TEACHING THE BASICS OF MULTIMEDIA TO ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGNERS DURING THEIR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

The article discusses the features of teaching multimedia to environmental designers as part of training sessions. A brief review of sources was carried out, attention was paid to the definition of the concept of multimedia in the context of the study. Special applications and programmes for the development of multimedia materials used in educational practice are indicated, their capabilities are defined. The main problems in multimedia training of environ mental designers are considered. The authors present the methodological components of the educational process, aimed at the formation of skills in the development and use of multimedia technologies by students, including in the design of the interior and exterior environment. The article discloses the issues of the development of knowledge and skills of students necessary for the creation of professional presentations of their research and creative works, as well as the presentation of copyright projects in the form of a virtual space. Ways to solve the stated problem are proposed.

Component analysis for energy-efficient multimedia networks utilizing 5G radio access technologies

The object of the research is the energy-efficient multimedia networks based on 5G wireless access technologies. The research is aimed at developing energy-efficient multimedia networks based on 5G wireless access technologies, considering the increasing importance of information and communication technologies (ICT) in modern society. With the proliferation of wireless access networks and the advancement of fifth-generation mobile networks (5G), there is a need to assess and reduce the environmental impact of ICT. The article specifically focuses on the challenges related to energy consumption and CO2 emissions in radio access networks, highlighting the responsibility to balance technological advancements with environmental concerns. The paper examines various components and technologies necessary for enhancing energy efficiency in multimedia networks. It discusses the concept of multimedia, including digital storage, data processing, and interactive elements. Statistical data is provided to underscore the significant energy consumption and carbon footprint of the ICT industry, with an emphasis on radio access networks. Heterogeneous networks, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technologies, and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technologies are identified as key components for achieving energy efficiency. The importance of reducing the distance between transmitters and receivers in heterogeneous networks is emphasized, as well as the use of energy-saving strategies such as putting small base stations into sleep mode during low network loads. Special attention is given to the role of green data centers in reducing CO2 emissions and optimizing the use of green energy in high-performance networks. Proposed methods include leveraging renewable energy sources, improving hardware energy efficiency, and implementing energy-efficient routing. The findings offer valuable insights for the development and implementation of energy-efficient multimedia networks, particularly in the context of 5G networks. The interdisciplinary approach advocated in the conclusion emphasizes the collective efforts needed to address environmental challenges in the field of information and communication technologies. The combination of these technologies ensures efficient resource utilization and reduced environmental impact compared to similar known approaches.

Usability testing for learning media application Al-Qur’an Hadith

The ever-developing technology has an impact on all aspects of life, including education. One of the innovations in the field of education is the adoption of multimedia concepts in the teaching and learning process. Why multimedia? because with multimedia we can combine several elements at once including text, images, sound, video, and animation. An interactive multimedia-based learning application has been developed for Al-Qur'an Hadith subjects. Applications are made to attract interest in learning and make the learning process of teaching fun. The objective of this study is to get evaluations from users in terms of user satisfaction using the application with a usability test. Usability testing is carried out using the SUS (System Usability Scale) approach. The results of this study show that an interactive multimedia learning media application for learning the Al-Qur'an Hadith based on usability testing by 20 respondents, using the SUS approach, got an SUS Score is 81. The grade scale application is “A” and also application gets “acceptable” in acceptability ranges.

Paul Ricoeur's Hermeneutic Analysis on User Interface Design for Augmented Reality Baleganjur Applications

