Organizing the automated system of dispatch control over pump units at water pumping stations

The design and operation of modern dispatch control systems for pumping units involves comprehensive solution to separate engineering, technical, and scientific problems. The object of research is information processes enabling the operational modes of electrically driven pumping units at water pumping stations. This paper solves the scientific and technical task related to developing topology, hardware, and software tools, control algorithms, dispatch interface, and researching the modes of operation of pumping units in dispatch control systems at water pumping stations. Algorithms for controlling pumping units have been implemented, the advantage of which is the possibility of automated calculation of parameters for technological PID-controllers, taking into account the current electrical parameters of the frequency-controlled electric drive of pumping units and operating conditions. The WEB-oriented dispatch interface of the SCADA-based pumping unit control system was designed and tested, which enables control process in real time. Features of the developed dispatch control system are improved topology, expanded functionality, energy-saving control modes, and the possibility of further modernization based on the principles of standardization and unification of hardware and software tools and design procedures. The developed dispatch control system for pumping units at water pumping stations has been implemented and is successfully operated at an industrial water supply enterprise. The results provided for an increase in technical and economic indicators during the operation of technological equipment due to the efficiency of control and management procedures, energy-saving operational modes of the frequency-controlled electric drive of pumping units.

Measures to increase the reliability and efficiency of water supply and wastewater disposal systems

The reliability of water supply and wastewater disposal systems has a significant impact on the environment: therefore, it is essential to implement new methods and approaches that reduce the risk of emergency situations. Based on the experience in automation, maintenance and modernization of wastewater disposal and water supply systems, the study suggests introducing additional programmable modules into automated control systems that provide control and regulation directly on the actuator. For this purpose, the study involves OWEN Logic programming environment, which manages pumping stations through programmable relays. The paper presents functional diagrams that have been introduced into standard macros to increase the reliability of pumping units. In addition, the paper demonstrates that the implementation of multi-level management facilitates the improvement of existing water supply and wastewater disposal systems, thereby increasing their functional capabilities and ensuring the efficient operation of technological equipment. The conducted analysis shows that the adoption of this method for managing technological processes will enhance the reliability and durability of the equipment, ensuring uninterrupted operation of pumping stations. With a change in the performance of water supply and wastewater disposal systems, the installed devices will allow for modernization with minimal economic costs, and reprogramming the operation of the low-level automation without affecting the performance of other levels.

WAYS TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT

Increasing the productivity of production systems and equipment in the meat industry is inextricably linked with maintenance activities. The article analyzes the influence of manufacturability, hygiene, reliability, simplicity of equipment design on the main indicators of the quality of meat products. It is shown that the Total Productive Maintenance (TRM) and Lean production strategy is an important tool for evaluating the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) indicator, which is used to evaluate the main types of losses that reduce the efficiency of equipment. The relationship of structural and mechanical characteristics of food masses, humidity of raw materials, temperature and viscosity, processing pressure, density on the optimal operating modes of the equipment is analyzed. Using the OEE concept, the time losses associated with the functioning of the equipment are determined. The types of losses are classified: downtime and changeover (availability or readiness) of equipment, short-term shutdown of equipment and reduction of processing speed (equipment performance), defective products and product losses at startup (quality) of equipment. The application of this method of studying the overall efficiency of the equipment can be applied to any technological equipment used in the meat industry and will eliminate many problems that arise during the operation of technological equipment, improve its technical and economic indicators, develop a system of measures to improve its maintenance and repair. Using this concept, it is possible to systematize the factors that reduce the efficiency of the equipment. At the same time, it is proved that information about the factors affecting the loss of equipment operation time allows you to create a system for maintenance and repair of equipment.

BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION RECONSTRUCTION DESIGN

In order to create the necessary conditions for life and development of society, the production of various products are organized. The nomenclature and consumer qualities of the produced products are determined by the level of scientific and technical development, economic and social living conditions. For the production of products, houses and buildings are erected, which are equipped with certain means of production. The term of functioning of means of production is due to physical and moral wear and tear of machines and mechanisms. Buildings and structures in, which means production are located and function also age physically and morally, although this aging occurs slower than the means of production.Scientific and technical progress is currently characterized by a faster onset of wear and tear of the nomenclature of manufactured products. In addition, in connection with the changes taking place in society, the nomenclature of manufactured products replaced. The problem of retooling the functioning industry (replacing morally or physically outdated means of production, the emergence of need to produce new types of products) arose before humanity a long time ago.Under reconstruction - the production of works, which carried out according to single project:- with a change in volume-planning decisions;- replacement or strengthening of existing structures;- demolition of existing and construction of new structures related to the operation of technological equipment;- with the replacement of obsolete or physically worn equipment;- with mechanization, production automation, etc. When carrying out the reconstruction of the main production facility, as a rule, significant volumes of work are always performed on auxiliary and service facilities.Reconstruction also includes the construction of new workshops and facilities instead of those, which being liquidated, the further operation of which is deemed impractical due to technical and economic conditions. They can be erected both on free territories and on areas vacated as a result of the liquidation (demolition) of the object.Technical re-equipment is clear as the implementation of a set of measures in accordance with the technical development plan of the enterprise according to projects and estimates for individual objects and types of work (without expanding existing production areas) to raise the technical level of individual areas of production, aggregates, and installations to modern requirements by introducing new equipment and technology, mechanization and automation of production processes, modernization and replacement of obsolete or physically worn equipment with new, more productive ones.Sometimes technical rearmament considered as a type of reconstruction with a relatively small amount of construction and installation work. As it is not difficult to see from the given definitions, new construction and expansion are in fact new construction, while the difference between them is only in the conditions of execution of works. Expansion of construction is carried out in difficult (compressed) conditions. Technical rearmament, as it was emphasized, mainly involves the organization of the dismantling of the old and the installation of new equipment on the existing foundations.In the future, the main attention will be paid to the issues of actual reconstruction, namely:- organization of works related to the strengthening of existing building structures, their replacement with temporary transfer of loads;- replacement of beams and trusses in areas of the covering located in areas difficult to reach for installation cranes;- by increasing the pitch of the columns without disassembly.

Horizontal tank strength analysis considering nozzle loads and horizontal deviations

When assessing the reliable and safe operation of technological equipment, and in particular, capacitive-type equipment, a fairly diverse number of methods are used. However, all current procedures do not sufficiently take into account the impact of certain factors on the forming stressed-deformed state of the object. Usually, when assessing the actual technical condition of an object, the level of defect of the object is determined, and appropriate calculations are carried out according to the criterion of the dominant damage mechanism. A significant impact on the stressed-deformed state of the shell structure can be exerted by the level of loads on process nozzles from the connection of process pipelines, as well as possible deviations during installation work. One of these deviations may be a deviation from the horizontal of the housing when installing supports on the foundation. Moreover, the combination of the action of the above factors can have a determining negative effect on the strength, and, accordingly, the operational reliability of the technical device. In the modern world, technological progress does not stand still and the consequence of this is the development of a fairly extensive number of software products that allow you to simulate possible individual scenarios for the development of unfavorable processes and predict the behavior of the object under the conditions under consideration. In this work, studies are carried out on the strength analysis of the horizontal tank, taking into account various values of loads on the nozzle of the body diameter, as well as taking into account the deviation of the tank body from horizontal.

Technical Solutions to Reduce the Amount of Dust Particle Breakthrough when Cleaning Emissions from the Production of Reinforced Concrete Products Using Dust Collectors with Counter Swirling Flows

Introduction. The production of reinforced concrete products, being the basis of modern industrial construction, is a very significant source of dust emissions. Traditional cleaning methods are often unable to ensure the compliance with air quality requirements, and replacing them with more modern ones requires significant capital and operational costs. One of the most promising ways to solve the problem is the use of a new class of inertial dust collectors with counter swirling flows, combining constructive simplicity and low operating costs with sufficiently high work efficiency. The aim of the work was to analyze the factors influencing the magnitude of the breakthrough coefficient of fine dust particles, as well as the development of constructive solutions aimed at reducing it. Materials and Methods. An analytical review of technical solutions aimed at reducing the breakthrough magnitude was carried out, on the basis of which the designs of the lower input of dust collectors with counter swirling flows were developed. Methods of computational experiment and field measurements were used to confirm the effectiveness of the developed structures. Results. By means of numerical experiments, the information about the aerodynamic flow pattern in the separation chamber of the CSF dust collector was obtained, and the breakthrough magnitude of dust particles was estimated. The solutions were developed for the design of the lower coaxial input of the swirling flow of dust collectors on the counter swirling flows, taking into account the features of dust pollution generated during the operation of technological equipment of reinforced concrete production. Discussion and Conclusion. The presence of a displacement of the axis of the secondary swirling flow from the axis of symmetry of the separation chamber was established. The consequence of this was the non-coaxiality of the primary and secondary flows, which led to a decrease in the intensity of the twist, the formation of parasitic vortices, and, as a consequence, an increase in the value of the breakthrough coefficient. This effect was especially pronounced with a large proportion of fine dust particles, characteristic of dust pollution formed during the production of reinforced concrete products. The proposed design of the coaxial input of the secondary swirling flow reduced the magnitude of this eccentricity, which made it possible to achieve a significant reduction in the breakthrough magnitude of fine particles characteristic of dust emissions of reinforced concrete industries. The results obtained can be effectively used both in the production of reinforced concrete products and in other branches of construction production, which is characterized by intensive formation of fine dust emissions.

