INTEGRATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY AND IOT TECHNOLOGY FOR GEOTHERMAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN PACITAN

Background: Pacitan Regency, located between hills, mountains, and waters, boasts abundant natural resources, including geothermal potential and renewable energy. However, its remote location, far from the capital of East Java, has led to underutilization of these resources, particularly in the tourism sector. Objective: This initiative aims to develop eco-friendly tourist destinations integrated with IoT technology to enhance Pacitan's branding and recognition. Method: The project involves planning through Forum Group Discussions (FGD) and socialization, followed by technical implementation, publicity, recruitment of local cadres, and signing of integrity pacts. Subsequent steps include strengthening local identity, implementation, and program monitoring and evaluation. Results: The partnership has effectively addressed challenges related to infrastructure and planning for renewable energy and IoT-based geothermal tourism while adhering to sustainable development principles. Conclusion: The activity was successfully executed, receiving strong support from regional figures. The material delivery was precise, the target participant numbers were met, and there was significant collaboration with local communities and universities. The project has not only helped local partners but also contributed to Pacitan's potential for sustainable tourism development.

Sektor Unggulan Sebagai Penggerak Utama Penurunan Kemiskinan di Pacitan

The purpose of this research is to identify and classify the potential resources in Pacitan Regency so that can maximized optimally. This study employs a descriptive quantitative method, based on Gross Regional Domestic Product data at Constant Prices of 2010 for Pacitan Regency and East Java Province from 2018 to 2022. The analytical models used include Location Quotient, Shift Share, Typology Klassen, and followed by a 10-year poverty trend analysis. The results indicate that during this period, Pacitan Regency has only two leading sectors, suggesting the need for future efforts to balance the development of other sectors to avoid over-reliance on these leading sectors. This research serves as a reference for policy-making related to economic advancement in Pacitan Regency, ultimately contributing to poverty reduction.

Readiness and efforts of civics teachers in developing literacy and numeracy skills

This research aimed to assess the readiness and efforts of civics teachers in developing literacy and numeracy skills. For data collection, qualitative methods including surveys and interviews, were employed. A total of 38 civics teachers from junior high schools in Pacitan Regency, Indonesia were selected based on gender, teaching experience, and certification. The data was analyzed using both qualitative narrative and quantitative descriptive analysis, employing percentages. The results showed that civics teachers demonstrated moderate proficiency in literacy skills, while their numeracy abilities were considered sufficient. In addition, teachers exhibited a greater readiness for literacy-oriented learning compared to numeracy. The efforts made by teachers encompassed four aspects, namely i) collaborating with colleagues and implementing student-centered collaborative learning, ii) developing a culture of literacy and numeracy through training and discussions, iii) seeking out learning resources and media that supported literacy and numeracy, and iv) promoting reading, annotating texts, and analyzing numeracy-related readings.

Pengembangan Potensi Wisata dan Kesesuaian Lahan Wisata terhadap Resiko Tsunami di Kawasan Teluk Pacitan

The southern coastal region of Pacitan Regency, particularly in six districts, namely Ngadirejo, Sudimoro, Kebonagung, Donorojo, Pringkuku, and Pacitan District, is classified as a high-risk tsunami red zone. Based on the research findings, the Pacitan Bay area consists of two villages, namely Sidoarjo Village and Ploso Village in Pacitan Distict. Sidoarjo Village covers an area of 8.36 km², while Ploso Village covers 3.66 km², making the total area 12.02 km² or 1202 hectares. The analysis of land suitability for tourism in relation to tsunami risk aims to assess the level of compatibility of a tourist area located in a tsunami-prone region. The environmental vulnerability parameters include elevation, land slope, coastal morphology, land use, distance from the coastline, and distance from rivers. Additionally, bathymetric data and tsunami run-up based on historical tsunami events in the southern coastal areas of Java Island are utilized to assess the extent and depth of tsunami inundation. In the analysis of tourism suitability based on tsunami disaster mitigation, the suitable tourism area is located in the eastern part of Sidoarjo Village and the entire Ploso Village. These areas fall into the high tsunami risk zone, but their tourism potential is also high due to the coastal location of tourist attractions

Pola Implementasi Pelatihan Batik Cap Interaktif Motif Khas Pacitan untuk Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar

The implementation pattern of interactive stamp batik training with typical motifs of Pacitan Regency for elementary school children is designed based on adaptive learning and digital technopreneurship. The purpose of this training is to introduce batik skills from an early age and equip children with technological and entrepreneurial skills. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed a significant increase in children's understanding and skills in making batik stamps, as well as a greater appreciation of local cultural heritage. Training also contributes to the development of technology-based entrepreneurial skills. Challenges related to limited access to technology and training materials have been successfully overcome with an adaptive and collaborative approach.

