APPLICATION OF SNOWBALL THROWING TO IMPROVE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF SOCIAL SCIENCE (IPS) GEOGRAPHY OF STUDENTS IN GRADE VIII C MUHAMMADIYAH 1 JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL SUKOHARJO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of IPS geography through Snowball Throwing cooperative learning methods for students in grade VIII C Muhammadiyah 1 junior hihg school Sukoharjo in the academic 2017/2018. This from of research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles each cycle consisting of two meetings, with four stages of research : Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection The subjects of this research were VIII C grade students of Sukoharjo Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School in the academic year of 2017/2018. With a total pf 21 students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, tests and documentation. The data analysis used in this research was qualitative deaccriptive analysis.The results of this study are to improve the learning outcomes of geography ips social science.This is shown in the learning outcomes of students before and after applying Snowball Throwing model cooperative learning, namely the learning outcomes of students who get KKM scores of 38,09 % increases to 52,38 % in cycle 1 and another increases in cycle 2 to 86,70 % from before. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that with application of Snowball Throwing Cooperative learning model can improve learning outcomes of IPS geography for students in class VIII C Junior High School Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo in the academic year 2017/2018.

Pemasaran Jasa Pendidikan dan Implementasinya sebagai Strategi Pengembangan Pendidikan di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Depok Sleman Yogyakarta

This research focused on the experience of Muhammadiyah Junior High School I (SMP 1) in Depok Sleman Yogyakarta in improving students trust and choice to study in the institution through an education marketing strategy. How the strategy of marketing is developed and work for educational services and its implementation is highlighted in this study. Using a qualitative research this paper utilizes the marketing strategy theory approach to educational services. The data were collected through: (1) observation, (2) documentation, and (3) in-depth interviews with school principals, public relations staff, student affairs, parents and students. It was validated by using source and technical triangulation technique in a qualitative research. The results of the study indicated that: First, the marketing strategy of educational services in improving the educational services in SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Depok, involves: (1) internal, (2) external, and (3) interactive marketing strategies. Second, the implementation of marketing strategies in improving education services in SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Depok covers: (1) implementing market selection strategies by segmenting the market, targeting and positioning. (2) establishing the marketing mix by applying quality products from this junior high school, highlighting its geographical location, applying competitive prices, and carrying out promotional steps. Third, the supporting and inhibiting factors of the marketing strategy in the school were summarized in the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis.

Hubungan Tingkat Keterampilan Mengajar Guru Perempuan pada Bidang Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam terhadap Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik di SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung Kec. Bajeng Kab. Gowa

This research aimed to find out the teaching skill of Islamic Religious Education teachers wowen , the result of the students’ learning outcome, and the relation between the teachers’ women skill andthe students’ learning outcome at Muhammadiyah junior high school Limbung, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the relation between the teachers’women teaching skill and the learning outcomes of the students at Muhammadiyah junior high school Limbung, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. This study applied quantitative descriptive research method. The population of the study was all of 3 teachers women and all students as many as 362 people. In addition, the sampeling technique in selecting the teacherswas Saturated sampling while the 34 samples from the students were selected using Random Samplin technique.. The instruments implemented in this study were questionnaires, interview guides, and documentation with inferential statistical analysis using Proudact Moment correlation techniques. The result of the research showed that the teaching skill of the teacher of Islamic education was 26,058 which was categorized as skillful, the result of students' learning outcome was 8,411 which was categorized as high, while the result of the data analysis obtained was r = 1.344. Hence, it was revealed that the relationship between the teaching skills of the teacher women of Islamic religious education and the learning outcome of the students at Muhammadiyah junior high school Limbung was categorized as very high.

DEVELOPMENT OF E-MODUL BASED ON HIGH ORDER THINKING SKILL PROBLEM WITH STUDENTS TEAM ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION OF LEARNING MODEL IN ALGEBRA

The lack of media and learning facilities, and the lack of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, makes learning less exciting and monotonous. This study aims to develop e-modules based on HOTS questions with Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) learning models and determine the quality of e-modules developed. This study refers to the ADDIE model with Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. This study's subjects were teachers and 7th-grade students of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Ngemplak and SMP Negeri 2 Ngemplak. This study's object is an e-module based on HOTS questions with STAD learning models on algebraic form material. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire assessment by material experts, media experts, and students. Data analysis techniques in the form of qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive. The results showed that material experts in the aspects of conformity, completeness, convenience, and clarity received values of 86%, 80%, 87%, and 88%, respectively. The media experts in effectiveness, ease, suitability, completeness, and communicative and interactive scores were 93%, 93%, 92%, 90%, and 92%. The average results of student responses from the two schools on convenience, clarity, suitability, appearance, attractiveness are 90%, 90%, 90%, 94%, and 92%. So it can be concluded that the e-module produced is classified both in terms of material, very good in terms of media, and very practical in its use.

