Efficient and effective distribution management is a key factor in the success of a company's operations. PT Jimat Perkasa Farm, which is engaged in the processing of seaweed waste for animal feed blends, faces significant challenges in minimizing distribution costs. This research aims to implement Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM) and Modified Distribution (MODI) to achieve an optimal solution in reducing distribution costs. The results show that the application of VAM as the initial solution and MODI as the optimal solution is able to produce significant distribution cost savings. The total distribution cost can be minimized from IDR 5,400,000 per month to IDR 5,275,000 per month, which shows a savings of IDR 125,000 / by 2.31% per month. This efficiency in distribution not only reduces operational costs but also improves the timeliness and reliability of delivery, which ultimately improves customer satisfaction and the company's competitiveness in the market

Pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan dan Pengalaman Belanja terhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan pada Tokma Kondang

Tokma is a company operating in the retail sector. This research aims to analyze how much influence service quality and shopping experience have on customer satisfaction. This research uses a quantitative method, data collection is carried out by distributing questionnaires via Google Form to Tokma Kondang consumers. The data is then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques and the sampling method applied is Accidental Sampling using the Lemesshow formula to determine the number of samples. The number of samples was 120 visitors to Tokma Kondang. The results of this research show that service quality positively and significantly influences customer satisfaction by 7,001, the correlation coefficient of shopping experience on customer satisfaction shows an influence of 10,180, the correlation coefficient of service quality and shopping experience on customer satisfaction is 201,089 and analysis of service quality and shopping experience simultaneously influence customer satisfaction by 77.1%

Pengungkapan Kinerja Lingkungan Emisi Karbon Pada Perusahaan Farmasi Proper dan Non Proper di Indonesia

This research aims to determine the differences between PROFER and Non-PROFER regarding the disclosure of the carbon emissions environmental performance of pharmaceutical companies listed on the IDX for the 2019-2023 period. The population in this research is pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and having PROFER and Non-PROFER ratings in 2019-2023. Sampling was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method. The research results show that there is no market reaction to mergers and acquisitions which is indicated by the value of no difference in the disclosure of environmental performance of carbon emissions produced by PROFER and NON PROFER pharmaceutical companies on the IDX for the 2019-2023 period.

New challenges in European innovation partnerships: SOEs, POEs and foreign MNEs during crises

AbstractCooperation for innovation, not only enhances the innovative and economic performance of companies but also fosters growth and strengthens the resilience of firms in the realm of innovation activities. In this study, we delve into the cooperative activities of innovative Spanish companies with their European counterparts. We employ six logit models using panel data to scrutinize the impact of ownership on innovation cooperation and the determinants of collaboration across different phases of the business cycle, spanning from 2004 to 2016, which we divide into three sub-periods: the pre-crisis (2004–2007), the crisis (2008–2013), and the recovery (2014–2016). Throughout the businesses cycle, state-owned enterprises are the most prone to engage in cooperative innovation with European partners, while unaffiliated domestic firms are the least prone. Foreign subsidiaries clearly outperform unaffiliated domestic firms and slightly outperform domestic business groups in prosperous times, but do not outperform state-owned enterprises even during crises. The drivers of cooperation for innovation with European partners evolve over time, becoming particularly challenging during crises. The factors influencing cooperation with European universities exhibit distinct characteristics. The results contain policy and management implications.

Pengaruh Karakteristik Perusahaan Terhadap Audit Delay

The impact of firm attributes including size, subsidiaries, audit firm size, leverage, profitability, and audit fees on audit delay is investigated in this study. The financial accounts of the company must be submitted on schedule, but in 2022, a number of corporations have not submitted their reports on time despite having been granted a grace period. This is the focus of the study so it needs to be studied further. Panel regression is used in this study to test the hypothesis using 1,180 sample data from three sectors of companies listed between 2018 and 2022 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analysis's findings indicate that while firm size, subsidiaries, leverage, and audit fees have no effect on audit time, audit firm size and profitability do. This study contributes to academic research on company characteristics for reporting financial statements on time, especially in Indonesia. The results of this research can be used by users of financial reports in reviewing the effectiveness of company operations for continued investment and also useful for companies so that companies can be open about information and the accuracy of submitting financial reports. The new thing in this study is the use of samples of three company sectors that have the highest number of audit delay companies as the main focus of investors to invest their funds in these companies, so this study reflects the need for timeliness of financial reporting, especially for BEI listed companies.

