Inventory and fulfillment of customer orders are more controlled. Based on these problems the researcher uses a methodological method, namely the Unified Approach (UA) UA, which is an object-oriented development methodology that combines existing processes and methodologies with uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as the modeling standard. Empowering Self-Management through M-Health Applications

The advancement in mobile technology has led towards a new frontier of medical intervention that never been thought possible before. Through the development of MedsBox Reminder (MBR) application for Android as a pilot project of M-Health, health care information system for patient selfmanagement is made possible. The application acts as an assistant to remind users for their timely medicine intake by notifying them through their mobile phone. MedsBox Reminder application aims to facilitate in the self-management of patient's health where they can monitor and schedule their own medicine intake more efficiently. Development of the application is performed using Android Studio 1.4, Android SDK, MySQL database, SQLite, Java language and Netbeans IDE 8.1. Object-Oriented System Development (OOSD) methodology has been adapted to facilitate the development of the application.

Development of ERP Financial Accounting Management System Based on J2EE Technology

This article briefly describes the design and methods of implementation J2EE and ERP financial accounting management system. Establishes a concept with combinations of the structure of object-oriented development and lifecycle development methodology, and analysis of the structure and function of each component module systematic. 모바일 기반 스마트 조선소 품질관리 시스템에 관한 연구

In the smart life era where the majority of economically active population uses mobile devices, smart devices have formed a new service market. In this study, we developed a shipyard quality management application using mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs. For this purpose, the problems were derived through the analysis of the quality management work on shipyard and the considerations were extracted to build a smart work environment by analyzing the case studies of smart work in other industrial fields. Among the shipyard quality management work, functions thought to be highly utilized when converted to a mobile system has been developed as a mobile application. The application was developed by applying an object-oriented component-based development (ooCBD) methodology, and is expected to improve the user experience and the efficiency of quality management operations in shipyard.

System Development and Applications of a Shipyard Layout Design Framework

Shipyard design and the equipment layout problem, which is directly linked to the productivity of ship production, is an important issue in the production planning of mass production of ships. In many cases, shipbuilding yard design has relied on the experience of the internal engineer, resulting in sporadic and poorly organized processes. Consequently, economic losses and the trial-and-error involved in such a design process are inevitable problems. In this paper, a checklist of major elements is defined in order to fine-tune the shipbuilding yard designing process. The input/ output data based on the simulation of a shipbuilding yard layout designing framework and methodology proposed in previous research is also defined. Initial architecture is executed to develop software that integrates all the relevant processes and designing tools. In this course, both user request and design data by the steps are arranged and organized in the proposed layout design template form. In addition, simulation is carried out based on the parent shipbuilding process planning and scheduling data of the ship product, shipbuilding process, and work-stage facilities that constitute the shipbuilding yard. In addition, design items are verified and optimized with a layout and equipment list that shows optimal process planning and scheduling effects. All of the content of this paper is based on the simulation-based shipbuilding yard layout designing methodology, while the initial architectural processes are based on object oriented development methodology and systems engineering methods.

회귀분석을 이용한 UCP 기반 소프트웨어 개발 노력 추정 모델

Recently, there has been continued research on UCP from the development effort estimation method to a software development project applying object oriented development methodology. Current research proposes a linear model estimating the developmenteffort by multiplying a constant to AUCP which applies technical and environmental factors. However, the fact that a non-linear regression model is more appropriate as the software size increases, the development period increases exponentially. In addition, in the UCP calculation process the occurrence of FP errors due to the application of TCF and EF, it is unrealistic to estimate the size with AUCP. This paper presents the issue of current research based on UCP without considering problems of the research, for example, TCF and EF and expresses the models (linear, logarithmic, polynomial, power and exponential type) estimating the development effort directly from UUCP. Consequently, the exponential model within non-linear models exhibit more accurate results than the current linear model. Therefore, after calculating the UUCP of the developing software system, using the proposed model to estimate the development effort, it is possible to estimate the direct cost required in development.

