2P2-C10 空間移動ロボットの研究開発(第4報) : 空間移動ロボットの初飛行

First flight of the 3-dimentional-transportation robot (3DTR) was successfully achieved on November 22, 2005. The 3DTR is consisting of flexible airfoil, twin micro turbo jet engine and a gravity center control unit. The 3DTR meets all the following requirement for safety ; touchable (without any propellers of rotors), low down rate as same as parachute (below 1m/sec), low stole speed less than 25km/h, multi way control system and so on. The most significant specification is a large payload up to 60kg. In this report, result of the first flight is reported.

Model Predictive Control for Batch Processes Using Latent Variable Methods

A novel multivariate model predictive control strategy for trajectory tracking and disturbance rejection for batch processes, based on multi way PCA models, is presented. It directly computes the manipulated variable trajectory adjustments over a future horizon using the structure of the PCA model. The advantages and the modest data requirements are illustrated using an emulsion polymerization process for temperature tracking.

Efficient Multi-way Tree Search Algorithm for Huffman Decoder

Huffman coding which has been used in many data compression algorithms is a popular data compression technique used to reduce statistical redundancy of a signal. It has been proposed that the Huffman algorithm can decode efficiently using characteristics of the Huffman tables and patterns of the Huffman codeword. We propose a new Huffman decoding algorithm which used a multi way tree search and present an efficient hardware implementation method. This algorithm has a small logic area and memory space and is optimized for high speed decoding. The proposed Huffman decoding algorithm can be applied for many multimedia systems such as MPEG audio decoder.

Let be a probability measure on a finite set I , with I as a support. Let be a reai function on I. The aim of this article is to prove that we can express such a function as a sum of non constants functions orthogonal with respect to the inner product considered as the integral, of the product of two functions, with respect to the probability measure. This result can easily be generalized to the finite product of finite sets on which a product probability measure is defined. From this deoomposition an exact partition of X 2 on multi way contingency tables is easily proved.