Benchmarking data handling strategies for landslide susceptibility modeling using random forest workflows

Machine learning (ML) algorithms are frequently used in landslide susceptibility modeling. Different data handling strategies may generate variations in landslide susceptibility modeling, even when using the same ML algorithm. This research aims to compare the combinations of inventory data handling, cross validation (CV), and hyperparameter tuning strategies to generate landslide susceptibility maps. The results are expected to provide a general strategy for landslide susceptibility modeling using ML techniques. The authors employed eight landslide inventory data handling scenarios to convert a landslide polygon into a landslide point, i.e., the landslide point is located on the toe (minimum height), on the scarp (maximum height), at the center of the landslide, randomly inside the polygon (1 point), randomly inside the polygon (3 points), randomly inside the polygon (5 points), randomly inside the polygon (10 points), and 15 m grid sampling. Random forest models using CV–nonspatial hyperparameter tuning, spatial CV–spatial hyperparameter tuning, and spatial CV–forward feature selection–no hyperparameter tuning were applied for each data handling strategy. The combination generated 24 random forest ML workflows, which are applied using a complete inventory of 743 landslides triggered by Tropical Cyclone Cempaka (2017) in Pacitan Regency, Indonesia, and 11 landslide controlling factors. The results show that grid sampling with spatial CV and spatial hyperparameter tuning is favorable because the strategy can minimize overfitting, generate a relatively high-performance predictive model, and reduce the appearance of susceptibility artifacts in the landslide area. Careful data inventory handling, CV, and hyperparameter tuning strategies should be considered in landslide susceptibility modeling to increase the applicability of landslide susceptibility maps in practical application.

Menemukan Kunci Kinerja: Pengaruh Kemampuan dan Usaha dengan Mediasi Dukungan Manajemen

This research aims to understand the influence of ability and work effort on employee performance which is mediated by management support. This type of research applies quantitative descriptive and data collection techniques from questionnaires. The sample was 60 employees of UD. Gemah Ripah, Pacitan Regency. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling. The data analysis methods used include validity tests, reliability tests, and classic assumption tests, which consist of normality tests, multicollinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. To test the hypothesis, use the Path Analysis and R2 tests using the SPSS Version 25 computer program. Based on the research results, it show that (1) Ability and Work Effort have a positive impact on Employee Performance at UD. Gemah Ripah Pacitan Regency. Pola Penerapan STEAM dalam Produksi Playmat Interaktif untuk Pendidikan Muatan Lokal di Sekolah Pinggiran Kabupaten Pacitan

The implementation pattern of this community service aims to understand how to implement the STEAM method (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) in the production of interactive playmats intended to enhance local content education in schools on the outskirts of Pacitan Regency. Through a participatory approach, this activity involves teachers and students in the design and production process of playmats, which are designed to facilitate interactive and enjoyable learning. The results of the implementation show that the application of the STEAM method not only enhances students' creativity and technical skills but also strengthens their understanding of local culture. The evaluation of playmat usage indicates a significant increase in students' interest and engagement in learning. Therefore, this activity recommends that integrating the STEAM method into local educational products can be an effective model for developing education in remote areas.

