The Industrial Training Levy (Paper and Paper Products) Order 1974

The Secretary of State after approving proposals submitted by the Paper and Paper Products Industry Training Board for the imposition of a further levy on employers in the paper and paper products industry and in exercise of powers conferred by section 4 of the Industrial Training Act 1964 and now vested in him, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Order:—

The Paper Industry

The paper and paper products industry is made up of a number of diverse industries which make or handle paper and board in their many grades. They range from the suppliers of raw materials through a wide variety of converting operations to the waste paper merchants.

Careers:

The paper and paper products industry covers the production of basic commodities — paper and board — and their conversion into products such as stationery, carbon paper, boxes, bags and wallpaper. Also within the industry are paper merchants and waste paper processing.
