Information System for Managing Incoming and Outgoing Mail at the Central Statistics Agency of West Sumba Regency

BPS West Sumba Regency still manages mail manually, facing issues of efficiency, transparency and accuracy. Manual processes risk document loss and recording errors. This research aims to identify problems and recommend an integrated information system. This innovation is expected to increase productivity, reduce errors, and speed up decision-making at BPS. Rapid Application Development (RAD) is a software development model that focuses on accelerating processing time. This approach combines object-oriented development methods and structured techniques to accelerate the process of creating a system or application. The research showed that the implementation of the new information system at BPS West Sumba Regency improved operational efficiency. Mail processing time dropped from 3 hours to 1 hour, and the error rate was reduced from 15% to 2%. User satisfaction increased from 60% to 90%, which had a positive impact on employee motivation. Strengthening Public Child Healthcare: Development of an Immunization Management Information System for a Local Community in Southern Mindanao, Philippines

While the private healthcare sector rapidly embraces technological advancements, public and local communities struggle to keep pace with these innovations. Community health personnel's reliance on outdated manual methods for managing children's immunization records hinders timely updates and impedes the creation of reliable vaccination schedules, creating obstacles in providing accurate services to the growing young population. To address these challenges, the researchers developed an Immunization Management Information System, employing the Evolutionary Prototyping Software Development Model, which allowed for iterative improvements and customization to meet specific requirements. It incorporates technologies such as a centralized database, a web-based interface, and Short Message Service notification functionality to automate immunization management tasks. Healthcare professionals can record and track immunization details, manage vaccine inventory, generate reports, and send notifications to parents about upcoming immunization schedules. The results demonstrated a system that streamlines and enhances the management of immunization records and processes at the health center, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of services. Discussions on the system's technological features and future research directions are provided, encouraging Information System scholars to contribute to impactful research and development.

The CubeSat nanosatellite concept has been a game-changer in the field of space science research and the development of cutting-edge space technologies. The primary factors for their success are low cost, relative simplicity of production, and predictable lifecycle. CubeSats are highly important for preparing future engineers: bachelor's and master's students of aerospace universities. Therefore, the use of CubeSats is a cost-effective way to explore near space and conduct scientific work. However, there are many issues related to the effective development of software, ensuring software quality at the system level, maintenance, and reuse of software code. The advantages and disadvantages of both classical and modern agile (Agile) software development lifecycle models are considered. To enhance flexibility and reduce the complexity of CubeSat projects, a combined model for the development of a hardware-software data processing module is proposed, which combines the advantages of two models: the waterfall model for hardware development and the agile model for software development. For a comprehensive assessment of the combined model of the data processing hardware-software module development process, the SWOT analysis methodology is used, which is a popular strategic planning tool. For its implementation, the strengths and weaknesses, external opportunities, and threats of the combined model of the data processing hardware-software module development process were formulated. The proposed combined model will allow student teams with limited experience to develop hardware-software data processing modules with minimal risks, ensuring code reuse and increasing the attractiveness of student CubeSat projects.

The purpose of setting up SIMRS is to improve efficiency, effectiveness, professionalism, performance, and access and services in hospitals. In the preparation of this paper, data was collected through observation methods, interviews, literature studies, and the application of software development models using the waterfall method. The result is the design of a web-based patient registration information system using Laravel and MySQL as a database. Hospitals face several problems, including data redundancy in the input process and less than optimal data presentation, making it difficult to manipulate, change, and delete data. The author hopes that the development of a new information system can simplify and speed up the data input process. The information system designed is expected to make it easier for patients to register online as well as assist admins in the patient registration process, making it easier to make registration reports.

Design model augmented reality of digital tourism education for reduce paper use

Abstract Tourism learning as a form of education currently still uses conventional methods, such as using books as learning media. This method has an impact on the large number of papers needs to print into the books so that all students have them and learning by the book. The usage of this papers, that we know comes from trees, can be reduced, by using Augmented Reality (AR) Technology. In addition, with AR we can include learning materials according to the curriculum into the AR application. This paper proposed the design model of AR prototype that can be used as a learning medium with tourism objects. The use of the proposed AR model aimed to enhancing user education in tourism education, learning literacy, numeracy, and psycholiteracy, while promoting environmental sustainability by reducing paper usage. The proposed model has several steps, such as developing the AR Eduwisata application, disseminating the app for the user, namely elementary school students, so becomes a learning stimulus for students and produces learning responses, and has an impact on student habits in each of their learning activities. We also proposed a software development model namely prototyping model. Future research will focus on implementing AR, expanding the 3D object tourism, and performing evaluations to various users in elementary schools in Bangka Belitung.