Development of Rice Distribution Model to Support Food Security in East Java Province

This study aims to analyze problems in food distribution from upstream to downstream and the efficiency of the distribution values of the food chain, and formulate an efficient food distribution system model in Pacitan Regency. A mixed method, which combines quantitative and qualitative analyses, was used. The first objective was analyzed with the fishbone diagram, the second objective with the value chain model, and the third objective with the Matrix of Alliances and Conflicts: Tactics, Objectives, and Recommendations (MACTOR). This study used primary and secondary data obtained from observations, surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions. Respondents consisted of stakeholders in agriculture and distribution channels, namely farm laborers, landowners, wholesalers, warehousing, brokers, agents, retailers, bankers / financial institutions, and information providers. The objectives associated with product flow included transportation, risk, price, distribution, profit. The results show that there are problems in the four areas of production, post-harvest, trading system, and institution. There are three food distribution systems in Pacitan East Java but the most efficient model is farmers-millers-retailers-consumers. Although farmers must allow more time to reimbursement, prices are more affordable for consumers. The results of stakeholder analysis found that the stakeholders with the highest competitiveness are retailers, agents, information and warehousing, while those with the lowest are farm laborers and landowners. The results of the convergence show that close relationship is observed between farm laborers, collectors, warehousing and landowners in Order One 1; between warehouses, landowners, and collectors in Order Two 2; and between agents and collectors in Order Three 3. This shows that collectors have the strongest potential to play the central role in the agricultural chain.

Analyzing the Impact of Population Density on Hepatitis A Prevalence Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Sudimoro District, Pacitan Regency

Background: This study examines the relationship between population density and Hepatitis A prevalence in Sudimoro District, Pacitan Regency, using data from 2019. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology was employed to analyze spatial patterns and correlations. Method: The research applied a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data on Hepatitis A cases and population density. Simple linear correlation analysis revealed a moderate positive correlation (r = 0.48) between population density and the number of Hepatitis A cases, indicating that higher population density is associated with increased disease prevalence. Findings: Villages with high density, such as Gunung Rejo and Sudimoro, generally reported more cases, while those with lower density showed fewer cases. However, anomalies like Sembowo, which has high density but fewer cases, suggest that other local factors, such as sanitation and healthcare access, also play significant roles. The study underscores the importance of targeting high-density areas for public health interventions while considering additional factors influencing disease spread. Further research is recommended to explore these variables in more detail.

Analisis Social Return on Investment (SROI) Program CSR Pemanfaatan Limbah Fly Ash dan Bottom Ash (FABA) PT PLN Nusantara Power UP Pacitan

This research presents an evaluation of the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility programme based on the use of Fly Ash and Bottom Ash (FABA) waste. The form of programme implementation is the use of coal combustion waste to make products such as bricks and paving blocks. The products are used in the construction of livable houses, village road casting and soil stabilisation in several areas of Pacitan Regency, East Java. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by examining the social and economic impacts on local communities through six stages of Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis. The measured social benefits were greater than the investment with a ratio of 2.4:1. This means that for every IDR 1 invested, IDR 2.4 benefits were realised. This shows that the programme has the potential for economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Analysis of Potential Business Service Retribution to Regional Original Revenue in Pacitan Regency 2019-2023

This study aims to analyze the potential revenue from business service retribution in Pacitan Regency by utilizing the actual revenue data of the retributions from 2019 to 2023. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The primary data was obtained from interviews and the secondary data was collected from the financial reports of Pacitan Regency. To analyze the data, the researcher used a potential analysis of the current conditions from 2019 to 2023 and a trend analysis to project estimated revenues. The researcher used the data in the period before the pandemic and after the pandemic for the next four years. The potential analysis results indicate that there are components of business service retribution that potentially need to be improved. These components are fish auction place retribution, with revenue realization of 99.51% of the set budget, and recreational and sports places retribution, with revenue realization of 83.43% of the set budget. The trend analysis predicts an annual increase in revenue of IDR 2,722,774,900.50 according to predictive analytics after the pandemic. Based on this research, several aspects need to be improved to enhance the revenue from business service retribution, particularly concerning the quality of Human Resources (HR). The improvement and addition of facilities at locations as the objects of business service retribution are also needed.

