Parents Perceptions on School Readiness: Descriptive Study

The purpose of this study is to explore the parents’ perceptions on Children’s School Readiness. The open-ended question was administered to 116 parents in Padang, Padang Panjang, Bukittinggi, and Sawahlunto, West Sumatera. Content analyses were used to categorize all the response from participants. Overall this study found that 84% participants’ think that school readiness are very important for children to enter elementary school, 15% said that it’s important, and 1% quite important. Most of the reasons are because school readiness helps children to be success in elementary school. Looking more closely about their perception on school readiness, participants think that school readiness is related to cognitive ability (27%), social skill (17%), emotional competence (14%), sufficient age (11%), physical development (11%). Another response is related to financial readiness and motivation. This finding indicated that many parents considered that cognitive ability such reading skill as one of significant factor for children to enter elementary school.

Effectiveness of Tornado Physics Enrichment Book to Increase Science Literacy of High School Students

Scientific literacy is a need and learning goal in the industrial era 4.0. Indonesia's low scientific literacy is an urgent problem. There are many ways that can be used in learning to hone scientific literacy, including choosing sources and teaching materials that are integrated with natural disaster environmental. In this research, scientific literacy was sharpened in physics learning through the use of a knowledge enrichment book entitled Tornado. In this enrichment book, the discussion of tornadoes is presented from a physics perspective including the concepts of energy, heat, fluid dynamics and global warming. The aim of this research is to increase students' scientific literacy by using physics enrichment books on the theme of the tornado disaster. This research uses an experimental research method in the form of a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of the trial of 60 students from SMAN 13 Padang and SMAN 2 Padang Panjang showed that the use of enrichment books was able to increase students' scientific literacy, with an average pretest scientific literacy of 46 and an average posttest of 87, and an N-gain of 0.76. These results indicate that the use of tornado physics enrichment books is effective in increasing students' scientific literacy.

Faktor Penyebab Sibling Rivalry pada Anak Usia Dini di Kelurahan Tanah Pak Lambik Kota Padang Panjang

Sibling rivalry is a problem that often occurs in early childhood. Sibling rivalry will give rise to jealousy, conflict and disputes. The focus of the research is to determine the factors that cause sibling rivalry in early childhood in Tanah Pak Lambik Village, Padang Panjang City in children aged 2-6 years. This research is descriptive qualitative field research. This research uses observation and interview data collection techniques obtained from key informants and supporting informants in the field. The first factor is parental attitude, in the form of parents who only pay attention to one child and defend one child. Second, the positional order factor, it is known that parents assign more duties and roles to the first child or older child than to younger children. Third, the gender factor, with children of the same gender, namely girls and boys and boys and boys, there will be more frequent arguments and disputes between them. Fourth, the age difference factor is that some children are quite close to their siblings, giving rise to feelings of jealousy and older siblings who still cannot accept the presence of their younger siblings. Fifth, the number of siblings makes it possible for children not to want to have younger siblings because it will cause older children to fear that their parents' love will be divided. The six factors of parental discipline that provide democratic discipline still give rise to arguments. Seventh, the influence of outsiders is where children get more pleasure outside the home.

Pemberdayaan Keluarga Dalam Pencegahan Stunting Di Nagari Pariangan Kabupaten Tanah Datar

Stunting is a problem that is specifically faced by the world, this is indicated by the increasing occurrence of disturbances in the development and functioning of a child's mental and monitoring conditions. The problem of stunting should not be ignored by the government,because the problem of stunting will greatly impact children's vulnerability to facing life, children who are considered stunted will be more easily exposed to disease and experience severe mental difficulties. The implementation method used is the qualitative research method, the underlying thing is because the implementation of community service activities takes direct data on the field and the Jorong Padang Panjang auxiliary health center. As well as taking additional information from books, journals and the internet so that the fulfillment of information regarding stunting and balanced nutrition is more complete. The implementation of this empowerment is expected that later the community will be able to understand and understand stunting and be able to apply it in life. The focus of this stunting activity is not only on toddlers and children but also aimed at women who are of childbearing age, as well as family members within the scope of the house and fulfillment of nutrition must be prepared early on even before pregnancy.

