Ensuring Cybersecurity in Action Electronic Commerce Enterprises in the Conditions of Implementation of the Sustainable Development Model

Objective: The article analyzes modern trends and prospects for the development of e-commerce enterprises in the modern digital world in the conditions of implementation of the sustainable development model. Theoretical Framework: The main attention is paid to the issues of ensuring the cybersecurity of the work of such enterprises, taking into account the active development of digital technologies, including and in the field of cyber fraud. Method: The following were the main research methods in the work: content analysis, generalization, description, forecasting, statistical methods. Results and Discussion: The prerequisites for the creation and features of the functioning of e-commerce enterprises were specified, the impact of digital technologies on individual business processes of such enterprises, including primarily their marketing activities, was described. The article also identifies the reasons for the importance of e-commerce enterprises forming their own information security systems, and describes the role of such systems in ensuring the effective operation of these economic entities in the conditions of implementation of the sustainable development model. Research Implications: Accordingly, the main directions of ensuring the reliability of the cyber protection system of e-commerce enterprises in the modern world were also analyzed and determined. Originality/Value: Special attention was paid to the study of modern trends in cyber protection in the world, the forecast of the further development of cyber fraud in the economic sphere.

Determinants and consequence of brand loyalty: a study of cell phone users in Pakistan

In the modern world, every marketing manager must cover the market through their products and sell them quickly. This study is conducted in Pakistan. This research highlights the variables that are important for selling the product as well as cell phones. The mobile phone industry is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. A majority of the young population uses cell phones. Inducting new technology and design attracts the users and makes them loyal to create profit. For cell phone operators, loyalty is of greater interest; it is also the profitability and survival of a business. The study objective is to explore the LO, CO, TR, SA, IN, BI, WOM, and PI in the cell phone industry. The sample size is 500, and convenience and proposed statistical techniques are used from reliable base papers. The instrument is adopted and statistically analysed the collected primary data from smart PLS, and demographic data analysed through SPSS software. In short, the result shows the significance of all variable relations: LO, CO, TR, SA, IN, BI, WOM, and PI. This research is helpful for the marketing managers in the cell phone industry, especially marketing managers in the Pakistan cell phone industry.

American imperial exceptionalism? Texas secondary World History depictions of American empire, 1925–2016

ABSTRACT This article explores the connection between American exceptionalism and empire denialism by examining high-school World History textbooks approved for use in the state of Texas from the 1920s to 2016. Scholarship suggests that the powerful ideology of American exceptionalism is deeply uneasy about the role of the United States as an imperial power in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. But despite this widespread assumption, World History textbooks for the past century have routinely labelled the United States an empire, and directly compared US actions with those of European colonising powers. Some textbooks portrayed this as a unique and aberrant time in US history. But other textbook accounts over the past century have made the case that US imperialism brought about material and political benefits to colonised peoples. In other words, a common thread in World History textbooks suggests that America created an exceptional empire. American imperialism was linked to an underlying narrative of the spread of European or Western civilisation, viewed as a cornerstone of modern world history.

Analysis of machine learning models for traffic accidents severity classification

In the modern world, traffic accidents frequently result in fatalities and serious injuries. The ability of machine learning to foretell the severity of road traffic accidents has shown great promise. The classification of traffic accidents has shown to be a good application for algorithms like random forest. In this paper, performance on a specific dataset has been evaluated using random forest and other models. The dataset used for the analysis came from a publicly accessible source and contained information on several variables like the type of road, the time of day, and the weather. In order to analyze the severity of accidents, a number of algorithms were applied to the dataset, including decision tree, random forest classifier, and logistic regression algorithm. Each model was evaluated on parameters such as model accuracy, precision and recall of the model, and F1 score. The random forest classifier outperformed the other models, achieving an accuracy of 98.48%. The study concludes that machine learning algorithms can accurately predict the severity of road traffic accidents, which could help to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities on the road.

