This paper introduces a fast and exact method for line reclosing analysis. The new method is based on the corollary of the shift theorem and on the reasonable assumption of decoupling. The reclosed system state is obtained through an intermediate system state calculation with only real power redistribution. The validity of the proposed method was tested by its application to the standard IEEE 30-bus test system and the solution compared with the results obtained by the Newton-Raphson load flow method.