Agile Software Development with Secure and Scrum-Centric Approach

The fulfillment of agile models is crucial for ensuring that a software development project's tasks are completed efficiently and collaboratively. The definitions of the project architecture are usually performed in these models. Factors such as delivery time, cost and maintenance are determined. In traditional methods, project stages are carried out sequentially. After one of the stages is completed, another one is performed. When an innovation or change is attempted at any point in the project, some problems occur. These problems can generally be solved with Scrum agile methods, where communication is highlighted and processes are performed more flexibly. It is an undeniable fact that Scrum and security issues can be brought together when incorporating the Scrum strategy into software development models. In such a case, models are used that allow Security and Scrum to work within a framework. In this study, scientific studies based on scientific evidence aimed at eliminating incompatibilities in software development systematics were analyzed. The distribution of the publication years, the relation of scrum and security, the citation topic, the bibliometric maps and co-citation report are used in these analysis. In the result of these analyses, bibliometric and statistical analysis results of studies in the literature on software development that includes security principles with the Scrum model were revealed. When the results obtained in the experiments were examined, it was concluded that it was possible to develop secure software with an architecture in which Scrum and Security models were used together. During the software development phase, it enables proactive risk management by blending scrum and security elements. It also allows teams to detect security vulnerabilities during the software development phase. These facilitate the creation of a more secure and durable software product.

Effectiveness of Virtual Account Integrated Academic Information System for Increased Educational Efficiency and Transparency

Academic information system (SIAKAD) plays an important role in the management of educational data in higher education institutions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an academic information system integrated with virtual accounts at Medan Aviation Polytechnic, in order to improve efficiency and transparency in financial management. This research uses R&D (Research & Development) method with waterfall software development model. Data was collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Observations were conducted to understand the data processing process, while interviews and questionnaires were used to obtain input from the study program admin and academic admin. The results showed that the integrated academic information system has functioned well. Features such as KRS filling, transcript printing, and payment confirmation can be accessed by various users, including university admins, study program admins, lecturers, and students. Users reported increased efficiency in managing academic and financial data. The implementation of SIAKAD integrated with virtual accounts provides significant benefits in terms of transparency and reduction of human error in data processing. The system facilitates real-time access to information, which is essential for informed decision-making in education management. This study concludes that the implementation of SIAKAD integrated with virtual accounts is effective in improving the efficiency and transparency of academic and financial data management at Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. Recommendations for further development include enhancing system features to support diverse user needs.

NEW TRANSLITERATION PROGRAM “COTOGWA” DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. The purpose of the work is to develop a program for transliteration and refactoring of mechanically typed text “CotoGwa”. A literary analysis of the research problem is presented. The choice of ways, technologies and means of solving the task is substantiated. The functional and structural scheme of the program is substantiated. The process of developing a software product is highlighted. Comparative characteristics of analogues are carried out and their shortcomings are described. The advantages of the developed product are defined too. The software development model and used scientific research methods are justified. The practical application of the created product is described step by step. Testing and debugging of the program is described. Considering the implementation of the software, the architectural solutions and technologies used in the project were analyzed. The program takes into account the needs of users and can be easily extended to provide additional functionality thanks to the flexibility and extensive functionality of the C# programming language. In the future, the development of the program will include additional options to create even greater convenience and speed of use by users. Taking into account feedback from users can contribute to the further development of this software in the field of text printing. In general, the development makes it possible to efficiently and conveniently enter and edit text, reducing time spent on additional printing principles and facilitating routine tasks for users.

Refining the Scrum Paradigm: A Comprehensive Study of Software Development Practices (2020-2023)

This article presents a complex vision on software production practices aimed at enhancing the Scrum methodology within software project management. The recommended best practices are closely aligned with contemporary trends in the IT sector, including the total digitalization and virtualization of production processes, the transition to fully remote software development models, the incorporation of artificial intelligence technologies, and the implementation of cost-effective models in team organization. The modifications to software production processes discussed herein are grounded in research conducted between 2020 and 2023, encompassing insights from leading Russian, European, and global IT companies. This research underscores a significant transformation in IT business practices, reflecting a shift towards new benchmarks for Scrum team efficiency. These benchmarks emphasize the data-driven formalization of production models, automation facilitated by AI tools, and noticeable cost optimization within engineering teams, which collectively align with the evolving demands of the modern IT landscape. The article details a series of management strategies designed to adapt to these shifts, including the formalization of sprint goals and processes within Scrum, management of technical debt, and the cost-efficient organization of development teams.