Transportation of cuttings by drilling mud in horizontal wells. Part 2. Numerical results of drilling at optimal rheological properties of mud

The relevance. Ensuring technological equipment operation efficiency when drilling wells with an arbitrary orientation of their wellbores. In particular, the search for productive hydrocarbon reservoirs requires drilling deeper wells with extended horizontal sections, for which the removal of the cuttings bed is the key problem of modern drilling. The aim. Study the features and establish the patterns of cuttings movement through the annulus eccentric space formed by a drill string and well walls under various modes (in-situ) and drilling conditions within the framework of modern mathematical models of hydrodynamics, numerical algorithms and approaches implemented in ANSYS CFD. Optimize the parameters that determine drilling, such as an inclination angle, mass-average velocity and morphology of the inlet rheologically complex viscous flow to form the maximum allowable drilling velocity for various combinations of mud effective viscosity and mixture flow rate. Give practical recommendations for engineers to reduce time, costs and material resources for maintenance and optimization of well cleaning. The object. A well with an eccentric core and an extended horizontal section operating in modes and conditions close to real drilling. The methods. Complex of physical and mathematical analysis and numerical modeling of hydrodynamics and mass transfer in homogeneous and heterogeneous continuous media. The media were widely tested on the class of internal rheological complex flows, the verification of which was carried out under appropriate conditions, performed by other authors when solving problems of drilling and cleaning wells. The results. The paper presents the results of a numerical study of hydrodynamics of a dispersed flow of a rheological complex viscous mixture of a drilling fluid with the properties of a Herschel–Bulkley type fluid and sand particles in wells with an arbitrary generatrix of its wellbore in an eccentric space. The results are required to clarify the features that accompany direct-flow and swirling flow (the moving wall method), identify the patterns in such modes, accounting for which allows for effective cleaning of the annulus. The calculations were performed within the framework of modern mathematical models of the RANS-method and the Euler–Lagrangian approach to describing the motion of heterogeneous media, implemented in the ANSYS CFD software and efficient numerical algorithms for determining intra- and interfacial processes of mass and momentum transfer in mixtures. The authors have determined that when drilling a vertical section, the most effective parameter in terms of cleaning control is the effective viscosity of the mud; the most problematic configurations for cleaning are wells with sloping sections at angles close to the vertical. When drilling a horizontal section, the eccentricity of the drill string creates “the dead” zone of flow and complicates cleaning. This zone should be removed by creating swirling flow conditions through relatively weak rotation of a drill string (30–60 rpm). When drilling inclined sections, it is necessary to reduce a solution viscosity (preferably to the level of fresh water) and increase the flow rate (in this case, to 2 m/s or higher). When drilling a horizontal section, a mud with a viscosity close to fresh water is recommended at flow rates of about 2 m/s (or 640 gpm) at the well inlet and a maximum drilling velocity of 9 m/h.

