Supervision and registration of marriage is something that is urgent for the sake of being recognized and legislated by the state because it is a very important event. The Indonesian nation has been hit by covid 19 since March 2020 until now it has not ended, this virus is a pandemic category so it is not certain when it will end, spreading throughout the world. The research used the interview method conducted by researchers to Jombang District KUA officers in December 2020 regarding the activities of the KUA Jombang sub-district in the covid 19 pandemic season. The results of this study were the Jombang District Religious Affairs Office still carrying out the task of registering marriage but by using a breakthrough in online registration. according to the specified address, in the supervision of the implementation of the marriage contract council accompanied by Imamuddin in their respective village areas virtually by using video calls and active marriage registration without any rejection of marriage registration. The KUA of Jombang sub-district has also decided to lock down, namely closing the office and imposing WFH (work from home), where work is done from home. This was done in order to anticipate and reduce the spread of the Covid 19 virus because its impact is very dangerous for the safety of life. As the data collected by the Covid 19 cluster in Jombang sub-district in March-June 2020, Jombang sub-district experienced a red zone in the spread of covid 19, so a breakthrough was needed in the form of policies that provided errors and safety for Jombang sub-district residents in terms of administrative services for recording and implementing marriage contracts. This is done based on maqashid sharia, namely hifd an-Nafs, which is to protect life / soul and also in the form of syad ad-dzariah to prevent mafsadah / damage. The existence of the KUA policy of Jombang sub-district without prejudice to the implementation of the Decree of the Minister of Religion number 298 of 2003 concerning supervision and supervision and registration of marriages.

Utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior to determine the intentions to receive the influenza vaccine during COVID-19: A cross-sectional survey of US adults.

Vaccine hesitancy, especially in the setting of an ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and upcoming flu season, may pose a significant burden on US healthcare systems. The objective of this study was to evaluate the intentions of US adults to receive the influenza vaccine this flu season (2020-2021). A cross-sectional, population-based survey study of US adults age 18years and older was distributed in early September 2020. The primary outcome was the intention to receive the flu vaccine assessed with a survey instrument based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. Three-hundred sixty-four adults (59.1% female, 66.5% white), completed the survey. Twenty percent of participants had already received the flu vaccine, 54.3% indicated high probability of getting the flu vaccine this flu season, and 49% would get it at a doctor's office. Concerns regarding adverse effects from the flu vaccine was a major barrier to vaccination and family (58.1%) was the primary influencer in participants' decision to get vaccinated. Participants who indicated that getting the vaccine was beneficial to them and that their doctor thinks they should get the flu vaccine were significantly more likely to have the intent of getting vaccinated. Approximately half of US adults believed that the flu vaccine was beneficial to them and indicated intent to receive the vaccine this flu season. Doctors can help educate patients regarding the limited adverse effects of flu vaccines, and include patients and their families in vaccination discussions - because families are influential in the decision-making process - to increase flu vaccination uptake.

Film Review as an Approach in Teaching and Learning Fundamental of Islam

21st century learning requires lecturers to change from traditional learning to student-focused learning as well as applying critical learning and critical thinking skills. The film approach has been used in the subject Fundamental of Islam (CTU101) which is a compulsory subject for year 1 students of UiTM. This study is to identify the effectiveness of the film approach and the ability of students to integrate understanding related to Fundamental of Islam in film contents. The problem statement states two issues; firstly, learning challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic period and secondly learning challenges for Islamic Studies subjects. This study has selected five films that are included in the CTU101 syllabus, namely, My Name Is Khan, 2012, Laskar Pelangi, Jilbab Traveler, and Joker. This research used quantitative data to hundred CTU101 students and analysed using SPSS 20.0 software. This research has shown all positive reactions and happiness from students. Learning through films, well guided from a lecturer will then be a good approach for Islamic Studies subjects. The findings of the study show that students feel fun and easy to apply the fundamentals of Islam in daily life. Hence, watching movies while studying can alleviate some of the stress in the pandemic season that demands learning online.

Analysis of the Government's Crisis Communication Strategy Discourse to Defend Covid-19

Crisis communication is one of the most important instruments in crisis management. Unfortunately, there is a lot of criticism about how the Indonesian government implemented its crisis communication strategy during the Covid-19 pandemic season. This study aims to uncover the government's crisis communication strategy from the perspective of Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis. Based on the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), researchers study the structure of discourse in texts consisting of macro, superstructure, and micro. There were 6 press releases from President Jokowi, Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto, and Spokesperson dr. Achmad Yurianto was collected using a purposive sampling method to describe the government's crisis communication strategy at the beginning of pre-crisis and crisis. The results show a significant dynamic crisis communication strategy on how the government implemented it in the pre-crisis and crisis phases. In the pre-crisis phase, they were statements from public officials especially in this case coming from President Jokowi and Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto. Both of these statements tend to lead to Deny and Diminish's strategy while still delivering messages in the form of Adjustments and Instructive Information so that the public remains alert and calm. However, in the crisis phase, government communication shifted towards Diminishes' statement, in the view of Justification that the crisis was actually not so terrible and bad. This is the biggest idea that emerged in the statement of President Jokowi and Spokesperson dr. Achmad Yurianto. Broadly speaking, this phase also provides a greater perspective on projections of government policy in the Covid-19 arrangement.

