Pengembangan Aplikasi Pemesanan Makanan Berbasis Web Mobile Menggunakan Metode Prototyping pada KAF Fried Chicken

The development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in terms of ordering food. The design of a food ordering application at the KAF Chicken outlet is very necessary to reduce the constraints of conventional systems. The problem commonly faced by various culinary businesses is the absence of an automated system to record and manage orders, customer data, and financial reports, which often results in inaccuracy and slows down the process. This study aims to design a mobile web-based food ordering application that can facilitate culinary business management in ordering, payment, and transaction data management. The application uses the spiral method that allows gradual development and uses the Express Js Framework and Mongodb as data management. Application features include menu management, online ordering, and transaction recording. Based on the test results, this system can help control transaction data and manage reports accurately and quickly. The design of this application can also be expected to contribute positively to improving the operational efficiency of the culinary business, especially in managing orders and transaction data.

Social movements boosted online orders for US Black-owned restaurants after the murder of George Floyd.

We use the rise of Black Lives Matter and the sentiment of racial sympathy to examine the interplay between the social movement and citizens' sympathetic actions in supporting Black people. Using detailed food order flow information from one of the largest online food delivery platforms in the USA, we find that the total number of food orders from Black-owned restaurants increased by 39% relative to nearby non-Black-owned restaurants in the 140 days following the murder of George Floyd on the basis of a difference-in-difference model. The platform company's strategic traffic allocation acted as an accelerator, enhancing the sympathetic responses of individuals, but it did not drive the entire surge in food orders. Protests resulting in severe injuries and those linked to demands for defunding the police diminished the positive sympathetic responses, highlighting a potential risk associated with protests. Our study provides large-scale, micro-level evidence that social movements and increased sympathy can foster collective actions to support marginalized communities.

Penerapan Model Rational Unified Process (RUP) Dalam Membangun Aplikasi Promosi dan Penjualan Berbasis Web (Studi Kasus: Toko Mie Ayam “Neng Kene Kiyeh”)

This research discusses the application of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) Model in thedevelopment of web-based promotion and sales applications, with a case study at the Chicken Noodle Shop“Neng Kene Kiyeh”. The purpose of this research is to design and implement applications that can increasethe efficiency of promotion and sales of chicken noodle products through digital platforms. The RUPmethod was chosen because of its iterative approach and focus on user needs, allowing for more structuredand controlled software development. The RUP model consists of four main phases: inception, elaboration,construction, and transition. In the inception phase, a needs identification and feasibility study are conductedto ensure that the application to be developed matches the business needs of the store. The elaboration phaseinvolves more in-depth analysis and system design, including use case modeling, risk analysis, andapplication architecture design. In the construction phase, application development is carried out with aniterative approach, allowing for improvements and adjustments based on user feedback. The transitionphase involves application testing and end-user training, as well as full system implementation. The result ofthis research is a web application that has main features such as product catalog, online ordering system, inventory management, and integrated digital promotion. The implementation of this application is expectedto increase the visibility of Chicken Noodle Shop “Neng Kene Kiyeh” in the digital market, simplify theordering process for customers, and increase sales. The trial shows that this application can function asexpected, and provides significant benefits in the store's operational processes. The conclusion of thisresearch is that the application of the RUP model can be an effective approach in building web-basedpromotional and sales applications, with a focus on meeting user needs and improving businessperformance.

Customers' sentiment on food delivery services: An Arabic text mining approach

The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift in organizations' strategies toward innovative online services. Customer reviews on platforms for online ordering and delivery are a vital source of information about how well a business is performing. Businesses that provide food delivery services (FDS) seek to leverage consumer input to locate areas where customer satisfaction could be raised. Sentiment analysis (SA) has been the subject of an enormous amount of English-language research. Despite Arabic's increasing popularity as a writing language on the Internet, not much study has been conducted on sentiment analysis of Arabic up to this point, with a limited number of publicly available resources for Arabic SA such as datasets and lexicons. The present study collects FDS-related reviews in Arabic to conduct extensive emotion mining, taking advantage of Natural Language Processing, feature selection, and Machine Learning techniques to elicit personal judgments, identify polarity, and recognize customers’ feelings in the FDS domain. To demonstrate that the proposed approach is suitable for analyzing human perceptions of FDS, we designed and carried out excessive experiments that assess the utility of each phase. Our highest categorization accuracy was 90 % using Mutual Information with the SVM classifier. The study's findings provide various managerial insights for improving their plans and service delivery, as well as revealing the main reasons for consumer complaints. It also demonstrates how future academics might harness the power of online business reviews in Arabic using a variety of text-mining approaches.