Augmented reality technology or more popularly known as AR is a technology that implements interactive multimedia concepts. Augmented reality technology is a technology that combines the virtual world with the real world in real-time, through electronic devices such as cameras, sensors and software, augmented reality is able to display virtual objects in both 2D and 3D form in the real world. In this study, it focuses on analyzing the appearance of the interface design or the main menu application user interface by implementing augmented reality technology, with the name of the application, Augmented Reality Baleganjur. The user interface display on the main menu of the Baleganjur Augmented Reality application has design elements that can be translated with different meanings and understandings, depending on the user's point of view. This is the basis of this research, where the appearance of the user interface design on the main menu of the Baleganjur Augmented Reality application has design elements that can lead to different interpretations of meaning and understanding. The purpose of this study is of course to reveal the meaning and understanding of the design elements in the user interface design display of the Baleganjur Augmented Reality application, by conducting an in-depth analysis using Paul Ricoeur's Hermeneutics. As for the results of this study, it can be concluded that researchers as hermeneutics have an important role in interpreting and offering solutions, which can later be used as a reference for repairing or perfecting design elements in the application user interface, so that these design elements can convey meaning and understanding in a comprehensive and detailed manner to users.

The Use of Multimedia in English Classes as a Means of Increasing Student Motivation

The relevance of the study is conditioned upon the fact that in modern society the use of information technology tools is an important aspect that predetermines the work of many areas of human activity. Currently, multimedia has many advantages in teaching English as it offers more information, saves time, and stimulates imagination and creativity. It enriches the education process and can make it more effective by increasing students’ interest. In this regard, this paper is aimed at considering the process of using multimedia means to learn a foreign language. The leading methods used to investigate this problem were analysis, classification, deduction, synthesis, generalisation, and natural experiment, which helped research the influence of information and technological data on students’ achievements. The study covered the general concept of multimedia and its need for teaching English; showed the use of websites, programs, electronic dictionaries, and videos for learning English on the Internet; demonstrated the influence of multimedia technologies on modern language teaching methods; described the features of using the multimedia for language learning; analysed the relevant literature and covered the main principles for the effective introduction of media resources to learn English; identified the advantages and problems of using multimedia in education; diagnosed the data on the success of university students and their level of motivation when working with information technology and multimedia; considered strategies for using multimedia technologies and data in education. The materials of the present paper are of practical and theoretical value for educators, teachers, professors at universities, media psychologists, sociologists, translators, psychologists, and employees of educational organisations who will be able to develop methods and ways to improve students’ motivation based on the use of media technologies and information data.

Rancang Bangun Multimedia Pembelajaran Berbasis WEB Konsep Kegiatan Ekonomi Pembelajaran IPS Kelas V SD

The results of field studies that have been carried out at one of the state elementary schools in the Rancaekek area, Bandung, show that the use of learning media is very minimal due to the limited ability of teachers to create and utilize existing technology, especially digital technology for creative and innovative learning media, so students tend to be given assignments through theme book during social studies learning. Therefore, this study aims to create interesting multimedia learning as one of the uses of digital technology for elementary students in the form of web-based learning multimedia concepts of social studies learning economic activities. Besides aiming to create or design, it also aims to test and get responses from users of the designed multimedia. The research design used the Design and Development (D&D) research method or design and development. This web-based learning multimedia development procedure uses the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implement, and evaluate). The result of this development is to produce a product in the form of web-based multimedia learning the concept of economic activity for class V social studies learning. In addition to producing products, the results of the feasibility test of experts, namely media experts received 92.90% interpretation, and 96.40% from material experts. In addition, the user's assessment response got positive results with the percentage of 98.40% from teachers, and 89.20% from students. So that it can be categorized into a "Very Good" value interval. Web-based learning multimedia products that are recommended for use by parents in social studies learning.

The Role of Multimedia Teaching - Learning Strategies in the Development of Competencies of Primary School Pupils

: In these times of educational needs and requirements, and especially after the Covid pandemics, where both teachers and students were forced to adapt to new educational situations, the idea of multimedia took new meanings. In the present brief study, I would like to highlight the main definitions that stand behind the concept of media and multimedia, in order to get a better understanding. Then, I would like to present the main advantages and disadvantages of the use of multimedia teaching – learning strategies in education. Also, I present some curiosities about the main downloaded tools used in education and belonging to multimedia area, and also some practical ideas about how to introduce them into the daily schedule of pupils, in order to get better results in education. The main objective of the study is to see the real situation of multimedia strategy use in Romanian primary schools, mainly those from Arad County. I finish my study by presenting and describing some of the best practices in terms of multimedia use in education and how they manage to develop some competencies of primary school pupils. The preliminary results show that multimedia tools used in primary schools from Arad County, develop several competencies, such as transversal and key competences. Suggestions are that multimedia strategies should be used weekly in the teaching learning routine of pupils in order to get better outcomes.