Digital tools for territory branding

Territory branding is actively used for the deve­lopment and promotion of villages, towns, cities, regions, and countries in the modern world. And if earlier traditional marketing tools were enough for effective branding and promo­tion, today it is mandatory to use digital mar­keting methods and tools. The aim of the article is to substantiate and systematize digital ma­rketing methods and tools for territory branding. When conducting the research, general scientific and special methods were used: dialectical, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparative analysis, grouping, structural-logi­cal, logical generalization of results, as well as graphic. The essence, the principles and func­tions of territory branding have been determi­ned. Segments of the target audience for the promotion of territory brands have been identi­fied, such as: investors, entrepreneurs, the popu­lation, tourists. The brand development direc­tions of Ukraine and its territories are outlined. The internal and external factors of the marke­ting environment of territories are highlighted and the concept of territory branding in the digi­tal environment has been given. Digital chan­nels, methods and tools of territory branding are substantiated and systematized.

Nauczyciel wczesnej edukacji w obliczu problematyki tanatologicznej

Introduction: Including elements of thanatological education in early education is a necessary aspect of upbringing. Reaching the end of one’s life, the needs of a dying person and of his loved ones – these are difficult subjects, giving rise to strong, negative emotions. In the modern world, the experience of death has unfortunately become much closer, often also personally painful. The COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine have caused a significant worsening of mental functioning in children as well as adults. Thanatological education at the stage of classes I–III in elementary school is therefore a difficult task, often overpassing the capabilities of even the most experienced and talented teachers. Research Aim: The article presents the subject of thanatological education as a challenge for the early education teacher, on the basis of subject literature, and the study’s purpose was to present the preparation of early education teachers in this area on the basis of their self-evaluation and to conduct a diagnosis of these competencies with reference to work experience on the basis of our own research. Method: In the research, use was made of a diagnostic survey, with the questionnaire technique and an online questionnaire (Google Forms). For analysis of the study material, elements of descriptive statistics were used. Results: Research results have indicated that most early education teachers do not possess sufficient competencies in the area of thanatological education, and for half of them, the subject of death is a difficult topic of conversation with children. At the same time, teachers realize the need to support a pupil suffering after the loss of a close person and declare that they offer help in this matter. Conclusions: The subject of death is everywhere present. The early education teacher should be aware that a conversation about dying is a very difficult, delicate subject for the young child. It is often related to dramatic events and stirs negative emotions in pupils. The teacher should have knowledge in the matter of thanatology, with skills and ease of conversation on this level; he should demonstrate sensitivity, tact and empathy towards the pupil in mourning. Therefore, it is suggested that thanatological education be included in the program of pedagogical studies. It has become necessary to consciously perceive the role and place of thanatological education as one of the necessary elements of early school education.

In the modern world, the HR brand occupies a key place in the company’s personnel strategy. Demonstrating its values and mission allows a company to attract only those employees with whom the company has similar views. At the same time, the development of internal HR branding increases the loyalty of personnel, which in the future also allows increasing brand awareness among job seekers. The formation of an HR brand directly depends on the events and tools that the company chooses for itself. The significance of the study is due to the fact that in the modern world, the competitiveness of an organization is determined not only by the quantity and quality of products produced, but also by the quality of human capital that needs to be attracted and retained. The formation of an HR brand contributes to solving organizational problems in two vectors: implementing the HR management process within the organization; attracting potential personnel using the attractiveness of the company’s HR brand. HR branding is a set of activities that are organized and implemented by the company’s HR/PR departments. Their main goal for fulfilling organizational tasks is to increase the company’s recognition in the market, attractiveness to potential future employees, and increase the company’s support from existing personnel. External HR branding is manifested in organizational activities aimed at increasing the attractiveness of potential personnel and hiring candidates who meet the requirements. Intra-organizational HR branding is aimed at developing loyalty, support, involvement and commitment of staff to the interests and mission of the organization. The company’s HR brand, as an important component of its effective development, is part of the organization’s mission, serves to achieve its goals in a competitive market.

Children’s rights in the modern world: challenges and prospects of legal protection

This research article analyzes the challenges and prospects of legal protection of children's rights in the modern world. We consider the main problems faced by children in different countries, such as violence, child labor, hostilities, and limited access to education and medical services. We provide examples of effective approaches to protecting children’s rights, including the creation of specialized bodies and the development of programs and projects. We pay special attention to the Ukrainian context and suggest measures to improve the situation of children’s rights in Ukraine, including strengthening legislation and conducting educational campaigns. The article describes international standards of children’s rights and innovative approaches to their protection.

