Research and Application of Ventilation Simulation and Monitoring System in Chensilou Coal Mine

Mine ventilation simulation system is a set of advanced, reliable and practical ventilation simulation system, which has a function of ventilation system simulation and visualization. It solved the technical problems such as automatic establishment and management of the topological relations, automatic identification of diagonal connection and air distribution according to demand under fixed cut set. According to the complexity of ChenSiLou coal mine ventilation system, the detailed analysis research is carried on. Mine ventilation simulation system has a successful connection with the mine monitoring system, realizing the real-time monitoring and real-time query. The technology is taken to optimize and transform the ventilation system of the mine. To ensure that the optimization and transformation of the ventilation system of the mine are carried out successfully, it simulated the ventilation system reconstruction scheme of the mine .The final plan is determined and has obtained the good effect of field application.

Mine Multi-sensor Maximum Likelihood Estimation Data Fusion Algorithm

After an overall consideration of the differences in the measurement accuracy of various sensors, an improved algorithm based on consensus data fusion has been proposed, the measurement accuracy of which is reflected through weight coefficient. It is indicated in simulation that this approach can effectively reduce data variation extent when there is disturbance in sensors, improving fusion accuracy and anti-interference capability. This algorithm will be applied in the data fusion of temperature sensor, gas concentration sensor in intelligent monitoring system of coal mine.

Underground Coal Mine Ventilation Monitoring System Research

Underground coal mine monitoring system adopts single chip microcomputer and bus articulated structure, the communication mode is CAN field bus, with various intelligent sensors, it can automatically monitor various ventilation indicators of underground coal mine. The test results show that the system has realized real-time monitoring of distributed mass nodes ventilation parameters, through accurate monitoring, simple system structure and flexible operation, it fully meets the need of safe production of coal mine.

The Research And Design of Wireless Coal Mine Safety Network Monitoring System On The Basis of ZigBee

On the demands of the quick and convenient information access and coal mine computerization and networking of the modern society, we design a new intellectual wireless gateway control system on the basis of S3C2410 and Linux, achieving the wireless connection of Intellectual coal mine monitoring system and the terminal facilities. Furthermore, we focus on the research of the system’s organization and its software design and control of its terminal equipments on the basis of ZigBee. This gateway’s design program is based on the combination of self-designed ZigBee stack architectures and the embedded system on the purpose of connecting network and exchanging information. This system has a lot of advantages, such as lower complexity, lower power dissipation, lower cost, higher safety etc. And it is certain that its market will be huge in the future.

Application of 3G Technology in Coal Mine Monitoring System

Aiming at the present situation of complex environment and safety monitoring system in coal mine, this article proposes one kind design scheme about wireless system in coal mine monitoring based on the 3G technology, introduces the hardware and software design. The system makes use of monitoring terminal completed field data collection and processing, image and alarm signal are accessed internet through the 3G wireless network, realize remote monitoring center real-time video monitoring on the mine site.

Study on Coal Mine Safety Monitoring System with Emergency Voice Communication Based on Wireless Sensor Network

The drawback of the current voice communication for coal mine is that only the wired scheduling telephone or a small flexible phone for mine is used for voice contact. According to the existing coal mine environment monitoring systems, a more secure coal mine monitoring system with emergency voice communication is designed based on wireless sensor network (WSN). By introducing voice module which achieves voice, the sensor nodes and sink nodes of the monitor system are redeveloped on the Imote2 and Stargate platforms respectively. This system gives consideration to the real-time of environment data monitor and voice communication reliability in coal mine, and the key technologies of hardware design and software of sensor nodes with voice and their tasks scheduler algorithm with priority are given. This system conquers the defect of wired networks and avoids the high-energy cost of other wireless technology. The experiment results show that the designed system is simple, reliable, and economic and has a great application prospect for coal mine.

Fiber Optic Temperature and Gas Concentration Sensor for Mine Goaf Area Inner Detecting

Spontaneous combustion in coal goaf area is one of major disasters in coal mines. Detection technology based on signature Gas and Temperature is the primary means of spontaneous combustion forecasting of coal goaf area. A real-time remote fire detection system is proposed based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy technology and FBG temperature sensing technology, to achieve valid detect of gas concentration and temperature. The System include fiber mathen concentration sensor and fiber temperature sensor based FBG. The system achieved remote on-line monitoring of gas concentration and temperature in mine goaf, meet the fire forecast need for Coal goaf area. There are obvious advantages Compared with the existing beam tube monitoring system in coal mine.