Analisis Jumlah Penduduk, Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) dan Belanja Daerah terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) di Kabupaten Pacitan

This research aims to evaluate the influence of population, gross regional domestic product (GRDP), and regional expenditure on PAD from 2012 to 2021. The results of the study show that partially, population and regional expenditure have a positive but not significant influence on PAD, while GRDP has a positive and significant influence on PAD. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant influence on PAD in Pacitan Regency. In conclusion, the importance of effective local economic management in increasing PAD and community welfare in the area. Analisis Pengaruh Game Online Terhadap Perilaku Siswa SD Negeri 3 Petungsinarang Bandar

This study investigated how online games affect student behavior in SD Negeri 3 Petungsinarang, Bandar District, Pacitan Regency, East Java. This research was conducted through survey method. This study involved all students in grades IV, V, and VI of SD Negeri 3 Petungsinarang Bandar. In total, 26 students from grades IV, V, and VI of SD Negeri 3 Petungsinarang Bandar were taken as samples, and a simple random sample method was used. The instrument is a questionnaire with a rating scale and Likert scale. Questionnaires are used to collect data. Simple linear regression analysis is used to present the data. The results showed that the value of fcount (2.471) was greater than ftable (0.388252), and the significant level of α = significant regression of 0.05. Therefore, the test results resulted in a regression equation Y = 39,120 + 0.249, which shows that online games affect student behavior in grades IV, V, and VI of SD Negeri 3 Petungsinarang Bandar District. The constant 39.120 indicates that if the value of the online game is 0, then the student's behavioral value (Y) is equal to 39.120. The positive relationship between the online game variable (X) and the student behavior variable (Y) is indicated by a positive value The higher the student's score in an online game is characterized by the lower the student's interest in the game, and vice versa. The higher the score, the better the student's behavior.

Damage State of Non-Engineered Residential Buildings Owing to Earthquakes: A Case Study in Pacitan Regency, Indonesia

Abstract The Pacitan Regency of Indonesia is located in an area of high seismic activities. Regrettably, field surveys held in Pacitan Regency, Indonesia have revealed the prevalence of low-income housing structures that do not meet the engineering standards and are vulnerable to damage during earthquakes. The seismic evaluation of these buildings is urgently required. This study proposes realistic damage state limit values for the seismic damage evaluation of non-engineered buildings. For this purpose, an incremental dynamic analysis was conducted on a sample of non-engineered buildings in Pacitan to evaluate their probable seismic damage. As a result, curves showing the dynamic pushover responses of buildings to various input earthquakes were plotted. These curves were then summarized as three-linear curves, providing a single value for the average response of the structure. Based on this simplified curve, a more realistic damage-state limit for non-engineered structures are proposed. The damage levels of slight (DS1), moderate (DS2), extensive (DS3), and complete (DS4) were determined using the drift ratio at the linear elastic limit, midway point between the linear elastic and yield limits, yield state, and 80% rupture limit, respectively.

Pembuatan Modul Ajar Peta Online untuk Masyarakat Umum

One of the conveniences on the internet is the existence of online maps, where with online maps, if someone wants to go to an area, they no longer need to look for information by asking other people, but can use an online map called Google Maps. In this community service, a teaching module was created to create online maps with Google My Maps which is expected to help the general public who want to develop map facilities provided by the internet, in this case Google. The method of implementing this community service is planning, analysis, collecting data via the internet (which includes Longitude coordinates, Latitude coordinates, and names of tourist attractions), implementing online map making, and making reports. The data used as a sample is map data of tourist attractions in Pacitan Regency. The result of this community service is a teaching module or activity report that can be used to develop map facilities provided by the internet, in this case Google.