Solution-processed NO2 gas sensor based on poly(3-hexylthiophene)-doped PbS quantum dots operable at room temperature

The global industrial development and increase in the number of transportation vehicles, such as automobiles and ships, have led to a steady increase in the issues related to greenhouse gas emissions. NO2 is a greenhouse gas emitted in large quantities from automobiles and factories, and its emission is unavoidable in the modern world. Therefore, a sensor capable of precise detection of NO2 is required. The most commonly reported types of NO2 sensors are those based on metal oxides. However, their operation at room temperature is impossible owing to their high-temperature operating characteristics, and therefore, a heater must be designed inside or installed outside the sensor for heating. Meanwhile, NO2 sensors based on PbS quantum dots (QDs) are advantageous as they can operate at room temperature and can be easily manufactured through a solution process rather than a complicated semiconductor process. Herein, a NO2 sensor was fabricated by doping PbS QDs with poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT). The as-developed sensor exhibited high responsivity to 100–0.4-ppm NO2 gas with a resolution of 200 ppb owing to the stability of the thin film and high hole mobility of P3HT.

The article describes an approach to designing an ideal human-car subsystem. Ensuring road safety in the modern world is a pressing issue. The number of people injured or killed on the road (with the goal of ensuring zero mortality) is still very high. The drivers’ role in creating the prerequisites for road accidents is also extremely significant, but neither abandoning motor transport use nor radically reducing the drivers’ number among the population of large cities seems possible and reasonable. However, turning to psychological approaches and methods for solving safety problems can bring the long-awaited effect. The paper speaks about using the resource approach to designing ideal human-car subsystems (from the viewpoint of reliability) which are in turn part of the driver-car-road-environment system. To design such systems, it is necessary to combine the capabilities of psychology in the field of psychodiagnostics of the driver’s professionally important qualities, the resource approach (which involves using three types of resources by the subject, namely intra-individual, inter-individual and extra-individual), as well as the capabilities provided by the technical characteristics and technical systems of modern vehicles. The article demonstrates an approach based on which it is possible to propose solutions for supplementing, duplicating or limiting the driver’s capabilities using extra-individual resources (technical systems and technical characteristics of the vehicle). The paper presents data of an empirical study conducted based on the experts’ opinion in the transport industry. The authors make conclusions regarding the prospects of the proposed approach.

Interactions between neural representations of the social and spatial environment.

Even in our highly interconnected modern world, geographic factors play an important role in human social connections. Similarly, social relationships influence how and where we travel, and how we think about our spatial world. Here, we review the growing body of neuroscience research that is revealing multiple interactions between social and spatial processes in both humans and non-human animals. We review research on the cognitive and neural representation of spatial and social information, and highlight recent findings suggesting that underlying mechanisms might be common to both. We discuss how spatial factors can influence social behaviour, and how social concepts modify representations of space. In so doing, this review elucidates not only how neural representations of social and spatial information interact but also similarities in how the brain represents and operates on analogous information about its social and spatial surroundings.This article is part of the theme issue 'The spatial-social interface: a theoretical and empirical integration'.

The Effect of COVID-19 and COVID-19 Vaccination on Assisted Human Reproduction Outcomes: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

The most discussed infectious disease is coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus. Many research endeavors have focused on the effects of the virus on reproductive organs, as these have also been shown to carry the receptors to which the virus attaches. The results of assisted reproductive technology (ART) have been significantly affected by the pandemic, with some in vitro fertilization (IVF) centers being closed due to the risk of further spread of the disease. According to World Health Organization statistics, 17.5% of adults worldwide suffered from fertility problems in 2023; in other words, one in six people in the world have reproductive health problems. As infertility is a growing problem in the modern world and new developments in assisted reproduction are always a topic of profound interest, it is important to understand the impact of SARS-CoV-2 on reproductive health. This systematic review aimed to examine studies describing patients undergoing ART procedures with a COVID-19-positive history and to shed light on the recent evidence on the safety of COVID-19 vaccination in the ART context. A meta-analysis was conducted to confirm the results of the systematic review. The results showed a significant difference in clinical pregnancy rates between the vaccinated and unvaccinated groups and an increased miscarriage rate in those with a COVID-19-positive history. However, no significant difference in clinical pregnancy and birth rates was found in participants with a previous COVID-19 infection. The results show that further studies and research are needed, even though the spread and impact of the virus have decreased. Evidence-based information for individuals and couples undergoing infertility treatment is vital to enable informed decision-making.

