Development of an English Learning Model Based on Multimedia at MTS Darul Falah Ternate

This research aims to determine the pedagogical model developed in relation to the mission of the MT language group. Overall, the research was carried out using the R & D method through 4-D steps: define, design, develop, expand, and disseminate (Thiagarajan, 1974). From these 4-D steps, the first three steps in developing learning models were carried out in the first year after experiments were carried out in previous research in 2023. Furthermore, the teaching development guide manuscript was still carried out in the second year. In the second year, the teaching models that have been tested still undergo a further development stage to perfect them, and then they are tested again on a larger scale. The results in the third year will undergo the dissemination stage. The manuscript for the Guide to Developing a Multimedia-Based Teaching Model will be subjected to a limited trial to obtain input as material for improvement. So, this manuscript is still in the development stage, which will be followed by the dissemination stage in the third year

Effectiveness of multimedia-based teaching on the learning rate of anesthesia technologist students in the field of central venous pressure monitoring: A comparative study.

Traditional teaching methods alone are no longer sufficient to meet the needs of modern societies. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of central venous pressure teaching through multimedia and lecture method on learning rate of anesthesia technologist students. In this quasi-experimental study, 41 undergraduate students of anesthesia technologist were selected through the census method and randomly divided into two groups: multimedia- and lecture-based teaching. The educational content was the same for both groups and was taught by the same educator. A pre-test was administered to both groups, and a post-test was conducted two weeks after the intervention. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and paired t-test with SPSS software version 26. Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the mean scores between the two groups (P = 0.648). However, after the intervention, the learning rate significantly improved in both teaching methods (P < 0.001). Furthermore, the mean scores obtained from post-test increase in the multimedia-based group were significantly higher than the lecture-based group (P = 0.004). The results of this study indicate the effectiveness of both methods. However, considering the advantages of multimedia-based teaching, such as responding to various learning styles and higher mean scores obtained from post-test of the multimedia-based group compared to the lecture-based group, it is recommended to utilize this teaching method in medical science courses.

Revolutionizing art education: Integrating AI and multimedia for enhanced appreciation teaching

Recent teaching trends are increasingly integrating diverse multimedia and computer-aided practices to enhance representation and understanding. Leveraging data-focused strategies, these methods are further refined with artificial intelligence and decision-making techniques. To improve data handling in multimedia-based teaching representation, this article introduces an integrated data representation model aided by regression learning (IDR-RL). The proposed model satisfies the data required for different teaching methods/ subjects based on curriculum and student requirements. The data integration from different sources is performed using checksum assessment. The checksum assessment for data provides precise assimilation and content-related data-to-visual representation. In this representation, the checksums are verified for their linearity, wherein the saturation/ threshold factors are identified, and data integration is recommended. This recommendation is performed as the decision-making for preventing paused representation in live teaching sessions. The checksums are used for content coherency and complete data representations to prevent time lags in teaching. The proposed model’s performance is verified through data handling rate, integration ratio, pause time, representation time lag, and failures.

Multimedia-Based Instruction in Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) Home Economics

This research determined what multimedia the home economics professors prefer in teaching the competencies needed in the BTLEd home economics program. Also, it shows what competencies students need in the identified areas of home economics and the challenges students encounter in using various multimedia for instruction. Data was retrieved from (N=42) BTLEd Home Economics students' day and evening sessions and the (N=7) professors teaching home economics subjects. The study made use of mixed-method research. For the quantitative part, students and professors completed a questionnaire using Google Forms. Where Students Needed Competencies in the Identified Major Areas in Home Economics was presented, followed by the Preferred Multimedia-Based Instruction Used by the Home Economics Professor. A qualitative research design was used to determine the challenges encountered by the students in using multimedia in the identified major areas in Home Economics. Thematic analysis using Braun and Clarke's (2006) model was applied to analyze the qualitative data on the challenges encountered using multimedia in Home Economics. Findings revealed four major themes of student challenges encountered in multimedia: no internet access, lack of computers and gadgets, lack of familiarity with multimedia, and computer Illiterate. To ensure that every student has fair access to digital resources and the necessary skills to use them, the school has to develop a comprehensive Digital Inclusion Program. The school will be able to handle internet access, device shortages, and digital literacy in a thorough and organized way by putting this approach into place. Providing students with the necessary skills and resources for multimedia-based learning would also promote an inclusive and fair digital learning environment.&#x0D; &#x0D; Received: 1 October 2023 / Accepted: 29 February 2024 / Published: 5 March 2024

