The present paper deals with the lacunary interpolation problem called the mixed values problem or (0, 3; 0, 2) problem for which known data points are function values at all the points, third derivatives at even knots, and second derivatives at odd knots of the unit interval I = [0,1]. For this problem, we obtained an interpolating function. The paper is divided into two parts, where we have shown that the spline function exists and is convergent.

Odd knot invariants from quantum covering groups

We show that the quantum covering group associated to osp(1|2n) has an associated colored quantum knot invariant \`a la Reshetikhin-Turaev, which specializes to a quantum knot invariant for osp(1|2n), and to the usual quantum knot invariant for so(1+2n). We then show that these knot invariants are the same, up to a change of variables and a constant factor depending on the knot and weight.

Splitting algorithms for the wavelet transform of first-degree splines on nonuniform grids

For the splines of first degree with nonuniform knots, a new type of wavelets with a biased support is proposed. Using splitting with respect to the even and odd knots, a new wavelet decomposition algorithm in the form of the solution of a three-diagonal system of linear algebraic equations with respect to the wavelet coefficients is proposed. The application of the proposed implicit scheme to the point prediction of time series is investigated for the first time. Results of numerical experiments on the prediction accuracy and the compression of spline wavelet decompositions are presented.