Implementing Online Ordering Systems for Small Culinary Businesses: A Case Study of Nasi Cia

In the era of culinary industry growth and digital transformation, the challenges for startups like Nasi Cia in managing rice orders are increasingly complex. In the environment of SMA Xaverius 1, the surge in visitors often results in problems in managing orders efficiently. The manual system used today proved insufficient to handle the increasing order load. The problem of long queues also affects the customer experience and can lead to losing potential customers. Lack of sales data management is also a problem that must be solved. To overcome these problems, an online ordering system was built and designed using the extreme programming method. With this application, Nasi Cia switches to a more effective ordering system with the aim of improving flexibility, responsiveness, and service quality, as well as reducing dependence on expensive food delivery applications such as Gojek and Grab. The results and conclusions of this research show that this application has been successfully built with the extreme programming development method. Due date-oriented picker routing, an efficient exact solution algorithm, and its application to pick-from-store omnichannel retailing

The advent of e-commerce and omnichannel retailing has sparked renewed interest in picker routing in warehouses. This paper presents two significant methodological advances in this well-established field. First, it is a well-known fact that the parallel-aisle layout of warehouses, as opposed to general graphs, allows for polynomial-time solutions of the Traveling Salesman Problem. We show that the parallel-aisle structure can also be exploited when pickers are tasked with visiting storage positions associated with specific due dates. We establish that picker routing in warehouses, subject to soft due date constraints, is a binary NP-hard problem. We also present an exact branch-and-bound algorithm with pseudo-polynomial time complexity. This algorithm effectively solves instances with up to 60 picking positions and five cross aisles within a few seconds while guaranteeing optimality. Second, for even larger pick lists, we demonstrate the successful integration of our algorithm into a real-time framework. This approach allows us to avoid extended solution times that would otherwise delay the picker’s departure, without compromising the quality of the solution. To illustrate the practical relevance of these two methodological innovations, we apply our routing algorithm to the context of pick-from-store omnichannel retailing. By assigning due dates to critical products, we significantly reduce stockout occurrences for online customers. These stockouts occur when the stock level, initially deemed sufficient to confirm an online order, is depleted by walk-in customers before the picker reaches the relevant shelf.

Exploring the influence of online restaurant promotions on consumer behavioral intentions

PurposeConsumer behavior is evolving rapidly due to the increasing role of technology in daily life. Online food ordering has emerged as a key channel in this changing landscape. This paper investigates the relationships between online promotions, consumer skepticism, information sharing on social media and the intention to purchase food and beverages through online delivery services.Design/methodology/approachMeasures were developed based on a review of existing literature. Data from 402 participants were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).FindingsThe study reveals that online promotions significantly impact consumers' sharing of restaurant posts. Additionally, consumer skepticism about online food sales affects both their sharing behavior and their intention to purchase online. Engagement in sharing restaurant posts online is a strong predictor of online food purchasing intentions.Practical implicationsThe findings offer valuable insights for restaurant operators, policymakers and technology developers in the competitive online food delivery sector. They emphasize the importance of implementing innovative promotions and crafting appealing food presentations. These strategies can accelerate customer decision-making, attract new customers and contribute to market expansion and customer base sustainability.Originality/valueThis research provides significant insights for restaurant owners and contributes to the limited literature on online promotions, consumer skepticism and information sharing in the restaurant industry. It also lays the groundwork for future studies aimed at deepening understanding in this field.

Research on Chinese Legal Regulation of Internet Violence in the Internet Era

The rapid development of network and communication technology has given rise to an open information society with free dissemination of information. The development of the Internet has provided a realistic possibility for the realization of the free dissemination of information, but at the same time, the vigorous development of the Internet and the application of various technical means have also posed challenges to China's traditional social governance. In recent years, various online chaos has emerged in Chinese society, such as the implementation of online human flesh searches, the creation and dissemination of online rumors, and the launch of online verbal abuse. This not only seriously infringes on the personal rights and interests of citizens, disrupts online order, but also has many negative effects on creating a harmonious and orderly social environment. Therefore, it is imperative for China to rely on legal means to govern online violence.