The economic sustainability of Italian aquaculture farms: Who has the potential to start the blue transition?

The European policy objectives, aligned with the Green Deal, focus on strengthening the aquaculture sector’s resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability. In this regard, the present work explores whether aquaculture companies are prepared to embrace the blue transition and invest in new practices and technologies. The study examines the case of Italian aquaculture by analyzing the financial performance of various companies through Altman’s Z’ Score, classifying them based on their balance sheets from 2017 to 2021. This study supports the idea that financially stable companies have the economic potential to invest in a more sustainable future. The findings highlight that 80 % of Italian aquaculture companies are currently under financial stress, limiting their capacity to adopt new practices or technologies. These results open the debate for decision-makers about whether the priority should be the blue transition or the companies’ financial stability.

The Impact of Knowledge Management on Employee Performance in Knowledge Process Outsourcing Companies in Sri Lanka

Abstract In the modern business world, organizations strive for competitive advantage. This study examines the impact of knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation, knowledge capture and storage, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application on employee performance in Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) companies in Sri Lanka. The study adopted a quantitative approach, employing a structured online questionnaire distributed amongst the KPO industry employees. The data is analyzed using statistical methods such as correlation and multiple regression. According to the findings, knowledge management has a significant impact on employee performance in KPO companies in Sri Lanka. This result indicates a significant relationship between the selected knowledge management components - acquisition, creation, capture and storage, sharing, application and employee performance. However, challenges such as a lack of comprehensive knowledge management strategies, limited employee engagement, and cultural barriers are identified. The findings prove the need for KPO organizations in Sri Lanka to prioritize knowledge management strategies. The study contributes to the literature on knowledge management in the KPO industry.

The analysis of a causal model of learning organization on sustainable organizational performance of public IT companies in China: Knowledge management practices and innovation capability as multiple mediators

This research aims to empirically examine the role of learning organization practices in enhancing sustainable organizational performance, utilizing knowledge management and innovation capability as mediating variables. The study was conducted in public IT companies across China, which is a vital sector for driving innovation and economic growth. A mixed-methods approach was employed, with quantitative methods accounting for 70% and qualitative methods for 30% of the research. Purposive sampling was utilized to distribute questionnaires to 546 employees from 10 public IT companies. Statistical analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that learning organization practices significantly influence knowledge management practices (β = 0.785, p < 0.001) and innovation capability (β = 0.405, p < 0.001). Furthermore, knowledge management practices positively contribute to sustainable organizational performance (β = 0.541, p < 0.001), while innovation capability also has a positive effect (β = 0.143, p < 0.001). Moreover, knowledge management practices partially mediate the relationship between learning organization practices and sustainable performance, with a total effect of 0.788 (p < 0.001). The mediating role of innovation capability is also significant, with a total effect of 0.422 (p = 0.045). The study further includes qualitative in-depth interviews with 20 managers from 10 IT companies across five regions in China: East, South, West, North, and Central. Senior managers were selected through a stratified sampling method to ensure comprehensive representation by including both the largest and smallest companies in each region. These findings underscore the critical role of learning organizations in promoting sustainability through effective knowledge management and innovation capabilities within the IT sector.

Driving green: Financial benefits of carbon emission reduction in companies

This paper explores the relationship between carbon emissions reduction and corporate financial performance, leveraging a rich dataset of 14,866 observations from 2768 companies across 36 countries and regions, and 35 industries over the period 2002–2022. We find that carbon emissions reductions improve company financial performance, as measured by return on assets and return on equity, with this effect being even more pronounced for companies with higher carbon intensity. Additionally, country carbon regulations are positively associated with a company's financial performance, while higher ESG scores negatively impact it. Notably, we find no significant role for CSR reporting in driving financial gains. Overall, our findings suggest that companies can enhance financial performance by intensifying their carbon emission reduction efforts while also contributing to environmental stewardship. We recommend that businesses adopt tailored sustainability strategies that account for country, firm, and industry-specific factors to maximize these benefits across different regional and sectoral contexts.