Multimedia technologies in music education of preschool children

The dynamic digitalization of the national education system leads to the transformation of all its links, including preschool education. One of the promising and strategic directions of digitalization of preschool education is the use of multimedia technologies that expand the possibilities of organizing the educational process. Domestic and foreign scholars in their studies point out the special role of multimedia technologies for the development of a child's intelligence and personality.
 The concept of multimedia is associated with computer processing and presentation of various types of information, as well as with the variability of images and scenarios.
 The introduction of multimedia into the field of education leads to the emergence of new software tools and requires their content in the development of new teaching methods. The article focuses on multimedia presentations as powerful didactic tools for music lessons. When using multimedia presentations, children's interest in educational activities increases, the level of their cognitive abilities increases, and preschoolers' abilities develop more effectively. The use of new diverse and non-traditional methods of explaining and consolidating material playfully increases children's involuntary attention in the process of cognition, helps to activate their voluntary attention, and promotes the development of all mental processes.
 Based on the analysis of theoretical studies, the peculiarity of information perception by means of multimedia is determined considering the types of people: kinesthetic, audial, and visual. It is emphasized that these types of perception should be considered because the quality of information perception directly affects the success of learning.

Implementation of Multi-host Podcast-Based Learning Videos in Multimedia Concept Courses

Learning through digital means is a modern method of education that has been influenced by rapid development of communication technology and information in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. In universities, teaching and learning activities have been changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Multihost podcasts based on learning videos have emerged as an alternative learning media for online study in Multimedia Concept programs. Based on the results of distributing a questionnaire, the research method used has been a 4D Model with the conclusion that multihost podcast-based learning videos are highly feasible with a percentage rate of 86,8% from the perspective of video display, learning content and understanding. As an effective and efficient learning medium, podcasts have substantial potential for university students.

TEACHER AND STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS ON INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA IN TEACHING ENGLISH AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

This study aims to see how the teacher and students’ perception on Interactive Multimedia in teaching English at Senior High school in Padang Pariaman. This study uses descriptive qualitative as the method within the interview as an instrument for this research. So, the researcher took one English teacher and 5 eleventh-grade students as participants to be interviewed. The results of this study indicate that there is a misunderstanding of the concept of interactive multimedia used by the teacher and the students. The teacher already use multimedia in teaching english, but the multimedia used did not include interactive multimedia. However, based on the results of interviews, the teacher and the students gave positive responsd to the use of multimedia in the teaching and learning process of english because it is interesting so that the students are interested and focused on learning. By using multimedia, it is easier for the teacher to convey the material and explain the material systematically in supporting the teaching and learning process in the classroom.

Pelatihan Multimedia Pembelajaran al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyah (AIK) berbasis website pada MGMP ISMUBA SMP/MTs Kabupaten Banyumas

Educators always strive to present learning materials optimally and are supported by adequate learning resources so students can master them completely. This is intended to equip partners by a) instilling awareness in training participants about the importance of developing learning multimedia; b) providing an understanding and insight into the multimedia concept of AIK learning for educators as a special feature of Muhammadiyah schools; 3) providing capabilities and skills in developing web-based learning multimedia to improve the quality of learning and teaching. Partners involved in this training activity are Ismuba teachers of SMP/MTs Muhammadiyah Kab. Banyumas with representatives of each school as many as 20 people. Implementation method with lecture, practice, and assignment methods. The steps of this training activity are divided into two theoretical, drill and demontration sessions, namely: the first theory, the urgency of PAI learning media (curriculum analysis). The second is the concept of AIK learning multimedia. And practice sessions, making website-based AIK learning multimedia using the Canva for Education platform. The results of the service, a) understanding of the learning media showed the pretest value of 88.9% increased to 94.4% for the post-test value. The training instills a common awareness that teachers' enthusiasm to find creative ideas about media designs or plans regarding the material needs to be trained on an ongoing basis. b) Mastering participants' abilities in website-based learning media using the Canva for Education platform has a tendency to increase activity and seriousness, making 22.2% more frequent in use. Supported by the success of the multimedia training, it is also proven by the increase in knowledge and skills by as much as 94.4%.