In 2020, indonesia was shocjed by the covid-19 outbreak that originated in Wuhan.Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, educational institutions had to stop their teaching and learnng.This madrasah diniyah Al-Amiriyah is an educational institution with the most students at the Darussalam Islamic boarding school foundation, wich during the covid-19 pandemic season. Teaching and learning activities continud without compromising it�s quality. In this study, the focus of research is on what decision are taken and how they are implemented in learning management. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods in the problem-solving process wich used interviews, observations, and documentatry studied as data colletion techniques and used trigulation that ulitized sources as the validity of the data.

Facing Challenges of Covid-19: The Perspective of China and Ethiopia Educational Institutions

<p>Concerning the fast spread of COVID-19, countries all over the world have closed academic institutions to stop the pandemic. It is now apparent that students and teachers require other options that have to be more versatile, easily accessible, and support the current technologies and conditions to face the unpredictable future. From the review, literature disclosed that universities throughout the globe are establishing and implementing electronics learning platforms as a basic need in academic institutions. This manuscript aimed to assess the status of electronics learning in China and Ethiopian educational institutions to counter the challenges of the closure of schools because of the outbreak of the pandemic. The paper highlights concerning e-learning in the sense of China and Ethiopia, e-learning challenges, and successful experiences. This review paper also suggests educators use e-learning and distance learning as a necessity to advance learning, particularly during this pandemic season.</p>

Value chain management under COVID-19: responses and lessons from grape production in India.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected several economic sectors in India, dragging many to the brink of survival. In particular, the already fragile horticulture industry is now facing a double burden of a weak value chain management system as well as perishability of produce (fresh fruits and vegetables), this pandemic season. Also, the strict enforcement of lockdown has altered both demand and supply factors, which in turn have shocked various linkages in the value chain of fresh fruits and vegetables. So, this paper dissects the value chain management of grapes and its processed products, namely juice, wine, and raisins in Maharashtra, the largest producer of grapes in India. For this, a value chain analysis (VCA) is carried out by computing the degree of value addition to uncover the rupture points caused by the pandemic as well as advocate policy measures to build a resilient system. The value chain analysis shows that post-COVID-19, the degree of value addition, has shot up for the intermediary agents, i.e., pre-harvest contractors, at the expense of the farmers. Using the insights from the VCA results plus the demand and supply shocks, various policy measures are elucidated to strengthen the grape value chain.

SCIENCE MODULE DEVELOPMENT BASED ON SCIENTIFIC APPROACH FOR LIFE ORGANIZATION SUBJECT IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

The 2013 curriculum focuses on active learning by scientific approach. Students are expected to be able to construct an understanding of the subject matter through scientific steps, namely observing, asking questions, gathering information, associating and communicating. This is inseparable from the teaching materials used in the learning process. Based on this, this research was conducted to develop a science module based on a scientific approach on the material of life organization systems for grade 7th junior high school students. This type of research is research and development (R and D) using the Plomp development model which consists of the preliminary research stage, the development or prototyping phase and the assessment phase. The initial investigation stage includes curriculum analysis, problem analysis and learning, and analysis of teaching materials. The development stage includes the design and development of a prototype, and the assessment stage includes practicality and effectiveness testing. However, in conducting research in the current Covid-19 pandemic season, researchers have limited it to the stage of developing prototypes that are validated by experts (expert validity). The research data is primary data obtained from a validity questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. Based on the research that has been done, a valid science module based on a scientific approach has been produced on the material of life organization systems for grade 7th junior high school students with a validity value of 95.6%. Thus, it can be concluded that the science module based on the scientific approach developed by the researcher has very valid criteria.

