AbstractA simple multiwavelength Raman fiber ring laser with equalized peak power is proposed and demonstrated experimentally by inserting a sample chirped fiber Bragg grating. By adjusting the polarization controller (PC) in the ring cavity, up to ten stable wavelengths with equalized peak power are achieved at room temperature. The Raman fiber ring laser has many advantages such as simple structure, low loss, and multiwavelength lines with moderate output power. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
