Model Construction of College Engineering Drawing Teaching System Based on Artificial Intelligence Network Technology

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, particularly in engineering drawing courses, enhances content richness and engagement, stimulating student enthusiasm and improving teaching quality. This paper examines the design of a multimedia teaching system incorporating virtual reality (VR) for engineering drawing. Key technologies such as graphics processing, 3D modeling, and dynamic databases are researched. Tools like Dreamweaver, Fireworks, SolidWorks, and 3DS MAX are used to create and integrate 3D models into web pages, forming a 3D model library. This library provides a flexible, content-rich, online learning environment that promotes self-study, enhances spatial imagination, and improves the quality of engineering drawing education. Establishing a virtual model library supports multimedia teaching and replaces traditional physical model rooms.

The effects of e-learning using educational multimedia on the ethical decision-making and professionalism of nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic: a quasi-experimental study

BackgroundThe COVID-19 pandemic has created a great challenge for educational systems worldwide. During this time, educational centers have been encouraged to use e-learning programs to protect the population against infection. Online teaching has the greatest effect on the process of teaching-learning for certain topics, including professional behavior and commitment, which has prompted educational systems to use creative strategies for a greater effect on learners. The present study aims to determine the effects of e-learning using educational multimedia on the ethical decision-making and professionalism of nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic.MethodsThis study was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with a control group. The statistical population comprised second-semester nursing students in a first-rank nursing school in north western Iran. The samples were selected using simple random sampling and were divided into experimental (n = 40) and control (n = 40) groups. In the first stage of teaching, the conventional training method of the COVID-19 pandemic was used in both groups. In the second stage of teaching, an in-person workshop was organized for the control group and an e-learning workshop using educational multimedia for the experimental group. Data were collected by a tool with three parts: Demographic information, the Nursing Dilemma Test (NDT) by Crisham based on the Nurse Principled Thinking, and the Nursing Students Professional Behaviors Scale (NSPBS) designed by Goz. Data were analyzed in SPSS 25 software.ResultsThere was a statistically significant increase in the post-test mean score of professionalism (125.70 ± 6.20 vs. 120.95 ± 9.28) and ethical decision-making (46.17 ± 3.81 vs. 44.02 ± 3.21) in the experimental group compared to the control group (P < 0.05).ConclusionThe learning environment affects learning, and e-learning using educational multimedia has a greater impact than in-person workshops on improved learning outcomes with regard to ethical decision-making and professionalism.

Exploration of Strategies for Improving English Listening and Speaking Abilities of Students in Higher Vocational Colleges

This paper aims to explore strategies for improving English listening and speaking skills among students in higher vocational colleges. Through analyzing the current status of students' English listening and speaking abilities in these colleges, and integrating language acquisition theories, English listening and speaking teaching strategies, as well as multimedia teaching and autonomous learning theories, a series of targeted improvement strategies are proposed. Using empirical research methods, this paper verifies the effectiveness of the proposed strategies and provides suggestions for English teaching in higher vocational colleges. The research results indicate that significant improvements in students' English listening and speaking abilities can be achieved by enhancing teaching methods, creating an English listening and speaking environment, intensifying listening and speaking training, and cultivating students' autonomous learning skills.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in Heritage Education: A Multimedia Approach to ‘Phra Aphai Mani’

Even though classic literature has cultural and educational value in heritage education, students often have trouble becoming interested because of the archaic language, a lack of good learning materials, the idea that the literature is not relevant, and complicated plots. This research aims to enhance heritage education by identifying barriers and drivers in youth engagement with classic Thai literature and exploring how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles could be applied to increase motivation in learning classic literature through multimedia. Ten interviews with experts, 100 on-site questionnaires filled out by students aged 15–25 years, and a multimedia e-book were used together in this mixed-methods study. As a case study, the researchers asked both experts and students to read the Thai classic poem “Phra Aphai Mani: Escaping from the Sea Witch” and make suggestions for how it could be better. The results show that there are barriers to heritage education, such as ‘the story is not connected to the present’ (mean = 4.52/5), ‘archaic vocabulary and language barriers’ (mean = 4.36/5), and ‘learning materials’ (mean = 4.25/5). Surprisingly, Thai students showed more positive attitudes towards literature courses than expected based on international trends. Key drivers for enhancing heritage education include ‘classic literature in modern, easy-to-read language’ (mean = 4.65/5), ‘including multimedia’ (mean = 4.58/5), ‘the plot/story adapted to the current era’ (mean = 4.50/5), and ‘new presenting technologies’ (mean = 4.49/5). Next, as an innovative way to improve heritage education, this study developed a free e-book titled “Phra Aphai Mani: Escaping from the Sea Witch”, which includes motion graphics and other multimedia elements. This research contributes to knowledge by demonstrating how UDL can be applied to classic literature within heritage education, enhancing understanding of student needs, and creating more effective, inclusive multimedia teaching methods for preserving and transmitting cultural heritage.

