Professionalism among academic educational leaders: A concept analysis.

Introduction: The concept of professional ethics of academic educational leaders is an abstract concept for which several highly context-dependent definitions have been provided in the literature. The analysis of this concept is critical to reaching a shared understanding, developing behavioral standards, and designing evaluation measures at universities of medical sciences.Methods:To explain the concept of professionalism among academic educational leaders, Walker and Avant’s eight-stage concept analysis method was adopted. After an extensive review of resources, 37 articles were included and the antecedents, attributes, and consequences of the concept were extracted. Results:An examination of the resources and concept analysis revealed that professionalism in academic educational leaders has three main attributes of care ethics, justice-oriented ethics, and ethics of criticism, and its formation depends on personal characteristics, professional capabilities, and having a systemic view. Conclusions:The identification of components and professional characteristics of professionalism among academic educational leaders provides a shared understanding of professionalism and is a basic step towards designing measures to evaluate this concept.

In this article the Problem of the development of Individualism during the cource of the history of ancient Greece as described by Max Wundt is discussed. The development of Sophism is observed. Then, the philosophical Systems of Plato and Aristotle are being discussed as solutions to the problem of Greek individualism. Inner contradicitons in Max Wundt's argument in favour of Platonism are being discovered. Aristotelian arguments against the radical ascetic platonic system as described by Max Wundt are being given. The main material of this research are original texts of Max Wundt. The main subject of research is Max Wundts text "Greek Ideology". This text is read and analyzed to illucidate its inner philosophical systematic. The main method is thus the method of conceptual and systematic analysis. This analysis is combined with own commentary, to make an intuitive philosophical access easier for the reader. The aristotelian arguments against a radical ascetic style of culture and constitution of state are of surprising efficiency and sophisticated. These arguments have been studied and were better understood. The development of the problem of individualism in the course of the ancient Greek history can now be better understood. The concept of the naive archaic collectivism as explained by Max Wundt provides a further understanding of the motivating forces behind authoritarian and collectivist political systems. The meaning of the Greek tragedy and the works of Homer during the course of the development of Greek invdividualism can now be better understood. Inner contradicitions in the argumentation of Max Wundt have been discovered. Max Wundt gave an important text to better understand the development of ancient Greek individualism and the problems this development entails from his point of view. The discussion between the point of view of Max Wundt, who is supporting Platonism, with the arguments of Aristotle, gave a lot of insight into possible arguments in favor of different solutions in overcoming 'Sophistic' phases of the historical development of socio-cultural entities. My further research will pay attention to the political philosophy of Aristotle, which is centered around the concept of the „Doctrine of the Mean“. I suppose that this study can supply some interesting new insights and arguments for questions of political philosophy of concern to the thinkers of the „Conservative Revolution“ in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. I also think that historical research of Max Wundt's concept of „naive archaic individualism“ could be of interest. But perhaps it is just a working hypothesis to create a coherent philosophical picture of the development of ancient greece society and ancient greek thought.

Suicide resilience: A concept analysis.

ObjectiveSuicide resilience is gaining increasing attention from researchers because of its potential role in preventing suicide. However, it has not been clearly analyzed, and there are various meanings and terms regarding this issue. The purpose of this analysis, therefore, was to conceptualize the concept of suicide resilience.MethodsWalker and Avant's method of concept analysis was used to identify the antecedents, attributes, and consequences of suicide resilience. The literature was searched using PubMed, PsychINFO, Embase, Web of Science, CINAHL, CNKI, and WanFang databases with no limitation on publication date. The search included peer-reviewed journal articles and dissertations related to suicide resilience published in English or Chinese.Results52 articles were identified to provide information for this concept analysis. Five defining attributes of suicide resilience were identified: social support, coping strategies, psychological capital, meaning in life, and sense of responsibility. Antecedents of suicide resilience were high suicide risk events, and consequences of suicide resilience were keeping vulnerable individuals stay away from or overcoming suicidality.ConclusionsThe result of the analysis provided a more clear definition of suicide resilience. The identified defining attributes, antecedents, and consequences can be further tested and used to develop potential interventions. Future research is needed and will help to advance our understanding of the scope.

Peer mentoring support for students with autism in school settings: a concept analysis

Peer mentoring support as an organized peer‐run approach can be understood as an intentional support strategy for students with autism within the context of general schools. However, the increasing number of research‐based articles on the peer support programme apply the concept with little consistency. The literature was searched using electronic databases. Any quantitative or qualitative studies published in English, which were focused on peer mentoring support in autism, were included. We followed Walker and Avant's method of concept analysis. The attributes, antecedents and consequences of the concept were identified. The attributes of peer mentoring support were peer‐based interaction, mentorship approach, customized support and reciprocal relationship. Antecedents included peer acceptance, peer mentor training and role definition. The consequences of peer mentoring support were also identified. A conceptual model of peer mentoring support in autism was developed.

Linguistic and Cultural Aspects of Proverbs Reflecting the Concept «woman» in the Turkish World

