Development of monopoly learning media in lactation education classes

<p><strong><em>Background</em></strong><em>: Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the rights that children should have, as breastfeeding for the first six months is the best way to fulfill a child's nutritional needs to continue the growth of their brain, liver, and immune system. Exclusive breastfeeding can also reduce infectious mortality by 88 percent in infants less than 3 months old. Currently, the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding is 69.7% and has met the 2021 target of 45%. One of the causes is influenced by the learning process. Interesting and fun learning media can affect learning outcomes. Therefore, it is important for midwives to grow the interest and attractiveness of pregnant women in the learning process with the help of appropriate learning media and involve pregnant women in lactation education classes through Monopoly games. </em></p><p><strong><em>Objectives</em></strong><em>: This study aims to develop Monopoly game media in lactation education classes and describe the feasibility of Monopoly game media as learning media in lactation education classes for pregnant women. </em></p><p><strong><em>Methods</em></strong><em>: This study uses research and development methods, namely expert sampling. The data collection instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire and descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The design of research activities only reached the feasibility test of monopoly learning media. </em></p><p><strong><em>Results</em></strong><em>: The learning media developed regarding the feasibility of learning aspects by material experts and users obtained an average score of 4.32, entered the good category. Meanwhile, according to media experts, an average score of 4.9 was obtained based on media engineering aspects, and based on visual communication aspects, an average score of 4.62 was obtained. </em></p><p><strong><em>Conclusions</em></strong><em>: This study shows that the development media for lactation education classes in the form of monopoly is in a good category</em> <em>and suitable for use</em></p>

Implementation of Educational Technology Based on Gamification in Interactive Monopoly Games in the 4.0 Era

Recent advancements in technology and information have profoundly influenced the realm of education, prompting a transformation in the learning process. This shift has become imperative due to the impact of the pandemic a few years ago, which necessitated the utilization of online technology for education. Given this situation, the conventional, monotonous learning approach now requires diversification to cater to various learning preferences. This evolution aligns with the need to tailor learning methods to students’ current interests and hobbies. Consequently, the adoption of educational technology based on gamification in the era of Industry 4.0 emerges as a solution to address these educational demands. There are several strategies to implement gamification effectively, aimed at fostering students’ enthusiasm for learning. In essence, Industry 4.0 has ushered in profound changes across all sectors by optimizing resources and production costs. The research method employed here is gamification, which revolves around the concept of game-based learning. The outcome of this research is an interactive monopoly game designed for integration into the learning process.

Improving Cognitive Performance with Board Activities in Older Adults

Cognitive function decline is one of the problems that is often experienced as we age, and this has an impact on activities of daily living (ADL), social participation, employment, psychological conditions, and independence of pre-elderly and elderly. To maintain cognitive abilities, interventions in the form of cognitive activities are needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Monopoli Modified Board Game (Indonesian Version) on the cognitive abilities of pre-elderly and elderly. The method used was pre-experimental one-group pretest and posttest, with 28 subjects from the elderly community RW 8, Kemiri, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar. Data collection was carried out using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Indonesian Version (MoCa-Ina) instrument, and the modified monopoly game was conducted in 8 sessions for eight weeks. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the Monopoly Modified Board Game on the cognitive abilities of pre-elderly and elderly, with a paired t-test value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001, which means the p-value <0.05. The mean difference of 2.25 indicates an increase in cognitive abilities after the intervention. The majority of research subjects were female, with a pre-elderly age category of 53.5%, most were not working (60.7%), and had the last education at a low level (75%). The implication of this study shows that the Monopoli Modified Board Game (Indonesian Version) can be an effective alternative intervention in improving cognitive abilities in pre-elderly and elderly, so that it can help them maintain independence and a better quality of life.

Petrification, Chaos, Primitive Triangulation and the Therapeutic Power of Game-Play

ABSTRACT This article discusses the use of traditional structured games such as Monopoly, Draughts, War and UNO, in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with children in severely disturbed states of mind. The author focuses on two opposite poles of disturbance: states of psychic petrification, typical of children on the Autism spectrum, and states of chaos, typical of children in psychotic states of mind. It is suggested that these structured games can serve as a vehicle for what Alvarez terms the language of “fatherese,” a call to psychic growth, structuring, and communication with the outside world. Drawing on Houziel’s and Rhode’s thinking on the bisexuality of the psychic skin, it is proposed that structured games combine male elements of structure and solidity with female elements of emotion, uncertainty, and porosity, thereby enabling work on a primitive level of triangularity. Two clinical examples are presented: the first where the therapist introduced a process of negotiation into a game of Monopoly with a child adhesively addicted to petrified game-play; the second where the therapist initiated a game of SET to introduce psychic structuring and a space to think. These clinical examples are analyzed in terms of Bion’s concepts of the Establishment and the Messianic and Amir’s concepts of psychic tonality and atonality.