PECULIARITIES OF TEACHING THE DISCIPLINE "ORTHOPEDIC DENTISTRY, INCL. IMPLANTATION" SPP DENTISTRY AT MILITARY CONDITION

In the conditions of rapid development of modern dentistry, the providing of high-quality dental services is extremely important and requires the presence of qualified specialists. Therefore, their acquisition of professional competences should take place starting from the student ranks. Educational discipline "Orthopedic dentistry, incl. implantation" OPP Dentistry is studied by students during 3-5 courses and ensures that students acquire integral, general and professional competencies for the future provision of high-quality dental consultations and services with the use and application of modern aesthetic orthopedic structures for the replacement of partial and complete defects of the dentition, as well as elimination of pathology, which contributes to the occurrence of defects in the hard tissues of the teeth. In addition, the process of examining patients in order to establish a diagnosis and draw up a treatment plan is important. Therefore, the application of the latest teaching methods includes a combination of both theoretical knowledge and practice and consolidation of acquired and properly mastered practical skills. The education of foreign students is of great importance, which, in connection with military actions and constant air alerts caused by the danger caused by the activity of enemy strategic aviation taking place in our country, is conducted in a mixed format (online for students who are at home (by border) and offline for foreign students living and studying in Ukraine) using innovative multimedia teaching methods. The constant and continuous development of modern technologies in the field of stomatology also requires the introduction of the latest training tools and methods associated with the use of modern methods and technological support. All these challenges today are combined with student education, which takes place under martial law and requires a special approach. Therefore, it is important to provide education seekers with proper professional and safe learning conditions, which will make it possible to fully and comprehensively provide a comprehensive complex of both theoretical and practical training of future dental specialists. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the clear consolidation and mutual cooperation of teachers and students, the learning process not only does not stop, but also continues to develop productively, making it possible to provide and provide a sufficient amount of professional competences under the condition of simultaneous and parallel objective control of the acquisition and consolidation of appropriate level of knowledge of students of all courses and areas of dentistry. The purpose of the study is directed to the organization and implementation of the latest teaching methods with the maximum use of modern equipment and methods while respecting life safety. Materials and methods. The Department of Orthopedic Dentistry of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University implements the educational program "Orthopedic Dentistry, incl. implantation" SPP Dentistry in military time conditions, aimed at students' acquisition of integral, general and professional competencies for the future provision of high-quality dental services. Research results. They indicate the need to introduce the latest actions and methods of training in connection with the constant development of modern technologies in the branch of dentistry. The conclusions of this study indicate the presence of feedback from students who is interested and stimulated by a new approach in studying, combined with real clinical cases and modern methods of their treatment and orthopedic treatment.

Utilizing 3D Point Clouds and Deep Learning Technology in Multimedia Instruction for Sports Mechanics

In this paper, an optimization model based on 3D point cloud and deep learning theory is constructed, which improves the fluency and accuracy of multimedia sports operation. The model has performed well in sports mechanics teaching and proved its outstanding performance. It is found that the changes of the three kinds of point clouds have different laws, and the spherical neighborhood gradually decreases, while the adjacent neighborhood shows an upward fluctuation trend. The neighborhood of cylinder shows linear and nonlinear characteristics. The parameter curve of point cloud model fluctuates greatly, and the curve corresponding to function output value fluctuates widely, while the curve corresponding to feature extraction method fluctuates relatively little. The ability training index plays a significant role in improving the model output, the multimedia input index fluctuates well, and the teaching method index shows an approximate linear change law. The accuracy of the model is verified by data calculation method, which provides theoretical guidance for multimedia sports mechanics teaching.

The Animation of Emoticons and its Application in Primary School Teaching Courseware

With the advent of information age, PPT multimedia teaching courseware is used more and more in primary school science class, which plays a vital role in teachers' teaching. Therefore, teachers should pay more attention to how to make high quality PPT multimedia teaching courseware. As a new form of communication, the use of emoticons has become normalized. In the process of education and teaching, teachers can use emoticons to convey teaching knowledge other than words. By comparing several software that can produce animation, this study found that Adobe After Effects software can better produce exquisite emoticons. In addition, some teachers are technically deficient in the production of emoticons. The purpose of this study is to provide some teachers with simple technical guidance for making emoticon animations. What's more, this study also carries on the feasibility analysis of the application of the teaching courseware containing emoticons in actual teaching.

