FORMATION OF GRAMMATICAL COMPETENCE OF A BACHELOR STUDENT

The Implementation of Federal educational standards of higher education today determine significant changes in the system of practice-oriented training of undergraduate students. There are updates in the structure of educational value orientations that have influenced, among other things, the choice of methods, methods and forms of work of a higher education teacher. The competence-based approach that underlies the standard contributes to the personal and professional development of students, increasing their level of social mobility, and competitiveness in professional activities. The paper makes theoretical generalizations of the issue of forming the grammatical competence of undergraduate students of the Nizhnevartovsk state University IN the course of training in the main educational program 44.03.01 "Teacher education", the training profile is Primary education. Using the example of the curriculum discipline "Theoretical foundations and technologies of primary language education", the author analyzes the methods and techniques of the teacher's work in order to form the grammatical competence of the future primary school teacher. The goal is to determine the following educational tasks: formation of students ' ideas about grammatical categories of the Russian literary language from the point of view of its etymology; development of the General and speech culture of the bachelor; formation of social and moral values of students in the system of education and training at the University. The ways to solve these problems are seen in the presented theory, which is the basis of the methods and techniques analyzed in the work, aimed at forming grammatical competence as one of the components of General professional and professional competencies of undergraduate students.

Indonesian Folktales in English: Media to Integrate Local Wisdom in EFL Classroom

Indonesia has a lot of folktales as one of the precious cultural heritages that must be preserved. A folktale provides cultural knowledge and moral lessons as one type of literary text. Using Indonesian folktales in English as teaching materials in the classroom of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) will contribute a great deal to the growth of the linguistic and cognitive skills, cultural understanding and moral values of students. This paper focuses on some of the benefits and considerations of using Indonesian traditional folktales from in English as a teaching aid in the EFL classroom.

METHODOLOGICAL APPARATUS FOR FORMING STUDENTS' FAMILY AND MORAL VALUES

The article describes that the methodological apparatus for the formation of family and moral values of students provides the main categories of methodology, methodological approaches to the formation of family and moral values. Theoretical analysis defines four groups of representations of scientific methodology in the works of scientists. The main categories of scientific methodology are analyzed: correlation of the concepts «approach» and «principle». Methodological approaches to the formation of students' family and moral values: axiological, socio-humanistic, system-structural, activity-based, cultural approaches. Analyzing the functional activity of each methodological approach, the attributes of the formation of family and moral values will be analyzed. The work was carried out to diagnose the basics of the methodological apparatus for the formation of family and moral values of students. On the experimental site of students, the method m was carried out. Rokicha «Definition of value orientation», analyzed the percentage and quantitative indicators of research results.

Assessing the Academic integrity among University Students in Pakistan

The principal objective of this research was to assess the academic integrity among Pakistani university students. Qualitative data were obtained from 3 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with students from different universities. Mixed Methods Research was applied at the individual and group level and data were analyzed with the help of content analysis. The analysis unveiled four key themes including teacher's behavior in the classroom, teacher’s evaluation method in Examinations, the influence of peer pressure, and the popularity of the memorization method among students. Students' level of satisfaction with teachers’ behavior in the classroom and at the time of assessment of examination remained low and they considered it as the main reason behind their low level of academic integrity. Rote learning, inconsistencies in the examination evaluation method, and the effect of peer pressure were also identified as the central reasons behind their academic misconduct behavior. It is concluded that in the coming few years, academic misconduct is going to become a popular culture in Pakistani universities and it is a dire need to stop this behavior. Suggestions to overcome this problem are to trained students as well as teachers. The teacher's professional and moral training can directly effect on the training and moral values of students. This study was conducted in Pakistan, but the findings can be observed and replicated in higher education systems in many developing nations.

Development of Class VI Elementary School Thematic Teaching Materials Based Local Wisdom

There are no teaching materials used by teachers that can foster moral values in students, so it is necessary to have learning materials that introduce the culture or local wisdom of each region. The purpose of this study was to determine feasibility of thematic teaching materials for elementary school class VI theme 1 based on local wisdom. This research method referred to the theory of Borg and Gall, using seven steps or research implementation, namely potentials and problems, research planning, developing initial product, field testing, revision, validation, and final improvement. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and questionnaire techniques. The analysis used in this research is quantitative and qualitative analysis including learning observation and validation of teaching material products. Sources of data in this study were grade VI students and teachers. From the material expert validation process obtained an average result of 3,41 with percentage of 85% and very good category. The validation from linguists obtained 90% result with an average 3,6 and very good category. For the result of teacher responses obtained an average result of 3,85 total score 3466 with very good category. For the result of the response students, the average result was 3,94 and the total score was 568 in the very good category. Based on the result of the validation and reinforced by the result of the responses of student and teachers, the thematic teaching materials based on local wisdom of Rembang were declared suitable for use in the learning process.