Low-Cost IoT-Based Sensors Dashboard for Monitoring the State of Health of Mobile Harbor Cranes: Hardware and Soft-ware Description

A cost-effective IoT-based real-time data acquisition and analysis hardware system was developed to enhance the performance of the mobile harbor cranes using a combination of a cost-effective quality control monitoring sensor dashboard (proximity sensors, angle position sensor, weight sensor, vibration sensor, and wind sensor), embedded microcontroller (Arduino), and embedded computer (Raspberry Pi). Hardware was operated using a specially developed novel Quality Control and Data Acquisition Multiprocessing software (QC-DAS). The QC-DAS can automatically collect and save real-time data of the sensors in a large-capacity SD card, monitor the state of health of the hardware, and transmit the real-time data of the sensors and the working state of the crane to an IoT server. The novelty of the QC-DAS design is that each function is encapsulated in a predefined module that is "immersed" in a message transmission medium. Modules interact by sending and receiving various signals through this medium. Modularity makes system design simpler, faster, and flexible. Thanks to modularity, users may incorporate their data processing modules when new sensors are added to match the system's needs. Thanks to modularity the DC-DAS can operate quality control hardware for any mobile cranes. There are several constraints in the quality control data acquisition system used by the Damietta Port Authority in Damietta, Egypt, SESCO TRANS company which cause the loading and unloading process to be slowed down. As a result, the SESCO TRANS company upgraded its quality control data acquisition system using the QC-DAS. The hardware was deployed for six months, during which the collected data was used to verify the crane's performance. The vibration produced by the slewing of the crane was monitored and compared with the bearing fault frequency limits, during the operation the wind speed was monitored and compared with the critical wind speed to stop the crane operation automatically, and the payloads data of the six months was collected and was used to calculate the working efficiency of the load and unload process of the crane. The results demonstrated that while maintenance costs were decreased, the crane load/unload procedure was improved. The SESCO TRANS company crane operators approved the developed approach and appreciated the achieved results.

Strategic Collaborations and Performance of Oil Marketing Firms in Kenya

Purpose: Little attention has been paid to the effect of strategic collaboration on performance of oil marketing firms in Kenya. As a result, it is vital to investigate the effect of strategic collaboration on performance of oil marketing firms in Kenya. The study's particular aim was to investigate the impact of strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, franchising, and joint ventures on performance of oil marketing firms in Kenya. Four theoretical reviews are included in this research paper: Resource Based Theory, Transaction Cost Theory, Trust Theory and Dynamic Capability Theory. Methodology: Using descriptive research approaches, this study evaluated the data and offered findings. Over a certain time period, data was collected from oil marketing firms in Kenya. The research relied on primary data gathered via structured questionnaires as well as secondary data. The study's target population was Kenya's oil marketing firms in Kenya. The study also used stratified random sampling. The study's data was collected using Google forms and sent through email. The questionnaire data was sorted, classified, and analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS). Findings: finding demonstrate that savvy partnerships among Kenyan oil marketers improve performance. Businesses appreciate shared storage, cooperative networks, and specialized service sharing for increasing operational efficiency and competitiveness. Statistical analysis reveals that these partnerships influence company performance, accounting for 81.5% of the variance, with a strong correlation coefficient (R = 0.903) and a substantial ANOVA F-value. Unique contribution to theory, Policy and Publication: To obtain additional information and draw meaningful conclusions about the variables of interest, descriptive studies was conducted where survey was used to provide a snapshot of the population. Tables was used to display the data. This study will be useful to academics and researchers in finance and economics.

The Influence of TAM, Perceived Risk, and Trust on the Financial Performance of Multi-finance Companies Utilizing GPS Tracker Applications

This study investigates the influence of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), perceived risk, and trust on the financial performance of multi-finance companies utilizing GPS tracker applications. As technology adoption in the multi-finance sector grows, understanding these factors becomes crucial for optimizing financial outcomes. A quantitative research design involved a cross-sectional survey of multi-finance companies using GPS tracker applications. Data were collected from 150 managers and financial officers through structured questionnaires. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to analyze the relationships between TAM constructs (perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness), perceived risk, trust, and financial performance. The results indicate that perceived ease of use and usefulness significantly enhance trust in GPS tracker applications, positively impacting financial performance. Conversely, perceived risk negatively moderates the relationship between trust and financial performance.