ANALISIS TINGKAT KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK DITINJAU DARI GAYA BELAJAR KELAS VII SMP

This research is motivated by observations at Muhammadiyah junior high school number 3 in Bandar Lampung that ability of students to solve mathematical problems have different thinking skills, diverse learning styles possessed by students in absorbing and processing information while the learning process is taking place and educators have never tested specifically creative thinking and learning styles. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of mathematical creative thinking abilities of students as seen from the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles by Muhammadiyah junior high school number 3 in Bandar Lampung. Subjects for this research were conducted in VIIB and VIIE classes by taking subjects by purposive sampling, namely 2 subjects of visual learning style, 2 subjects in auditory learning styles and 2 subjects of kinesthetic learning styles. The results of this research is to indicate that students with visual learning styles are classified as level 1 (less creative), students with auditorial learning styles are classified as level 1(less creative) and kinesthetic learning is classified as level 1 (less creative) and as level 3( creative).

Needs analysis of Islamic-based English reading material for the Muhammadiyah junior high school

<span>This research aimed to report the need for Islamic-based English teaching materials for the Muhammadiyah junior high Schools, specified for reading skill. Data collection techniques in this research were the semi-structured interview and focus group discussion with four English teachers as participant form the Muhammadiyah schools. Data analysis was conducted by interactive data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. This research concluded that the needs of developing Islamic based English teaching material are necessary for the Muhamamadiyah schools to achieve the national education goal and for Islamic faith itself. The development based on text-based approach by replacing content with Islamic-related content, Islamic discourse, <br /> integrated language skill, use student-centered teaching and also increasing cultural awareness.</span>

The Developmment of the Assessment's Instrument Based on Higher Order Thinking Skills To Measure Dimension of Persuasive Text Skills on Students Of Class VIII in Junior High School Muhammadiyah 7 Medan

This research deals with the development of the assessment’s instrument based on higher order thinking skills to measure dimension of persuasive text skills on students of class VIII in junior high school Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. The type of this research is research and development. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling technique. The result shows that the process of developing assessment instruments is based on Higher Order Thinking Skills on Indonesian language subjects in junior high school Muhammadiyah 7 Medan through 4 stages, there are: (1) Preparation of Tests, (2) Selection of Media (3) Selection of Formats (4) Initial design results by composing stories board, make layouts by paying attention to the color and composition and fill the layout with activities in the form of, activity 1 contains the mapping of KI, KD, and indicators, as well as 10 multiple choice questions and 5 description questions. Activity 2 contains the mapping of KI, KD, and indicators as well as 15 multiple choice questions and 5 description questions and scoring, answer keys, glossary and bibliography.

DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICS LEARNING MEDIA WITH SNAKE AND LADDER GAME ON THE CIRCLE MAIN DISCUSSION

The mathematic concept can be presented in a game snake and ladder to make it more interesting, more interactive. It can increase the students' quality of study, yet learning media used in school is minimal. Minimal research aims to develop mathematic learning media with snake and ladder game on the circle main discussion central circle in the third grade of junior high school that is proper for the mathematic learning process. This research is counted as research and development using the ADDIE model consisting of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects The specialist subjects media specialist, students of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 1 Minggir Sleman Regency, and State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 3 Gamping Sleman Regency. Data analysis technique The qualitative data analysis is changed to be quantitative values using a Likert scale. Data collection technique The data this research used observation, interview, and questionnaire. The product of learning media developed is in the form of a compact disk (CD) that has gone through scoring and validating by three mathematic learning subject experts and three experts of mathematic learning media. The result from the subject experts is in the category of very good. The result from the media experts is in the very good category, and the result of students' responses is in a suitable category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the learning media that is developed is proper to be used in the mathematic leering process.