This article reveals the contents of moral values ​​in the Book of Syi'ir Ngudi Susilo by K. H. Bisri Musthofa and their relevance to Islamic education. This research is included in the type of library research (library research) by discussing qualitative, while in collecting data using the library method, the analysis used in this thesis is content analysis (content analysis). The results obtained from this study are: (1) the collection of the Ngudi Susilo Syi'ir Book will mean from moral values, consisting of 9 (Nine) chapters that discuss morality in everyday life (2) moral values ​​that contained in this book are morals towards Allah, morals towards oneself, morals with parents, morals with educators, morals with nation and state, and morals with the environment. (3) the relevance of moral values ​​to Islamic education is the importance of involving and applying moral values ​​to the education of children from an early age. Education with Syi'ir can facilitate the internalization of moral values ​​in students.

The paramount role in solving the problem of the formation of spiritual and moral qualities of the individual is played by the acquaintance of students with the national picture of the world, the basis of which are the characteristics of the culture of the people. Folklore is the conductor of national culture. Main attention is paid to one of the genres of the Russian folklore – a fairy tale, because it is in fairy tales that the best features of the people are reflected, contributing to the formation of moral values of students. The author determined not only the educational, but also the artistic value of fairy tales. The main aspects of the work on the analysis of the fairy tale are outlined: text analysis in the dialogue of cultures, the use of symbols, idioms, and appeal to the visual and expressive means of the language that contribute to a better understanding of the text.

Reality that occurs related to the role of the environment in shaping the learner's personality is largely incompatible with the concept of humanistic education. The implications of the negative environmental role have an impact on moral degradation. Moral degradation of students includes free sex, crime, loss of respect to educators, and the loss of moral values ​​in students. There are external and internal factors in the emergence of moral degradation students. The existence of humanistic education is as a fortress to prevent moral degradation. The focus of this study is on the concept of humanism education, the influence of humanism education on students' social interaction, the humanism education in the perspective of Al-Isra: 70, and the implementation of humanism education according to Al-Isra: 70 in the education of learners. This research is formed through library research with content analysis approach. The researcher finds that activities carried out by students in the learning process based on norm in the rules on educational institution. The activity can be formed as social interactions to develop character, abilities and talents. That are possessed by students formed on Pancasila and religious values.

Experimental Study on Family Formation and Moral Values of Students

The relevance of the research topic is due to the diversity and complexity of the tasks of human education in the 21st century. The modernization processes taking place in the modern Kazakhstani society created a deep crisis of many aspects of social life, including negatively affecting the value orientations of the younger generation, led to the devaluation of family values, alienation of youth from institutions of upbringing. This significant transformation partly led to a change in the orientations and priorities in the educational process of students. Analysis of the activity of higher education institutions in the education of family and moral values among students in the process of teaching and educational work made it possible to identify contradictions between: - the acute need of modern society for the upbringing of family and moral values among students and the underestimation of the significance of the process of family education in general; - the existing traditionally developed approach to determining the content of forms and methods of instruction and the objective needs of a qualitatively new attitude to the education of family and moral values among students in the process of education and educational work. This study allowed us to draw the following conclusions. The essence of the concept of "value" was substantiated, the content of the concept "family and moral values" was clarified on the basis of the analysis of scientific psychological and pedagogical literature. Experimental work was carried out among students of 1,2,3 courses of the specialty "Pedagogy and Psychology" of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, within the framework of which they tried to determine whether the family value is significant in the student environment. Justification of the novelty of the work. The authors attempted to reveal for the first time among students of a pedagogical university their real relation to the family, to family and moral values.