Monitoring Method of Stray Current in Coal Mine on Optical Fiber Sensing Technique

In this work a novel monitoring method was developed to measure the underground stray current in coal mine with fiber current sensing technique. According to the theory of optical fiber current sensor based on Faraday magneto-optic effect, a fiber sensing system was designed and the relative experiments with current generator simulating stray current were completed. The results indicate that the measurement was influenced by birefringence and temperature change. The sensing heads with high cylindrical birefringence optical fiber had a good suppressing effect on linear birefringence and the polarization state of polarized light was also more stable than that with low birefringence optical fiber. The fiber current sensing method is doable in underground stray current monitoring system in coal mine.

The research and implementation of closedown controlling method in KJF68

A basic requirement of monitoring system in coal mine is closedown controlling on ventilation equipment，which requires controlling the ventilation equipment on time by rule according to the collecting data of gas monitoring sensors. We developed a new multifunctional monitoring station named KJF68, analyze the relations between controlling on ventilation equipment and data of gas from sensors, and research the method to implement closedown controlling on ventilation equipment in KJF68 which supports local and distant controlling the equipment automatically or manually, and finally programs to implement the method using assembly language. Now the KJF68 is applied widely in coal mines.

Gas concentration pre-warning system based on fuzzy structured element

In order to accurately test gas concentration and effectively pre-warning when the gas concentration over-limited on work face, used the high-performance and low prices SCM and the low-cost and high transfer efficiency bluetooth technology to forecast the gas concentration in real time. The data tested by SCM, then got the corresponding mathematical model of the data. Put forward the idea of using fuzzy structured element theory to dynamic forecast the gas concentration, analyzed the features in abnormal-effusing on work face and judge whether there was the possibility of abnormal gas-effusion. Simulation results show that mathematical model of this system about gas concentration is correct. This system changes coal mine monitoring system’s traditional way of after-alarming into early-warning, and thus enhances its feasibility.

Research on microseismic activity rules in Sanhejian Coal Mine

By the microseismic (MS) monitoring system of Sanhejian Coal Mine, the detail MS activity rules in the entire mining process of 9202 strong rockburst working face were studied, following main conclusions were obtained. (1) The strong correlation between MS activity and the region stress gradient was revealed. The higher the region stress gradient, the stronger the MS signal is, and the frequency-spectrum moves to lower frequency band, the amplitude begins to add gradually. (2) The different types of MS signals have the corresponding frequency-spectrum character. Such as relieve-shot MS signal shows the wide frequency-spectrum, multi-peak high frequency character, while rockburst omen signal shows the low frequency and amplitude, the mainshock signal has relatively higher frequency and amplitude. (3) To monitor and recognize rockburst dangerous region, the strong consistence between the MS signal intensity and the amplitude of electromagnetic emission (EME) signal and drilling bits measured was observed. On above, the weakening and controlling technology of MS intensity was put forward.

Improved wavelet analysis in enhancing Electromagnetic Campatibility of underground monitoring system in coal mine

Underground Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) has become so serious that there were false alarms in monitoring system, which induced troubles of coal mine safety in production. In order to overcome difficulties caused by the explosion-proof enclosure of the equipments and the limitation of multiple startup and stop in transient process during EMI measurement, a novel technique was proposed to measure underground EMI distri- bution indirectly and enhance Electromagnetic Campatibility(EMC) of the monitoring sys- tem. The wavelet time-frequency analysis was introduced to underground monitoring sys- tem. Therefore, the sources, the startup time, duration and waveform of EMI could be as- certained correctly based on running records of underground electric equipments. The electrical fast transient/burst (EFT/B) was studied to verify the validity of wavelet analysis. EMI filter was improved in accordance of the EMI distribution gotten from wavelet analysis. Power port immunity was developed obviously. In addition, the method of setting wavelet thresholds was amended based upon conventional thresholds in the wavelet filter design. Therefore the EFT/B of data port was restrained markedly with the wavelet filtering. Coor- dinative effect of EMI power and wavelet filter makes false alarms of monitoring system reduce evidently. It is concluded that wavelet analysis and the improved EMI filter have enhanced the EMC of monitoring system obviously.