Strategic Management of Increasing Competency of Students Through Strengthening Character Education (PPK) and School Literation Movement (GLS) at Muhammadiyah Junior High School Margasari

Strengthening Character Education (PPK) and the School Literacy Movement (GLS) are two very important movements in the world of education today. Both are movements that can improve Student Competence in both attitudinal, knowledge and skills competencies. The purpose of this study is to describe the process or stages of strategic management in the form of Scanning, Formating, Implementing and Evaluating in PPK and GLS at Muhammadiyah Margasari Middle School in Tegal Regency. This study uses qualitative research. Data analysis methods used are (1) Data Collection (2) Data Reduction (3) Data Display (4) Conclusion Drawing / Verification. The results of this study are Muhammadiyah Margasari Middle School implementing the stages of strategic management in PPK and Literacy. The stages are First, Scanning includes External and Internal Environmental Analysis with SWOT Analysis. Second, Formating through (1) Formulation of Vision, Mission, Core Value (2) Formulation of integrated School Objectives in PPK and Literacy (3) Formulation of Short and Medium Term School Strategic Plans that contain strategic programs, targets, strategies, funds and resources to improve competency of students through Strengthening Character Education (PPK) and School Literacy Movement (GLS), indicators of success. Third, Implementing is the implementation of improving the quality of students through PPK and Literacy activities including (1) PPK based on class, school and community. (2) GLS habituation, learning and development. Fourth, Evaluating is an evaluation of activities that have been carried out through School Self Evaluation for follow-up and continuous improvement.

The problematic: Teachers’ pedagogical ability in using technology on mathematics learning of junior high school

Technology has a positive influence on students. It improves students’ achievement, motivation and attitudes towards learning mathematics. Unfortunately, based on some observations, there still found teachers who did not use technology in mathematics learning. This study aimed to describe the pedagogical ability of teachers to use technology in mathematics learning. It used qualitative descriptive research approach, while research subjects were 3 teachers of Junior high school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire and interview. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that (1) pedagogical ability of first teacher in using the technology was medium; (2) pedagogic ability of second teacher in using technology was high; (3) pedagogic ability of third teacher in using technology was medium; (4) factors led the inability of first teacher and third teacher in using technology in learning were the infrastructure, teacher competence, motivation of teachers, and the school environment.

Profile of students’ mathematical representation ability in solving geometry problems

Mathematical representation is students’ ability in expressing mathematical ideas in the form of drawings, mathematical equations, and words/written text. Mathematical representation is needed in solving mathematical problems. This research aims to find out the profile of students’ mathematical representation in solving geometry problems. The research method uses descriptive with subjects of 33 students of class VIII Junior High School Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. Data is collected by a mathematical representation test. Data analysis show that there are 21.21% of students with high representation ability, 33.33% students with moderate representation ability, and 45.46% of students with low representation ability. Based on the results, it is known that most of the students still have low mathematical representation ability. Students find it difficult to understand problems and write equations correctly. This is because students are not used to solving problems in the form of visual, verbal, and symbolic representations. Therefore, the teacher must train the students’ mathematical representation skills by applying multiple representation learning models.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEARNING INTEREST AND LEARNING AREA IN THE HOME WITH MATHEMATICS LEARNING OUTCOMES IN STUDENTS CLASS VII

The low interest in student learning can be seen from students paying less attention when math lessons are taking place. The noisy home situation makes it difficult for students to concentrate on learning mathematics at home. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning and the learning environment at home with the learning outcomes of mathematics in students class VII MTs Muhammadiyah Gedongtengen Yogyakarta semester in the academic Year Of 2017/2018. This study's population was all students of class VIII odd semester at State Junior High School (MTs) Muhammadiyah Gedongtengen Yogyakarta in 2017/2018, consisting of 2 classes. The sample was taken from class VII B, which consisted of 21 students—the data collection ware test techniques and non - test. The data collection instruments were collected using a questionnaire and test methods. Test research instruments used were validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. The prerequisite test used was a normality test, linearity test, and independent test. Analysis of data used product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning and the learning environment at home with the results of learning mathematics with F count = 5,3828 dan F table = 3,55 so that F count >F table, the double correlation coefficient of (R) 0,6118 and the coefficient of determination double (R 2 ) 0,3742. While the double regression equation Ŷ = 16,57 + 0,35 X₁ + 0,42 X₂ and obtained too RC = 40,15% and RC = 59,85% and EC = 15,03% and EC = 22,4%.

