Manifestation of the Anti-Corruption Education Movement in Breaking the Growth of New Regeneration of Corruptors

Corruption is a disease that is difficult to eliminate on this earth, not least in Indonesia where the Corruption Perception Index is very high. To deal with this is not an easy matter, we need preventive and curative efforts, namely by providing education to the younger generation today, namely Anti-corruption Education. Anti-corruption education is not a powerful way to eliminate all acts of corruption, but the existence of these educational activities will intuitively awaken the human conscience to realize not to commit criminal activities such as corruption. This article will reveal an action method on how to conduct real anti-corruption education for the younger generation to make them realize how dangerous corruption is for the people around them. This article uses a literature study method consisting of searching for articles from various theoretically supporting sources through SAGE Journals, Google Scholar, and supporting books to perfect the results of writing this article. The results of this research will comprehensively describe the real Anti-Corruption Education to be taught to the younger generation not only in theory, but together with real action actions such as campaigns to persuasively invite people to get involved in efforts to prevent corrupt practices. The younger generation is at the forefront of guarding the future of the country, therefore the younger generation should not be hypnotized by the temptation of corruption, because if they are tempted, it can destroy this country in an instant.

Արցախի կրթական ոլորտի խնդիրների արտացոլումը «Մշակ» թերթի էջերում (19-րդ դարի երկրորդ կես) / The reflection of the problems of the educational sphere of Artsakh on the pages of the newspaper “Mshak” (the second half of the 19th century)

One of the main centers of Armenian culture is the school which has a history of thousands of years. It has been considered as the most important factor in the manifestation and survival of national independence for centuries. The centuries-old path of Armenian educational and cultural life was especially manifested in the second half of the 19th century. The scientific article presented valuable information about the activities of Armenian schools operating in Artsakh in the second half of the 19th century. The problem we presented was considered on the basis of valuable materials posted on the pages of the newspaper “Mshak”. Based on some scientific research, the article emphasizes the importance of the socio-political and pedagogical movement that took place in Russia and Transcaucasia in the 1950-1960s, which had a beneficial effect on the development of the Armenian school and pedagogical thought. New diocesan, church-parochial schools were opened next to the existing Armenian religious schools. Male, female, one-class (միդասյա), two-class (երկդասյա), Mixed Gender schools (երկսեռ) gradually began to open in Artsakh. In its various issues, the newspaper “Mshak” covers the activities of the Diocesan School of Shushi, the Hripsimian Girls’ School, the Realakan School of Shushi, the Pastoral School of the village of Avetaranos and a number of issues related to these schools. The newspaper also addresses some other issues related to the Spiritual School of Hadrut. There is also very little information about educational life in other regions of Artsakh.

Shaping reflective political leaders

ABSTRACT Unlike many other countries, in Sweden there are more significant paths to political leadership than the university degree. Most Swedish political parties offer leadership training programmes that include practical and ideological content and several have a design rooted in the popular education movement. This article explores how party political training for leaders happens in practice, using data from interviews, surveys, text files and ethnographic field notes. Using reflection and ideology as theoretical concepts, the study shows how reflection is used for different aims, and how it can shape participants ideologically. Ideology, in terms of describing what is good, is communicated from the top down in these courses in a general way. In terms of showing what is possible and desirable to either legitimise or challenge, these programmes leave that open to negotiation among the participants, which implies a confidence in their competence by virtue of being elected. Allowing different interpretations risks undermining the party's ideological core; however, since popular education methods are not negotiated, participants are required to reflect deliberately and listen to each others views on the issues under discussion. This can be understood as a safety line as it most likely leads to self-sanitation from the party's perspective.

A INTEGRAÇÃO DE EDUCAÇÃO INCLUSIVA NA FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES

The global movement for inclusive education is a social, cultural, pedagogical and political revolution, born in defense of the rights of all students, so that they can be together, sharing and learning without any discrimination. In this sense, it is worth highlighting that educational inclusion is a gradual, dynamic and constantly changing process. Paths full of challenges are being followed so that inclusive education becomes an effective reality, with teacher training standing out among these challenges. In this context, teacher training is a fundamental commitment of educational institutions, both public and private, to develop the skills and competencies necessary for teaching to be carried out successfully, with quality and efficiency. To this end, the research for this study was conducted based on a comprehensive survey of existing materials on the subject, including books, dissertations, theses, national articles and websites of government agencies and scientific databases available on the internet.

ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PENDAPATAN MASYARAKAT DI KABUPATEN MALANG TAHUN 2018-2022

The income of the population of a society is important for welfare because it influences its ability to meet basic needs. In Malang Regency there are around 2,685,900 people with a GDP per capita of 43.73 million rupiah in 2022. This research applies a quantitative approach. The research results show that the Covid-19 pandemic, rising fuel prices, low levels of education, people's mindsets that care less about education, economic limitations, lack of employment opportunities, and climate conditions are the causes of the high number of poor people, low levels of education, and low levels of poverty. high open unemployment. The impact is an increase in crime, limited access to education, high levels of unemployment, poverty, and a decline in prosperous economic conditions. Apart from these factors, education has a significant influence on people's income. Community income is not significantly influenced by the number of poor people and the level of open unemployment. The Malang Regency Government has implemented various programs to overcome these challenges, including Indonesian Economic Heroes (PENA), creating opportunities for small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Malang Makmur equality education movement program (GERTAK Malang Makmur), the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP), labor-intensive programs, job training programs, and the Pre-Employment Card Program.

An analytic framework for theorizing the anti-gender agenda in education

This article theorizes the global anti-gender movement in education. This conservative movement opposes “gender ideology,” which is perceived as a threat to traditional social values. Building on a systematic literature review of how the anti-gender movement shapes educational policies, politics, and practices, with a specific focus on Brazil and the US, this article presents a theoretical framework for conceptualizing: 1) the contested meanings of “gender ideology”; 2) its discursive components; 3) the characteristics and composition of anti-gender alliances; 4) the anti-gender agenda’s manifestations in curriculum, pedagogy, the social relations of schooling, and education policy. We attempt to highlight the ways in which anti-gender politics often operate together with racial politics to reveal the ways in which conservative, right-wing alliances, frequently predicated on and united through anti-Blackness, white supremacy, homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny, exert influence on educational policies, politics, and practices to simultaneously maintain a white supremacist, cis-heteronormative, and patriarchal state. We conclude with a discussion of the contradictions of this agenda and resistances to these conservative attacks on equity, inclusion, diversity, and human rights.

The Adventures of MouseGirl: An Undergraduate’s Perspective on her Data Visualization Project and the Need for STEAM in American Education

Abstract The author’s unique arts-science research experience involving data visualizations of complex mouse brain data leads her to recognize that education in America needs to adopt the increasingly popular STEAM education movement. This is a view that many others, both students and professors, increasingly share in the light of their own successes with learning and accessibility using STEAM methods. These successes also show the importance of incorporating the arts into STEM education. In this article, the author will discuss her data visualization in the context of advocating for the importance of STEAM education and collaborations in general.

Twenty‐Years of Anti‐Climate Change and Anti‐Evolution Education Legislation in the United States

ABSTRACTBoth evolution and climate change have broad scientific consensus, and yet they are the most contested scientific concepts in the US K‐12 education system. This study aimed to explore trends in proposed US state legislation employed from 2003 to 2023 by anti‐evolution and anti‐climate change education movements to constrain the teaching of these sciences. Using a historical qualitative research design, document analysis was used to evaluate state legislation and reports from the National Center for Science Education (NCSE). Two hundred and seventy‐three climate and evolution‐related House and Senate bills, concurrent resolutions, and joint resolutions were identified, coded, and analyzed. Eleven anti‐science education legislative tactics were employed from 2003 to 2023. Five were first identified in the literature review: academic freedom (42.1%), rebranding (12.1%), balanced treatment (12.1%), censorship (2.6%), and disclaimers (2.6%). Six new tactics were revealed in the analysis: anti‐indoctrination (16.8%), standards (12.1%), instructional materials (10.3%), religious liberty (8.8%), avoidance (4.4%), and religious instruction (4.0%). One‐quarter of bills and resolutions employed a combination of tactics. The most ubiquitous tactics were academic freedom bills, which urge science teachers to introduce ideas like intelligent design or climate change denial under the mantle of academic freedom, and anti‐indoctrination bills, which prevent teachers from advocating for controversial topics deemed political. Since 2017, anti‐indoctrination has become the preferred tactic. Southern, southeastern, and midwestern states were the most prolific in their contribution to anti‐science education legislation. Qualitative analysis revealed bill and resolution language was often recycled across years and states with slight changes to wording. From 2003 to 2023, the total number of anti‐science education state legislative efforts increased, as did the number of passed bills and resolutions. The implications of these tactics and trends are considered.

