Do most physicians or most Americans want medical students trained under military auspices? HR 2, bill to establish a Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, is apparently soon to be enacted into law by the Congress. The salient features of the proposal include the development of a medical school within a 25-mile radius of Washington, D.C., the armed forces and other federal hospitals in the area being used as a clinical base.