Penanaman Nilai Karakter dan Moral Mahasiswa Melalui Mata Kuliah Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus dan Pendidikan Inklusi

This study aims to determine the planting of character and moral values of students through the subjects of Children with Special Needs and Inclusion Education students of the PGSD FKIP UPY study program. The research design uses a qualitative approach and the method used is a case study. Participants in this study were seventh semester students in the subjects of Children with Special Needs and Inclusive Education of PGSD FKIP UPY study program. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation. Test the validity of the data by extension of observation and triangulation. Data processing and analysis techniques use interactive cycle process analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study are that there are several character and moral values that can be embedded in the subjects of Children with Special Needs and Inclusive Education, among others: tolerance, nationalism, friendship / communicative, social care and responsibility.

IMAGE BUILDING THROUGH EFL TEXTBOOK �MY PALS ARE HERE� TO STUDENTS IN KUPANG, EASTERN INDONESIA

English textbook is supposed to display society traditions and civility to encourage intellectual conversation among students. Even at earliest stage, young students can grow thoughtful principles of living in diversity and respectful among multicultural and religious community. The heart of moral values in students� English book is expected to effectively address social and moral problems of society and to maintain the harmony of living. �My Pals are Here� English textbooks for primary schools, presents EFL/ESL Asia themes. This motivates one private primary school in Kupang, eastern Indonesia to use this book believing that their students are part of international and wider community and engaging them in more Asia perspectives with attractive and colorful world teaching them many good values. By elaborating humanistic approach in the book content, this book achieves to deliver daily issues encountered by Asian children living more progressively with the introduction of many discourses in Asia and beyond without such pigeon holed the context of the book to very narrow scope. This discussion paper therefore aims to look at and discuss the input established within the book through the language and topic contents, as well as social and cultural values underlying the content, and the virtues addressed to the children. Images built within this book depicted through illustrations, figures, negotiation of meanings and interaction which extensively encouraged and performed from tasks given. Efektivitas Penerapan Metode Qişşatu Al-Qur`Ānī Untuk Meningkatkan Akhlak Mulia Siswa Kelas IV SD Cirebon Islamic School (CIS) Full Day

Islamic vision of education is to promote the formation of a noble character of students. In fact, it has not been fully achieved. As evidenced by the mass media that include many adolescents who engage in premarital sex. Beyond the researchers conducted a preliminary study in CIS Elementary School Cirebon. The result is there are still many elementary school fourth graders CIS obligation unworked prayers. It is closely related to a noble character against God. One cause of the lack of success of Islamic Education in schools for vision is the problem of learning methods are monotonous and not touching the psychological aspects of students. As one alternative in solving these problems is the presence of a method that can instill high moral values in students. Quran story method is considered effective in instilling noble moral values to students. Methods story Qur'an have characteristics that are different from other methods. This study aims to determine whether the method Qur'an story has a significant influence on the development of a noble character. Taken population Elementary School fourth grade students of the CIS, with a cluster sampling technique that is in class IV Roudhoh and class IV Multazam. The design was experimental design really. There are two classes, namely the control class and experimental class. Grade control using conventional methods, while the experimental group was treated using the method Qur`an story. Do pretest and posttest for both classes to assess the noble character of students. The hypothesis is that the Quran story method significantly influences the development of the noble character of students. Tests conducted by the independent samples t-test to compute t and t see table at the significance level of 0.05 with NU = 26. The result t is greater than t table (2.18> 1.71). This indicates that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the method Qur`an story significant influence on the development of a noble character of students.

Science Learning Model Based on Moral Value

Therefore, this study aims to develop a model of science-based science moral values in the hope of helping teachers to instill moral values in students. ДУХОВНАЯ КУЛЬТУРА НАРОДА САХА В СОВРЕМЕННОЙ СИСТЕМЕ ВОСПИТАНИЯ

Статья посвящена актуальной, в условиях совершенствования системы образования в России, политико-экономической реальности, теме нравственного воспитания будущих педагогов посредством духовной культуры народа саха.Цель. Предметом анализа выступают педагогические условия воспитания нравственных ценностей посредством духовной культуры народа саха. Автор ставит целью раскрыть значение духовной культуры народа в воспитании нравственных ценностей у будущих педагогов.Метод и методология проведения работы. Основу исследования образуют теоретико-методологический анализ, анализ собственного и передового педагогического опыта, диагностические методы.Результаты. Результаты работы заключаются в том, что автор отмечает значительное повышение уровня сформированности нравственных ценностей у студентов экспериментальной группы.Область применения результатов. Результаты исследования могут быть применены учителями, преподавателями в образовательных учреждениях.