From Screen to Scraps: Online Food Waste Behavioural Intention Among Young Adults Shoppers in Malaysia

Food waste has become a worldwide problem for many years, and Malaysia's high levels of waste are making climate change worse and putting food security at risk. The study explores the factors influencing food waste intention during online ordering among young adults in the Klang Valley using a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire, resulting in 312 valid responses from young adults who have utilised at least one online delivery app. The data were analysed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings reveal that attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control, and price consciousness significantly influence the behavioural intention to reduce food waste, with attitude having the highest mean score. These insights offer policy recommendations for governments, restaurants, meal-ordering platforms, and consumers to efficiently minimise food waste.

PURCHASING BEHAVIOR AND SATISFACTION OF FAST-FOOD RESTAURANT CUSTOMERS IN CALBAYOG CITY

This paper examined the relationship between satisfaction and purchasing behavior of fast-food res­taurant customers in Calbayog City. In addition, this study also aimed to identify the respondents' profiles and the different factors influencing their satisfaction and purchasing behavior. The researchers used a descriptive-correlational research design to conduct this study. The researchers used a structured questionnaire adopted from a previous study. The questionnaires were provided to 384 participants in Calbayog City. The gathered data were analyzed using SPSS 29. The analyzed data by the researchers showed that family members, dine-in or online order options, and restaurant menus influence the purchasing behavior of fast-food restaurant cus­tomers. On the other hand, the satisfaction of fast-food restaurant customers in Calbayog City was influenced by menu options, payment methods, online application or website navigation, food placement technology, customers’ testimonials, friends and family recommendations, and services. The study revealed no significant relationship between satisfaction and purchasing behavior of restaurant customers in Calbayog City.

The article is dedicated to exploring the unique aspects and primary trends in the digital transformation of hotel and restaurant services. It has been demonstrated that the increasing competition, the drive for operational efficiency, and the enhancement of customer service quality are key drivers for the adoption of digital technologies in the hotel and restaurant industry. Understanding and meeting evolving consumer expectations, such as the preference for online ordering, swift transaction processing, and personalized service, is also crucial in this digital shift. It has been established that under the influence of digitalization processes in all spheres of life, modern restaurants are actively implementing digital technologies, which allow the automation and optimization of most operational processes. Despite the growth of digital activity, domestic restaurants have yet to achieve the same pace of digitalization as other industries or similar enterprises in specific global contexts. This is evidenced by the insufficiently high share of electronic sales (about 12%) and the low implementation of BIG DATA technologies (8.9%) in the management and analytics of hotel and restaurant businesses. Research has revealed that several digitalization tools are being rapidly integrated into restaurant services, including digital marketing, the development of digital food delivery platforms (FoodTech), automated management systems, and interactive technologies. The digital transformation of business processes in food service establishments not only enables swift adaptation to market changes but also significantly enhances the competitiveness of the restaurant business. It is argued that the effectiveness of hotel and restaurant service digitalization processes depends on the choice of the most optimal balance between software tools and digital instruments and the authentic characteristics of each restaurant, the target customer base, their tastes and preferences, and the image strategy of positioning in the food service market. Enhancing Operational Efficiency and Service Delivery through a Robotic Dispensing System: A Case Study from a Retail Pharmacy in Brazil.

Drug dispensing in retail pharmacies typically involves several manual tasks that often lead to inefficiencies and errors. This is the first published quality improvement study in Latin America, specifically in Brazil, investigating the operational impacts of implementing a robotic dispensing system in a retail pharmacy. Through observational techniques, we measured the time required for the following pharmacy workflows before and after implementing the robotic dispensing system: customer service, receiving stock, stocking inventory, separation, invoicing, and packaging of online orders for delivery. Time savings were observed across all workflows within the pharmacy, notably in receiving stock and online order separation, which experienced 70% and 75% reductions in total time, respectively. Furthermore, customer service, stocking, invoicing, and packaging of online orders, also saw total time reductions from 36% to 53% after implementation of the robotic dispensing system. This study demonstrates an improvement in the pharmacy's operational efficiency post-implementation of the robotic dispensing system. These findings highlight the potential for such automated systems to streamline pharmacy operations, improve staff time efficiency, and enhance service delivery.