Mengelola Konsep Dasar Siaran Radio, Televisi, dan Multimedia (Internet) Bermuatan Dakwah

Managing is to regulate, control, manage and regulate. Managing the basic concepts of radio, television and multimedia that contain da'wah means how we as da'i, producers or preachers regulate the concept of da'wah through this media in order to achieve the goal of da'wah. With this information technology can facilitate all activities. In the past, when you wanted to convey a message to someone who was far away, you still used a written letter, even through the post office to send it. This research is a descriptive study by describing and explaining how to manage the basic concepts of radio, television, and multimedia (internet) containing da'wah that has occurred from the past until now in Indonesia. Radio, television and internet are media that developed from the era of era that can be used as a medium of da'wah. So we as Muslims, preachers and television producers must be good at managing this media as well as possible so that the da'wah delivered is right on target. Making this media as a developing that can convey its da'wah. Whatever method of da'wah that is carried out in the real world, it has been able to be displayed in cyberspace precisely. The challenge for the da'i in using the media is how the da'i maintains this media so that it does not become extinct or this media persists in delivering da'wah and is able to develop and convey da'wah widely through this media. Therefore, da'wah in this global era must use modern information technology in conveying messages of Islamic teachings. This modern media information technology can be used in every condition and place, both in urban and rural areas. This can make it easier for the dai in conveying his da'wah to the da'wah targets.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of different infographic designs

With the developments in digital technologies, the increase in the amount of accessible information and the multimedia concept, it has become necessary to present complex information in a simplified manner. Along with this requirement, one of the current concepts that draw attention within the scope of multimedia concept is the infographic. The main purpose in the multimedia learning process is to achieve meaningful learning, and the effectiveness of the teaching material used in this process has gained importance. In this context, it was aimed to examine the reflections of different material designs on academic achievement, cognitive load, and motivation, including visual intense infographic, text intense infographic, and text only material. Based on the execution of all experimental mixed design was conducted with 58 teacher candidates. According to the quantitative and qualitative findings of the research, while academic achievement, cognitive load, and motivation vary significantly depending on the type of material, the aforementioned differences are significant in favor of the visual intense infographic expressed by the participants as a simple and concrete and therefore understandable.

An E-Quiz System: A Pathway to Improve English Learning for Preschoolers in Rural Areas

E-Quiz Systems is a system that replaces manual techniques, which are paperless methods often utilised in rural preschools. This paper presents an interactive web-based solution to assist students and teachers in rural regions with English language learning and instruction. This study attempts to motivate preschoolers in rural locations to learn English while providing instructors with interactive web-based methods to measure their students’ knowledge levels. A web-based application system is created to display e-quiz questions using the interactive multimedia principles of multiple media types and navigation with user input. Using interactive multimedia concepts, an E-Quiz System is designed to serve as an interactive quiz for English learning. ADDIE Model was the approach employed in this project. In addition, this project underwent testing for functionality and usability. As a contribution, it has been established that this study will give a pathway that piques children’s interest in learning English and makes it simpler for instructors to evaluate children’s growth using the E-Quiz System score.

The Intermedia Books: a Concept of Book And Multimedia Integration for Remedial

The research and development of the Intermedia Book are motivated by the remedial implementation conditions of Indonesian lessons that have not been optimal. The preliminary research results that students need a book that can accommodate the remedial process by the learner's era. The concept of multimedia and book integration is a good solution for Indonesian remedial learning. The purpose of this research is to develop the Intermedia Book for remedial processes of Indonesian subjects. This research used the ten steps Borg & Gall model. From the ten steps Borg & Gall, the researcher modifies into three main steps: (1) preparation, (2) development, and (3) validation. The product of this research is the Intermedia Book of Indonesian Subject for VII grade students. The implication of this research is to bring multimedia products closer to learners through the intermedia book. This development becomes one of the techniques to increase the interactive learning process.

