Dynamic Interactions: Non-Integer-Order Heat-Mass Transfer in Magnetohydrodynamic Flow of Non-Newtonian Fluid over Inclined Plates

The heat and mass transfer phenomenon in the presence of a moving magnetic field has a wide range of applications, spanning from industrial processes to environmental engineering and energy conversion technologies. Understanding these interactions enables the optimization of various processes and the development of innovative technologies. This manuscript is about a non-integer-order heat-mass transfer model for Maxwell fluid over an inclined plate in a porous medium. The MHD flow of non-Newtonian fluid over the plate due to the natural convection of the symmetric temperature field and general motion of the inclined plate is investigated. A magnetic field is applied with a certain angle to the plate, and it can either be fixed in place or move along with the plate as it moves. Our model equations are linear in time, and Laplace transforms form a powerful tool for analyzing and solving linear DEs and systems, while the Stehfest algorithm enables the recovery of original time domain functions from their Laplace transform. Moreover, it offers a powerful framework for handling fractional differential equations and capturing the intricate dynamics of non-Newtonian fluids under the influence of magnetic fields over inclined plates in porous media. So, the Laplace transform method and Stehfest’s numerical inversion algorithm are employed as the analytical approaches in our study for the solution to the model. Several cases for the general motion of the plate and generalized boundary conditions are discussed. A thorough parametric analysis is performed using graphical analysis, and useful conclusions are recorded that help to optimize various processes and the developments of innovative technologies.

This study analyzes the unsteady MHD flow of non-Newtonian fluid in horizontal channel. The upper plate is oscillating and moving while the bottom plate is stationary. Solutions for momentum, energy and concentration equation are obtained by the He-Laplace scheme. The effect of various flow parameters controlling the physical situation is discussed with the aid of graphs. An MHD Flow of Non-Newtonian Fluid Due to a Porous Stretching/Shrinking Sheet with Mass Transfer

An examination is carried out for three-dimensional incompressible viscoelastic fluid flow over a porous stretching/shrinking sheet with hybrid nanoparticles copper-alumina (Cu−Al2O3) in base fluid water (H2O). The uniform magnetic field of strength B0 is applied perpendicular to the fluid flow and considered the Navier slip. The mass transfer is considered with the chemical reaction rate. The governing equation for the defined flow forms the system of partial differential equations, which are then transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations via similarity transformations. The goal is to find the exact analytical solution, and the unique solution is determined by considering the boundary layer theory. Furthermore, the obtained system is solved to get the exact analytical solution for velocity and concentration fields in exponential form and in hypergeometric form, respectively. The exact solutions are obtained for velocity and temperature profiles, Skin friction, and Nusselt number. These findings are beneficial for future research in the present area. The parameters magnetic field, Inverse Darcy number, slip parameter, chemical reaction parameter, stretching/shrinking parameter, and viscoelastic parameter, influence the flow. The effect of these parameters on fluid velocity and concentration field will be analyzed through graphs. Skin friction and Nusselt number are also analyzed. This work found many applications in machining and manufacturing, solar energy, MHD flow meters and pumps, power generators, geothermal recovery, flow via filtering devices, chemical catalytic reactors, etc.

Effect of Radiation and Heat Generation on Unsteady MHD Flow of Non-Newtonian Fluid Along a Stretching Vertical Surface

In this paper, the unsteady forced convection boundary-layer flow of a non-Newtonian fluid along a continuously moving stretching sheet with thermal radiation and heat generation or absorption in the presence of magnetic field has been studied. First, the governing equations have been nondimensionalized by usual transformations to obtain the similar solutions. Then, the obtained equations have been solved by an implicit finite difference method. The convergency of explicit and implicit finite difference method has also been discussed. The results are presented for the effect of various parameters such as magnetic parameter (M), radiation parameter (N), heat source parameter (Q), Prandtl number (Pr) and power-law fluid index (n). The effects of these parameters on skin-friction coefficient (Cf) and the local Nusselt number (NuL) which are of physical and engineering interest have also been studied and presented graphically.GANIT J. Effects of variable viscosity and thermal conductivity on unsteady MHD flow of non-Newtonian fluid over a stretching porous sheet

The unsteady flow and heat transfer in an incompressible laminar, electrically conducting and non-Newtonian fluid over a non-isothermal stretching sheet with the variation in the viscosity and thermal conductivity in a porous medium by the influence of an external transverse magnetic field have been obtained and studied numerically. By using similarity analysis the governing differential equations are transformed into a set of non-linear coupled ordinary differential equations which are solved numerically. Numerical results were presented for velocity and temperature profiles for different parameters of the problem as power law parameter, unsteadiness parameter, radiation parameter, magnetic field parameter, porous medium parameter, temperature buoyancy parameter, Prandtl parameter, modified Eckert parameter, Joule heating parameter , heat source/sink parameter and others. A comparison with previously published work has been carried out and the results are found to be in good agreement. Also the effects of the pertinent parameters on the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer are obtained and discussed numerically and illustrated graphically.

Unsteady MHD flow of a non-Newtonian fluid on a porous plate

This paper deals with the study of the MHD flow of non-Newtonian fluid on a porous plate. Two exact solutions for non-torsionally generated unsteady hydromagnetic flow of an electrically conducting second order incompressible fluid bounded by an infinite non-conducting porous plate subjected to a uniform suction or blowing have been analyzed. The governing partial differential equation for the flow has been established. The mathematical analysis is presented for the hydromagnetic boundary layer flow neglecting the induced magnetic field. The effect of presence of the material constants of the second order fluid on the velocity field is discussed.
