The corrosion assessment of a Fe-Al-Ni alloy in saline solution was carried out by using electrochemical techniques. The Fe-Al-Ni alloy was produced by casting in an induction furnace. It was microstructural and chemically characterized by SEM, EDS XRD. The microstructural characterization results of the casting Fe-Ni-Al alloy showed a homogeneous microstructure morphology, with some porosities formed during the solidification process. The Fe-Ni-Al base alloy presented a B2-(Fe,Ni)Al solid solution phase and non-third phase was observed. The potentiodynamic results showed a more positive Ecorr value in the solution at pH 5. At the pH 7, the linear polarization resistance results showed the highest values of the icorr kinetic. Whereas, the best performance against corrosion was observed at pH 5, where the lowest icorr kinetic values were observed. This was associated to the formation of a more stable and dense scale of corrosion products at that condition.
