Introduction. Each profession requires a highlevel of physical fitness and mental qualities,as well as applied skills, which are based onthe foundation of good physical health. Today, the problem of poor health and insufficientphysical development of students seemsundeniable. Intensification of the learningprocess, mental saturation and insufficientamount of motor activity cause low level ofphysical condition of the student contingent ingeneral and weakness of their core muscles inparticular. At the same time, the work ofstudents majoring in "Musical Art" ischaracterized by their inappropriate position inthe process of playing instruments, whichprovokes prolonged tension of their coremuscles and, accordingly, a number of posturedisorders.Aim. On the basis of theoretical analysis andour own research to scientifically substantiate, develop and experimentally test theeffectiveness of corrective and preventiveactions in the process of professional andapplied physical training of students majoringin "Musical Art" with different types ofposture to increase the level of their readinessfor professional activity.Materials and methods. Theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observations, pedagogical the biogeometric profile of posture and videorecording of posture were used. The range ofmethods of mathematical statistics used in thework included descriptive statistics, as well asthe sampling method (within the selectedreliability P for the studied sample size (n1 +n2) those differences were consideredstatistically significant that did not exceed 5%of the significance level (p) at the number ofdegrees of freedom (n1 + n2-2); the conformityof the samples obtained in the study waschecked on the basis of the normal distributionlaw).Results. The correlation of posture types offemale students of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and, accordingly, 4th academic years majoring in artspecialties was analyzed. As a result of theanalysis, the negative tendency towards thereduction of the share of female students withnormal posture over the course of study wasconfirmed. The obtained data reveal thenegative dynamics of escalation of posturedisorders of students from the 1st to the 4thacademic year, as well as the highest rates ofsuch deviations of the musculoskeletal systemin such groups of specializations as "piano, orchestra, string instruments" and "orchestrawind and percussion instruments, folkinstruments". The distribution of femalestudents by the level of biogeometric profile ofposture gives grounds to claim that in the firstyear 20.47% of girls have a low level ofposture condition, 37.01% – medium level,42.52% – high level (among therepresentatives of such specialization as"piano, orchestra, strings instruments" a lowlevel of posture condition prevails – 36.36%;among those majoring in the specialization"orchestra wind and percussion instruments, folk instruments" a medium level of posturecondition prevails – 56.56%).Conclusions. Theoretical foundations ofcorrective and preventive actions in theprocess of professional and applied physicaltraining of students majoring in "Musical Art"with posture disorders are the fundamentals ofbiomechanics of spatial organization of thehuman body, theory, ideas and scientificprovisions of physical culture and sports, kinesiology, as well as the idea and theory ofpedagogical modeling and planning. Checkingthe effectiveness of corrective and preventiveactions in the process of professional and applied physical training of students majoringin "Musical Art" with different types ofposture turned out to be an importantmethodological component of the system ofphysical education of students and can berecommended for wide implementation intothe educational process at different educationalinstitutions.