Evaluation of Osteoporosis Risk and Awareness in Women Aged 45 and Over Admitted to a University Hospital

Osteoporosis is a metabolic disease that disrupts the microarchitecture of the bone. As life expectancy increases, so does the frequency of osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a preventable disease and its progression can be slowed. The aim of this study is to assess the risk and awareness of osteoporosis in women and to investigate the variables thought to be associated with it. This cross-sectional study was conducted on 451 women aged 45 years and older. The Osteoporosis Risk Scale (ORS) and the Osteoporosis Awareness Scale (OAS) were used in this study. The study group consisted of women aged 45 to 85 years, with an average age of 57.8 ± 9.3 years. In this study, 402 women were found to be at risk for osteoporosis. The women's ORS scores ranged from 5 to 40, with an average of 19.6 ± 4.2 points. OAS scores ranged from 27 to 107, with an average of 57.7 ± 15.0. A weak negative correlation was found between ORS scores and OAS scores. This study found that 89.1% of women were at risk for osteoporosis. Women who were not obese, were not taking medication for osteoporosis in postmenopause and did not have a medically diagnosed bone disease had a higher risk of osteoporosis. Women's awareness of osteoporosis was moderate. Any educational movement to protect against osteoporosis, a preventable disease, will protect society from osteoporosis by empowering individuals to recognize their own risk factors and take steps to reduce them.

Rethinking Informed Consent as an EPA in Surgery.

Over the past decade, entrustable professional activities (EPAs) have become an important element in the competency-based medical education movement. In this Commentary, the authors explore informed consent as an EPA within resident surgical training. In doing so, they foreground the concept of culture and reexamine the nature of trust and entrustment decisions from within a cultural framework. The authors identify role modeling and professional identity formation as core elements in the training process and suggest that faculty are sometimes better off using these tools than uncritically adopting a formal EPA framework for what is, in essence, a professionally oriented and values-based moral enterprise. They conclude that EPAs work best when they are developed at a local level, stressing the unique culture of specialty and program as well as the care that must be taken when attempting to transfer notions of entrustment from the undergraduate medical education level to graduate medical education settings.

‘Don’t educate me—move me!’ Why we need art and artists (especially films and filmmakers) to love education into existence

Abstract This paper explores the anthropological and ontological conditions of our ‘educational movement’ in aesthetic experience and illustrates these through a range of examples from popular cinema/film (the Empire Strikes Back; Memento; David Lynch’s musings). For the anthropological framing of education, I enlist the help of German philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer and his notion of ‘formation’ as it unfolds in the aesthetic appearance of the cultural world—with film’s moving images’ coming-into-form-and-meaning as my key example. For Gadamer, the artwork’s formative potential is bound up in its capacity to move our senses and intellect into an encounter with what is other to our subjectivity. Drawn into a mode of paying attention to what appears (e.g. in film’s moving images), we are called to lose ourselves and be present in a new way to familiar world objects and relations. The second part of the paper imagines the ontological conditions that make possible our formative movement in the cultural world: the mode of the beautiful. Why do certain artworks shine forth and summon us to be present to them? To pursue this question, I turn to French Catholic philosopher Jacques Maritain’s notion of Beauty and craftsmanship. He turns us (like Gadamer) to a neo-Platonic notion of Beauty rooted in St Thomas Aquinas’ notion of the mystery of B/being (i.e. God). In Maritain’s reading, our hermeneutic aesthetic experience—and with that our movement into self-formation—is held in existence through the artist’s participation in the mode of the beautiful and their loss of self in the labour of love of craftsmanship.

Communicating educational innovation projects in Latin America mediated by the scaling of complex thinking: Contribution of the UNESCO-ICDE Chair in Mexico

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Chair in the open educational movement for Latin America aims to promote scientific, technological, entrepreneurial, and innovative development. In Mexico, face-to-face bootcamps occur every two years, where prototypes of high-value solutions for education are developed using design and active learning methodologies, with the aim of scaling complex thinking and sustainable development. In the 2023 edition, 94 academicians from 12 countries participated (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Spain, the Dominican Republic, and the United Kingdom). Experts from Tecnológico de Monterrey, the Open University, the University of Leeds, and Siemens Stiftung supervised the process. This article presents the prototyped proposals and the results of applying the Play2Train4C methodology, enabling participants to develop educational innovation projects under the paradigm of complex thinking. The results indicate that (1) the participants managed to prototype ten proposals validated by experts and (2) their perceptions of their systemic, critical, scientific, and innovative thinking (sub-competencies of complex thinking) improved by the end of the bootcamp. The conclusion was that the UNESCO Chair boosted solution-building skills for the complex problems arising in Latin America and enabled key agents in education to improve their complex thinking skills for quality education, as promulgated by sustainable development goal 4.

