To optimize of the strengthening component of the NiCoCrAlY coatings, Al particle-reinforced NiCoCrAlY coatings were deposited on 304 stainless-steel substrates using laser cladding technology. The effects of different Al content on the microstructure of NiCoCrAlY coatings were investigated. The results showed that with the increase of Al content, the coating dilution rate gradually decreased. The coating contained the β-NiAl and γ-Ni phases. With the addition of Al, the diffraction peak intensity of the β phase increased and the diffraction peak intensity of the γ phase decreased. At the same time, it can be seen that the β phase gradually transformed from dendritic to grid-like distribution.