Development Model of Traditional Ritual Festivalization as Cultural Tourism Attraction in Padang Panjang City, West Sumatra

Traditional rituals were part of the daily life of the Minangkabau and Mentawai indigenous peoples in the past. Since the arrival of Islam, the understanding that has developed in Minangkabau society is "adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi Kitabullah", which means that adat refers to Shari'a, Shari'a refers to the Koran. Halal branding has become a framework for developing tourism in West Sumatra which has resulted in tensions with the indigenous Mentawai people who do not adhere to Islam. The Festival Ritual Nagari raised in this thesis raises both rituals from the culture of the Minangkabau and Mentawai indigenous peoples. This thesis discusses the festivalization of traditional rituals carried out in the city of Padang Panjang, West Sumatra. This research aims to enrich cultural tourism attractions that are inclusive of Mentawai traditional culture so as to achieve the common goal of increasing visitors to West Sumatra. This research was conducted in a qualitative descriptive manner with cultural thematic analysis methods. In-depth interviews were conducted with stakeholders involved in developing the traditional ritual festival in Padang Panjang. The results of this study indicate that the development of traditional rituals as a cultural tourism attraction requires a development model so that the ritual festivals carried out can be sustainable. This study shows that the collaboration of stakeholders greatly influences the continuity of traditional ritual festivals. In addition to the development model, an event management flow chart for the Festival Ritual Nagari 2 and the 2023-2026 Nagari Festival Ritual event calendar were also found. The active collaboration of all stakeholders is suggested so that the Festival Ritual Nagari can be carried out continuously in the future. The establishment of regulations regarding the festival of traditional rituals is needed because it does not only function as a cultural tourism attraction but also cultural diplomacy.

Model Pembiasaan dalam Pembentukaan Akhlak Peserta Didik di Sekolah Dasar

The purpose of this study is to discuss the habituation model in the formation of the morals of students in elementary schools. The formation of morals is very important because morals are the main foundation in the formation of the human person. There are many student moral phenomena that are not in accordance with educational goals, so what can be done is to use a habituation model. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Sources were taken from school principals, PAI teachers, and students. To obtain research data, researchers used interview guidelines and observation guidelines as research instruments. The techniques used in research are observation, interviews and documentation. While the technical data analysis used is using data analysis data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that the habituation model implemented at SDIT Juara Padang Panjang was in the form of routine activities such as Dhuha, Zuhr and Asr prayers in congregation, sunnah fasting, spontaneous activities such as 5S culture, exemplary behavior, speaking and programmed activities that have been scheduled on the educational calendar.

DEVELOPMENT OF ARCS-BASED LEARNING TOOLS CONTAINING HOTS QUESTIONS TO IMPROVE THE CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY OF CLASS VIII SMP/MTS STUDENTS

The literature study and preliminary analysis conducted showed that students' critical thinking skills were still low. This study aims to determine the characteristics of Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction (ARCS)-based learning tools that contain valid, practical, and effective HOTS questions to improve the critical thinking skills of class VIII students of SMP N 6 Padang Panjang. This research is a development research using the Plomp model. The learning tools developed are in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and Student Activity Sheets (LKPD). The research subjects were students of class VIII SMP N 6 Padang Panjang. Data was collected through documentation, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests of critical thinking skills. RPP Validity Score: 3.28 and LKPD: 3.21 with a valid category. Practicality of RPP: 92.08% and LKPD: 87.35% with very practical category. The effectiveness of learning tools based on testing the average critical thinking skills of the experimental class was 81.93, control class was 76.63. Based on statistical tests, a significance value of 0.048 <0.05 was obtained, and based on the list of t distribution tables with (𝑑𝑓)=60 and a=0.05, 1.671. Because t_count= 2.108>1.671=t_(table) then H0 is rejected and accepts H1. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the ARCS-based learning tools contain HOTS questions that meet valid, practical, and effective criteria to improve students' mathematical thinking skills.