Particular attention requires not only competence but also the willingness to become a socially mature person. It should be noted that along with universal values, we can observe pseudo-values, which are formed in a short period of time, which considerably worsen the behavior of young people. The author highlights the main problems of contemporary youth and reveals the ways of forming spiritual and moral values of students in the educational environment of a higher pedagogical educational institution. The article focuses on the problem of the formation of spiritual and moral values of students in the educational environment.

Moral Education: Current Values in Students and Teachers’ Effectiveness in Inculcating Moral Values in Students

Moral values play an important role in every aspect of an individual’s life. It is necessary for the holistic growth of an individual. According to Piaget’s theory of moral judgment, adolescence is the phase where the transition from heteronomous to autonomous morality takes place. During this transition period, the role of educators becomes crucial, as most of the learning in that phase occurs at school. Despite moral education being provided in schools, there is a substantial increase in delinquency. This evokes a question whether teachers inculcate moral values effectively in students. This study focuses on measuring the current moral values in students, the effectiveness of teachers in inculcating such moral values and whether there is effective implication of the learnt moral values. Sampling method was random and the sample size of the students and their moral science teachers are 102 and 12 respectively. The age range of the students was between 12 and 14. The tools used were Moral Values Scale (MVS), Personal Values Scale (PVS) and Teachers’ Effectiveness Scale (TES). The result from that quantitative analysis revealed that the current level of moral values in students range from high to extremely high. The teachers are very effective in inculcating moral values in the students. The relationship between teachers’ effectiveness in inculcating moral values and the current moral values in students is positive, but negligible. But, the qualitative observation revealed that there is an immense gap between the theoretical knowledge of moral values of the adolescent students and the practical implementation of the same. Further studies will be focused on strategies that could encourage practical implementation of moral values through moral education in their real life situations.

Teacher as an anonymous moral agent of universal good: discussion on the role of teacher in the short story ‘The Morning Clouds’ by Yasunari Kawabata

This paper investigates the philosophical applicability of the Kantian notion of teacher to interpret the short story, The Morning Clouds by Yasunari Kawabata. Though the role of teacher has broadly been discussed in various pedagogical contexts, in a postmodern time like today the teacher’s role as a moral guide is often discouraged and his/her intervention is reduced to a facilitator, while his/her existence is often believed to be duplicated by a computer. However, the teacher is still treated as an entity of reference and role model, because s/he is believed to be capable of transmitting the message of ‘universal good’ and implanting moral values in students; the future of any society. A moral agent as ‘a rational and free being who is capable of acting with reference to right and wrong’ is perceived through the social role of a teacher who guides students to a final moral destination. Such action must be based on a ‘priori’, a Kantian social essential created in the human mind for universal good, as an act of faith for the preservation of ultimate human values. Teacher as a personal identity may be of little importance as far as a ‘priori’ functions as a signifier in students’ minds, but the teacher’s obligation to the moral entity and exemplification seems the most important aspect since students, especially when they grow into adulthood, take him/herself as a role model. Therefore, as a teacher, one should place him/herself beyond personal interests because of the unconditional and universal responsibility towards ‘the other’ (his/her pupils). In this respect, this paper examines how the teacher in the short story, The Morning Clouds, sets a unique example as to how a teacher should act before students as an idealised moral guide, and attempts to justify the legitimacy of teacher as a universal moral guide who could design the destiny of future generation.

Group Dynamic Concepts in Social Studies as Correlates of Moral Values and National Unity in Nigeria

Nigeria is a multilingual and multicultural nation which is characterized by ethno-religious crises and insurgencies. The introduction of an active approach to teaching would ensure effective education and socialization for transformation in Nigeria. Effective teaching of group dynamic concepts (GDC) is relevant because of the diversity of students in our schools today. GDC are selected themes which could be used to help students from diverse racial, cultural, ethnic and language groups to experience unity through academic success. While academic knowledge and skills are essential, students must also develop positive attitude and skills necessary to interact positively in our diverse nation. This study, therefore, examined group dynamism as correlate of moral values and national unity in Ogun state, Nigeria. Two null hypotheses were generated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted a quasi experimental design. A 30 item achievement test was administered on 150 junior secondary school (JSS) students randomly selected from five secondary schools in the south-west region of Nigeria. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The Pearson product moment correlation and Scheffe Post hoc tests were used to determine the source of significant main effect where observed. The findings of this study revealed that effective teaching of GDC could help to inculcate the desired moral values in students and this could translate into national unity in and beyond Nigeria.