AI-Enhanced Teaching Materials for Education: A Shift Towards Digitalization

Considering recent technological advances and the growing prevalence of digitalization, Islamic educational instruction and training will need to adopt a fresh perspective. The field of artificial intelligence offers a path for additional research that has the potential to have a favorable impact on both the efficiency and the development of competencies. This article describes the process followed to create multimedia-based teaching materials for Islamic religious education subjects used in Senior High Schools in West Sumatra. These materials were designed to assist Islamic education students with their academic pursuits. While developing this model, the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) services that Dick and Carry developed were utilized during the design phase. In Islamic education, students engage in hands-on learning by interacting with previously crafted designs and observing how an evaluation of the model is built through time. These findings, implications, and potential future research areas involving artificial intelligence in Islamic religious education and training at Indonesia's senior high school level will be discussed.

Comparing the Effect of Multi-Media-Based and Traditional Teaching Methods on Single Crown Preparation Factors Using CAD System

Background: This study aimed to determine the effect of multimedia-based and traditional teaching methods on the quality of dental student preparation by evaluating its smoothness, occlusal reduction, and the presence of undercut in the pre-clinic period. Methods: This study was conducted on 60 pre-clinical dental students, who were divided into two groups of A and B. Group A was trained through Multimedia-based teaching methods, including PowerPoint, instructor demonstration, and procedural videos, and group B was trained by traditional education methods, which only included instructor demonstration. The computer-aided design (CAD) system was used to evaluate the preparation factors of smoothness, presence of undercuts, and occlusal reduction on the second premolar and first molar teeth. Results: A significant difference was found between the frequency of smoothness in two education groups for teeth 5 and 6 (P = 0.026, P = 0.022). However, there was no significant difference between the frequency distribution of occlusal reduction in the two education groups (P = 0.383 and 0.168, for teeth 5 and 6, respectively) and was no significant difference between the undercut frequency in the two education groups (P = 0.365 and 0.078 for teeth 5 and 6, respectively). Conclusions: Based on the results, multimedia-based education can effectively promote two challenging preparation factors, including occlusal reduction and smoothness among pre-clinical students.

Design and Build Learning Media to Read and Write Al-Qur'an Flash-Based

The low motivation of students/santri in learning the Koran is still one of the causes of the low quality of education, especially in the ability to read the Koran. One of the efforts to increase the motivation of students/students in learning to read the Qur'an is by using the appropriate method. Along with the development of information technology, especially in the advancement of multimedia-based teaching media, the teaching of the Qur'an can use media more effectively. The design and development of this media uses a software development model with research stages including: data collection, analysis, design, implementation and report writing. The stages of data collection were carried out using the method of literature study and interviews, while in the analysis stage, the MDLC method was used. At the design stage a structured approach is used. Process design is carried out using flow chart tools. The results of the process design are used as a basis for developing user interface designs. The design of the resulting learning media was developed using Adobe Flash CS 4 and Adobe Flash CS 6 software. With this design, it is hoped that TPA Miftakhul Jannah Mosque can increase students' learning motivation in reading the Qur'an

PERSEPSI GURU TERHADAP BAHAN AJAR BAHASA MAKASSAR BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA DI SMA/SMK/MA/SLALB DI SULAWESI SELATAN

This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of multimedia-based Makassar language and literature teaching materials so that the results can serve as guidelines in producing multimedia-based Makassar language and literature teaching materials for SMA/SMK/MA/SMALB students in South Sulawesi. The type and form of research carried out refers to the Borg and Gall model which is modified from Sugiyono. This model includes 1) Potential and problems, 2) Data collection, 3) Product design, 4) Design validation, 5) Design revision, 6) Product trials, 7) Product revision. This series of research lasted for one year with the object of research being Makassar language teachers to find out the perceptions and criteria of multimedia-based teaching materials, including the development and testing of online-based Makassar language and literature teaching materials for SMA/SMK/MA/SMALB levels in South Sulawesi on the resulting teaching materials. The results obtained in this activity are: (1) online-based Makassar language teaching materials that are appropriate and in accordance with learning outcomes, and (2) the perceptions of SMA/SMK/MA/SMALB teachers in South Sulawesi towards the multimedia-based teaching materials that have been produced.

