Coordination complexes of the type MX 4.L and MX 4.2L ( M = Sn, Ti; X = Cl, Br, I and L = N-allyl thiourea, acetylene urea. N-allylurea, N-allyl acrylamide and N-allyl benzamide) have been prepared. I.R. spectral results indicate coordination through nitrogen in N-allyl thiourea and through oxygen in rest of the amides. The stability constant (log K) values have been calculated from the carbonyl stretching frequency of the complexes and related to the magnitude of the shifts observed on coordination.
