. This ADHD may also continue in adulthood. Children usually develop low self-esteem, Troublesome in maintenance of relationships, poor performance in academics, mingling with other children. Usage of homoeopathic medicines on treating ADHD will be quite helpful and also it should be made as an objective to guide that necessity of orientation classes for parents from the very beginning, so that we can overcome or detect the condition earlier which gives us a best outcome. Problematika Pembelajaran Daring di Sekolah Dasar

The purpose of this research is to find out the problems of online learning in elementary schools faced by educators, students and parents. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The data source informants in the study consisted of teachers, students and three parents of class III elementary schools in one of the Legok Districts, Tangerang Regency. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. All interview data were analyzed by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and ending with conclusions. The results of this study state that there are problems faced by teachers, students and parents during online learning, such as low mastery of using technology, low enthusiasm of students in participating in learning, limitations in owning technological tools, difficulty in allocating time to accompany children to study at home because parents are busy working. In conclusion, online learning may be an alternative learning during the Covid 19 pandemic, but it cannot completely replace the effectiveness of face-to-face learning with all the shortcomings and obstacles experienced in online learning.

Personal guidance and counseling refers to the efforts given by the counselor to counseling so that the counseling can understand, accept, direct himself to be an optimal person. To deal with this problem, it is necessary to collaborate between class teachers and parents to provide guidance and counseling. Guidance. Purpose of Counseling Guidance. the purpose of guidance and counseling services is to try to help counselees to: a. Planning study completion activities, career development in the future, b. Develop all its potential and strengths, c. Adjusting to the educational environment, community environment and work environment, d. Overcoming obstacles and difficulties encountered in study, adjustment to the educational environment, society, and work environment.

FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI RENDAHNYA KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN PADA SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI SAKTEO KECAMATAN MOLLO TENGAH KABUPATEN TTS

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors causing the low ability of students to read at SD Negeri Sakteo.This type of research is qualitative research.It is a research procedure that produces data and is descriptive in the form of written or spoken words and observable behavior. The research subjects were 5 students of class V (five), 1 class teacher, 1 school principal and 5 parents of class V students. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation.The results of this study indicate that there are two factors that affect the low reading ability of fifth grade students at SD Negeri Sakteo, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are caused by students' low interest in reading and students' lack of reading habits.External factors come from a less supportive school environment, limited books/reading materials, less optimal teacher role, and less supportive family environment.

Education is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and habits by a group of people, which are transmitted from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. Training is often carried out under the guidance of another person, but self-taught is also possible. This research method is qualitative research with a descriptive-analytic case study research design. Analytical descriptive according to Cresswell (2015), descriptive-analytical information compiled by researchers at research locations such as observations, interview results, shooting results, document analysis, and field notes, which were compiled by researchers at research locations, not expressed in forms and pictures. The results of this study are strategies that can overcome these problems, namely: 1) Multipurpose funds (teacher welfare) are not channeled, 2) Funds entrusted by parents of class VI students, 3) Personal funds to school principals, and 4) Private funds to treasurers

Teachers’ representations of the ‘typical’ parent

In this paper we present the findings of a study that investigates Greek-Cypriot teachers’ visual representations of parents typically encountered in the course of teachers’ daily professional practice. The study aims to identify which parents typically communicate with the school, to explore teachers-parents relationship as well as the ways in which parents’ representations relate to the various demographic sub-groups of families encountered in Greek-Cypriot schools. After we briefly describe the social and educational context in which the study was implemented, we present the methodology that we followed, and discuss how drawings by 72 Greek-Cypriot preand in-service teachers of different school levels and of different teaching experiences represent the ‘typical’ parent. This methodological approach was used to gather visual data, alternatively to traditional interviews or observations. We then describe how the drawings and their accompanied text were analysed. The analysis of the data indicates that teachers typically encounter mothers rather than fathers; parents of the local ethnic-cultural dominant group (Greek-Cypriots), and rarely parents from other ethnic-cultural groups; middle class parents rather than working class parents; and higher educated rather than lower educated parents. The analysis of the data also points out that teachers are highly concerned with parents’ image of them. We conclude by discussing how teachers’ images seem to reflect the broader local parent and family profile and how these data could potentially enhance understanding of school-family relationships, thus allowing for suggestions about the ways in which teachers could be supported for collaborating with all families of the children they teach.

