Research on the Strategy of Integrating Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture into the Ideological and Political Education Curriculum of English Majors

With the proposed fundamental task of moral cultivation, ideological and political education in colleges and universities has ushered in a new opportunity for reform. To improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education under this background, colleges and universities have organically integrated professional teaching and ideological and political education, actively carried out curriculum ideological and political construction, and achieved certain results. The traditional Chinese culture contains rich national spirit and culture, and integrating it with curriculum ideological and political education can give full play to the advantages of implicit ideological and political education, help students establish cultural confidence, cultivate their patriotic feelings, and thus help them form a sense of national cultural pride, laying a solid foundation for their future development. In this regard, this paper briefly analyzes the strategy of integrating Chinese excellent traditional culture into the English major curriculum, hoping to provide some valuable reference for readers.

Abstract : Dance is a form of regional culture that contains many cultural values ​​that are strong in social, cultural, philosophical and spiritual values. The cultural values ​​of each dance movement are able to describe the identity of a region. Students' personalities in character building through dance have the aim of being a form of existence in learning traditional dance at school in forming a learning process that is fun, creative, communicative and aesthetic (Ayu Retnoningsih, 2017). However, over time, traditional dance has faded with western culture, so the existence of character strengthening has had a decreasing impact. The development of the times coupled with technological developments seems to be eroding various local wisdom values, especially for the younger generation and children (Umi Mahmudah1 et al., n.d.). Therefore, the author wants to provide efforts to prevent the erosion of traditional culture and western culture by preserving dance movements and instilling character from elementary school age, especially at SDN 22 Ampenan. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The research results were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. With this dance training, it is hoped that it can preserve culture and also foster students' character of cooperation, tolerance, discipline, national spirit, love of the country, and responsibility. While his films vary in theme and style, they consistently reflect on national spirit and cultural traditions, explore life and fate of the people, question trust and betrayal, and showcase a distinctive artistic perspective and profound humanistic thinking. His works have deepened the artistic exploration of Chinese cinema. The cultural and philosophical depth embodied in his films has not only elevated the quality of Chinese cinema but also promoted dialogue and exchange between Chinese cinema and the world.

A Study of the Aesthetic Art of New Patriotism in Red Film and Television Drama

Red cinema and television works have long been pivotal components in the propagation of Chinese culture and the inculcation of patriotic education. These productions chronicle the trajectory of historical evolution, conveying the spirit of patriotism in the new era through intense emotions and strikingly impactful visuals. Against the backdrop of globalization, where cultural exchanges among nations are increasingly prevalent, the question of how China's red cinema and television can inspire the younger generation through the aesthetics of new patriotism has become a focal point of attention. From early revolutionary story films to modern epic masterpieces, red cinema and television employ unique aesthetic expressions, innovative narrative techniques, and visual arts to seamlessly blend patriotism with art, offering audiences of the new era a series of visual and spiritual feasts.

Pemikiran KH. A. Wahid Hasyim (Religius -Rasional) Tentang Pendidikan Islam dan Relevansinya dengan Pendidikan Islam Kontemporer

Among the many thinkers and observers of Islamic education, Wahid Hasyim's name is still rare and has received less attention about his ideas regarding the problems of contemporary Islamic education. In addition to his thoughts and struggles related to the State, the figure of Wahid Hasyim also thinks a lot about the strategy and progress of Islamic education in facing various challenges and demands of the community on the needs of the world of education. Islamic education has always been an interesting study not only because it has its own characteristics, but also because it is rich in concepts that are no less quality than modern education. Many figures have made innovations in the world of education, one of which is Wahid Hasyim's thought in advancing Islamic education. This research uses the literature method (liberary reseach) The results of this study are the educational concepts of K.H. Abdul Wahid Hasyim, namely, 1) Religion, 2) Development of students' potential, 3) Social, and 4) National spirit. Those are the 4 pillars of the concept of Islamic education contributed by K.H. Abdul Wahid Hasyim in the Islamic education system.