Alternative Instructional Strategies in an IS Curriculum

Introduction A Systems Analysis and Design (SAD) course is a core component of an information systems curriculum. This course typically contains a rather broad set of topics, ranging from planning strategies, project management, system analysis, and system design to related topics such as data modeling and object-oriented development methodologies. The breadth and depth of topics that are frequently covered in SAD make it a difficult course for not only students, but also for instructors. One of our goals as educators is to build a solid and broad foundation of knowledge for our students. The better that we integrate long-accepted development strategies such as structured analysis and design with other business disciplines, the more solid the foundation becomes. By using the extremely adaptable Resources-Events-Agents (REA) model (McCarthy, 1982) to perform this integration with respect to data modeling, an SAD course can provide students with a per spective to extend familiar concepts, such as the duality of the accounting transaction. By explaining new material in terms of concepts already familiar to the student, both understanding and retention increase. Use of the REA model also links students' understanding of processes within an organizational context to widely accepted systems development strategies and database design. Our approach to data modeling combines the concepts presented in traditional entity-relationship modeling (Chen, 1976) and the accounting information system (AIS) perspective of McCarthy's REA model (McCarthy, 1982). The combination of two approaches offers our students alternative perspectives for understanding the same problem. Because our SAD students are in the early stages of integrating a wide range of business concepts, our approach helps them utilize material learned elsewhere in the undergraduate business program with an integrated framework for business processes. This manuscript provides a brief explanation of the systems analysis and design course, followed by a discussion of the REA model and its relationship with structured systems analysis and design methods. The following section presents the steps required to express an REA model as an entity-relationship diagram (ERD). The manuscript concludes with a discussion of the advantages of utilizing REA to assist in the teaching of core database analysis and design concepts, as well as reinforcing concepts typically found in the undergraduate curriculum. Systems Analysis and Design Course The IS 2002 Model Curriculum and Guidelines for Undergraduate Degree Programs in Information Systems (Davis, Feinstein, Gorgone, Longenecker, & Valacich, 2003), a joint effort of the ACM, AIS, and AITP societies, provides a perspective on the overall content of an Information Systems program. One of the components of the guidelines is IS2002.7, Logical Analysis and Design. Scope and topics for the course are presented in the discussion as follows: SCOPE: This course examines the system development and modification process. It emphasizes the factors for effective communication and integration with users and user systems. It encourages interpersonal skill development with clients, users, team members, and others associated with development, operation and maintenance of the system. 객체지향 모델링을 이용한 케이블 데이터 가입자 망관리 시스템의 설계 및 구현

가입자 망에는 ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), VDSL(Very high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line), DOCSIS(Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications) 등이 있으며, 다양한 형태가 있다. 다양한 종류의 접속방식과 이 기종의 장비를 이용하여 가입자에게 단일 형태의 초고속 인터넷 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 이러한 여러 가지 분산된 가입자 망을 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 다양한 형태의 접속방식을 지원하는 이 기종 장비 및 단말들의 상위 개념으로서 추상적이며 개념적인 객체 관리모델이 필요하다. 본 논문은 통합된 계층적 망 관리를 가능하게 하는 인터넷 가입자 망에 대한 모델링 구조를 RM-ODP를 이용하여 제시하였다. 그리고 가입자 망의 예로서 UML을 이용한 객체지향 방법론을 채택하여 DOCSIS의 HFC 가입자망에 대한 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. There exist several types of distributed subscriber networks using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line(ADSL), Very high -bit rate Digital subscriber Line(VDSL), and Data Oner Cable Service Interface Specifications(DOCSIS). The efficient and concentrated network management of those several distributed subscribers networks and resources requires the general management information model of network, which has abstract and conceptual managed objects of the heterogeneous networks and its equipment to manage the integrated subscriber network. This paper presents the general Internet subscribers network modeling framework using RM-ODP to manage that network in the form of integrated hierarchy. This paper adopts the object-oriented development methodology with UML and designs and implements the HFC network of DOCSIS as an example of the subscriber network.