This paper provides an overview of AA.co.Store, is a fashion business founded in 2021. Despite being in the development stage, AA.co.Store can compete with other local brands in Sidoarjo. To maintain and attract more consumers, the company focuses on improving product quality. The success of a business is measured by the number of products produced and their competitiveness in the market. Product development is crucial to increase competitiveness and attract future consumers. The quality of the product and promotional activities significantly impact customer satisfaction. Pricing and distribution also influence purchasing decisions. To compete with competitors, AA.co.Store needs a comprehensive strategy. Research suggests that product quality, price, customer satisfaction, and brand image affect consumer loyalty and satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to improve AA.co.Store's product development using an IPA-QFD-based marketing mix aligned that very important for Development Goals (SDGs) of the store to compete with other local brands in Sidoarjo. The results of this study were AA.co.Store service quality, it can be concluded that Customer satisfaction with AA.co.Store services is fulfilled, which is indicated by the results of the questionnaire using the SERVQUAL method which does not show a negative value for the AA.co.Store brand when compared to other brands. There are three service quality attributes that need to be prioritised for improvement at AA.co.Store, namely the price of t-shirts that are more competitive than other brands, the condition of the parking lot, and cleanliness. There are several steps that can be taken to improve service quality based on technical needs, including: a.) changing the organisational strategy on company performance, especially in the operational section, b.) increasing the stock of materials to meet the number of orders, c.) providing training and development on existing SOPs, and d.) repairing and maintaining existing equipment in the company.

Procedural Fairness in Budgeting and Employee Performance in The Context of Information Sharing

Information sharing and procedural fairness are crucial for achieving business objectives through employee performance. The results of this research will help firm management make decisions about how to improve employee and company performance by upholding procedural fairness and increasing information sharing between superiors and subordinates. This research aims to examine the effect of procedural fairness on information sharing, the effect of information sharing on employee performance, and the mediating role of information sharing on the effect of procedural justice on employee performance. This study uses primary data collected through questionnaires. The sample consisted of 108 sub-manager level employees (services, trade, and manufacturing) selected based on a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using the regression method. Data analysis findings indicate that procedural fairness affects employee performance, which is mediated by information sharing. If procedural justice is applied, communication will be better, especially regarding relevant information; this can improve employee . As demonstrated by empirical studies of Indonesian companies, there is currently no research that reveals the relationship between procedural fairness, information sharing, and employee performance. performance. However, cross-sectional studies have flaws because they frequently lack evidence of causal links between the variables they study. According to empirical studies on Indonesian organizations, no research has demonstrated a connection between procedural fairness, information sharing, and employee performance. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that procedural fairness and information sharing positively related to employee performance.

Mascot Design of Zara and Vano as a Marketing Strategy for Zabava Labs

The development of online games is in line with advances in computer and network technology, including Web3 which includes the use of Blockchain, smart contracts and decentralization. One company operating in this field is Zabava Labs, located in Singapore, with their flagship product, Sentinel Haven. Although Zabava Labs is active on social media, especially Instagram, the visual image of their feed does not represent the company effectively, which results in low audience engagement and interest. This research aims to design a character mascot that is attractive to young gamers in Indonesia to improve the image and interaction of Zabava Labs on social media. The designed mascot is expected to be able to build the company brand by providing a lasting impression, facilitating effective communication with the audience, and increasing brand recognition in the market. Through a creative and innovative design approach, this mascot will become a visual element that is not only attractive, but also reflects a strong and memorable brand.

ESG SCORES, EARNINGS MANAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM POLAND

The paper's main aim is to investigate the relationship between the ESG activities scores and profitability metrics of 33 public companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. By utilizing the Refinitiv methodology, we answer whether a company's environmental, social and governance performance perspectives positively affect the ROA, ROE and ROC ratios or whether there is a negative relationship. A secondary objective of the research is to investigate the relationship between profitability and the magnitude of aggregate-based earnings management in the tested sample. The moderating effect of earnings manipulation on the links between ESG performance and a company's profitability metrics is a research gap that has not been well-studied to date.This research demonstrates contradictory results: a positive relationship between the social dimension of ESG activities and the financial performance of companies was observed regarding ROE and ROC ratios. The negative impact of the environmental pillar rank on the ROA ratio was captured only in selected regression analyses. The governance pillar score did not statistically affect the tested profitability metrics. On the other hand, we gathered evidence that public companies with a high range of non-financial disclosures tend to alter earnings via accruals, and discretionary accruals statistically affect the ROA, ROE and ROC ratios. This finding contrasts previous research claiming that the earnings management phenomenon is a typical agency problem and that the policy of non-mandatory disclosures following the ESG assumptions could constrain the asymmetry of information and managerial information advantages.