Information and Communication Technology: Learners’ Perspectives on Multimedia Instructional Materials Used In Teaching at Marawi City National High School

The study aimed to determine the learners’ perspectives on the Multimedia Instructional Materials used in teaching at Marawi City National High School. The study used descriptive method and utilized survey-questionnaires, these contained three parts, first, what is the profile of the respondents, second, the kinds of multimedia instructional materials used in teaching, and third, the implications can be drawn from the findings of the study. Frequency, percentage and weighted mean were used as statistical tools to analyze the data. Upon the retrieval of the instruments, it was directly tabulated and interpreted. The results revealed that 50.00% of the respondents’ ages ranged from 17-19 years old, 60.00% of the respondents were male. Likewise, 64.00% of the respondents agreed PowerPoint Presentation was always used as multimedia instruction. The respondents’ perception on the multimedia instructional materials used in teaching showed the overall mean average of 2.34; standard deviation= 0.91 which mean agreed to all the indicators or the perception given in the questionnaire regarding the use of multimedia instructional materials in teaching. Moreover, the results implied that multimedia instructional materials being used in teaching helped the learners attentively engaged in classroom discussions, it helps learners think critically and supports retain useful information. It is recommended to teachers to always use multimedia instructions to help the learners understand the concept of the topic, increase their interests and motivation, and hold their attention to the classroom discussion.

Storytelling in videos: A novel way to teach qualitative research

This study investigates the impact of instructional materials and multimedia integration on student engagement, comprehension and learning preferences within Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) qualitative research course. Three key measures were examined: the effectiveness of instructional materials, the impact of video content on the learning experience, and the relationship between learning preferences and exposure to storytelling videos. Data was collected through surveys administered to students enrolled in a qualitative research course. Results from Measure 1 indicate a strong positive correlation between students’ perception of the effectiveness of storytelling cases and their ability to recall qualitative research approaches after viewing accompanying videos. A significant proportion of students reported increased engagement with course content, attributing it to the utilisation of storytelling cases. Measure 2 findings reveal that students who found watching videos meaningful for discussion boards and perceive videos as helpful in improving focus are more likely to rate viewing videos instead of reading research articles as high in value. In addition, Measure 3 demonstrates that students who have learned via storytelling videos more frequently in academic classes prior to this course are more likely to prefer visual or auditory learning and thus perceive offering a range of learning activities in online courses as important. These findings underscore the importance of innovative instructional approaches such as storytelling and multimedia integration in enhancing student learning experiences and outcomes in online programmes.

Effectiveness of multimedia education on the childbearing intention in one-child women: a field trial study

Backgroundchildbearing is a key component of population movements and sustainable development in low-fertility nations. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the impact of multimedia education on the childbearing intention in One-child women of Maragheh city.MethodIn this intervention study in Maragheh in 2023, 94 women with one child were randomly selected and placed in two intervention and control groups. Before the intervention, people were examined using demographic information and Miller’s questionnaire of desire to have children. Then, For the intervention group, three 60-minute multimedia training videos were shown in person for three weeks, and the control group did not receive any training. The data were collected using the researcher’s demographic questionnaire and Miller’s childbearing questionnaire in three stages before the intervention, immediately after and six weeks after the intervention. Data analysis was done with SPSS version 16 software.ResultsThere was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the average score of desire to have children and demographic variables (p > 0.05). Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the intervention and control groups in terms of the demographic characteristics of the subjects and the average score of women’s willingness to have children in the positive and negative dimensions. While after the multimedia educational intervention, the average score of desire to have children in positive and negative dimensions, immediately after the intervention and six weeks after the intervention, had a significant difference compared to before the intervention (p < 0.001).ConclusionThe findings of the study showed that carrying out multimedia educational interventions to single-child women can have a positive effect on their desire to have children. It seems that the implementation of such programs is effective in the conscious decision of families to have children and ultimately increases the intention of the individual to carry out the behavior.Trial registrationIranian Registry of Clinical Trials: IRCT20230227057549N1. Multimedia in Social Work Education: An In-Depth Exploration of Current Practices and Challenges in Bangladeshi Government Colleges

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current practices, opportunities, and challenges of using multimedia in social work teaching at a government college in Bhola, Bangladesh. Qualitative research methodology was used to get information from the respondents. The data was gathered using three different methods: semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and classroom observations. The respondents included both faculty and honors-level students from social work backgrounds. Interviews were conducted with two instructors, observations were made in two classes, and ten students took part in two focus group discussions (FGDs). Finally, using a thematic approach, data were analyzed, interpreted, and presented. The study's findings revealed that incorporating multimedia in the classroom makes teaching easier and is beneficial for the students. Students can actively engage in a multimedia classroom, which often inspires them to study. People perceive multimedia-based classes to be more structured than traditional teaching methods. Conversely, the research shows that the social work classes are deficient in the essential resources, infrastructure, and funding required for effective functioning. The study was self-funded, completed within a short timeframe, and conducted during the global outbreak of the Corona pandemic. The study's implication was that it helped the researcher explore the current scenario of using multimedia for teaching social work in the context of government college education in Bangladesh.