Rancang Bangun Sistem Pemesanan Menu Pada Balen Coffee Kota Madiun Menggunakan Metode Extreme Programming

Balen Coffee is a place that sells food and drinks with a café concept. The sales system currently used is coming directly to the place (dine-in) and using online applications such as grabfood and gofood. However, instead of having to order via GrabFood or GoFood, some customers choose to order via WhatsApp admin and then pick up their order when it is finished. This happens because they feel a little burdened by the cost of shipping orders because if they go through Grabfood or GoFood, sometimes it is not commensurate with the total purchase. This also has an impact on Balen Coffee's lack of online sales. The aim of this research is to overcome problems that arise, namely to provide a platform that is expected to alleviate customer problems in online ordering and can increase online sales at Balen Coffee. The development method used in developing this system is the Extreme Programming method. This system was built using the PHP programming language, the database uses MySQL using the Laravel framework. This research produces a menu ordering system at Balen Coffee, Madiun City, which provides the appearance and access rights for customers and admins. The menus on the website run normally and do not experience errors or bugs. In accessing the website, customers and admins do not experience problems so it is easy to use.

TakeMeHome: A Novel Method for Reaching Previously Untested People Through Online Ordering and Self-Collect HIV and STI Testing.

Despite national testing guidelines, rates of testing for HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and hepatitis C remain lower than recommended for men who have sex with men in the United States. To help address this, the TakeMeHome (TMH) program was started in March 2020 by Building Healthy Online Communities, a consortium of public health organizations and dating apps, to work with health departments to increase access to HIV testing for men who have sex with men on dating apps. Users of participating dating apps were sent messages about opportunities for testing with self-collected specimens through TMH. Program users were eligible to receive test kits if they lived in a participating zip code and were aged at least 18 years. Users who were interested in testing could order kits to be mailed to them for laboratory-based testing of HIV, hepatitis C, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and/or syphilis, depending on risk and availability in their zip code. Orders were sent via application programming interface to Molecular Testing Labs for fulfillment; kits were provided at no cost to the program user. Within approximately 24 hours of order receipt, Molecular Testing Labs mailed program users a kit with required collection supplies, directions, and a link to a video instruction for self-collection. Program users received an automated email after testing was complete with a link to access results through their online account. Individuals with positive results on any of the relevant tests were directed to additional information and to local providers for linkage to additional testing or treatment, depending on local protocols. The positivity rate of specimens processed through TMH was 1.4% for HIV, 0.6% for hepatitis C, and 2.9% for all STIs combined. The per-person positivity rate was 15.3% across all STIs. The TMH program demonstrates that self-collected laboratory-processed testing is feasible and effective at identifying new HIV and STI cases.

Based on this case, this research conducts sustainable production technology and designs to makes an automatic work material feeding system on an electro-pneumatic cutting grinding machine. This study aims to design, as well as create a feeding system for automatic work control materials on an electro-pneumatic cutting grinding machine. The method used in this study is the design method by designing and manufacturing directly, based on the condition of the electro-pneumatic cutting grinding machine. The manufacturing process starts from identifying working drawings and components to be used using existing tools and machines, placing online orders, and using them from the market or other components. Pengembangan Inovasi Produk, Marketing Strategy, dan Rebranding Plan UMKM Warung Moro Wareg, Kabupaten Kediri

Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in the Indonesian economy, but face various challenges, both from internal and external factors. Marketing that is less than optimal is one of the common problems. Product image and innovation are the keys to achieving consumer satisfaction. This research aims to design product innovation, marketing strategies and rebranding to increase consumer interest in the MSME case study, Warung Moro Wareg in Kediri Regency. The research uses primary data obtained through observation, interviews with stall owners, and questionnaires distributed to consumers aged 20-54 years in Ngasem District, Kediri Regency. Analysis was carried out using the SWOT, IFAS, EFAS and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) matrices. The results of the SWOT analysis show the strengths of a variety of menus and strategic locations, while weaknesses include a lack of workers and limited operational hours. Opportunities are factory worker customers and online ordering, while threats are competition and menu imitation. IFAS and EFAS analysis identified Warung Moro Wareg's greatest strengths and opportunities. QSPM assesses the strategy of "rebranding without losing the taste of the food" as a top priority with the highest score on the Total Attractiveness Score (TAS). With this strategy, Warung Moro Wareg can strengthen its product image and compete better in the market.