Improved complex filter applied in enhancing EFT/B immunity at a coal mine monitoring substation

A monitoring system is an important guarantee of safety in a production mine. However, not all monitoring substations pass the electrical fast transient/burst (EFT/B) immunity test and the explosion-proof test simultaneously. To enhance the immunity, the values of capacitance and inductance should be increased, which are actually limited by coal mine explosion-proof standards. Hence, for the first time, an active filter was applied in an electromagnetic interference (EMI) output filter. As a result, the interference within 30 MHz clearly weakened, but the frequency spectrum had a wide range. An EMI input filter and ferrite beads were adopted to restrain higher frequency interference. An output interference spectrogram of the substation was obtained with an analyzer. The results indicate that the improved complex filtering markedly help to control interference. With the support of improved complex filtering and other enhancing immunity means about I/O ports, the substation managed to pass both the EFT/B immunity test and the explosion-proof test synchronously. We conclude that improved complex filtering is of vital importance in enhancing the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of the coal mine monitoring system.

Neural Network Based Algorithm and Simulation of Information Fusion in the Coal Mine

Abstract The concepts of information fusion and the basic principles of neural networks are introduced. Neural networks were introduced as a way of building an information fusion model in a coal mine monitoring system. This assures the accurate transmission of the multi-sensor information that comes from the coal mine monitoring systems. The information fusion mode was analyzed. An algorithm was designed based on this analysis and some simulation results were given. Finally, conclusions that could provide auxiliary decision making information to the coal mine dispatching officers were presented.

Inflammable gas concentration monitoring is an important part of centralized monitoring system in coalmine. That assists safety mining operation without gas explosion or gas combustion in deeper gassy coal faces in Japanese coal mines. Experiencing serious inflammable gas related disasters, a lot of efforts had been paid on researches and developments of inflammable gas measurement systems. Considerable financial resources distributed to the installation of inflammable gas measurement system in underground coalmines. However, as Japanese mine safety management system has not employed probabilistic evaluation, the total effect of the measurement system and reliability had not been evaluated before.Therefore, the question about excess of shortage of safety measure had caused. To derive the answer to the question, the authors investigated inflammable gas measurement system of a Japanese coalmine, and analyzed its reliability, especially in instantaneous failure rates.The authors developed Fault Tree about gas explosion or combustion accidents in relation with detection failure of inflammable gases. Then, we identified failures of the measurement system using Failure Modes and Effective Analysis format.The authors collected failure frequency rates data by site measurements, interviews about error frequency, and questionnaires about humane errors.As the result of those surveys and analysis, the authors obtained the following data; yearly drift error value and error rates of automatic inflammable gas alarms (detectors), error rates of the whole automatic methane detection system, human error rates of portable interferometer type methane detectors. Based on the data, the authors calculated the total instantaneous failure rates of whole automatic methane detection system. Then compare the present system with '60th and '80th system and discussed about potential surplus rule and over safety measurement devices installation in mines.

A production system for intelligent monitoring systems

Conventional monitoring systems use data-collection techniques to obtain sensor data about various aspects of hazardous workplaces such as coal mines and provide warnings. However, they are ill-equipped for making complex decisions involving large amounts of interrelated data. Laser/RPS, a C language-based object-oriented production system, is presented, and those programming system features that can be used to develop intelligent monitoring systems are described. Potential applications of this system to underground coal mine monitoring systems are discussed.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>

Test Criteria and Methodology for Evaluation of Coal Mine Monitoring and Control Systems

Field evaluation of coal mine monitoring and control systems yields data on installation and maintenance, but does not provide a full evaluation of these systems under all possible conditions. Also, the differences in installations and configurations do not allow the performance of different systems to be measured and compared. Under contract of the United States Bureau of Mines (USBM), the West Virginia University (WVU) Department of Electrical Engineering has designed criteria for evaluation of monitoring systems, and a test facility for simulation of mine conditions. This facility provides evaluation of monitoring and control systems under both normal and abnormal conditions. This paper describes the test criteria chosen, the design of the test facility, and the experiences of tests performed on mine monitoring systems to date.
