1. Work-hardening theory for polycrystalline metals has been used in two schemes for analyzing thermomechanical treatment modes. 2. High-temperature strain, including in several passes, should be characterized by two values for the strain determined correspondingly from the residual shape change and from the dislocation density. Therefore, defining working conditions should amount to identifying the optimum combination of these quantities by varying the temperature and the strain per pass.