One aspect of child development that needs to be developed by educators is the aspect of social development. Social development aspects can be developed with game media. Educators should use interesting media in their learning. One way to develop social-emotional aspects is with Social-emotional Board Media (Pansos).Adopting from the monopoly game This study aims to determine the social-emotional development of children before and after using Social-emotional Board Media (Pansos) for children aged 5-6 years at Kober Nur Ismail. The purpose of this research and development is to find out the increase in children's social-emotional abilities through the use of learning media Social-emotional Board (Pansos). This type of research is research and development by adopting Sugiyono's steps. The research method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) using steps from Borg and Gall which are simplified into stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing. The subjects of this study were children at Kober Nur Ismail who were 5-6 years old. From the results of the study it was known that there was an increase in social emotional development by 42.5% with the results of the initial presentation during the pre-test 40% and post-test 82.5%

Enhancing Learning Engagement in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Students Through AR-Based Monopoly Media in History Education

Communication activities that occur between teachers and students in a class should provide positive feedback. However, sometimes a problem arises that makes communication activities ineffective. The lack of learning media innovation from teachers causes students to have a low interest in learning. This research aims to develop augmented reality-based monopoly game learning media as a breakthrough in increasing student learning interest. The research and development method used in this research is the ADDIE development model. The learning media used has been validated by media experts with a score of 85% and is on the criteria of being very feasible. In addition, the results of evaluation questionnaires from teachers who showed 96% lift and assessment results from students who showed scores of 38 out of a total of 40 scores on student evaluation questionnaires proved that learning media increased students' interest in learning. Through the development of learning media in this study, researchers hope that educators can be more innovative and creative in creating fun learning so that students also become more enthusiastic about teaching and learning activities in the classroom.

ABSTRACT Understanding effective internal control is vital for accounting and business students. Examples of fraud and loss through poor internal control are widespread in practice. The learning objectives of this teaching case focus on improving students’ ability to comprehensively evaluate internal control practices and suggest and justify new practices where applicable. The McDonald’s Monopoly fraud is a real-life example of a situation where multiple internal control failures had substantial financial and reputational consequences for McDonald’s, particularly its outsourcing partners involved in operationalizing the monopoly game. We use this factual case to illustrate control system shortcomings, allowing students to evaluate internal control and suggest internal control techniques with reference to all five components of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) Internal Control—Integrated Framework. PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA MONOPOLI BERBAHAN LOOSEPART UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN LOGIKA MATEMATIKA

This research aims to determine the feasibility of the monopoly media "MAK (FUN MATHEMATICS" ROUND" made from loose parts for children aged 5-6 years. This research is research using research and development methods or what is called Research and Development (R&D) using a development model ADDIE. The subjects of this research were group A at Darul Hikmah Kindergarten, totaling 10 children consisting of 5 boys and 5 boys. women. In this study, media validation and observation validation of learning outcomes were carried out first by material experts and media experts, after that the validator produced an evaluation of the media and observation sheets used. The aim was to test the suitability of the media used. Research instruments used in the research This is an observation sheet that has been validated by experts. The indicators of the development of mathematical logic studied are knowing simple classifications, knowing numbers, knowing arithmetic operations, knowing geometric shapes. Learning media with the MAK ROUND monopoly game using loosepart media which was developed for group A2 children at DARUL HIKMAH Kindergarten has been validated by experts and received a percentage score of 92.72%. This shows that the MAK ROUND monopoly is declared worthy of being tested. Before being given treatment, the average acquisition of mathematical logic skills was below average, namely 66.8% and was declared incomplete. This means that children's mathematical logic is still low. After being given treatment, the average gain in mathematical logic skills in group A2 children increased to 84.7%. This shows that learning media using the MAK ROUND monopoly game is effective in improving mathematical logic skills in group A children aged 5-6 years.