Student’s Learning Motivation In Implementing Differentation Learning In Pancasila Education

This study aims to evaluate the level of students' learning motivation in the application of product differentiation learning strategies in Pancasila Education subjects. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method, with data collection through questionnaires. The questionnaires were distributed to two classes, totaling 67 students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta, with random class selection. The questionnaire includes five indicators of student learning motivation, namely enjoyment in learning, willingness to work, desire to get high grades, awareness to learn, and independence. The results showed that the average of all indicators of student learning motivation reached 83.9%, which is a very high category. This indicates that the application of product differentiation learning strategies to the material of national spirit and commitment in Pancasila Education subjects can significantly increase student learning motivation.

Research on Enhancing the Affinity of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Private Universities in the New Era

In the new era, the ideological and political theory courses in private colleges and universities have the problem of insufficient affinity. College students in the new era have distinct personalities, psychology, and value orientations, but some college students feel distant from ideological and political theory courses. They do not pay attention to, understand, or even resist "big concepts" and "big propositions" such as the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, as well as the lofty ideals and beliefs. Therefore, effective countermeasures must be formed to create a warm ideological and political classroom from the aspects of teaching content, teaching methods, teaching practice, and teacher team building, so as to increase the closeness of ideological and political theory courses among college students. Only in this way can the spirit of patriotism take root in the hearts of students and give play to the positive influence of ideological and political theory courses on the values of young college students.

Meningkatkan Kualitas Nasionalisme Generasi Millenial Indonesia untuk Meminimalisasi Pengaruh Derap Era Globalisasi Informasi

This research examines strategies to deal with the influence of information globalization on the nationalism of Indonesia's millennial generation. Using a qualitative literature study method, this research analyses the challenges and opportunities in maintaining the spirit of nationalism in the digital era. The results show the importance of a comprehensive approach that includes strengthening national resilience in the aspects of ideology, politics, economy, socio-cultural, and defense and security (Ipoleksosbudhankam). The main strategies include reforming the education system with the integration of nationalist values, optimizing the role of mass media, establishing a cyber war force, and increasing patriotism programs that focus on the millennial generation. The research emphasizes the importance of balancing openness to global information flows with the maintenance of national identity. In conclusion, the synergy between government policies, educational institutions, and community participation is needed to build strong national resilience in facing the challenges of information globalization, while maintaining and enhancing the spirit of nationalism among Indonesia's young generation. The implementation of this strategy is expected to strengthen Indonesia's position in facing increasingly complex global dynamics while maintaining the fundamental values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution

This article discusses the Jihad Resolution and the Nationalist spirit of the Islamic boarding school students (santri) in fighting for Indonesian independence because recently the Nationalist spirit of the Indonesian people has begun to erode, some even consider it an ideology that is contrary to Islam. By using a qualitative-historical approach and data collection techniques through literature study, this article wants to show that the spirit of Nationalism needs to be instilled in the souls of all the nation's children because it is the result of the Jihad Resolution to jointly defend and dedicate identity, integrity with the national spirit that was born by Hadratus Sheikh KH. Hasyim Asy'ari as a great scholar and founder of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Therefore, the opinion that Nationalism is a heretical ideology does not have a strong argument, especially when considering that Nationalism is excessive fanaticism which is prohibited makers that it is necessary to continuously instill the spirit of Nationalism by in religion. The results of this research can at least provide input to policy reviving the Jihad Resolution which is currently relevant to the nation's conditions. Jihad resolution does not mean physical war, but jihad can be actualized by a student in several aspects. Like; literacy jihad, jihad in the medical world, technology, economics, politics and other things relevant to.

Coverage of National Spirit and Expression in the Translations of Uzbek Stories and Narratives

This article explores the problems of reflecting the national spirit and specific modes of expression in the process of translation using the example of the English translation of the famous work of the Uzbek writer Gafur Ghulam “The Naughty Boy”. During the study, a comparative analysis of the text of the original work and its translation is carried out, assessing such aspects as the main criteria that determine the quality of translation - the preservation of the plot and composition, the issuance of national realities and phraseological units, the author’s style and the degree of reflection of the individuality of character speech. According to the results of the analysis, although the general content and artistic features of the work have been successfully restored in the translation of “The Naughty Boy”, problems are visible in the translation of certain national features, including realities, folk proverbs and phrases characteristic of the Uzbek lifestyle and mentality.

