The system UO2(NO3)2- Na2HPO4-H2O was investigated by determining the solubility, pH, electrical conductivity and apparent volume of the precipitates. It was found that the reaction in this system takes place in three stages, with successive formation of (UO2)a(PO4), a mixed sodium uranyl acid phosphate UO2HxNa1−xPO4 and, finally, NaUO2PO4·nH20.