THE CORRELATION OF PARENTS ATTENTION, INTELLIGENCE QUOTIENT, AND STUDENT INTEREST TO MATHEMATICS OUTCOMES ON THE SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMP

The poor student's outcome correlates with some factors. They are parent's attention, Intelligence Quotient (IQ), and student’s interest. This research is aimed at the positive and significant correlation of parent's attention, intelligence quotient, and student’s interest to the mathematic outcome on the seventh-grade student of Muhammadiyah Junior High School (SMP Muhammadiyah) Pleret Bantul in the second semester academic year 2016/2017. This research population is all the seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret Bantul in the second semester academic year 2016/2017. It consists of six classes. Thirty-two students of VII B students were chosen to be the sample, and it uses random sampling. The data were collected by questionnaire, documentation, and test method. The questionnaire is used to collect a parent's attention and student’s interest data. The test is used to collect the student's outcome. The research instrument test uses a validity test, reliability test, and discrimination test. The prerequisite analysis test consists of normality tests, linearity tests, and independence tests. The data analysis to test the hypotheses use product-moment correlation analysis and double linear regression analysis. The results show a positive and significant correlation of parent's attention, intelligence quotient, and student’s interest in mathematics outcome. The double correlation coefficient (R) is 0,649, and the determination coefficient (R 2 ) is 0,422. Linear regression equation . DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATIC LEARNING MEDIA ON POLYGON MATERIALS BASED ON MACROMEDIA FLASH PROFESSIONAL 8

The use of instructional media in mathematics learning has not been maximally utilized. The teaching materials used are difficult to understand. The limitations of learning media cause students to feel difficulties in understanding the material. This development research aims to determine the development of mathematics learning media on Polygonmaterial based on Macromedia flash professional eight and the feasibility of mathematics learning media products in supporting mathematics learning on Polygonmaterial. This study uses the Research and Development (R & D) research and development model developed covering the research and data collection stages, planning, developing draft products, initial field trials, and revising trials' results. Subjects in the research and development of learning media were material experts, media experts, and students' responses to Muhammadiyah Junior High School 2 (SMP 2 Muhammadiyah) Depok and State Junior High School 4 (SMP Negeri 4) Patuk. This study's object is a medium of learning mathematics of Polygonmaterial based on Macromedia flash professional 8. This learning media has gone through a revision stage based on suggestions and input from material experts and media experts and student responses. The results showed that the assessment by material experts averaged 73.67 with very good categories. The assessment by media experts on average was 51.67 with good categories, and the assessment of student responses averaged 74.92 with excellent categories. These results show that mathematics learning media on Polygonmaterials based on Macromedia Flash Professional 8 is suitable for the learning process and gets positive responses from students.

Pendampingan Lesson Study untuk Menciptakan Learning Community bagi Guru Matematika di SMP Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Bantul

Increasing the professionalism of an educator is important. One effort that can be done to improve professionalism is the collaboration between educators. Lesson study is an activity that can facilitate educators to observe each other's learning processes. Training activities and mentoring learning studies are carried out to create a learning community for mathematics teachers. The target of this activity is the Muhammadiyah Junior High School / MTs math teacher in Bantul Regency. The target of this service activity is the educator of learning problems that can be learned in learning activities. The practice of lesson study can be done at the level of the Subject Teacher Training (MGMP). Two activities in training activities which included lecture and discussion activities, as well as mentoring activities that contained lesson lessons. This activity is successful and can provide experience for participants

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ULAR TANGGA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 15 LAMONGAN

The problems that occurred in Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan is learners feel saturated with teaching methods of lectures from teachers without involving students to take an active role in learning. The students still lack creativity in learning IPS materials. This is because teachers are more active in the classroom by using lecture learning methods and learning media LKS. The purpose of this research is to: (1) to develop learning media of Snake Ladder social education subjects VIII grade Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan, (2) to know the feasibility of learning media Snake Ladder IPS subjects for grade VIII Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan students assessment of material experts and media experts. This thesis uses a research and development approach or Research and Development (R&D) with the development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation Evaluation. The result of the research is (1) The researcher conducting field trials conducted to 15 students in the experimental group class VIII Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan. The field trial prototype gets an 87% percentage so that it is converted to a valid qualification level. (2) The feasibility of the media engineering aspects of the 21 statements is categorized as feasible. Assessment of the lecturer is 75% interesting enough the level of validity can be used with small revisions. Thus media ladder snakes in the assessment of media experts worthy of use as a medium of learning junior high school students. (3) Media learning snake ladder on the material changes in Indonesian society during the colonial period and the growth of nationalism spirit can effectively improve the learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan. The Correlation between Perception of GIST Strategy and Students’ Writing Descriptive Text at Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Gresik