ІНКРЕМЕНТНИЙ ПІДХІД ДО ПЛАНУВАННЯ РОБОТИ СТУДЕНТІВ НАД СПІЛЬНИМ ПРОГРАМНИМ ПРОЄКТОМ

As of today, well-known product and outsourcing IT companies use Agile models for the software development life cycle (SDLC), the advantages of which include rapid adaptation to changes, continuous feedback, improved product quality, increased team engagement, focus on customer value, transparency and control, as well as the reduction of internal and external risks. All Agile models are iterative, meaning the development process is divided into separate, similar iterations, which have different names in different models. Familiarization with and practical application of modern Agile models by students at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the field of information technology is an important task for future IT specialists. To achieve this task, the most popular Agile model, Scrum, was chosen, which is also incremental, meaning that each iteration delivers additional functionality that is ready for use. The main roles of participants and their responsibilities, artifacts, and ceremonies of the Scrum process are reviewed. The article proposes applying the Scrum model for iterative and incremental software development that will solve a multi-criteria optimization problem using a game-theoretic approach. The formulation and general algorithm for solving the multi-criteria optimization problem using a game-theoretic approach are presented, as well as an example of formulating the Product Backlog, which contains twelve functional requirements to be implemented by the student Scrum team over twelve iterations (sprints). The recommended process for dividing students into Scrum teams and assigning roles to participants is described. An example of incremental implementation based on the Scrum model of the SDLC for solving the multi-criteria optimization problem using a game-theoretic approach is also provided.

Mobile-based Application Development on Admission of New Students with Design Science Research Methodology

Increased use of mobile devices in recent years has led to a change in human behavior as users. Mobile devices today are being used for a wide range of sectors ranging from entertainment, and business to education. In the field of education, it can be used to interact between teachers and students, and lecturers with students, and can also be done for registration of New Student Admission. The presence of PMB registration through mobile devices can help prospective students apply wherever they are without having to come directly to the campus. It's not implemented by the Indonesian Siber University. (Cyber University). The Cyber University campus is currently implementing New Student Admission registration directly through the campus, so this process is still likely to take a long time. To solve the problem, this study will solve the problem of new student enrolment that is still being done manually to be digitized by building mobile-based applications. The method to be used is the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) known as the fast method because it includes the Agile software development model. The programming language used is the Dart-based Flutter framework. As a result of the research carried out, the mobile-based PMB application on the Cyber University was successfully constructed and in line with expectations. This study aims to design and develop the Muggle Cloud service website integrated with WHMCS (Web Host Manager Complete Solution) and Tidio LiveChat. The background of this research is the need for a hosting platform that can manage hosting services, payments, and customer support effectively and efficiently. Many hosting companies currently face difficulties in integrating account management systems, payment processes, and customer support, resulting in suboptimal services for users. The purpose of this research is to develop an integrated system that can solve these problems by providing a website that facilitates hosting service management and supports real-time interaction between customers and technical support. The method used in this research is the Waterfall software development model, which includes the stages of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data were collected through literature studies, interviews with related parties, and analysis of existing systems. The results of the research show that the integration between WHMCS and Tidio LiveChat on the Muggle Cloud platform successfully provides an effective solution for managing hosting services and customer support. The implementation of this system not only simplifies administrative and payment processes but also increases responsiveness to customer needs and inquiries through live chat features. The conclusion of this research is that the integrated system can improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction in hosting service companies and make an important contribution to the development of integrated hosting service management technology.

Design Of Simulation Application System For Corporate Income Tax

The design of the corporate income tax simulation application system aims to provide an effective and efficient tool for companies in calculating income tax liabilities in accordance with applicable tax regulations. The research method used is to start identifying problems through literature studies related to corporate taxes and interviews with users. Then analyze the needs related to the required features, security, performance and ease of use. The development system used is the waterfall model method. The waterfall model method is one of the software development models in the SDLC (Sequencial Development Life Cycle) model. Waterfall models are often also called linear sequence models or classic life flows. Key features developed include an intuitive user interface, flexibility in handling companies of various sizes, and strict data security to protect sensitive financial information. With a comprehensive design and focusing on user needs, this application is expected to be a reliable solution in supporting corporate income tax management.

This study discusses the importance of selecting an appropriate information system development method before starting the development process to ensure the creation of a system that meets expectations. Although there are many methodologies or models for software development, confusion often arises when choosing the most suitable one based on specific situations or environments. The article also outlines the basic concepts of systems, accounting information systems, and the stages of system analysis, including proposal preparation, system analysis implementation, and the preparation of system analysis reports. The research methodology used is library research, which involves studying literature and analyzing various written information sources. The findings highlight the importance of written documentation at each stage of system development to effectively communicate plans and findings to information users, as well as the significance of employing effective information-gathering techniques during system analysis. Therefore, selecting the right method and maintaining thorough documentation are crucial to successfully developing an information system that meets user needs and supports organizational goals.