A Study on Life-Writing Education Movement in Northeast Japan and the Effects in the 1930s

Participation, change and promotion of the child in the experimentation of full-time education. The case of Groppello primary school (Cassano d’Adda 1969-1985)

At the beginning of the 1970s, a group of teachers inspired by Mario Lodi’s educational thought and the MCE (Cooperative education movement) ideas created, in Cassano d’Adda near Milan, a very innovative experimentation in the local primary school. The Groppello d’Adda experience brought forth for more than 30 years an alternative idea of school and educational design. The local archives keep a large array of uncatalogued materials documenting the experience. These documents are very interesting because of their depiction of a school conception consistently defined as horizontal, inclusive and aimed at the promotion of the child, and for the variety and richness of pedagogical instruments and models proposed. The article aims at showing, through this case study, the historical-social conditions of the birth of Decreti Delegati in Italy in the Seventies, and the theoretical and practical inspirations leading to the inversion of the relation between school and society. At the end, the article will illustrate how the original concept at the basis of Decreti Delegati was larger than a simple introduction of representatives in the school governance.

EL ESTUDIO COMO PRINCIPIO EDUCATIVO Y LA CUESTIÓN DE LA LECTURA EN LA PEDAGOGÍA DEL MOVIMIENTO

The aim of this paper is to present notes on study as an educational principle in the Pedagogy of Movement, the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), with emphasis on the topic of reading. This is a documental and bibliographic research, based mainly on texts by the MST and by authors dedicated to the themes at hand. Education occupies a strategic space in the process of self-organization of the Landless organization. The Movement presents study as one of its organizational and educational principles. Several MST documents mention or refer, directly or indirectly, to the question of reading, writing and/or arithmetic. Thus, the study, which includes the readings, is configured as a key element for the process of self-organization, (auto)education, self-support and democratic management in the various activities of the MST, in the political, cultural and, mainly, economic spheres, which is fundamental for the material and symbolic reproduction of this Movement.

Islamic Revivalism in Post-normal Times: the Obstruction of More Disenchantment of Islam Throughout Ziauddin Sardar’s Whitewashed Approach Towards Evolution of Integration from Islamization of Knowledge in Higher Education of Muslim Societies

In post-normal times along with the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI), human society around the world is often considered in the state of contradictory, complex, and chaotic in nature. For Ziauddin Sardar, Muslim societies are living within post-normal times now. Muslims need to deal with so many complex problems of societies. As world citizens, Muslims must contribute to face challenges with all the people of the world hand in hand. Islamic teaching of Unity and Universal brotherhood needs to be implemented when facing all the post-normal challenges. Ziauddin Sardar comes up with the solution to reform in higher educational institutions in Muslim societies. The revivalist movement in higher education in Muslim societies is called ‘Integration of Knowledge’ which is alternative Islamic Revivalism in replace of ‘Islamization of Knowledge’. In the age of Globalization, Sardar urges Muslims to abandon Islamization agenda which is ‘US vs Them’ as Huntington emphasized being the representative of West. Instead, Sardar calls Muslims to embrace Integration of Knowledge agenda as a Cosmopolitan way of Islamic Revivalism. He proposes debate and discussion culture in higher education with all categories of people. This article uses qualitative methodology in which content analysis is adopted. This research finds that Sardar’s approach of Integration of knowledge is effective and beneficial to work with different background of people. However, the more disenchantment of Islam through evolution of Integration from Islamization is visible in Sardar’s approach for higher educational institution in Muslim societies

Deepening Divides or Inciting Change? Ongoing Impacts of COVID-19 on Teaching and Teacher Education in the United States

Through the lenses of teaching and teacher education, this article explores the evolving impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on education. Challenges associated with COVID-19 in schooling, learning, teaching, and teacher education are highlighted to showcase ongoing systemic inadequacies and emerging opportunities for change. Cultural assets are presented as a theoretical framework for bridging gaps between individualistic and collective approaches to learning. Specific classroom projects that foster cultural assets are connected with a larger educational movement for Ethnic Studies in public education in the United States to provide examples of ways that education can evolve in more equitable ways into the future.