Developing the Skills of Mentally Retarded Children Through Career Guidance

One of the problems faced by mentally retarded children at SKH Negeri 01 Cilegon City is the difficulty in seeking further education guarantees for the development of their abilities or independence as career achievements and talents for themselves, even though every child has their potential. The method used is descriptive qualitative to present a detailed description of the social situation or clarify a phenomenon under study. Data was collected using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted in July-October 2022 with 3 respondents consisting of 3 children, namely IS, SZ, QA, and informants consisting of 3 people, namely class teachers, school principals, and parents of mentally retarded children. The conclusions of this study: 1) Planning for career guidance for mentally retarded children at SKH Cilegon City is in accordance with existing procedures and services. 2) The implementation of career guidance for mentally retarded children at SKH Cilegon City is carried out according to a predetermined time with several activities, namely music, singing, swimming, cooking, batik and others. 3) Evaluation at SKH Cilegon City, namely by looking at the child’s development, ability, and independence, and always paying attention to the results of all career guidance programs. 4) Supporting factors, namely: from educators, students and infrastructure.
 
 
 
 

The coverage of indicators of sensitive and specific intervention programs and prevalence of stunting under-five children: A cross-sectional study in Aceh Province, Indonesia.

Background: The prevalence of stunting children under-five in Aceh Province is still high due to multiple factors, including the sub-optimal coverage of intervention programs. Aim: This study aimed at finding out the correlation between the coverage of indicators of sensitive and specific intervention programs with prevalence of stunting in Aceh. Methods: A cross-sectional design analyzed secondary data from the Indonesia nutritional status survey and program coverage data in 13 regencies/cities in Aceh Province. The dependent variable was the prevalence of stunting. Meanwhile, the independent variable covered 20 sensitive and specific intervention program indicators. We apply STATA 16 to analyze the correlation between sensitive and specific coverage and stunting prevalence. Results: The coverage of indicators of pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency (CED) receiving supplementary feeding, young children with diarrhea receiving zinc supplementation, parents taking parenting classes, and participation in the health insurance program had a significant correlation with prevalence stunting in Aceh (r = -0.57; r = -0.50; r = -0.65; and r = -0.60). Conclusion: Intervention measures to avert childhood stunting in Aceh should include strengthening supplementary feeding programs for mothers and toddlers, supplementation to prevent toddler diarrhea, and counseling parents on parenting and health insurance.

Does cram school participation bring about negative emotions? Causal inference based on Chinese Education Panel Survey (CEPS) data

This study focuses on the causal relationship between teenagers’ participation in cram schools and their emotional well-being. Our analysis is based on Chinese Education Panel Survey data (CEPS 2013–2015). We construct instrumental variables and introduce lagged variables to mitigate possible endogeneity problems. The major findings are as follows. First, the participation of socioeconomically disadvantaged teenagers in cram schools significantly exacerbates their negative emotions. Teenagers of advantaged family socioeconomic status (SES) show better ability in emotion regulation and in avoiding specific negative emotions. Second, we explore class heterogeneity in emotion regulation. Specifically, we propose a preliminary theoretical framework based on a typology of parenting styles. We conjecture that parents of different social classes may respond differently to their children's negative emotions. And for children who attend cram schools, there might be intergroup disparities in their own emotion-regulation ability by their class origins. Empirically, we carry out a counterfactual analysis to further illustrate the association between class difference in emotion regulation and that in the depressive effect of cram school participation, providing supporting evidence for our theoretical framework. In sum, our study is helpful to further our understanding of the implications of emotional health inequality which may derive from the “shadow education” system.