Effect of the technological parameters of plasma-arc spraying of flux-cored wire on the structure and properties of intermetallide coatings based on Fe3Al

Existing techniques for applying intermetallide layers are characterized by low productivity, difficulties associated with the maintenance and operation of technological equipment, as well as significant costs for the purchase of materials for spraying. Therefore, modern science shows considerable interest in the development of new, highly effective technologies to form intermetallide coatings on the surface of articles. Such promising techniques include the technology of plasma-arc spraying (PAS) of flux-cored wires. This technique has a number of significant advantages, namely high performance, relative simplicity, as well as the affordability of equipment and materials for coating. This paper reports a study into the structure and properties of coatings obtained by flux-cored wire PAS, in which the steel sheath and aluminum powder filler interact when heated with the exothermic effect of Fe3Al synthesis. The influence of technological parameters of PAS process on the structure and properties of Fe-Al coatings was investigated by means of mathematical planning of the experiment. It was found that in all samples the main phase is an intermetallide of the Fe3Al type. Tests for gas-abrasive wear resistance at room temperature showed that the wear resistance of coatings exceeds the stability of steel S235 by an average of 2 times. As a result of studying the electrochemical properties in a 3-% aqueous solution of NaCl and in a 0.5-% solution of H2SO4, the score of corrosion resistance for these media was determined, which was, respectively, 4 and 5 (coatings belong to the group of "resistant"). In this regard, the practical use of coatings based on the Fe3Al intermetallide is recommended for protection against oxidation, corrosion, and gas-abrasive wear of components and assemblies in the heat power industry (heat exchanger pipes, catalytic converters, steam turbine blades, shut-off valves, etc.)

Improvement of methods for controlling power oil of cooling tower recycling water supply units at Rivne nuclear power plant

The relevance of the study is conditioned upon the fact that at nuclear power plants, water pumping units using energy oils are operated in the heat exchange equipment of power units. The diagnostic criteria of oils allow identifying defects in the operation of technological equipment. The purpose of the work – to increase the reliability of the operation of oil-filled power equipment by improving the monitoring of the physical and chemical properties of power oil TP-30. The main attention is devoted to increasing the reliability of the operation of oil-filled power equipment by improving the monitoring of the physical and chemical properties of TP-30 power oil. Experimental studies were conducted by chromatography, and gas and liquid extraction using appropriate laboratory equipment. When exploring the content of chemical elements in the segments of the thrust bearing of the cooling tower pumping unit, which is based on Sn, an increase in the content of copper Cu and Sb was observed, which exceeded the standard by an average of 1.2 and 1.1 times, respectively. Most of the analysed physical indicators of oil quality (water content, kinematic viscosity, flash point, acid number) did not demonstrate deviations from the standard values. Only an increase in the mass fraction of mechanical impurities by 0.0026% relative to the standard was noted during the incoming inspection of TP-30 oil. The results of the operational control of the oil in terms of a set of physical indicators fully complied with the established technological standards. The highest content of soluble gases in the oil (0.56% by volume) was recorded for propylene (C3 H6 ). It is recommended to use the relative content of soluble gases in Tp-30 oil to C3 H6 when identifying degradation processes. The absence of residuals of circulating power oil TP-30 in the surface waters of the Styr River during the operational event was established. Generalisations have been generalised about the necessity of expanding the diagnostic criteria for the quality of TP-30 oil, in particular, expanding the list of its physical indicators. In practical terms, the results obtained can be useful for monitoring the quality of other brands of petroleum oils in the systems of turbine units of nuclear power plants, which is important in terms of the safe operation of heat exchange equipment

IMPACT OF CATALYTIC FUEL ADDITIVE ON CLINKER PRODUCTION PROCESS

Industrial studies of the effect of supplying a liquid catalytic fuel additive to 4 clinker kilns operating according to the dry method on the quality characteristics of clinker, the operation of technological equipment and environmental indicators have been carried out. The supply of REDUXCO catalytic additive with a flow rate of at least 100 mg/t of fuel into the primary air channels of the furnace burner and the air supply channels to the calciner helped to reduce the specific energy consumption of fuel by 3.6–6.7% when using anthracite as fuel; for petroleum coke - by 3.4–3.6%; mixtures of coal and RDF - by 5.7%. An increase in the content of alite - the main component of clinker - by 0.46–0.9% and a decrease in the content of free calcium oxide by 0.9% as a result of an increase in temperature in the sintering zone due to the intensification of gas-phase combustion reactions. Experimental confirmations of the improvement of the stability of the clinker kiln operating modes and the reduction of the carbon monoxide content in the exhaust gases were obtained. PROSPECTS FOR DETECTING DEFECTS IN ROTATING ELECTRIC MACHINES ON THE BASIS OF THE ANALYSIS OF THEIR VIBRATION SIGNALS

