The outcome of patients with esophageal cancer after endoscopic resection has recently improved because of advancement in endoscopic instruments and progressive endoscopic procedures. During follow-up, it has been noted that the number of metachronous squamous cell carcinoma in the esophagus (MEsCa) or primary cancers in the other organs (MPCa) have been increasing. So the aim of this study was to clarify the clinical features of those metachronous cancers, especially at the point of association between the development of metachronous cancers and multiple Lugol-voiding lesions (mLVLs).