A step to the left? Gender ideologies and political party identification in Germany

Abstract After decades in which gender relations, as anchored in work-family policies and egalitarian gender ideologies, moved towards greater equality, the status quo is currently being challenged. Gender-ambivalent ideologies have spread in both the political and private realms. It is unclear how the rise in gender-ambivalence documented in current research relates to party identification. On the one hand, gender ambivalence may represent a variation of post-materialist liberal values corresponding with support for centre-left parties in Germany. On the other, ambivalence may reflect a modified form of traditionalism and thus, a step to the left among voters leaning towards right-wing and conservative parties. This paper uses the Leitbild Survey 2012 to provide empirical evidence to fill this research gap. In line with cross-national research, latent class analyses reveal four main gender ideologies among young Germans: unidimensional ‘egalitarian’ and ‘moderate traditional’, as well as ambivalent, multidimensional ‘secondary earner’, and ‘intensive parenting’. Multinomial regression models show that egalitarian class members identify with centre-left parties while members of the ambivalent, multidimensional secondary earner, and intensive parenting classes as well as those of the moderate traditional class identify more strongly with centre-right parties. In light of the broader literature on gender ideology change, which documents a steep decline in traditionalism, our cross-sectional findings may be interpreted as capturing a step to the left among voters leaning towards right-wing and conservative parties in Germany, who now accept new mothers combining care-giving and part-time-work.

The Relationship of the Role of Parents in Dental and Oral Hygiene in Class IV-VI Students of SDN Nogosari 2 in Jember Agroindustry Area

Children's dental and oral hygiene is the concern and concern of parents, besides that parental knowledge affects their attitudes and actions in maintaining children's dental and oral hygiene. School-age children tend to experience dental health problems because at that age children prefer to snack on cariogenic foods and drinks. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the role of parents in dental and oral hygiene in grade IV-VI students of SDN Nogosari 2 in the Jember Agroindustry area. Methods: This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. Results: There is a significant relationship between the role of parents on the dental and oral hygiene of grade IV-VI children at SDN Nogosari 2, Rambipuji District, Jember Regency. Coclusion: The results of the study found that there was a relationship between the role of parents in class VI, the majority of whom worked as farm laborers at SDN Nogosari 02, on dental and oral hygiene. The role of good parents does not determine good dental and oral hygiene, while the role of adequate parents can form good dental and oral hygiene of children.

Hubungan Keterlibatan Orang Tua dan Motivasi Membaca dengan Pemahaman Bacaan pada Anak Usia Pembaca Awal

Literacy skills are important to develop especially in early reading age children. Based on a literature review, it is known that there is a relationship between parental involvement and reading motivation on reading comprehension in early reading children. The research was conducted on students and guardian parents of class II SDI Raudlatul Jannah with an age range of 7-8 years. Subjects from the target population of this study were determined based on purposive sampling technique. Based on the research results, the relationship between parental involvement and motivation to read with reading comprehension is not significant. The research results may be influenced by the learning methods in schools and the number of research samples.

INTERNALISASI NILAI SOPAN SANTUN MELALUI PELAJARAN PKN DI MIS BIDAYATUL HIDAYAH

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to photograph the guidance of manners ethics in students in civics learning in class V MIS Bidayatul Hidayah, since the teacher designed the learning, carried out PPKn learning, evaluated the manners behavior of students, and the response of students to the guidance of manners carried out by teachers through PPKn learning. in-depth interviews and documentation (artipak). The object of the study is the ongoing civics learning activities. The subjects of the study were class teachers, parents, peers and principals. The data collection instrument is the researcher himself with the help of observation guidelines and interview guidelines. The data is analyzed narratively with in-depth meaning. The conclusions of the research results indicate (1) civics learning designs made by teachers using the 2013 curriculum guidelines. The teacher first analyzes KD and KI first. The RPP used is sourced from a handbook or teacher's guide without a mission analysis of the values and behaviors expected from KD and KI. (2) when learning is carried out the teacher has carried out the guidance of manners behavior. Teachers have been able to motivate learners to behave in good manners; (3) evaluation of the results of the guidance of manners behavior has not been formally programmed, evaluation is still focused on the evaluation of cognitive aspects, (4) students have responded positively and actively to fostering manners behavior.

Policy Solutions: Federal designation for Black K-12 schools

The forces against school integration are relentless. Societal and marketplace decisions create segregated schools even in racially integrated areas in the suburbs. Jonathan E. Collins suggests creating a federal designation for public schools called the Black-serving institution (BSI), similar to historically Black colleges and universities. Schools that serve a majority Black student population would receive incentives that would help the school, students, staff, and the community. The BSI is a strategic initiative for supporting the schools full of Black students that white middle class parents actively work to keep their children from attending.