Ensuring the reliability of the operation of technological lines and mechanisms is one of the main conditions for the safe and productive operation of technological equipment. And since one of the key elements of the vast majority of modern equipment and mechanisms are rotating electrical machines, the reliability of the latter largely determines the reliability of the system as a whole. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the prospects of using vibration signals to detect defects in rotating electrical machines. As a result of a statistical study conducted on the basis of studying the causes of emergency failures that occur during the operation of medium-power asynchronous electric motors based on the DTG "Energomash" and the analysis of literary sources, the most probable defects that occur during the operation of rotating electrical machines were identified. In particular, it was found that the most probable defects that occur during the operation of such equipment can be attributed to: rotor imbalance, bearing damage, asymmetry of the stator electromagnetic field and violation of the mechanical rigidity of the supporting structures. Based on the study, it was theoretically substantiated and experimentally confirmed that the most common types of defects that are typical for rotating electrical machines cause a significant vibration response. In this case, the vibration response, containing information about the existing defects of electrical machines, can be measured directly in the operating mode of the electrical machine without the need to intervene in the design of the latter. It was also shown that defects of various types that occur during the operation of rotating electrical machines are characterized by a relatively low severity in the early stages of defect development and selectivity, both in shape and in the frequency spectrum. Therefore, it is obvious that it is necessary to develop highly informative signs of the presence of defects of the considered type, characterized by increased severity and selectivity.

OXIDATION PROCESSES OF HIGH-ALLOYED ALLOYS OF WORKING LAYER AND THE INTERPHASE SURFACES OF BIMETALLIC PAIRS

Methods of improving the quality of regulation of technological parameters by combining various intelligent control algorithms in one automation system, which helps to reduce energy costs by 10-13%, are analyzed. It has been established that heating and ventilation systems have the highest energy consumption for indoor buildings (on average, more than 4,000 m3 of natural gas and almost 1,000 kWh of electricity are consumed per day for heating and ventilation in an industrial greenhouse. Correlation analysis of links between external disturbances and energy costs that ensure compliance with the technology of plant production, confirmed the hypothesis of conditions of uncertainty in the operation of industrial greenhouses are formed by random disturbances, incomplete information about the biological component, with linear correlation coefficients not exceeding r<0.35. both for forecasting energy costs and for the formation of energy efficient management strategies. Based on the use of fuzzy logic methods and genetic algorithm, models for finding and using optimal parameters of PI controller settings adapted to changes in the operating conditions of the automation system have been developed and studied. This provides better regulation in conditions of uncertainty, the time of regulation, over-regulation is reduced by two to three times. To create an energy-efficient microclimate management system in industrial greenhouses, operating in conditions of uncertainty, a neural network model for predicting the energy consumption of natural gas and electricity has been developed. The input parameters of the neural network forecasting model are: the value of external and internal air temperatures of the greenhouse, the value of relative humidity, the solar radiation absorbed by the greenhouse and the level of carbon dioxide in the greenhouse. The outputs of the forecasting model are the values of natural gas and electricity costs. The structural and functional scheme of the temperature and humidity control automation system in industrial greenhouses has been improved by combining intelligent algorithms for stabilizing the operation of technological equipment at the lower management level and optimizing energy costs by forecasting them at the upper level. The introduction of such a system saves up to 13% on natural gas for heating and up to 10% on electricity.

Modern mining enterprises engaged in development of the minerals are located in the regions of different conditions including in the regions of the Far North. For reducing the capital and operating costs, the management of these enterprises strives to optimize the technological processes for the raw materials extraction. These processes include ventilation of the underground mines. One of the ways to reduce capital costs in the mines with a flanking ventilation system is not to use the air heaters on the ventilation shafts due to their remoteness from the main industrial site of the mine and air supply shafts. In emergency conditions, when it is required to reverse the ventilation stream, the situations may arise when cold air starts flowing into the underground workings of the mine. The effect of negative temperatures of the air stream during reversal can have negative consequences associated with disruption of the operation of technological equipment, support of the ventilation shafts, and, also, affect the well-being and health of the miners during their evacuation. In this regard, it is required to conduct research on the thermophysical processes arising from the reversal of the ventilation stream, and to develop the appropriate preventive measures. The results of a study of the reverse mode of the mine ventilation in cold season in the absence of heating of the air stream entering the ventilation shaft are presented. Mathematical modeling was performed concerning change in the air temperature in the mine workings during reversal using AeroSet program. The main hazardous factors affecting the reversal of the air stream are highlighted, and the required measures are proposed aimed at compensating the negative consequences of the effect of cold air on the support and equipment in the shaft during ventilation.