Tibetan Dance and Its Artistic Value Rediscovered

Tibetan dance carries a rich history, culture and national feelings, and its history can be traced back to the Neolithic Age. At that time, the ancestors of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau had begun to express their lives and emotions in the form of dance. After thousands of years of development and evolution, Tibetan dance has formed a unique artistic style and a complete dance system, which not only reflects the profound historical and cultural heritage, but also shows the unique aesthetic pursuit and national spirit of the Tibetan people. This paper reviews the historical development of Tibetan dance, sorts out the characteristics and changes of Tibetan dance in different historical periods, analyzes the dance posture, rhythm and costumes of Tibetan dance, and discusses the value of Tibetan dance in contemporary times.

Simmel on the war for national spirit and cosmopolitan culture

Building and expanding on significant pre-existing scholarship, this article surveys Georg Simmel’s public reactions to the war, concentrating on his most widely circulated statements of the period, before moving on to some further considerations on the significance of the war for Simmel’s sociological and philosophical vision as a whole. At the forefront are three or four main emphases of Simmel’s thinking in the relevant texts. These include the politics of Europe and the nation in Simmel’s thought; themes of death and finitude in modern culture; the West and Western hubris on the stage of world history; and money, law and violence in international affairs at the outset of the 20th century. Though there can be little doubt of the sheer virulence of Simmel’s and other German writers’ reaction to the outbreak of hostilities in 1914, the war’s profoundly transformative experience could move Simmel gradually to embrace another, more reasoned and self-reflective form of salient struggle with ‘the West’ and Western ‘civilization’ in European relations, disabused of nationalistic anguish and resentment.

Exploring Character Education in 'Bocah-Bocah Borneo': Implications for Student Character Development

Literature is an integral part of character formation efforts. This research aims to determine the contribution of the short story anthology book ‘Bocah-Bocah Borneo’ by Neneng Eliana to the character education of elementary school students. The research method used is inferential content analysis in the form of a process of describing, classifying, interpreting, and concluding the character values contained in the short story and implications for student character development based on Strengthening Ki Hajar Dewantara's Character Education. The data sources for content analysis included the short story anthology 'Bocah-Bocah Borneo', presidential regulations related to Strengthening Character Education inspired by Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy, and relevant articles from accredited scientific journals.". "The content analysis involved systematically procuring data from the short story anthology, reducing and categorizing the data, making inferences, and conducting a detailed analysis. The results of the data analysis show several findings. First, there are eighteen characters values contained in the short story anthology ‘Bocah-Bocah Borneo’, namely religious, brave, socially caring, environmentally caring, friendly and communicative, responsible, curious, disciplined, hard-working, polite, independent, honest, tolerant, creative, democratic, spirit of nationality, patriotism, and appreciate for achievements. Second, the implications for student character development of ‘Bocah-Bocah Borneo’ short story which originates from the five values of Strengthening Character Education from Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy, namely: religion, nationalism, independence, cooperation, and integrity. This research concludes that the short story contributes significantly to the character instruction values of elementary school understudies.

Tinjauan Pembaharuan Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia

Renewing Islamic education in Indonesia is the main focus in facing changing times. This article explores the renewal of Islamic education from historical and contemporary perspectives, highlighting the background, methodology, results and thoughts of key figures. The research method uses a literature study and literature study approach, with data collection through electronic sources such as Google Scholar and digital libraries. The results of the research outline the concept of Islamic education reform, the background to the reform in the 19th and 20th centuries, and the influence of the reform on Islamic education in Indonesia. The main focus is on the thoughts of reformer figures such as Muhammad Abduh and Rasyid Ridha, who pushed back to the teachings of the Koran and Al-Hadith, the spirit of nationalism, and local factors. Renewing Islamic education in Indonesia includes the integration of digital literacy, critical thinking skills, improving infrastructure, and strengthening the values ​​of tolerance. This article also identifies approaches to renewing Islamic education, ranging from Western orientation to Islamic orientation and nationalism. Thus, the renewal of Islamic education in Indonesia is a continuous effort to improve the quality of education, strengthen Islamic identity, and prepare a generation that is ready to compete globally.