Dynamics of knowledge creation and use for disaster management in Chokwe district, Mozambique

PurposeDisaster management practices depend on societies' knowledge. As climate change rapidly reshapes knowledge, questions arise about how knowledge for disaster management is produced and (re)shaped in modern world and how effective it is to withstand the ever-growing frequency and magnitude of disasters. This paper discusses the dynamics of knowledge creation and its use for disaster management in Chokwe district, southern Mozambique.Design/methodology/approachThe study reviews historical archives to identify how disaster management knowledge has changed from pre-colonization to the present.FindingsBefore colonization, local knowledge associated with traditions of asking gods and ancestors for rain and blessings in life prevailed. With colonization, around the 1500s, Portuguese rulers attempted to eliminate these local practices through an inflow of European settlers who disseminated scientific knowledge, built dams and irrigation schemes, which changed the region’s knowledge base and regimes of flooding and drought. After independence in 1975, the new government nationalized all the private property, expelled the settlers and imposed a socialist order. All knowledge on disaster management was dictated by the new government; those against this new order were sent to re-education centers implanted nationwide. Centralization of knowledge and power was, therefore, implanted. Socialism collapsed by the 1990s, and over time, there has been an amalgam of different knowledge bases and attempts to recognize local disaster management practices.Originality/valueThe Chokwe case shows that knowledge for disaster management evolves with local socioeconomic, political and environmental changes.

The Concept of Religious Experience by Rudolf Otto: A Phenomenological Approach

This study investigates and analyzes the religious experiences of Rudolf Otto using a phenomenological approach. The main objective of this study is to explore Otto's interpretation of religious experience and his contribution to the field of phenomenology. The research problem focuses on understanding how Otto's concept provides a framework for examining religious experiences that go beyond ordinary or everyday experience. The study uses a literature review, document analysis, and phenomenological analysis of Otto's works, including his important text, Das Heilige (The Idea of the Holy), and his personal documents, such as letters, journals, and notes. The study reveals that Otto's concept of the "Almighty" refers to a divine presence that transcends logical understanding and evokes deep emotional and intuitive responses. These findings demonstrate the importance of Otto's contribution to the phenomenology of religion, both theoretically and methodologically. Otto's insights have provided important insights for examining the complexity and richness of religious experiences in the modern world.

Aspects of translation of Russian linguistic realities of N.V. Gogol’s novel “Dead Souls” into Chinese language

Abstract In the modern world, characterised by the increasing popularity of world literature, there exists an escalating demand for accurate and culturally adapted translations that convey the semantic accuracy and meaning of the original text. The purpose of this study is to analyze the specific features of translating antonyms into Chinese reflecting everyday realities in N.V. Gogol’s novel “Dead Souls”. The following methods were used to achieve the research objectives: hypothetical-deductive, content analysis, and comparative. The study determined that the novel “Dead Souls” is rich in Russian everyday realities and antonyms that convey the linguocultural features of the time within the context of the literary work. In addition, it was revealed that translators face the challenge of conveying Russian everyday realities and cultural features in the Chinese translation. This includes the problem of adapting antonyms that may be unfamiliar or have a different meaning in Chinese culture. The translation of antonyms must maintain semantic accuracy and comparability with the original to convey the meaning and contrast that antonyms create in the text. The study showed that the translation of antonyms can influence Chinese readers’ perception of the text. Their correct rendering preserves the meaning and structure of the original, which is significant for a full understanding of the literary work. As a result of a comparative analysis of Chinese translations of N.V. Gogol’s novel “Dead Souls”, various aspects influencing the translation of antonyms and their role in conveying Russian everyday realities were revealed. Practical significance lies in the use of the findings of this study by the researchers engaged in the translation of literary works, as well as specialists in the fields of literary studies, linguistics, and translation studies.

The Role of Ergonomics in Stress Management

In the modern fast-paced world, stress significantly impacts both individual well-being and workplace efficiency. Ergonomics, the study of designing workspaces to meet users' needs, provides a practical solution to mitigate stress. This paper investigates the connection between ergonomic design and stress management, exploring how workplace factors contribute to stress and how ergonomic improvements can alleviate it. We will examine the physical and psychological effects of poor ergonomics, review strategies for reducing stress through ergonomic design, and highlight the benefits of incorporating ergonomic principles into workplace practices.