Strategi Guru dalam Membina Akhlakul Karimah Siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

The aims of this study is to provide an explanation of the teacher's strategy in fostering the morals of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students. This study uses a type of qualitative research with the intention to understand the phenomenon of the things experienced by research subjects in a descriptive way. The research was carried out with the stages of preparation, implementation, and completion. The research subjects were teachers of the Akidah Akhlak subject, students, and parents of class 5A MI Al Fithrah Surabaya. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study revealed that the strategy used by Akidah Akhlak teachers in fostering akhlakul karimah class 5A students through the 8C program at MI Al Fithrah Surabaya. This program is very helpful in building children's character so that akhlakul karimah can be formed through habituation. The teacher's obstacle in implementing this strategy is the difficulty of directly monitoring the development and evaluation of students. Constraints experienced by students, namely the limitations of the learning process directly with the teacher and the lack of support from parents at home. The solution to this obstacle includes actively involving parents in raising awareness, responsibility, and discipline in their children.

This is done by students so that they start themselves not to depend on others with a variety of materials. This type of research is a qualitative researcher with a case study method. The subjects in this study were the parents of class V Purwotomo No.97 Surakarta as many as 12 students to be studied. The data analysis used in this research is an interactive analysis technique using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study indicate that the independence of learning material diversity in Indonesia for fifth grade students at SDN Purwotomo during the online learning period can be implemented, and it can be concluded that students' learning independence is still less independent. In the five indicators of student learning independence, namely not depending on others, having a responsible attitude towards himself, being able to behave on his own initiative, cannot be said to be independent because it is 60.00%, while having learning independence. Confident and able to behave in a disciplined manner are said to be independent because they are already independent. reached 60.00%.

Faktor Penyebab Rendahnya Minat Belajar Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Matematika Kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Nageri 12 Baruh-Bukit

The low interest of students in learning mathematics is a finding/problem that must be done. This study aims to find out what are the factors causing low student interest in learning mathematics in grade VI at SD Negeri 12 Baruh Bukit. This research activity was carried out by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with the type of research analysis case study (case study), the subjects in this study were class teachers, students VI, and parents of students. The key instrument of this research is the researcher herself, but in practice, the researcher uses tools such as cameras, tape recorders, interview guides, and observation guidelines. The technique used is snowball sampling. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that several factors influence students' interest in learning mathematics, that the factors causing low student interest in learning mathematics are as follows: internal student factors can be shown by 1) student attitudes 2) students' assumptions/considering that learning mathematics is scary, difficult learning. Students do not keep up with developments other than that there are many formulas in learning mathematics and as a result, students' math scores vary (low). Factors causing the lack of interest in student learning also come from external factors, namely environmental factors of students, lack of learning facilities, and lack of attention from parents (family).

Involvement of Parents in Online Classes in Croatia During the Pandemic of the Virus Covid-19

The aim of the research is to determine the involvement of parents in online classes of children who attended elementary school and who during the epidemic of the COVID-19 virus followed classes online.The results show that 66.2% of parents were involved in their child's online classes and that, regardless of employment, 34.8% of parents had enough time to help their children. 75.3% of parents stated that they have all the necessary technical conditions for their child to follow online classes. 5.1% of parents stated that they write their children's homework, and 2.2% of parents said that they write their children's exams.82.0% of parents agree with the statement that children spent too much time in front of screens in the last two years. And according to the parents' opinions (85.5%), it is time to return to "normal classes".

PERAN GURU DAN ORANG TUA DALAM LITERASI BAHASA SISWA KELAS II DI SDN 5 DANGER

This study aims to determine the role of teachers and parents in language literacy of grade II students at SDN 5 Danger. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the data analysis model from Milles and Huberman which started from data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the second grade teacher at SDN 5 Danger had a good role in language literacy. This can be seen from literacy planning, literacy implementation, and the results of literacy implementation which have increased, making the teacher's role very important in literacy activities, while parents of class II SDN 5 Danger have also played a good role in relation to language literacy. This can be seen from literacy planning, literacy implementation, and the results of literacy implementation which have increased. This is also evidenced by the contribution of parents starting from making literacy schedules, providing facilities, and accompanying children in literacy activities.