UML을 적용한 OHT 제어 시스템 설계

반도체 업계에서는 200mm 반도체 웨이퍼 생산공정이 300mm 웨이퍼 생산공정으로 바뀜에 따라, 300mm 반도체 웨이퍼를 이동시키는 로봇을 모니터링하고 시뮬레이션하기 위한 소프트웨어 개발이 필요하다. 이런 소프트웨어는 독립적으로 동작하는 것이 아니라 MCS와 하위 시스템인 로봇과 통신하면서 실행되어야 하므로, 그 구성이 복잡하다. 그러므로, 이 시스템을 체계적으로 개발하기 위해서는 객체지향 개발 방법론인 UML을 적용할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문은 반도체 웨이퍼를 생산공정에서 이동시키는 로봇을 모니터링하고 시뮬레이션하기 위한 소프트웨어 개발에 UML 프로세스를 적용하였다. UML을 적용하여 UML을 기반으로 한 개발 프로세스 정의와 개발 단계별 업무들에 대한 구체적인 산출물들을 만들어 내었다. As the semiconductor industrials change 200㎜-sized semiconductor wafer production process to 300㎜-sized one, it requires to develop the software for monitoring and simulating the robot which transfers a 300㎜-sized semiconductor wafer. Because such a software don't run at standalone but communicate MCS(Material Control System) and Its subsystem a robot, its architecture is very complex. Therefore, in order to develop such a software systematically, we must utilize an object-oriented development methodology. UML. This paper presents an UML process application developing the software for monitoring and simulating the robot which transfers a semiconductor wafer on the production process.

소프트웨어 개발 비용을 추정하기 위한 사용사례 점수 기반 모델

In the software development project applying object-oriented development methodology, the research on the UCP(Use Case Point) as a method to estimate development effort is being carried on. The existing research proposes the linear model calculating the development effort that multiplies an invariant on AUCP(Adjusted Use Case Point) which applied technical and environmental factors. However, the statistical model that estimates the development effort using AUCP and UUCP(Unadjusted Use Case Point) is not being studied. The irrelevant relationship of the linear regression model, whose development period is increasing tremendously as the software size increases, is confirmed. Moreover, during the UCP calculating process, there can be errors in FP by applying the TCF(Technical Complexity Factor) and EF(Environmental Factor). This paper presents a non-linear regression model, that does not consider the TCF and EF, and that estimate the development effort from UUCP directly by utilizing the exponential function. An exponential function is selected among the linear, logarithm, polynomial, power, and exponential model via statistical evaluations of the models mentioned above.

UML을 적용한 모바일 고객관리 시스템 설계 및 구현

최근 웹 기술이 급속하게 발달함에 따라 웹 기반의 많은 어플리케이션이 개발되고 있지만, 웹 어플리케이션의 개발 방법론 및 품질개선 속도는 이를 따르지 못하고 있다. 대부분의 웹 어플리케이션의 생성은 체계적인 개발 방법론 없이 개발자의 지식과 경험에 의존하여 개발되고 있다. 그러나 웹 기반의 응용시스템은 다양한 개발 기법이 필요하며 설계 및 개발 프로세스를 위해 풍부한 개발 방법론에 요구된다. 본 논문은 객체지향 개발 방법론을 지원하는 UML(Unified Modeling Language) 을 모바일 고객관리 시스템 설계 및 구현에 적용하였다. 즉, 웹 개발단계에서 필요한 스토리 보드와 요구사항 기술서를 바탕으로 모델링하는데 UML을 적용하였다. 그리고 본 논문에 적용된 개발 방법론을 통해서 산출된 컴포넌트들은 이와 유사한 웹 어플리케이션 개발 시에 필요한 컴포넌트로 재 사용될 수 있다. 이 시스템에 UML을 적용한 결과 효율적인 웹 어플리케이션의 분석 및 설계가 이루어진다. Recently many applications are being developed as web technologies are evolved rapidly, but the development emthodology and quality improvement speed of the web apllications is not so. The creations of Most web applications have developed depending on the developer's knowledge and experience without a systematic development methodologies. But the web-based application systems require the various developing gechniques and the rich developing methodogies for a design process. This paper applies the UML(Unified Modeling Language) supporting an object-oriented development methodology to the design and implementation of a mobile customer management system. That is, it appliesthe UML to the system modeling based on a story board and a requirement specification at the web development of the similar web applications. Applying UML to this system achieved the analysis and the design of an web application effciently.