The Effect of Interactive Multimedia-Based Learning on Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

This research was motivated by the low mathematical problem solving ability of students, and the online learning system during the covid-19 pandemic. This research aims to improve students’ mathematical problem solving ability through interactive multimedia-based teaching material as a support for online learning. This research type is a quantitative research (quasi-experimental) which was carried out at Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) and Universitas Pasir Pangaraian (UPP). The research subjects were students of mathematics education who took Structure Algebra course at UIR (experimental class) students of mathematics education and UPP (control class) in the 2021/2022 academic year. The data collection technique used is a mathematical problem solving ability test and the test result data is processed by statistical test. Normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test using Levene and also t test. Based on the result of the t-test, a significance value of 0,025 &lt; 0,05 was obtained. This means that there is an increase in the mathematical problem solving ability of student who receive from using interactive multimedia-based teaching material.

Multimedia – Based Instruction in Distance Learning and Academic Performance

Since the advancement of information technology, multimedia has been increasingly popular as a means of storing data. This study aimed to determine the level of multimedia-based instruction in distance learning as to Animation, Audio, Image, Text, level of academic performance of the Grade V pupils for S.Y. 2021-2022, and its relationship between these variables. The questionnaire, The Use of Multimedia-Based Instruction, was modified from the study of Tagaro (2021). This study made use of the descriptive and quantitative research design. The respondents were 302 Grade V pupils of East 1 District Division of Cagayan de Oro City. Frequency, Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation were used to determine the quantitative data and Pearson Product Moment Correlation (r) for the test of significant relationships between the pupils multimedia-based instruction in distance learning and academic performance. The findings show that the Level of the pupils Multimedia-Based Instruction Animation and Audio resulted in a Very High level, but Image and Text resulted in a High level, while the Academic Performance resulted in a Very Satisfactory. The aforementioned multimedia-based instruction greatly affects the academic performance of the pupils, thus rejecting the null hypothesis. It is recommended that teachers know how to handle and teach pupils under multimedia-based instruction through training, seminars, and workshops to improve the variety of activities and strategies to provide better quality teaching and learning.

The Effect of Interactive Multimedia Based Learning on Students' Mathematical Communication Ability

This research aims to improve students' mathematical communication ability through interactive multimedia-based teaching materials to support the smooth running of learning activities, especially in online learning. The method used in this research is experimental, with the research design being a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group carried out at two universities, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) and Universitas Pasir Pengaraian (UPP). The data from this study were collected through tests. The test questions given relate to communication ability. The sample of this research was prospective mathematics teacher students who contracted the Structure Algebra course at UIR (experimental class) and prospective mathematics teacher students at UPP (control class) in the 2021/2022 academic year. The data collection method used is a mathematical communication ability test and a statistical test processes the test result data. Normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test using Levene and the T-test. Based on the T-test result, a significance value of 0.016 &lt; 0.05 was obtained. It means that there is an increase in the mathematical communication ability of a student who receives learning using interactive multimedia-based teaching material.

CIPp Model In Utilizing Interactive Multimedia-Based Teaching Materials (Evaluation Study On Pertiwi 1)

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials in early childhood with the application of the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). This study used the CIPP method which has four evaluation attributes: 1) Context, 2) Input, 3) Process 4) Product. And the rating weight category with a Likert Scale with a questionnaire used in the form of 5 answer choices. Objects in product evaluation of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials that will be developed. The research was conducted by testing the evaluation model. By testing the quality of the model developed is truly tested empirically. The validation instrument is to determine the feasibility of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials developed for use by Early Childhood Children to achieve an effective learning process. Collecting data in this study using validation instruments. The data analysis technique in this study used the CIPP model to evaluate the use of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials with 12 indicators and 53 questions related to the use of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials for early childhood with an average score of 72%. Declared relevant and can be utilized in learning in early childhood. The revisions desired by the evaluator are: 1) instructions for using teaching materials are made, because in the manufacture of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials there are no guidelines for operating these interactive multimedia teaching materials. With the revision of this evaluator, the researcher made instructions or guidelines for the operation of this interactive multimedia-based teaching material. 2) suitability of the material with the daily learning implementation plan (RPPH) on interactive multimedia-based teaching materials