Development of Monopoly Learning Media in Lactation Education Class to Improve Pregnant Women's Knowledge and Attitude about Breastfeeding

Exclusive breastfeeding coverage for infants aged 0-6 months was 71.58% in 2021, but most provinces still have coverage below the national average. One of the causes is knowledge. Interesting and fun learning media can affect knowledge or learning outcomes, one of which is interactive media in the form of a monopoly game. The study aims to develop a learning media monopoly game that is feasible in terms of media and material and to determine the effectiveness of learning media monopoly games to improve the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in breastfeeding. This research method uses a research and development model developed by Borg and Gall consisting of 10 steps starting from potential and problems to mass production. The results showed that the feasibility aspects by material experts and users obtained an average score of 4.32 and media experts for engineering aspects 4.9 and visual communication aspects 4.62, all of which were in the good category, meaning that they were feasible and validated to be tested. The statistical test results show that there is an increase in knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about breastfeeding after lactation education using educational media in the form of monopoly games with p-value = 0.000 < α 0.05. The conclusion is that lactation education learning media in the form of Monopoly games is effective in increasing the interest of pregnant women in breastfeeding preparation.

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MONOPOLI PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI SMP PANCA SETYA 1 SINTANG

Success in the learning process is very dependent on the availability of learning media that supports the achievement of learning objectives. Well-designed learning media has the potential to have a positive impact in developing students' potential. One of the effective tools in the learning process is the Monopoly game media. This research uses a Research and Development approach with the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The research sample consisted of 28 students from class VIII C. Data analysis involved evaluation by media experts and product users, using percentage intervals to assess the suitability of the product. The results of the development research show that the Monopoly learning media is suitable for use, with a validation rate of media experts of 87.6%, material experts of 86.3%, and learning practitioners of 81.33%. Small group trials and field trials showed a high level of feasibility, with percentages of 94.9% and 81.33% for student learning completion. Based on the results of this assessment, it can be concluded that the Monopoly learning media is very suitable for use in learning social studies subjects.

The Effectiveness of Guidance and Counseling Monopoly Media for Increasing Academic Self-Efficacy for High School Students

This study aims to ascertain whether the use of guidance and counseling monopoly game media can increase high school students' self-efficacy in their academic endeavors. Five students from class XI with low academic self-efficacy measurement scores participated in this study using an experimental method with a one-group pre-posttest design. The instrument for measuring academic self-efficacy is a data collection technique used in this study. The t test was used in parametric data analysis by the researchers. It can be seen from the results of the t test that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because sig (2-tailed) has a value of 0.010, which means <0.05. According to research findings, monopoly guidance and counseling media have an effect on helping high school students increase their academic self-efficacy by using group guidance services.

MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PERMAINAN MONOPOLI MENINGKATKAN KETERLIBATAN SISWA DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA KATOLIK

This study aims to find out that Catholic Religious Education learning can use learning media and find out that learning media can use Catholic monopoly games. The background of writing this study is due to the lack of use of learning media in the learning process of Catholicism amid the many learning media used in learning materials other than Catholicism. In addition, because there are still many teachers who teach with the lecture method so that learning becomes saturated and boring. This research uses research and development (R&D) methods and uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data conducted by researchers in the form of observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The target of the study was a grade V student of SDK Santo Bavo Madiun. The results showed that the assessment of material experts, media experts, as well as positive responses from students during field trials, it can be concluded that this Catholic monopoly game media is "very feasible" and can be used in learning Catholic Religious Education.

THE EFFECT OF MONOPOLY GAMES TOWARD STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY

The research addressed the problem of inadequate vocabulary mastery among seventh-grade students at SMPN 2 Paninjauan during the 2022/2023 academic year. The monotonous media such as using a dictionary was attributed to factors such as rote memorization and the lack of diverse instructional media. Therefore, monopoly games were selected as a teaching medium to investigate their impact on students' vocabulary mastery. The research employed a quasi-experimental design, and the population comprised 45 seventh-grade students at SMPN 2 Paninjauan for the 2022/2023 academic year. Cluster random sampling was utilized to select a sample of 30 students, with 15 assigned to the experimental group and 15 to the control group. The experimental and control groups were determined through a random draw. The pre-test score averaged 47.33, but it significantly increased to 85 after the intervention. Analysis using an independent samples T-test indicated that monopoly games had a more substantial impact compared to dictionary. The rejection of the null hypothesis (H0) suggested a significant positive effect of using monopoly games as a teaching medium on students' vocabulary mastery in the seventh grade at SMPN 2 Paninjauan for the 2022/2023 academic year. Based on the findings, it is recommended that teachers consider this research when exploring a broader range of teaching media to enhance student engagement in vocabulary learning.