Comparison Performance Analysis of HDD, SSD and NVME for OLTP Database Server

Databases are an essential component of life in modern society. The database has become an online Transaction Processing (OLTP) operational support company. This study discusses the storage configuration in a virtual server database for OLTP Database with a benchmark against three storage configurations for four databases: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB for Windows Server virtualization. Benchmarks using TPC-C to get the best performance from all three configurations have been tested. The results of this study show that the storage configuration of HDD as a virtual disk drive OS and NVME as a virtual disk drive database get better performance as online transaction processing (OLTP) compared to HDD as a virtual disk drive OS and HDD or SSD as a virtual disk drive database. Using the TPC-C benchmark, the study tested the performance of four databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB) in various virtual storage configurations. The results of 36 experiments involving different numbers of virtual users (10, 50, and 100) showed that a hybrid configuration that used HDDs for the operating system and NVME for database storage provided the best performance. On SQL Server, SSD configurations show better results for smaller user loads. The results suggest that the combination of HDD and NVME is the optimal configuration for most databases in OLTP tasks, and it provides useful guidance in efficient storage investment decision-making. Further research is expected to be able to conduct tests.

Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and Performance Among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) (From an RBV Perspective)

The research aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) on the performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the RBV perspective. RBV says that to achieve sustainable competitive advantage requires resources, these resources can be tangible or intangible resources, are heterogeneous, not perfectly distributed and must meet the VRIN (Valuable), Rare (rare), imitable framework (not easily imitated) and In-imitable (Not replaceable). Entrepreneurial orientation (EO) has been identified as one of the most significant resources that determines company performance and competitive advantage. The concept of EO manifestation consists of innovation, proactiveness, autonomy, competitive aggressiveness, and risk taking. As a result, companies with high EO are considered more innovative in terms of product and market combinations, take bold strategic decisions to seize new opportunities, and stay ahead of the competition. They are also known to favor high-risk, high-reward activities. These behavioral patterns are intangible and distributed among members of the organization, so they are rare, valuable, and cannot be imitated or replaced. Also, it strengthens the valuable, rare, non-substitutable and non-imitable elements of EO resources. A company's EO is unique to that company, so it becomes a source of performance improvement and sustainable competitive advantage.

IMPACTS OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM VIETNAM

Today, with the Industrial Revolution 4.0, digital transformation is taking place strongly in many different fields. Digital transformation can bring a competitive advantage to enterprises. However, enterprises also spend a lot of money to implement digital transformation. Therefore, whether or not digital transformation increases company performance is always of concern to company leaders. This paper aims to analyse the impact of Digital Transformation on Financial Performance, including Revenue, Profit and ROA in Vietnam. Digital Transformation is represented by the variables Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things. We used Google Forms to survey 314 leaders of enterprises in Vietnam. Then, we used descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis to analyse the data. Research results show that Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence positively impact financial performance. Enterprises that apply digital transformation have better financial performance than other enterprises. In contrast, there is no connection between the Internet of Things and financial performance. In addition, Firm type and Firm size also affect financial performance. FDI enterprises have higher performance than others, and more giant-sized enterprises have higher performance than others.

Analysis of the Influence of Price and Product on Purchasing Decisions Mediated by Brand Image at Maybank Indonesia Finance Lampung Branch

Maybank Indonesia Finance is a financing company operating in Indonesia. In this research, there are various factors that can underlie consumer purchasing decisions. Researchers will focus on price, product and brand image as factors that can encourage consumer purchasing decisions. The existence of these various factors made researchers interested in conducting research entitled "Price and Product Analysis of Purchasing Decisions Mediated by Brand Image at Maybank Indonesia Finance Lampung Branch" as the title of this research. This type of research is causal research because it is research that looks for relationships - effects (causal relationships). The population in this research is all Maybank Indonesia Finance customers. In this research, the samples that will be taken are Maybank Indonesia Finance customers at the Bandar Lampung branch. The minimum sample size is 135 samples. Data was collected using a questionnaire, and analysis was carried out using Linear Regression and Path Analysis. From the research findings, the four variables namely price, product, brand image, and purchase decision, are within the "good" range. This indicates that these factors are perceived positively by Maybank Finance customers in Bandar Lampung. The analysis also shows that there is an influence among these variables, both partially and through mediation, affirming the importance of interrelated relationships among them. Therefore, it is recommended for the company to pay attention to good pricing policies, design products that meet consumer needs, and develop a strong brand image to drive consumer purchase decisions for Maybank Finance Indonesia products.