Smart recommender for the configuration of software project development teams

The development of Social Media has caused an incredible change in the way people communicate and share information. It provides a set of platforms, web-based applications and services that facilitate the collaborative creation of content and the sharing of ideas and interests. Since its inception, Social Media technologies have been increasingly used in different fields that have integrated them into their daily lives. In Software Engineering, for example, it has caused a disruptive change in the software development model, changing the way that the projects are approached by promoting collaborative environments. This effect has led to the proliferation of the software development communities where huge amounts of information are published every day. Therefore, when a project is started and a development team needs to be assembled, it is difficult to select and identify the most suitable developer profiles for such a project by considering all the disseminated information. To solve this problem, we have proposed an ontology-based system to help find a suitable group of developers to develop a project. The system uses web services to extract user profiles from GitHub, and semantic technologies to represent and annotate the features of the extracted data. Then, when the system receives the natural language description of the project to be developed, it identifies and extracts relevant concepts such as technologies, platforms, tools, among others. As a result, it analyzes the extracted information and lists the most suitable developers to assemble a team of developers with the right technical skills to tackle the software project. For evaluation purposes, we generated a random list of GitHub profiles, and collected a corpus of documents describing research projects and patents. The system produced very promising results, achieving a MAP@5 and F-Measure of 0.68.

Design of Web-Based Attendance Application Information System at SDN Walantaka 3

Advances in information technology have resulted in significant transformations in various sectors, including in improving the efficiency and accuracy of data management in educational institutions. SDN Walantaka 3 still uses a manual attendance system, which often faces efficiency and accuracy problems in managing teacher attendance. This research aims to develop a web-based attendance application to overcome the limitations of the manual system and facilitate the management of attendance data. The method used in this research uses the waterfall software development model. The indicators used include the development process, system validation, application feasibility, and evaluation of its effectiveness. The developed system includes various features, including a login page, an intuitive dashboard, teacher master data, and an integrated attendance module. Testing of the application showed positive results, with the system successfully improving efficiency, accuracy, and minimising the potential for human error in recording attendance. The app also provides real-time access to attendance data, allowing the school to conduct better and more structured monitoring and reporting. Overall, the implementation of this application improves the effectiveness of attendance management at SDN Walantaka 3 and provides a sustainable solution for school administration needs.

Design of a Web-Based E-Commerce Sales System for the Economic Empowerment of Tambak Fish Farmers

This research addresses the economic challenges of fish farmers in Argomulyo Village, Cangkringan District, by developing a web-based e-commerce sales system. The primary issue identified is the limited market access experienced by these farmers. To address this, the study employs a qualitative research methodology using the Waterfall software development model and gathers data through observation, interviews, literature reviews, and questionnaires. The e-commerce platform aims to enhance economic opportunities for local fish farmers by providing a digital marketplace to overcome limited market access. Quantitative data was collected from 15 respondents using a questionnaire with 10 statements to evaluate the system. The analysis results show that the validity test (R Calculated > R Table) confirms all statements are valid, and reliability is tested with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.958, exceeding the reference value of 0.6, indicating high reliability. The e-commerce system has proven effective in broadening market reach, boosting sales, and increasing farmers' income. The study results highlight the e-commerce system's positive impact on fish farmers' economic empowerment, demonstrating its potential to foster sustainable growth and market expansion in the digital era. This research provides valuable insights into the use of technology to enhance and advance the lives of farmers in rural communities.

Perancangan Sistem Informasi Pengumuman dan Broadcasting (NotifyCasting)

Managing announcements and communication within a company often faces challenges in ensuring the effective and timely dissemination of information. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Announcement and Broadcasting Information System (NotifyCasting) to improve efficiency in information distribution within the company environment. The method used is the waterfall software development model, which includes the stages of requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and system maintenance. The results of the study show that the system successfully meets the functional and non-functional needs of the company by providing features such as real-time messaging and announcement delivery, audience filtering, and an accessible announcement archive. Testing with black box and white box methods indicates that the system functions according to the specified requirements, and the user interface is intuitive and easy to use. In conclusion, the NotifyCasting system can significantly enhance communication effectiveness within the company and can be adapted by other organizations for similar purposes.

Discussion on How to Innovate and Improve the Computer Software Engineering Management

In the current rapidly changing information technology environment, computer software engineering management is facing many challenges. The traditional software development model is inefficient and difficult to adapt to frequent changes in demand; weak project management ability, leading to problems such as schedule delay and overspending; cross-departmental collaboration is inefficient, which affects the overall development process; the emergence of emerging technologies raises new requirements for management. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a series of innovative strategies. Through the implementation of these strategies, it is expected that the software engineering projects can improve the development efficiency, ensure the delivery quality, adapt to the changing market demand, and win a competitive advantage for enterprises.