Education plays a crucial role in uncovering and developing an individual's Education plays a very significant role in uncovering and developing an individual's potential, creating people who are not only intellectually smart but also morally upright. However, the current state of education faces serious challenges related to morals and ethics, both from educators and learners. This research aims to explore the characteristics of educators and the values of character in Bait Matan Syatibiyyah. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis methods to identify the characteristics of educators and the character values contained in Bait Matan Syatibiyyah. The research findings indicate that the characteristics of educators in Bait Matan Syatibiyyah include sincerity, piety, justice, gentleness and compassion, patience, knowledge, honesty, humility, self-evaluation, being a role model, and consistency. The character values emphasized in Bait Matan Syatibiyyah are being religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard-working, creative, independent, democratic, curious, having a national spirit and love for the country, appreciating achievements, being friendly and communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading, environmentally aware, socially aware, and responsible. The characteristics of educators as described in Bait Matan Syatibiyyah have strong relevance to the instillation of character values in students.

HISTORICAL MEMORY AS A MANIFESTATION OF NATIONAL IDENTITY IN THE WORKS OF W. SAROYAN, J. HASHYAN

Armenian-American English-speaking writers often turn to historical memory aiming at maintaining national identity without forgetting the pastthis is the preserved present, the spiritual potential of the people, the continuity of the ethnos. Historical memory preserves people‘s national consciousness and selfconsciousness. Its role is especially great in such situations that threaten the nation. We frequently turn to history on how to behave in our days, and it gives us a clear answer. The most important component of identity of each nation is its historical memory. Armenian writers who spoke in foreign countries portrayed the history of their nation, their family and their humankind in order not to assimilate with foreign people, by preserving the consciousness of identity on the national level. In their works W. Saroyan, J. Hashyan emphasized the historical past, national spirit and sense of dignity as important traits that make up the basis of national identity. W. Saroyan gave importance to the unique national mentality, character, preservation of national traditions and customs. J. Hashyan focuses attention on the power of Armenians to withstand the bitterness of life, the formation of a generational reserve of national consciousness, the preservation of a strong family as a battle for the survival of the nation. On the basis of data reflecting the relationship between the Armenian and Turkish peoples of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, American Armenians presented the historical perspective of the Armenian people in their works.

Nationalism on Social Media: The impacts of comments on ASEAN Football Pages on mental health

Background: As a modern communication medium, Facebook provides a new place to people who live far apart to interact and discuss on the same topic, such as football. This research examines how the nationalism is generated through Facebook. From the perspective of social realities, Facebook is observed as a channel of communication utilized by football lovers. However, communication through Facebook also causes conflicts among its users. Aims: This study aims to investigate how nationalism is expressed through communication on Facebook and how conflicts affect mental health but can also build and perpetuate a sense of nationalism and strengthen group identities. Methods: To achieve the objectives, content analysis is used to examine the manifestation with regard to the context of generating a spirit of nationalism through the communication interaction process of Facebook users. Data collection in this study was conducted through ASEAN football page on Facebook. Posts, images and comments left under the related posts were then selected when they are regarding only the spirit of nationalism. Results: Results show that Facebook is not only a social medium but also, a means of generating nationalism through conversations. As nationalism is expressed both in a positive and negative way on ASEAN football page, it, of course, leads to conflicts because of the differences in the orientation of values and interest when the conflicting sides hold different background. Conclusion: By exploring how nationalism is expressed through Facebook comments on ASEAN football page, the research provides insights into how digital platforms shape and amplify nationalistic sentiments. This understanding is crucial in an era where social media plays a significant role in public discourse and it also highlights the mental health impacts of online nationalistic comments. This is significant for developing strategies to address and mitigate the negative psychological effects that such interactions can have on individuals.