Theocratically bounded communal self-governance: a pre-modern solution for the modern world?

Shadi Hamid proposes “democratic minimalism” as a system and means of governing and rotating power with no prejudice to substantive ideological outcomes. Democratic minimalism is meant to decouple the question of actualizing an ideal society, even a liberal one that provides maximum freedom for the maximum groups of people, from the mechanism of transferring power between groups with opposing beliefs. I sympathize with Hamid’s arguments. Hamid, I believe, correctly identifies the tension between liberal democracy and Islam in the Muslim world in that Muslims if given the choice may not support liberal policies. He also, I think, rightly concludes that the way to live with this dilemma consists of preserving plurality and the possibility of change through persuasion and thoughtful contestation, and not autocratic leadership. However, I argue, he does not sufficiently problematize the nation-state in his analysis. Drawing on the Islamic tradition, I argue we can make progress in this regard by deconstructing the nation-state to make room for communal self-governance and moral heterodoxies.

Secure Healthcare Data Storage and Transmission: A Review of Current Technologies and Future Directions

The development of websites, applications, and the first social networks profoundly altered everyone's life and became the catalyst for advancement on a global scale. The days of immovable points, phones, and printing presses are long gone. But is everything really as perfect as it looks? Perhaps the most contentious thing in history is progress. We now have the freedom to express our ideas without fear, connect with individuals around the globe, and access a seemingly limitless amount of knowledge thanks to the Internet. But as time goes on, concerns about the cloudlessness of virtual existence become more and more prevalent; we have been captured by things that do not exist in reality. Apart from the well-known hazards like terrorism and global warming, the growth of the Internet has given rise to entirely unknown and novel perils that have infiltrated our life. We refer to this phenomena as "cybercrime". Any form of criminal activity carried out virtually is referred to as cybercrime. Ten to twenty years ago, this phenomena was known only to specialised specialists. IT industry, and it is currently a worldwide issue. Although everyone and the IT sector receive adequate security measures and equipment, cybercrime is nevertheless increasing at a very rapid pace in parallel. There are several security problems and cyberthreats in the modern world. With new technology emerging daily, we can predict major issues in the road. In this work a Secure Healthcare Data Storage and Transmission in WAN area is discussed.

Analysis of Public Health Care Management in Women Suffering from PCOS in India

The concept of "health" is multifaceted and goes beyond simply being free from sickness or illness. Because the concept of health is so nebulous, it is difficult to define. Not only have the most common types of health problems changed over time, but so has our comprehension of health. In the modern world, behaviour often affects one's health because it is influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors. Reproductive processes and events mix with psychological and physiological aspects. In a similar vein, psychological disorders influence reproductive physiology and control reproductive processes. The empirical data points to several aspects that require attention for a deeper comprehension of psychological suffering and ultimately its avoidance. It is quite difficult to learn about the evolution of distress, which means that it is hard to distinguish between acute and persistent manifestations of this condition. According to the few studies that have looked into the problem of psychological discomfort in gynaecology out-patient clinics, women who frequent these clinics are thought to be more distressed than typical—about 50% of them, on average. Additionally, this study will identify the psychosocial variables and aetiology of PCOS in women.

An Analysis on Challenges Faced by cyber Security on the latest Technologies

Cybersecurity is crucial to the information technology industry. One of the largest problems of the modern world is information security. The first thing that springs to mind when considering cyber security is cybercrimes, which are escalating at an alarming rate. Numerous governmental bodies and corporations are implementing numerous strategies to deter cybercrimes (Hakeem et al., 2020). Despite these precautions, many people continue to have serious concerns about cyber security. the challenges that cybersecurity encounters when coping with the most recent technologies are investigated in this paper. This research investigates the ways in which digital systems might be protected from emerging dangers like as attacks driven by artificial intelligence, weaknesses in quantum computing, and problems with Internet of Things security. The report highlights the challenges that cybersecurity professionals face and highlights the necessity of developing new tactics and working together in order to ensure that our data and computer systems remain secure in a world where technology is always evolving.