Use Of Interactive Learning Media To Improve Language Capabilities Early Children

This research is based on the changing "Mood" of AUD children, so this is inline with an interactive learning model, in encouraging children's curiosity for knowledge, it is important to know the teacher's strategy in using interactive learning media to improve early childhood language skills, The intended ability includes the ability that children use to communicate, both in the form of writing, speech, body code and sign language. In an effort to reveal the facts from the findings when this research was conducted, the method used in this study was a quantitative method. In its implementation, the sample from this study was tested on a limited scale and also tested on a wide scale. For the limited-scale trial consisting of 2 teachers and 1 class of children in group B1 totaling 15 people, while for the wide-scale test consisting of 2 teachers with 2 classes of children in groups B1 and B2 totaling 30 children. To support the iteration of the required data, this research in the implementation of collecting data uses direct observation and written test. The data analysis technique applied was using the average score, percentage and t-test. It is concluded that the development of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials is feasible to use to improve language skills based on limited and broad tests. And the development model is effective in improving children's language skills

Requirements Analysis of Media Development Interactive Multimedia-Based Learning on Three Dimensional Geometry Materials

Three-dimensional geometry is one of the branches of Mathematics that is considered difficult by students. This is indicated by the low score of the National Examination achieved compared to other Mathematics materials, one of the causes of the difficulty is the problem of visualizing the materials in three-dimensional geometry. This study aims to analyze the need for the development of interactive multimedia-based learning media combined with mind mapping learning methods on three-dimensional geometry material. The research method was conducted in the form of distributing questionnaires to 28 teachers and 101 students. Based on the results of the questionnaire conducted for teachers, data obtained as much as 89.29% had difficulty in conveying three-dimensional geometry material, which is caused by the difficulty of students in imagining the material without using visual aids (33.93%). In the learning process 92.86% only use the blackboard as a learning medium. Teachers agree 100% interactive multimedia tools will help visualize three-dimensional geometry material. Students also view that even this material is difficult by 77%, the biggest cause is that it is difficult to imagine (visualize) by 39.42%. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it was also found that 65.35% of students had used multimedia-based aids, 75.24% of students were interested (if any) using multimedia-based teaching tools related to three-dimensional geometry, 63.37% of students thought it could increase motivation and 68.32% will improve learning outcomes.

The Development of An Integrated Exercise Module for Basic Arabic Language Through Mobile Learning Application: A Need Analysis

In tandem with the development of technology, the use of multimedia in language learning is one of the best alternatives to make Arabic language learning more productive, effective and communicative. The use of multimedia applications has the potential to help students improve their mastery of the Arabic language, especially listening and speaking skills. However, teaching and learning Arabic language at UiTM are mainly focusing on the conventional methods where lecturers are utilizing textbook as the primary teaching resource. Some educators refuse to take advantage of technology in teaching because of the lack of multimedia learning materials and resources. Furthermore, the multimedia-based teaching materials that are currently available are not designed based on an appropriate instructional design approach which makes these educational materials irrelevant to the real needs of students. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to identify the problems and the needs of third language Arabic students at UiTM towards the development of an integrated exercise module for basic Arabic language through mobile learning application. This study is a survey based on a quantitative approach that uses a set of questionnaires as a research instrument. This questionnaire was distributed to 79 students out of 280 students who took Arabic as a third language at UiTM Shah Alam. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze this quantitative data. The findings revealed that most students agreed that learning Arabic in UiTM is only focused on the use of Arabic textbooks and the exercises provided in the books are not enough for them to master what they had learned. As a result, the students expressed the necessity of utilizing the additional multimedia learning materials in the classroom, not only to improve their Arabic language proficiency but also to perform well in tests and assignments.