Study of Seismicity Based on the Results of Hypocenter Relocation Using Double Difference (HypoDD) Method in West Sumatera and Its Surrounding

The presence of the Indo-Australian plate, the Eurasian plate and the active Sumatra fault zone makes the West Sumatra region and its surroundings have very high seismic activity. To describe the seismicity pattern, it is necessary to analyze the earthquake hypocenter relocation, one of which is using the double difference (hypoDD) method. This method basically uses the data residual travel time from each hypocenter pair to the earthquake seismic station. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relocation of the hypocenter and describe the seismicity pattern in the West Sumatra and surrounding areas. The data used in this study are the time arrivals of P and S waves during the period of 2022 obtained from the earthquake catalog at the Padang Panjang Geophysical Station. The results showed that the earthquake hypocenter was relocated 888 out of 934 earthquake events and the distribution of hypocenter relocation produces a good seismicity pattern. From the results of the earthquake hypocenter relocation, the seismicity pattern in the West Sumatra region and its surroundings is generally influenced by subduction zones and some due to active fault zones. Seismicity in the subduction zone and active faults of Sumatra has a depth of about 50 - 250 km and 5 - 20 km. This indicates that during the period of 2022, subduction zones with medium to deep depths are very active as well as in Sumatra's active fault zones, especially in the Sianok segment.

Lexical Variation of Agam Tanah Datar Dialect in Nagari Gunuang of Padang Panjang City

This study discusses linguistic phenomena regarding the lexical variations of the Agam Tanah Datar dialect found in Nagari Gunuang, Padang Panjang City. The research conducted in Nagari Gunuang covered four villages as observation points, namely Ekor Lubuk village, Sigando village, Ganting village and Ngalau village. This study describes the forms of lexical variations of the Agam Tanah Datar dialect of the Minangkabau language found in Nagari Gunuang, Padang Panjang City. The data of this study are the dialects spoken orally by nine informants. The informants of this study were the natives of Nagari Gunuang who directly explained 851 glosses of vocabulary, phrases and sentences. This research is a qualitative as well as quantitative research. The method of providing data used is the method of observing, noting, and speaking. The method of data analysis uses dialectometric calculations, in order to determine the percentage of speech differences between observation points. In this study, 172 lexical variations were found from 851 glosses which were grouped into: two two-symbol etimonsss, two three-symbol etimonss, two four-symbol etimonsss and three three-symbol etimonss. In the dialectometric calculation, it was found that the overall average percentage was below 25% which was classified as a speech difference.

Peran Baznas Kota Padang Panjang Terhadap Pengurangan Peminjaman Pedagang Kepada Rentenir

Many traders prefer to borrow from loan sharks rather than safer banking institutions for reasons of convenience and speed. The loan sharks apply high interest which includes riba. One of the efforts to avoid the practice of loan sharks is with productive zakat funds from BAZNAS as business funds. This research aims to to see the influence of the role of BAZNAS in Padang Panjang City including service quality, distribution of zakat, empowerment of mustahik and socialization - education on reducing merchant lending to loan sharks.This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample is 70 respondents who are traders who receive BAZNAS zakat funds and have also borrowed from loan sharks. The analytical method used is binary logistic regression analysis. From the results of the logistic regression, it was found that the quality of service was significant in reducing the lending of traders to loan sharks, while the distribution of zakat, empowerment of mustahik and socialization - education were not significant in reducing the lending of traders to loan sharks

LITERASI TOLERANSI BERAGAMA DAN BERBUDAYA BAGI REMAJA DI RUMAH TAHFIZH (YTPQ) CENTER PADANG PANJANG

The younger generation is the cornerstone of the nation's successor who will lead the direction in which the achievement of the nation's goals will be directed. As a country full of diversity of customs, ethnicities, nations and beliefs, literacy of tolerance really needs to be instilled so that the younger generation can respect one another. The Institute of Indonesia Art Padang Panjang team took the initiative to collaborate in building a tolerant young generation's mental attitude by providing training activities to them, especially in West Sumatera. On this occasion, the team conducted this training activity at one of the Tahfizh Qur'an Padang Panjang by means of material and discussion. This activity was carried out for three meetings with sub-themes of activities; 1) Religious Tolerance According to Islamic Shari'a 2) Equality in religion and culture and 3) religious and cultural communication. The background of this activity is the importance of building a religious and cultured mentality in accordance with the Minangkabau aforism “Adat Basandi Sarak, Sarak Basandi Kitabullah”. The method of this training activity is carried out by means of interactive material training and discussion. The results of this activity indicate that Tahfizh Quran youth are interested in the activities carried out and are active in discussions. Teenagers understand the concept of tolerance and indirectly apply this awareness in their daily lives. Evaluation is carried out by responding to various case phenomena presented by the speaker.