Infographics as an Alternative Da'wah Medium during Covid-19 Crisis

Infographics are visual representations of complex information or data created by combining elements such as symbols, graphics, shapes, pictures, texts and illustrations to present information in a simple, concise and easy to understand manner that piques the reader’s or viewer’s interest. Based on these criteria, infographics are deemed highly suitable for use as a medium for contemporary da’wah in an age of media centralization, particularly among the young. The current COVID-19 pandemic has severely harmed traditional preaching and learning through lectures and talks in mosques and suraus, particularly in our country, Malaysia. This is due to the strict enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO), which limits movement and mass gathering with strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and suspends all religious activities. In order to overcome obstacles to preaching, we must creatively diversify the method of da’wah based on the concept of murunah (flexibility), which is the foundation of Islamic tasawwur in implementing Shariah. Thus, the objectives of this study are to (i) explain the idea of ICT-based da’wah, (ii) analyse the concept of infographics and multimedia in da’wah, and (iii) summarise the community’s perspective of infographics as an interactive da’wah medium. This study employed exploratory sequential mixed methods, beginning with a qualitative literature review using content analysis, followed by quantitative perception questionnaire, analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings of the study finds that an average of 91.3% of the respondents agreed that infographics represent a significantly suitable form of visual information through social media for most people, especially during the COVID-19 crisis for the continuity of Islamic da’wah.

Teaching of College English Writing from the Perspective of Multimedia Education

The rapid development of science and technology, the rapid updating of computer technology, the constant networking, and computerisation of society are ushering in a new era in which computer technology and various media are used to process and disseminate information. Multimedia technology has also been mentioned and developed in the field of education. Its intervention has had a significant impact on education, leading to a renewed conception of educators, educational methods, and forms of learning. This paper is based on educational theory, educational planning theory, and educational psychology theory, starting from the combination of network multimedia and college English writing instruction through detailed demand analysis and system design, fully using modern information technology to build a multimedia network learning platform of blended college English writing instruction. This paper examines the application of multimedia technology in blended learning college English writing. Based on the reading and collecting of a large number of materials, it combines the long-term experience of teaching practice, the concept of multimedia, characteristics, application status, and development trends of multimedia technology; in-depth analysis of the current situation and problems faced by blended learning English writing in college summarizes the application of multimedia curriculum in teaching practice and feedback on the use of multimedia curriculum in teaching English writing in college. The experiments showed that the P value of students’ attitude toward English writing and multimedia teaching method is less than 0.05, which showed that the multimedia teaching method could improve students’ self-discovery ability and enhance the learning effect; the repetition of multimedia teaching material conforms to the memory rules and effectively helps students to remember what they learn repeatedly.

The article considers the peculiarities of the use of multimedia technologies in the educational process. The concepts of multimedia and graphics editors, the essence of the work of graphics editors are revealed. Recommendations for teachers and students based on the analysis of the work of online graphics editors have been developed. The study was conducted using the method of theoretical analysis.

Multimedia Concepts on Object Detection and Recognition with F1 Car Simulation Using Convolutional Layers

This paper presents a framework for detecting objects in images based on global features and contours. The first step is a shape matching algorithm that uses the background subtraction process. Object detection is accomplished by an examination of the oversegmentation of the image, where the space of the potential boundary of the object is examined to identify boundaries that have a direct resemblance to the prototype of the object type to be detected. Our analysis method removes edges using bilinear interpolation and reestablishes color sensors as lines and retracts background lines from the previous frame. Object contours are generated with clustered lines. The objects detected will then be recognized using the extraction technique. Here, we analyze the color and shape characteristics with which each object is capable of managing occlusion and interference. As an extension of object detection and recognition, F1 car simulation is experimented with simulation using various layers, such as layer drops, convolutionary layers, and boundary elimination, avoiding obstacles in different pathways.