The Synchronous Approach to Designing Reactive Systems

Synchronous programming is available through several formally defined languages having very different characteristics: Esterel is imperative, while Lustre and Signal are declarative in style; Statecharts and Argos are graphical languages that allow one to program by constructing hierarchical automata. Our motivation for taking the synchronous design paradigm further, integrating imperative, declarative (or dataflow), and graphical programming styles, is that real systems typically have components that match each of these profiles. This paper motivates our interest in the mixed language programming of embedded software around a number of examples, and sketches the semantical foundation of the Synchronie toolset which ensures a coherent computational model. This toolset supports a design trajectory that incorporates rapid prototyping and systematic testing for early design validation, an object oriented development methodology for long term software management, and formal verification at the level of automatically generated object code.

A functional layer for description logics

The paper motivates the facilities provided by Description Logics in an object-oriented programming scenario. It presents a unification approach of Description Logics and object-oriented programming that allows both views to be conveniently used for different subproblems in a modern software-engineering environment. The main thesis of this paper is that in order to use Description Logics in practical applications, a seamless integration with object-oriented system development methodologies must be realized.

Developing interactive computer-based simulations: an object-oriented development methodology enhances computer-assisted instruction

The purpose of this research was to investigate the application of object-oriented technology and AI techniques to enhance development of computer-based training simulations. Towards that end, a comprehensive computer-assisted instructional unit was developed to teach the skills and concepts of window-based applications, the OS 2 desktop, and the use of a patient care information system. By taking advantage of sophisticated computer graphics for the visual representation of objects and the behavioral modeling capabilities of the object-oriented language, domain knowledge modeling and human-computer interactions were implemented without complex natural language processing techniques. The results of this research indicate that nurses and physicians are able to learn the basic skills and concepts of computer systems and how to query for patient information. The new methodology described for building these computer-assisted instructional simulations significantly eased the training and teaching of large numbers of nurses and physicians and simplified their transition to a complex, computer-based hospital information system environment.

Object-oriented methods for manufacturing information systems

Object-oriented programming (OOP) is now widely used in application software development. OOP has advantages connected with handling complexity, reusability, extendability, modularity and data abstraction, enabling it to handle modern programming requirements more effectively than conventional programming methods. Successful advanced manufacturing systems demand increasing complexity, flexibility and integration between computer applications. An object-oriented approach is particularly promising for the design and development of manufacturing information systems. This paper outlines the concepts of object-oriented methods, and describes an object-oriented application development methodology for manufacturing information systems. A CASE (Computer-Aided Software Engineering) tool is used for system modelling and for direct source-code generation. A case study describing the development of a quality management information system is presented, which was implemented using a C++ development environment. Although the research described here is concerned with quality management information systems, the proposed design methodology is applicable to other areas of manufacturing, and conclusions are drawn concerning the uses of OOP in manufacturing information systems generally.

A proposed object-oriented development methodology

The object-oriented approach to software engineering is maturing and evolving as industry methodologists strive to clarify and promote its underlying principles. The object-oriented paradigm has the potential to increase consistency within the software development process compared with previous software engineering approaches. Much of the current work, however, tends to focus on a particular phase without addressing the transition and traceability between phases. The methodology presented is proposed for the full development life-cycle. It synthesises and enhances several emerging object-oriented techniques and notations into a consistent approach. This methodology was developed to provide a framework for using object-oriented techniques in the development of a large simulation and prototyping laboratory.

General object-oriented software development: Background and experience

The effective use of Ada requires the adoption of modern software-engineering techniques such as object-oriented methodologies. A Goddard Space Flight Center Software Engineering Laboratory Ada pilot project has provided an opportunity for studying object-oriented design in Ada. The project involves the development of a simulation system in Ada in parallel with a similar Fortran development. As part of the project, the Ada development team trained and evaluated object-oriented and process-oriented design methodologies for Ada. Finding these methodologies limited in various ways, the team created a general object-oriented development methodology that they applied to the project. This paper discusses some background on the development of the methodology, describes the main principles of the approach, and presents some experiences with using the methodology, including a general comparison of the Ada and Fortran simulator designs.
