Financial analysis is a fundamental tool used to measure a company's financial condition and performance, particularly its profitability and operational efficiency. This study examines the applicability of financial analysis in railway system operations, specifically focusing on the Republic of Turkey State Railways Transportation Company. The study aims to validate the importance of financial analysis in the railway transportation sector and assess the company's financial condition and performance. The company's basic financial statements, such as the balance sheet and income statement, were analyzed to provide insights into its financial health regarding liquidity, debt, and profitability. Additionally, methods such as ratio analysis were employed to compare the financial performance with past years and to make inferences about potential future performance. The study's results indicate that while the company’s financial health is generally strong, there are areas where improvements can be made. Efforts to enhance operational efficiency and implement more effective cost-control measures are recommended to the company. The findings suggest that financial analysis significantly affect in the company’s strategic planning processes. In conclusion, this study has demonstrated the importance and applicability of financial analysis in railway system operations through the example of the company in question. Financial analysis can be used as a tool to help railway system enterprises understand their financial condition, make strategic decisions, and ensure long-term sustainability.