Selection and In-Vitro Potentials of Amylolytic Yeast from Several Ragi Tapai in West Sumatra Province

Ragi Tapai is a starter used for the fermentation of cassava and glutinous rice to produce conventional fermented products, such as Tapai in Indonesia. Ragi Tapai contains several enzymes and microbes that help the Tapai fermentation process. The purpose of this study was to identify the most potential amylolytic yeast and in-vitro potential (amylolytic, cellulolytic, and fermentative). GPA, YEA, APB, CMCA, and GPACaCO3 were used as a medium for selection and characterization. The result showed that in the seven samples of Ragi Tapai West Sumatra (Padang, Padang Pariaman, Batusangkar, Padang Panjang, Payakumbuh, Solok, dan Pesisir Selatan), there was three amylolytic yeast including genera Schizosaccharomyces (1 dan 2) and 1 genus Trichosporon. In-vitro potential, showed the genera Schizosaccharomyces and Trichosporon have amylolytic, cellulolytic, and fermentative potential. Genera Schizosaccharomyces 1 has greater amylolytic potential than genera Schizosaccharomyces 2 and Trichosporon.

A library must pay attention to the interior design of the library because this can support the literacy skills of users, one of which is children. Library interior design is a way of arranging the interior layout of a library building, which functions as a container for all activities and activities in the library by creating a comfortable and safe atmosphere and image of the space by paying attention to the needs of the individuals in it without neglecting aesthetic factors. Where the design will be by the expectations of users and librarians to improve children's literacy. Literacy can be interpreted as the ability to read, write, speak, and solve. Penyambutan Bulan-Bulan Khusus (Bulan Suci Ramadhan dan Isra Mi’raj) Dengan Tradisi Maapam di Kampung Padang Panjang Nagari Talu, Pasaman Barat

This research is motivated by the traditions carried out by the people in West Pasaman in welcoming special months, such as welcoming the holy month of Ramadan and commemorating the Isra Mi'raj day which is still carried out today, namely by carrying out the maapam tradition. the purpose of this research is to find out about the maapam tradition that has been carried out by the Nagari Talu community, especially in the Padang Panjang village. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Source of data comes from primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of this study show that if the maapam tradition is still running today, with the maapam activities a friendship can be established because it is done together, and presents laughter and cohesiveness.

Kompetensi Pejabat Pengelola Keuangan dan Peran Audit Internal Terhadap Kualitas Laporan Keuangan SKPD dengan Komitmen Organisasional Sebagai Variabel Pemoderasi

The quality of the financial reports of the Regional Work Unit (SKPD) is an instrument that can be used as a guide in making decisions for interested parties. The purpose of this research was conducted to prove empirically the influence of the competence of financial management officials, the role of internal audit, and organizational commitment on the quality of SKPD financial reports in the Municipal Government of Padang Panjang. The sampling procedure used in this research is the saturated sample method with a sample of 72 people. This research utilizes primary data, namely the method of collecting data through questionnaires. The data analysis method utilizes SEM-PLS with the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The results of the study show that the competence of financial management officials and organizational commitment do not affect the quality of financial reports in the Padang Panjang City Government SKPD. Conversely, the role of internal audit has a positive effect on the quality of financial reports in the Padang Panjang City Government SKPD.Keywords: Competence of financial management officials; the role of internal audit; organizational commitment; quality of the financial statements.

