In the paper, a novel orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol-based parallel Wiener–Hammerstein structure is proposed to deal with the problem of nonlinear radio frequency (RF) impairments modeling for a cyclic prefix OFDM (CP-OFDM) waveform in telecommunication systems. The aforementioned structure is an equivalent linear-in-parameters representation of the parallel Wiener–Hammerstein structure in the considered problem. The structure is formally derived enabling the usage of identification algorithms compared with the artificial neural network (ANN) approach. The solution is compliant with current telecommunication standards.