The multimedia development process involves character design, animation, and interactive scenarios using Adobe Animate. This multimedia is designed to be easily accessible to various user levels, taking into consideration the aspects of user experience design.Evaluation results indicate that interactive multimedia created with Adobe Animate is effective in improving the biological concepts understanding of the human body. The interactive interface provides a more engaging learning experience, motivating users to explore further information and enhancing the retention of the concepts taught.This research contributes to the utilization of Adobe Animate as an effective tool for creating educational multimedia. With this approach, it is expected that the teaching of the human body can become more interesting and accessible to various learner groups. Additionally, the findings of this research may pave the way for the development of interactive multimedia based on Adobe Animate in the context of science education.

Guidelines to support the design, and selection and appraisal of multimedia teaching aids for microbiology education.

Microbiology education has a serious handicap - the lack of visibility of the players of the subject and their interactions - which engenders a disproportionate reliance upon multimedia teaching aids (MTAs). The International Microbiology Literacy Initiative (IMiLI) is creating educational resources in societally-relevant microbiology complemented by appropriate MTAs. However, proper guidance supporting microbiology educators in locating and selecting, or commissioning the creation of, adequate MTAs for different target audiences and learning objectives is lacking. The aims of this study were to (i) identify important considerations regarding educational/didactical standards and the design of educational multimedia and (ii) create an evidence-based guideline for selecting and appraising existing, and informing the creation of new, microbiology MTAs. This investigation is based on an exploratory, mixed-methods approach. The results of two literature reviews (covering educational and good practice multimedia design) informed the collation of a preliminary appraisal guideline for videos, animations, comics, and video games. A web-scraping approach was utilised to locate and retrieve existing exemplars of the four multimedia types and create four pertinent multimedia databases (including metadata). The preliminary guideline was piloted (and revised accordingly) by appraising quasi-random (or purposive) samples of each multimedia type. Educational multimedia experts were interviewed to discuss the findings. Finally, the guideline was updated to reflect the expert comments together with the results of the pilot appraisals. The final guideline has four components: (i) central considerations for selecting and appraising multimedia for specific audiences and educational purposes, (ii) multimedia selection tool, (iii) multimedia appraisal tools, and (iv) extensive background information as appendices linking all sections for further comprehension. Broad utilisation of the guideline has significant potential for simplifying and systematising multimedia selection/creation, leading to superior multimedia-based learning outcomes, establishing a rapid selection database (pre-appraised multimedia), reducing disparities in microbiology education and incentivising educational content creators.

Exploration of Innovative Teaching Paths in the Classroom of “The Outline of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History”

The purpose of “The Outline of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History” is to help college students grasp the entire process of historical development, summarize experiences correctly, understand the national history and conditions, deeply understand why history and the people made the “four choices,” and stimulate their patriotism, national pride and self-confidence. This article is based on the reform of multimedia teaching methods and carries out the construction of the “Outline” course from six dimensions: improving teaching methods, strengthening teaching material construction, improving online teaching, extracurricular training mode, strengthening teacher team construction and reforming the examination system. Efforts are made to build this course into a high-quality course, making it a course that college students truly love and benefit from.

Animation and Manga on Improvement in Students’ Problem-Solving Capabilities: Comparison of Two Psychometric Models

To improve the problem-solving capabilities of students, this study explored using interactive digital teaching materials based on animation and manga. A classroom teaching system was developed based on teaching material using a manga format. Students from a national university and a science and technology university in southern Taiwan were recruited. A questionnaire survey was administered for data collection. A total of 104 valid samples were collected; the data were analysed using SPSS 17.0. Two statistically significant models could be used to predict learning outcomes, and the highest R2 value was 52.5%. The utilisation of interactive multimedia teaching materials based on animation and manga helped students apply knowledge to solve practical problems, cultivating their problem-solving capabilities. The findings differed from previous studies; models developed in this study could be used to determine the effects and relationships of multiple factors.

Research on the Application of Multimedia Image Processing Technology in Sports Sociology Education

In order to cope with sports events, it is difficult for cameras to accurately extract exciting moments during the competition. This article constructs a multimedia information system for sports sociology education. In terms of methodology, low-density architectures are used to measure and encode sparse signals, and the signal is reconstructed at the receiving end. By calculating the marginal probability distribution of each variable node, the reconstructed image is obtained. The experimental results show that this method performs well in detecting lens mutations and gradients, with a higher recall rate than other algorithms. The accuracy, recall rate, and F-value indicators have significantly improved, reaching 6.328%, 4.27%, and 6.012%, respectively. This method is superior to existing game shot extraction methods and lays the foundation for further detecting exciting events in sports competitions. In summary, this study has important guiding significance for the application of multimedia image processing technology in the field of sports sociology education.