AbstractIndustrial designs in the field of dome architecture have long-term potential to become sustainable projects. The choice of color is an element of art that cannot be separated from the architectural design of the dome wherever this product is applied. The research "Analysis of color selection in the Putra Jamin Padang Panjang dome product industry" aims to understand the ideal and long-lasting color selection for Enamel and decorative dome products accompanied by studies on the use of standard paint for car painting. The research method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. This research is expected to contribute to similar business actors to be able to improve work quality in terms of color selection and product durability, so as to have products that have aesthetic value and high selling value.Keywords: dome, color, enamel, decorative.

Itsbat Nikah Terhadap Pernikahan Dibawah Umur Perspektif Mashlahah Mursalah (Studi Analisis Penetapan Nomor 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP)

The author's reason for raising this issue into a scientific work in the form of a thesis is because there are differences of opinion among judges at the Padang Panjang Religious Court regarding the itsbat of marriage for underage marriages in determining number 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP which is the woman's party. when he got married he was 16 years old. First, the marriage certificate must be rejected because it has violated the law on marriage registration and the minimum age for marriage is 19 years. Second, the itsbat of marriage can be accepted on the grounds that it is mashlahah murslahah. How does the mashlahah mursalah analysis of this determination be explored by the author in this study. The author gives limitations on the problem regarding the legal considerations of the Panel of Judges regarding Determination Number 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP and the analysis of mashlahah mursalah in determining number 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP regarding itsbat marriage for underage marriages. This research is an analytical descriptive research by conducting an analysis of the determination of judges in the case of itsbat marriage for underage marriages, the research uses a normative juridical research type. This is because this legal research aims to examine legal principles, using qualitative data, namely data presented in the form of verbal words, not in the form of numbers. Primary data sources were obtained from Decree Number 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP, Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning marriage and the Compilation of Islamic Law. In collecting data, it is done by taking inventory of data, classifying data, and then analyzing it by conducting a study of cases related to the issues faced in the determination of number 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP and the laws and regulations using maslahah mursalah to then draw conclusions from the results of the analysis. From the results of the research that the authors conducted, it was found that: First, the basis for the legal considerations of the Panel of Judges in granting the application for itsbat marriage for underage marriages contained in the stipulation Number 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP is Article 8 Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning the prohibition of marriage between two people who are related by blood, are related to semenda and are related to breastfeeding. Article 14 KHI regarding the pillars of marriage, namely the existence of a prospective husband, prospective wife, marriage guardian, two witnesses and consent and qabul. And for the benefit of the parties and the child, this is also in accordance with the rules of fiqh which reads "rejecting adversity must take precedence over taking benefit". Second, the legal considerations of the panel of judges in determining Number 4/Pdt.P/2022/PA.PP found mashlahah mursalah because by granting the itsbat of marriage for underage marriages, the couple can register their marriage at the Office of Religious Affairs because marriage registration aims to realize The purpose of law is for society to create order, certainty and legal protection, so that the civil rights of husbands, wives and children can be fulfilled.

The occurrence of doxycycline residue in raw dairy milk from Malang and Padang Panjang, Indonesia

Antibiotic residue in milk has a negative impact on human health. The objective of this study was to determine the presence of doxycycline residues in fresh dairy milk and to evaluate its dietary intake to Indonesian population through milk consumption. Ninety milk samples were collected from the District of Malang (East Java Province) and sixty-six milk samples from Padang Panjang City (West Sumatera Province). All samples were analyzed for doxycycline residue using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The estimated daily intake (EDI) was determined by multiplying the mean concentration of antibiotics and the average daily milk consumption dividing it by the weight of population target. The occurrence of doxycycline residue obtained in raw milk samples was 36.67% for samples from Malang and 12.12% for samples from Padang Panjang. The range and average concentration for doxycycline residue in milk samples were 44.8-557.2 ng/g and 203.0 ng/g for samples from Malang and 14.2-64.5 ng/g and 30.1 ng/g for samples from Padang Panjang, respectively. Samples from Malang shows the highest EDI values of doxycycline both for adult, and children population and demonstrated the toxicological risk of consumption doxycycline together with the present other types or groups of antibiotics residue in milk or other types of foods. The results obtained show that, to prevent the negative effects of antibiotic residues on human health, the presence of antibiotic residues in raw dairy milk still needs to be monitored regularly.