Incorporating Multimedia Teaching Methods and Computational Thinking into the Baking Dessert Course

Rapid developments in motion media technology have prompted the dessert industry to incorporate both motion multimedia and social media into their marketing strategies. Modern consumption patterns have shifted dramatically toward motion multimedia, with data searching and cost-related decision-making gradually becoming a new type of consumption experience. As a result, the effective application of motion multimedia and computational thinking has become a critical skill in culinary education, as it improves students’ learning outcomes and enables them to enter the workforce with a practical modern skill. This study examines the learning outcomes of Chinese Culture University students enrolled in a dessert-making course that experimentally incorporated motion media and computational thinking into its curriculum. The results show that this approach significantly enhances students’ learning outcomes, especially in terms of creativity and teamwork, both of which are critical in dessert-making. This study makes a strong contribution to the literature by demonstrating that motion multimedia-based teaching methods and computational thinking boost learning outcomes in dessert-making education.

Assification of Interactive Multimedia-Based Teaching Materials in Class VIII Culture Arts

The title of the research is Asification of Interactive Multimedia-Based Teaching Materials in Class VIII Arts and Culture Subjects. The background of this research is that there is no material available for Class VIII Cultural Arts subjects (especially music and dance materials) that use interactive multimedia. The objectives of the research were: to compile teaching materials for the art of music and dance based on interactive multimedia in the Class VIII Cultural Arts learning in the form of a Book Creator. The target achieved in this research is to produce interactive multimedia teaching materials which are integrated into a single unit in the form of a Book Creator. The results of the study resulted in Cultural Arts teaching materials in the form of Book Creator consisting of e-books (materials for the art of music and dance), Malay music learning videos on Sri Langkat songs and techniques for playing Malay musical instruments, and Nias dance learning videos on Giri-giri dance and Nias dance techniques. It is hoped that the existence of Cultural Arts teaching materials using interactive multimedia (Book Creator) can increase students' creativity in learning Cultural Arts.

Integration of virtual microscopy podcasts in the histology discipline in osteopathic medical school: Learning outcomes.

Virtual microscopy podcasts (VMPs) are narrative recordings of digital histology images. This study evaluated the outcomes of integrating the VMPs into teaching histology to osteopathic medical students. The hypothesis was that incorporating virtual microscopy podcasts as supplementary histology resources to the curriculum would have a positive impact on student performance and satisfaction. Sixty-one podcasts of dynamic microscopic images were created using screen recordings of the digital slides. The VMPs were integrated as supplementary histology resources in multiple courses during the first and second years of the medical curriculum for three classes, a total of 477 osteopathic medical students. A voluntary and anonymous survey was obtained from the students using a questionnaire that included two open-ended questions. The overall performance of the three classes on the histology content of the preclinical course examinations was compared to historical controls of the previous two classes that did not have access to the VMPs. Most students indicated that the podcasts enabled more efficient study time and improved their confidence in the histology content on examinations. The findings indicated a positive association between podcast viewing and efficient study time utilization and class performance. The class average scores of the three consecutive cohorts that used the VMPs progressively increased by 7.69%, 14.88%, and 14.91% compared to the controls. A summary of students' feedback and academic performance supported that integration of the VMPs into Histology teaching improved the learning experience. The findings align with previous studies on the effectiveness of multimedia-based teaching in histology laboratory modules.

Teacher educators’ attitude towards technology-enabled learning and its incorporation into teaching-learning during and post-pandemic

ABSTRACT This paper reports the findings of a research study on the attitude of Indian teacher educators towards technology-enabled learning (TEL); if any age, gender, teaching position, and mode of teaching differences existed in their attitude; and their attitude to TEL post-pandemic when the imposed remote teaching may cease to exist. An online survey was conducted on 20 teacher education institutions, to which 112 educators responded. The results indicated that teacher educators had positive attitude towards TEL generally; that age, gender and teaching position did not influence their attitude to TEL, though open and distance learning (ODL) teacher educators showed more positive attitude than their campus-based counterparts. Their attitude towards use of TEL, post-Covid, focused more on the parameters of open educational resources (OER), institutional repository, multimedia-based teaching, and faculty capacity building. The results have been discussed in relation to previous research studies, the existing teacher education policy, and institutional contexts of teacher education.
