This paper describes an application of the Modular Modeling System (MMS) in the modeling of an 1100 MWe Westinghouse PWR plant to study plant behavior during a condensate and condensate booster pump trip. The purpose of this study was to satisfy plant operators that in the event of a condensate pump and booster pump trip the standby pumps could start and develop adequate condensate flow to maintain full load operation. This paper describes the PWR model and shows preliminary results of the condensate pump trip transient.