Modeling of residual chlorine in a drinking water network in times of pandemic of the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)

Due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease there is a need for public water supply of the highest quality. Adequate levels of chlorine allow immediate elimination of harmful bacteria and viruses and provide a protective residual throughout the drinking water distribution network (DWDN). Therefore, a residual chlorine decay model was developed to predict chlorine levels in a real drinking water distribution network. The model allowed determining human exposure to drinking water with a deficit of residual chlorine, considering that it is currently necessary for the population to have clean water to combat coronavirus Covid 19. The chlorine bulk decay rates (kb) and the reaction constant of chlorine with the pipe wall (kw) were experimentally determined. Average kb and kw values of 3.7 d− 1 and 0.066 m d− 1 were obtained, respectively. The values of kb and kw were used in EPANET to simulate the chlorine concentrations in a DWDN. The residual chlorine concentrations simulated by the properly calibrated and validated model were notably close to the actual concentrations measured at different points of the DWDN. The results showed that maintaining a chlorine concentration of 0.87 mg L− 1 in the distribution tank, the residual chlorine values in the nodes complied with the Ecuadorian standard (0.3 mg L− 1); meanwhile, about 45% of the nodes did not comply with what is recommended by the WHO as a mechanism to combat the current pandemic (0.5 mg L− 1). This study demonstrated that residual chlorine modeling is a valuable tool for monitoring water quality in the distribution network, allowing to control residual chlorine levels in this pandemic season.

Teacher’s Perception on Online Teaching method during Covid-19: With Reference to School Level Teachers at Faculty of Education, The Open University of Sri Lanka

The world is facing one of the toughest conditions in the present, dealing with COVID-19. There have been several problems in the education sector during this pandemic season. COVID-19 has resulted in a countrywide lockdown in Sri Lanka. This research is an effort to understand the understanding of online education by respondents, which is the latest form of teaching embraced by schools since the pandemic. For undergraduate teachers in the special needs department, faculty of education, open university, Sri Lanka, the study was carried out using data collected through Google form. The SPSS recorded and analyzed data using factor analysis and descriptive statistics. The study shows that students are satisfied with online classes and get ample teacher help, but they do not assume that conventional classroom teaching would be replaced by online classes. It also finds that due to a lack of proper preparation and growth for doing online classes, teachers face difficulties in conducting online classes. The biggest challenge for online classes is technological and network challenges. To accomplish this aim, teachers and students must periodically take training and improvement programs from schools or government. There is a need to consider the barriers that come in the way of embracing online learning and taking corrective steps to address it.

Surveillance of common respiratory infections during the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrates the preventive efficacy of non-pharmaceutical interventions

ObjectiveThe emergence of a novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, and its subsequent spread outside of Wuhan, China, led to the human society experiencing a pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). While the development of vaccines and pharmaceutical treatments are ongoing, government authorities in China have implemented unprecedented non-pharmaceutical interventions as primary barriers to curb the spread of the deadly SARS-CoV-2 virus. Although the decline of COVID-19 cases coincided with the implementation of such interventions, we searched for evidence to demonstrate the efficacy of these interventions, since artifactual factors, such as the environment, the pathogen itself, and the phases of epidemic, may also alter the patterns of case development. MethodsWe surveyed common viral respiratory infections that have a similar pattern of transmission, tropism, and clinical manifestation, as COVID-19 under a series of non-pharmaceutical interventions during the current pandemic season. We then compared this data with historical data from previous seasons without such interventions. ResultsOur survey showed that the rates of common respiratory infections, such as influenza and respiratory syncytial virus infections, decreased dramatically from 13.7% (95% CI, 10.82–16.58) and 4.64% (95% CI, 2.88–7.64) in previous years to 0.73% (95% CI, 0.02–1.44) and 0.0%, respectively, in the current season. ConclusionsOur surveillance provides compelling evidence that non-pharmaceutical interventions are cost-effective ways to curb the spread of contagious agents, and may represent the only practical approach to limit the evolving epidemic until specific vaccines and pharmaceutical treatments are available.

SARIMA-modelled greater severity and mortality during the 2010/11 post-pandemic influenza season compared to the 2009 H1N1 pandemic in English hospitals

ObjectiveThe COVID-19 pandemic demonstrates the need for understanding pathways to healthcare demand, morbidity, and mortality of pandemic patients. We estimate H1N1 (1) hospitalization rates, (2) severity rates (length of stay, ventilation, pneumonia, and death) of those hospitalized, (3) mortality rates, and (4) time lags between infections and hospitalizations during the pandemic (June 2009 to March 2010) and post-pandemic influenza season (November 2010 to February 2011) in England. MethodsEstimates of H1N1 infections from a dynamic transmission model are combined with hospitalizations and severity using time series econometric analyses of administrative patient-level hospital data. ResultsHospitalization rates were 34% higher and severity rates of those hospitalized were 20%–90% higher in the post-pandemic period than the pandemic. Adults (45–64-years-old) had the highest ventilation and pneumonia hospitalization rates. Hospitalizations did not lag infection during the pandemic for the young (<24-years-old) but lagged by one or more weeks for all ages in the post-pandemic period. DiscussionThe post-pandemic flu season exhibited heightened H1N1 severity, long after the pandemic was declared over. Policymakers should remain vigilant even after pandemics seem to have subsided. Analysis of administrative hospital data and epidemiological modelling estimates can provide valuable insights to inform responses to COVID-19 and future influenza and other disease pandemics.