Writing can represent students‟ ability because it is covered some aspects. They are the usage of appropriate words, the usage of correct grammatical, and the usage of good marks. The problems which are faced by the students are they do not know what they are going to write and they can write but their writing is not in good organization although the teacher had explained about the generic structure of the text. Here, the researcher focuses on the GIST strategy which is used by teacher in teaching writing descriptive text. In this study, the researcher wants to know whether there is a correlation between perception of GIST strategy and students‟ writing descriptive text at Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Gresik. Besides, the researcher also want to know whether there is correlation between perception of GIST strategy and students‟ writing descriptive text according to the gender at Muhmmadiyah Junior High School 1 Gresik. This study uses correlation design. The researcher conducted this study in VIII A class of Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Gresik. There were 28 students which consist of 16 male students and 12 female students. The instruments of this study were questionnaire and students‟ writing test. Questionnaire were distributed to get perception of GIST strategy data and students‟ writing descriptive test was given to get students‟ writing skill data. The researcher analyzed the data by using Pearson Coefficient Correlation. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the students who have better perception of GIST strategy to be possible to have good writing descriptive text and the female students have better perception of GIST strategy than the male students. The Easiest Grammar Understanding for Speaking English Well

Target of this study is to standardize the English learning and teaching model which is well-granted. The issues faced by the English researchers are to find a method so effectively that semantico grammatical knowledge mastery related to English notion and function which has not found the solution can be formulated as a national standard since the data collected at Jakarta and Depok Junior and senior high schools showed the same issues. The findings of the study showed that there were 90% of Junior and Senior High Schools Students had not been confident to speak English. It is why the researchers introduce the Oral Questioning in L1 and Guidance Method (OQILAG) which is going to be shot and saved in saver and internet localized, and enable the students to use smartphone while speaking English directed by the researcher as a film teacher through LCD (in-focus) in national research next year as a model of e-learning. The data which were stated by English senior teachers showed that there were 90% of Muhammadiyah junior high school unconfident to speak English. Thus, the researchers introduce OQILAG method planned to have been shot and saved in a saver, presented by LCD (in-focus) called e-learning implemented in 2019 research as a national research. The objectives of this research are (1) to find out whether the CIRC and TTW learning models significantly influence the students’ ability to write reports at Muhammadiyah Junior High School Padang, (2) to explore whether the CIRC and TTW learning models have a significant influence on the highly motivated students’ ability to write reports, (3) to analyze whether the CIRC and TTW learning models have a significant influence on the ability to write reports of the students with low motivation (4) to identify whether there is influence on the interaction between the use of CIRC type learning model and TTW and learning motivation toward their ability to write the report. This study was conducted within randomized control-group pretest-posttest experimental designs whose participants were Grade 8 students of Muhammadiyah Junior High School Padang. The instruments of data collection were report writing tests, questionnaires and interviews. The findings show that there is a significant influence of the use of CIRC and TTW type learning model with the students’ motivation to learn the skills of writing reports. Secondly, there is a significant influence on the use of CIRC and TTW learning models on the highly motivated students’ report writing skills. Thirdly, there is a significant influence on the use of CIRC and TTW learning models on the lowly motivated students’ report writing skills. Finally, there is the interaction of the use of learning models of CIR and TTE types with their learning motivation on their report writing skills.

PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN TGFU DAN KOOPERATIF TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR KETERAMPILAN DASAR SEPAKBOLA DENGAN KEMAMPUAN MOTORIK TINGGI DAN KEMAMPUAN MOTORIK

The purpose of this study examine the influence TGFU and Cooperative learning model as well as motor skills to learn results of football basic skills. The learning model Teaching Games for Understanding and Cooperative learning grouped by high and low of motor skills. The method used in this study using an experimental method with 2x2 factorial design. The study was conducted in Muhammadiyah Kab. Garut junior high school. The population is all class VIII students of Muhammadiyah junior high school. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive random sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 48 students were divided into 4 groups. Instruments in this study include: (1) Barrow mototr ability test to measure motor skills, (2) Test of football basic skills. ANOVA analysis results indicate, cooperative learning and TGFU model give influence on the learn result the basic skills of football. There is interaction between the learning model and motor ability of football basic skills.TGFU learning model at a high level motor skills provide better influence to learn result of football basic skills. Cooperative learning model is better than the TGFU at a low level of motor skills to learn result of football basic skills.