Learning Material Organization for Disaster Resilient Villages

This study aims to express the best learning material organization for the Disaster Resilient Village Program (Program Desa Tangguh Bencana, DESTANA). It was delivered to the people of Pacitan Regency as a disaster-prone area. Various potential disasters exist in the area of Pacitan Regency. The learning material is organized in line with the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy, which applies six levels of thought processes. The learning process starts from a hierarchical structure that identifies lower-level thinking skills to higher levels of skills that are ready for operational implementation. The Lower Order Thinking Skills materials encompass understanding various disaster vulnerabilities based on geographical conditions, the nature of disaster threats and risks, participatory disaster management by the community, principles of evacuation planning, the role of Disaster Management Plans, the paradigm of disaster risk management, principles of the Early Warning System (EWS), the purpose of contingency plans, and principles of first aid in emergencies. The Higher Order Thinking Skills materials include the ability to measure indicators for disaster-resilient villages, establish volunteer working groups, design evacuation stages, develop Disaster Management Plans, Disaster Risk Management, Early Warning Systems (EWS), and Village Contingency Plans. The learning achievement is measured through community understanding and practice, the success of building a disaster response coordination structure, and activities in a disaster simulation. It is organized in seven discussion forums. The program resulted in significant achievements. Dance is a form of performing art that involves human body movements that are choreographed to convey certain expressions, stories, feelings or messages to the audience. Dance learning is an educational process that aims to teach students about dance, both traditional dance and modern dance. The implementation method consists of several stages, namely the observation and coordination stage of implementation, determination of themes and types of activities, training and documentation stages. The location of this research is SDN 2 Padi located in Watulumbung Hamlet, Padi Village, Tulakan District, Pacitan Regency. Dance learning is an educational process that aims to teach students about dance, both traditional dance and modern dance. The implementation method consists of several stages, namely the observation and coordination stage of implementation, determination of themes and types of activities, training and documentation stages. The location of this research is SDN 2 Padi located in Watulumbung Hamlet, Padi Village, Tulakan District, Pacitan Regency. Dance learning will be held from September 21 to October 23, 2023 with 2-3 meetings a week. There were 17 dance learning participants consisting of 15 women and 2 men from classes IV, V and VI. Digital Marketing Training For Home Businesses In Bodag Village, Ngadirojo District, Pacitan Regency

This Community Service Activity for Real Work Lectures (PkM KKN) aims to provide knowledge and skills to the community, especially those who have businesses at Real Work Lecture locations, so they can market their businesses through various digital platforms such as Shoppi, Lazada, and other social media. The approach used in implementing this KKN PkM activity is to first make preparations, which consist of registering data on potential participants and their businesses, contacting village officials and preparing training places, contacting resource persons, then carrying out KKN PkM activities on a previously determined day and ending with evaluation. The Real Work Lecture activity, which is part of Community Empowerment or Community Service, was carried out for 2.5 months, in this regard, digital marketing training was carried out for home businesses at the KKN location on Saturday, October 28 2023, which presented speakers from business actors who use digital marketing, this activity was attended by a target group of 27 people who have various home businesses, such as a small specialty food industry from the village, so by participating in this activity it is hoped that they can market their business more widely and their income will increase. Apart from delivering material and practice, PkM activities also include mentoring provided by KKN participants so that they can truly market their businesses. After completing the activity, the participants were evaluated through observation and interviews with the results, the majority stated that this activity was very useful and felt happy, with the hope that it could be applied to increase income, apart from that they also gained new knowledge and skills, the hope was that there would be mentoring and other training, as well as understanding how to market your business products via cellphone.

Assessment of Land Quality for Siamese Orange (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) Development in Pacitan Regency, Indonesia

Siamese oranges are one of the most widely developed horticultural crops in Indonesia. Arjosari and Ngadirojo are some of the sub-districts that produce Siamese orange in Pacitan Regency. One of the factors that can affect the development of citrus is land quality. This study aims to obtain land quality index data and improvement efforts for developing Siamese orange. Soil samples were taken from 25 land mapping units (LMUs) with 87 sample points. The soil sampling points were determined based on area or sampling density. Data analysis used for soil quality assessment includes correlation, principal component analysis (PCA), minimum data set (MDS), and calculation of climate quality index. The parameters used in this study are bulk density, porosity, moisture content, texture, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), cation exchange capacity (CEC), base saturation, total N, available P, available K, soil organic carbon (SOC), microbial biomass carbon (MBC), evapotranspiration, temperature, and solar radiation. Based on the results of soil quality analysis in the study area, it has a value range of 0.28 to 0.37, including low class, while the climate quality index is 1.39 with moderate class. The land quality index has a very low to low class with a value of 0.39 to 0.51. Intrinsic, extrinsic, and anthropogenic factors can influence soil quality. The study area’s limiting factors for developing Siamese oranges are EC, total N, and available P, which can be improved by making furrow ponds, adding organic fertilizer, using urea fertilizer, and SP36 according to the dosage.