Application of Monopoly Game Media In Learning Mathematical Counting Operations Grade 3 MIM Talang

This study aims to describe how the application of monopoly game media in mathematical arithmetic operations learning in class III MIM Talang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were III grade students. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data using the method triangulation technique. After the collected data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman interactive analysis techniques. The results showed that planning mathematics learning by applying monopoly game media was carried out by preparing a lesson plan, monopoly game materials, and designing a series of monopoly game activities. The application of this monopoly game media received a positive response from students. Supporting factors for the application of monopoly game media to mathematical arithmetic operations include: the basic materials for making monopoly are easy to obtain and inexpensive, students actively participate, there is support from the school, and students feel like they are playing while learning. While the inhibiting factors include: class conditions that are not conducive because there are some students who are busy alone, students have difficulty answering the questions on the monopoly card, and time constraints. Solutions to overcoming these obstacles include: the teacher needs to recognize student characteristics, the teacher does ice breaking, students ask the teacher about difficulties answering questions, choose questions that are more focused and relevant to fit the existing time limit, and the teacher holds class sessions to help students who need understanding of the material.

Monopoly Game as A Science Learning Media for Junior High School; A Validity Analysis

Learning media is important as a means of delivering information to students. Media is not only interesting in terms of content, but also able to adjust to the characteristics of students. This study aims to reveal the validity of science learning media in the form of a monopoly game. This research uses descriptive analysis method. Data were collected through expert assessment questionnaires (as validators). Data analysis in the form of numerical values is done quantitatively, while comments or suggestions are done qualitatively. The results showed that the media was valid. Further tests were carried out, to assess the effectiveness of the media, so as to reveal more feasibility of the media.

Development of Monopoly Game Media in Visual Based Arabic Language Learning to Improve Vocabulary Mastery

This research is aimed at developing a game-based learning media, one of which is the monopoly game. This product is modified from the original game into an educational game that is used as a learning medium to help increase interest in learning to memorize Arabic vocabulary, especially MTs. Researchers use the ADDIE development model which has five stages, namely analysis, planning, design, implementation and evaluation. Analysis data was obtained through in-depth interviews and observations and obtained using descriptive quantitative methods to obtain valid results for the product. The results of the research show that the Monopoly game media can make it easier for students to memorize Arabic vocabulary, increase their interest in learning and make the class atmosphere more enjoyable.

Monopoly-based augmented reality game design as a practice media in learning the Physics of magnetism concepts

The most common student problems are frequently forgetting concepts, lots of memorized formulas, difficulty imagining magnetic phenomena, and lack of motivation. The uses of Augmented Reality technology can help students to visualize magnetic phenomena, increase their mastery and motivate students. This study aims to design a monopoly-based augmented reality game as a practice media in learning physics of magnetism concept. This study uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of this study are Augmented Reality-Based Monopoly Games as practice media in learning the physics of Magnetism Concepts. The game developed is very feasible according to the results of feasibility test with likert scale of 1 to 5 by media experts, software engineering experts, subject matter experts, and readability testing score by teacher and students. The results are 87.37% from media experts, 86.58% from the software engineering experts, 87.78% from subject matter experts, 87.92% from teacher, and 91.77% from students. So, it can be concluded that the Augmented Reality-Based Monopoly Games developed is very feasible as practice media in learning the physics of Magnetism Concepts.

Mega Monopoly Game for Disaster Mitigation Learning in the Context of Independent Learning for Children Aged 5-6 Years

Disaster events cause various impacts on victims, especially children. Problems in the field show that many PAUD institutions still need a game related to disaster mitigation. It is essential to carry out disaster mitigation education in PAUD units to form attitudes in early childhood. This research aims to analyze how the development of the mega monopoly game can improve the ability to save themselves from 5 types of disasters in children aged 5-6 years. This research is classified as a development research developed using the ADDIE model. The subjects involved in this research were 2 experts and 48 children. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and questionnaires, with research instruments in the form of media validity sheets. The data obtained in the research was then analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques. The research analysis results show that the validation results of PAUD material and game experts obtained an average of 92.20% and 90%. The recapitulation results of small group trials were 96.87%, and large group trials were 98%. Based on these results, the mega monopoly game for learning disaster mitigation for children aged 5-6 years is considered very valid and suitable. This research implies that the developed mega monopoly game can be used by teachers in learning to improve the ability to save themselves when a disaster occurs in children aged 5-6 years.