Overview of online pharmacy regulations in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf cooperation council countries and their impact on online pharmacy service providers in Saudi Arabia: a qualitative analysis.

Laws and regulations are needed to regulate the growing online pharmacy (OP) services. The main objective of this work was to provide an overview of the laws and regulations for OP services in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. In addition, the perception of how these laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia (SA) affect the online ordering of medications and health-related products from national and international OPs was explored. A secondary data collection through emails and a qualitative descriptive analysis was used to gain insight into the OP regulations in the GCC countries. Then, a qualitative study was carried out with semi-structured interviews to investigate the impact of these regulations on the practice and the market from the OP service providers' perspective. The interviews were carried out with a sample of major OP service providers in SA, to represent the GCC countries. During the interviews, multiple open-ended questions were used to explore opinions about the OP regulations and how these regulations affected the practice. The interviews were then transcribed and thematically analysed. Responses were mainly received from regulators in SA, Bahrain, Oman and United Arab Emirates (UAE). SA and UAE allow for offering of OP services as add-on service for existing community pharmacy, while UAE also allows for standalone OP providers. SA, Bahrain, and Oman allow online ordering of both over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription-only medications (POM) from international OP; a prescription is required for POM and quantities allowed should be no more than 3months' supply in case of SA and Oman while this was not specified in case of Bahrain. Invoice of purchase was also required for any POM to be released from customs in SA and Bahrain but not in Oman and UAE. Controlled medications were prohibited to be ordered online in SA, UAE, and Bahrain while it was allowed in Oman if the prescription was issued within 6-month, and the quantity dispensed was for 1month only. Apart from online ordering of medications in these countries, no specific regulations existed to regulate ordering of other health-related products from local or international OPs. Whether Kwait and Qatar have regulations for OP could not be established due to lack of response. Two of the four interviewed representatives of OP service providers in SA were not aware of the existence of specific regulations for OP services. The representatives who were aware of these regulations were satisfied with them and found them beneficial for their business and for the patients at the same time. However, representatives raised concerns regarding the enforcement of regulations on international OP providers. The existing regulations for online ordering of medications are somewhat comparable between the GCC countries, with no specific regulations for ordering of other health-related products from local or international OPs. In SA, there is limited awareness of the existing regulations for OP services by providers. Nevertheless, the need for detailed regulations on certain aspects of OP services was highlighted, such as regulations for international OPs and importing medications for personal use.

Perancangan Aplikasi Penjualan Furniture Berbasis Android

Furniture has high added value and significant global competitiveness, largely due to the diversity of natural raw materials available in Indonesia, such as wood, rattan, and bamboo, as well as distinctive and high-quality designs. This advantage is supported by the skills and competence of the available human resources, making Indonesian furniture superior to products from other countries. Product quality is a key element in winning market competition, as it impacts customer satisfaction and loyalty. Masnur Joglo, a furniture company located on Jl. Muara Karya, specializes in producing various types of furniture from high-quality woods such as super mahogany and red teak. However, the purchasing system, which requires customers to visit the store directly and manually record prices, results in inefficiencies in terms of time and transportation costs. Customers often need to visit multiple stores to find the desired product, which is an inefficient process. To address these challenges, this study proposes the development of an Android-based sales application as a solution. This application is designed to expand Masnur Joglo's market reach and facilitate online ordering of furniture products, anytime and anywhere. The study aims to design and develop an Android-based sales information system that can enhance operational efficiency and streamline the sales process while better meeting customer needs. The application development method employs the waterfall model and uses MySQL and Firebase databases.

Good service to customers is the main key to success in business competition in the printing sector. By providing good service, customers will feel happy and with good service, of course, customers will always believe in continuing to use the products produced by the company. LFC Digital Printing is a company that serves and is engaged in Digital Printing, Printing, Merchandise, and Advertising. This company gets many online orders every day, especially online orders made by customers who are already members of the company. Ordering online at LFC Digital Printing is still using the Whatsapp chat application, which is quite a hassle because of the many chats from other customers. Based on these problems, it is necessary to create an integrated system from the customer with the LFC Digital printing company, namely "LFC Digital Printing Information System (Online Ordering Case Study) Web-Based on CV. LFC Multimedia Grafindo” in which there is an online ordering feature. So that with this system, it can meet the needs of customer orders more quickly and more efficiently. The author built this system designed using ERD and UML and using the PHP and MySql programming languages ​​as the database.