An important place in the nuclear reactor of a nuclear power plant is the control of the tightness of the shells of the fuel elements of the nuclear reactor. Therefore, a review of existing methods of non-destructive testing of the tightness of fuel elements of fuel assemblies of a nuclear reactor of a nuclear power plant was conducted. Modern methods of control of tightness of shells of fuel elements allow to trace development of defect in a shell of fuel element and to reveal depressurization of fuel elements thereby preventing accidents. In connection with the single-circuit system of coolant circulation and in case of an accident by increasing the emission of radionuclides directly into the atmosphere, it is necessary to detect leaky fuel elements at nuclear power plants. In this regard, the analysis of modern methods of control of the tightness of the shell of the fuel element to detect the tightness of the shell of the fuel element is a topical issue that significantly increases the reliability and safety in the operation of a nuclear power plant. It is known that the interaction of the neutron flux with the shell of the fuel element causes corrosion processes on its surface with the formation of local inhomogeneities. The analysis of the considered methods of control of tightness of a fuel element showed that they are based on detection of percentage of radioactive substances and inert gases which are observed in the heat carrier after depressurization of a fuel element. It is established that the studied control methods do not allow to determine the criteria for depressurization or sealing of the shell of the fuel element. The question of equipping a nuclear power plant with modern methods of controlling the tightness of the shells of fuel elements that ensure the safe operation of technological equipment of a nuclear power plant, and have high degrees of reliability and efficiency in detecting emergencies in real time is open. A method of controlling damage to the outer and inner structure of the fuel element shell based on the use of a fractal geometry apparatus is proposed, which allows to indicate the degree of tightness of the fuel element in real time.

Neural Network Model for Control of Operating Modes of Crushing and Grinding Complex

This article investigates the application of neural network models to create automated control systems for industrial processes. We reviewed and analysed works on dispatch control and evaluation of equipment operating modes, and the use of artificial neural networks to solve problems of this type. It is shown that the main requirements for identification models are the accuracy of estimation and ease of algorithm implementation. It is shown that artificial neural networks meet the requirements for accuracy of classification problems, ease of execution and speed. We considered the structures of neural networks that can be used to recognize the modes of operation of technological equipment. Application of the model and structure of networks with radial basis functions and multilayer perceptrons for the tasks of identifying the mode of operation of equipment under given conditions is substantiated. The input conditions for the construction of neural network models of two types with a given three-layer structure are offered. The results of training neural models on the model of a multilayer perceptron and a network with radial basis functions are presented. The estimation and comparative analysis of models depending on model parameters is made. It is shown that networks with radial basis functions offer greater accuracy in solving identification problems. The structural scheme of the automated process control system with mode identification on the basis of artificial neural networks is offered.

Analysis of the energy intensity of the galvanic complex of machine-building production

Considered are the problems of energy efficiency of products of a large machine-building enterprise associated with the impossibility of regulating steam consumption and the seasonality of changes in energy consumption. The analysis of the consumption of energy resources by a typical large machine-building enterprise of small-scale and unit-type production is carried out. The reasons for the additional costs of the enterprise with centralized steam supply associated with condensate losses have been identified. It has been established that the most power-consuming is the galvanic complex. The reasons for the increased energy consumption of the galvanic complex are considered. The energy balance of the technological section - the galvanic complex, was compiled, reflecting the calculated thermal loads when heating the electrolyte and maintaining the thermal regime, depending on the operating time of the baths and the mass of the processed parts, taking into account the peculiarities of the operation of technological equipment. The most effective methods of energy supply have been determined depending on the load factor and the fuel and energy resource used for two typical baths of the galvanic complex. Three options of technological power supply are considered, depending on the load factor of the equipment and the technical possibility of its parallel-sequential connection. It was found that with all three schemes for connecting to alternative sources of heat supply, there is an increase in the energy efficiency of the use of fuel and energy resources, as well as a decrease in the cost of energy supply of technological processes in comparison with centralized steam supply. It was revealed that when organizing the operation of technological equipment in a parallel-sequential scheme, uniform efficient loading of steam generators and high energy efficiency of galvanic production are ensured. For the power supply of the galvanic complex, a combined scheme of heat supply by local heat sources from the power grid and gas steam generators is proposed, taking into account their fullest load.