The research objective was to determine whether work from home during a pandemic was an effective solution?. The research method is carried out with a qualitative approach. The results showed that work from home is one of the most ideal work methods during this pandemic season, because it can reduce employee exposure to the virus in the workplace or office.

Relationship between Imagery Use and Imagery Ability Towards Team Cohesion among Masum Athletes

Positive relationship has been determined between imagery use and team cohesion based on individual and team level perspectives from previous studies. However, not many investigated the combination of imagery use and imagery ability on team cohesion from an individual nor from the team perspective especially during the covid-19 pandemic season. Hence, this study investigates the relationship between imagery use and imagery ability on team cohesion among MASUM student athletes. A total of 215 MASUM student athletes from various sports participated in the study. A series of questionnaires were completed which are Group Environment Questionnaire, Sport Imagery Questionnaire-Team Sport and Sport Imagery Ability Questionnaire. Multiple regression analysis revealed that motivation general-mastery imagery, motivation general-arousal imagery, motivational specific imagery, skill imagery ability and goal imagery ability were significantly correlated to the dimensions of team cohesion. About 63% of team cohesion is explained by the imagery use dimensions. These dimensions are individual attraction- task team cohesion (39% of the variable), group integration- social team cohesion with 35% and group integration-task with 42%. The finding recommends cognitive and motivational elements from imagery use to be highlighted on team sports to promote athlete’s team cohesion.

This study aims to describe the creativity of teachers in an effort to increase student learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic season at MI Ma'arif NU Karangasem Purbalingga. This research uses a qualitative approach, case study method. Data collection techniques that researchers use are interviews and observation. Based on the results of research at MI Ma'arif NU Karangasem Purbalingga, teacher creativity in increasing student learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic season, including: 1) Teacher creativity in paying attention to students; 2) Teacher creativity in choosing and using appropriate learning methods. 3) Teacher creativity in selecting and using learning media; 4) the creativity of teachers in developing learning resources; 5) The creativity of teachers in conducting assessments; and 6) The creativity of teachers in appreciating and utilizing student work.

Problematika Akad Nikah Via Daring dan Penyelenggaraan Walimah Selama Masa Pandemi Covid-19

The implementation of marriages during the Covid-19 pandemic was hampered, so that there were adjustments in the marriage ceremony, in this case the marriage contract and the holding of a walimah so that it could be held. The development of increasingly sophisticated technology is the intermediary. One of them is to do a marriage contract online through a video call application. The purpose of this research is to study and analyze the validity of the implementation of online marriage contracts and the holding of walimah during the pandemic, so that a concrete solution must be found. The research method is normative legal research, with a statutory approach, conceptual approach and case approach. The results of the study show that online or online marriage contracts using internet-based video call applications cannot be permitted, this is due to the physical obligation of ittihad majelis (unified assemblies). Postponement of holding the walimah during the Covid-19 pandemic in order to avoid crowds of people, by paying attention to the principles of fiqh. The solution is for the marriage contract in the covid-19 pandemic season, which is to carry out the marriage contract in the way that the prospective groom is represented in the marriage contract process, while holding the walimah distributing food to neighbors and those in need.

AbstractThis article demonstrates how missional churches have emphasized accompaniment as missiological foundation in the COVID‐19 pandemic season. Employing ethnographical method, interviews, and virtual church visits as the primary approach, the paper explores how NextGen Church as the embodiment of Christ’s love has moved communities to solidarity and unity in the middle of global suffering. It concludes that God is on the mission of love and that the pandemic has provided an opportunity for the church to enhance its participation in missio Dei by epitomizing Christ’s love.

Challenging times call for heroic pharmacists

October is American Pharmacists Month, a time to recognize pharmacists’ contributions to patient care and to their communities. With the COVID-19 pandemic persisting and influenza season quickly approaching, 2020 has been a year that has required each of us to contribute more than usual, both professionally and personally. During times of health care crises such as these, it is expected that pharmacists will be asked to work longer and harder. But in 2020, we have done so much more than that. This month's Pharmacy Today cover story (page 26) tells the amazing stories of pharmacy heroes. Laura Broughton, PharmD, describes her efforts leading one of the first pharmacist-run drive-through COVID-19 testing sites in Kentucky as the best thing about her pandemic experience. She hopes that one day her daughter will know that when faced with challenges, Broughton, “didn’t just walk toward the fire, but she blazed the trail.” Washington, DC pharmacist Anthony Ramdass is making a difference with a patient-centered approach to care, modeled on his father's pharmacy practice that he witnessed growing up in rural British Guiana. Tom DePietro, PharmD, owner of DePietro's Pharmacy in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, helped connect with patients in a positive way during the pandemic by creating a patient newsletter, hosting special events in the pharmacy, and so much more.