Thick-walled high-pressure vessels are a fairly common type of technical device as part of technological equipment operated at various hazardous production facilities. Reliability indicators of pressure vessels and their change during operation largely determine the indicators of failure-free operation of technological equipment as a whole, and potential failures of pressure vessels are subject to consideration when conducting a risk analysis of the operating equipment. The article discusses probabilistic and statistical approaches to solving the problem of predicting the resource of pressure vessels with fatigue failure of the neck at the design and operation stages. For the design stage, a technique is presented for modeling the processes of nucleation and development of a high-cycle fatigue crack, as well as a technique for determining the type of law and quantitative indicators of the distribution of the resource of a pressure vessel by the condition of loss tightness. For the operation stage, a method is presented for predicting the further growth of a diagnosed fatigue crack, as well as a method for determining the type of law and quantitative indicators of the distribution of the residual life of a pressure vessel by the condition of loss tightness.

Effect of Ultrasonic Techniques on Welding Technologies

The article discusses selected physical properties of industrial ultrasonic equipment utilising the magnetostrictive or electrostrictive effect. Particular attention was paid to equipment enabling the ultrasonic welding of various metals and thermoplastics. The research involved the comparison of various designs and operation of technological equipment, taking into account selected energy, control and environmental aspects. Based on reference publications it was possible to determine and categorise general features concerning the application of ultrasonic technologies as well as to indicate factors responsible for the formation of imperfections during the ultrasonic welding process.

RESEARCH OF THE POTENTIAL FOR IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF TYPICAL ELECTRICAL DEVICES FOR THE APPLICATION OF SMART CONTROLLED MODES

The article considers the research questions of the potential to increase the efficiency of typical electrical equipment, in particular, on the example of compressor and pumping equipment of metallurgical production. Using the initial data actually belonging to a large metallurgical enterprise, calculations for the most typical modes of operation of technological equipment are made. The most potentially effective solutions are shown, the size of electric energy savings, payback period at a given level of investment, as well as the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions are determined.

METHODOLOGY OF DEVELOPMENT OF INTELLECTUAL ENERGY EFFICIENT SYSTEM OF CONTROL OF TEMPERATURE-HUMIDITY REGIME IN INDUSTRIAL HEAT

Methods of improving the quality of regulation of technological parameters by combining various intelligent control algorithms in one automation system, which helps to reduce energy costs by 10-13%, are analyzed. It has been established that heating and ventilation systems have the highest energy consumption for indoor buildings (on average, more than 4,000 m3 of natural gas and almost 1,000 kWh of electricity are consumed per day for heating and ventilation in an industrial greenhouse. Correlation analysis of links between external disturbances and energy costs that ensure compliance with the technology of plant production, confirmed the hypothesis of conditions of uncertainty in the operation of industrial greenhouses are formed by random disturbances, incomplete information about the biological component, with linear correlation coefficients not exceeding r<0.35. both for forecasting energy costs and for the formation of energy efficient management strategies. Based on the use of fuzzy logic methods and genetic algorithm, models for finding and using optimal parameters of PI controller settings adapted to changes in the operating conditions of the automation system have been developed and studied. This provides better regulation in conditions of uncertainty, the time of regulation, over-regulation is reduced by two to three times. To create an energy-efficient microclimate management system in industrial greenhouses, operating in conditions of uncertainty, a neural network model for predicting the energy consumption of natural gas and electricity has been developed. The input parameters of the neural network forecasting model are: the value of external and internal air temperatures of the greenhouse, the value of relative humidity, the solar radiation absorbed by the greenhouse and the level of carbon dioxide in the greenhouse. The outputs of the forecasting model are the values of natural gas and electricity costs. The structural and functional scheme of the temperature and humidity control automation system in industrial greenhouses has been improved by combining intelligent algorithms for stabilizing the operation of technological equipment at the lower management level and optimizing energy costs by forecasting them at the upper level. The introduction of such a system saves up to 13% on natural gas for heating and up to 10% on electricity.