The article analyzes the semantic structure of the concept of «woman» in the culture of the Turkic-speaking peoples (Kazakh and Turkish), as well as ways to reflect them in paremiological constructions. A comparative and linguoculturological analysis of proverbs and sayings denoting the concept of «woman» has been carried out. The cognitive features of the two nationalities in the interpretation of the image of a woman were analyzed. According to the authors meanings, in modern linguistics, the scope of the study of the spiritual treasures and linguistic wealth of the nation is expanding in comparison with the linguistic units in the vocabulary of related languages. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that when considered in the linguoculturological aspect, in addition to the communicative and cognitive activities of the language, the consideration of the language is given in unity and continuity with the concepts of culture and civilization, as a source of national cultural information that gives a valuable idea of the world as a whole and national characteristics, in particular. The aim of the study is to analyze the linguistic picture of the concept of «woman» in the Kazakh and Turkish languages at the lexical level, to identify their conceptual qualities and features of functioning. The work uses the methods of descriptive-analytical, lexical and conceptual analysis, linguocultural and comparative analyses. At present, the content of the concept «woman» has been revealed and considered from different angles in linguistic studies. The article also reveals similarities and differences between the conceptual, figurative and value components of the concept «woman». The concept of «woman» reflects the attitude of society towards the fair sex, therefore, in the Kazakh and Turkish ethnic groups, a woman is assigned the role of a housewife, wife, mother, mother-in-law. Turkish proverbs represent women's diligence, endurance and mercy. The Kazakh people also appreciate attentiveness, cheerfulness and hospitality in women. Both ethnic groups value female character and moral qualities above female beauty. In the linguistic cultures of the Kazakh and Turkish ethnic groups, women's verbosity, laziness, greed, lies, and arrogance are condemned. Comparison of two related languages makes it possible to reveal not only the universal features of each linguistic culture, but also their unique national features.

THE USE OF SYMBOLS, WHICH ARE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF TURKISH CULTURE, IN PAINTING ART IN MODERN ART AND POST PERIOD IN TURKEY

It is thought that in the 20th century and later period, the paintings in which the symbols of Turkish culture are used do not take place sufficiently in the literature. In this context, it is important to support the production of works within the relevant framework and to increase the recognition of existing ones. The aim of this study; To explore, understand and interpret the use of symbols, which have an important place in Turkish culture, in modern art and post-painting art in Turkey in terms of form-meaning relationship. The study was carried out according to the hermeneutic pattern in line with the purpose. Three works by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, Erol Akyavaş, Rauf Tuncer, Hüsamettin Koçan and Süleyman Saim Tekcan, one of the pioneers of Turkish painting art, formed the study group. The document method was used as a data collection tool, and the data were analyzed by concept analysis and artifact review method. It has been determined that the symbols, which are the dominant elements in the related works, are presented to the audience in different styles. The fact that the symbols of Turkish culture were successfully synthesized with the universal plastic expression in the examples of works discussed in terms of form and meaning relationship was considered important in the context of the possibility of reaching wider masses. The problem of economic literacy development of children and youth

The article presents the urgency of the problem of improving thequality of economic education in educational institutions of different types under modern social challenges regarding the cooperation of society and nature, forecasting economic development of regions, organization of production taking into account environmental and socio-economic preconditions. The study used methods of conceptual and comparative analysis, as well as psycho diagnostic methods. Theoretical aspects of forming children’s basics of economic (financial) literacy taking into account social and geographical factors are substantiated. Some features of the development of schoolchildren’s economic thinking in the course of their training (rationalism, practicality, variability, problem character, etc.) are defined. The essence of the economic culture of student youth is outlined and the necessity to create an educational environment of the educational institution for its development is emphasized. The results of the empirical study on the state of the outlined problem in school practice are presented. It was found out that the formation of economic literacy in primary and secondary school involves students mastering general knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for their lives.

Oral feeding skills in premature infants: A concept analysis.

The delay in developing oral feeding skills becomes a problem experienced by premature infants. One of the reasons for the delay may be related to inconsistent definitions of oral feeding skills, which can cause discrepancies in the provision of nursing care. This study aimed to clarify the concept of oral feeding skills in premature infants. The Walker and Avant concept analysis method was used. A literature search was also conducted from five databases: CINAHL, PubMed, ProQuest, EMBASE, and Google Scholar, to find articles between January 2020 and December 2022. The literature search obtained 20 articles on oral feeding skills from various disciplines. Five attributes were developed from the concept analysis, including (1) coordination ability to suck, swallow, and breathe, (2) the ability to regulate oral-motor functions, (3) the ability to regulate sensory functions, (4) the ability to maintain the stability of physiology function, and (5) the ability to regulate feeding behavior. Antecedents to oral feeding skills include immaturity of the nervous system, gestational age, feeding intolerance, increased length of stay and cost of care, increased rehospitalization, stress on parents, and increased morbidity and mortality. Consequences include optimization of growth and development, reduction of length of stay and cost of hospitalization, increased bonding attachment, increased self-efficacy of parents in caring for premature infants, and improvement of the quality of life of premature infants. The concept analysis provides five comprehensive attributes and their antecedents and consequences. However, this concept can be used to provide nursing care to premature infants, assess the criteria for discharge, and optimize nutrition for the growth and development of premature infants.

Moral distress in critical care nursing practice: A concept analysis.

To provide a critical analysis of the concept of moral distress (MD) in critical care (CC) nursing. Despite extensive inquiry pertaining to the legitimacy of MD within nursing discourse, some authors still question its relevancy to the profession. However, amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, MD is generating a significant amount of discussion anew, warranting the further exploration of the concept within CC nursing to provide clarity and expand on the definition. Rodger's Evolutionary Concept Analysis method was used to guide this analysis. Related terms, attributes, antecedents, and consequences of MD were identified using current literature. The results of this analysis demonstrate strong congruence between the attributes, antecedents, and negative consequences pertaining to MD. However, a new theme has emerged from this review of the contemporary literature, highlighting the potential unexpected positive outcomes perceived by nurses who experience MD, including the provision of better care, increased levels of empathy, and enhanced opportunities for ethical reflection.

Abandoned territories: reappropriation of infrastructure works from Deleuze, Guattari and Derrida

Based on the concept of territory, the article investigates the possible ways of resignifying urban infrastructure works. Infrastructure works such as viaducts, walkways, staircases, train tracks, subway stations and tunnels are characterized as public instruments that enable connections and flows for the efficient functioning of cities. Anticipating greater quality in the form of territorial occupation, can infrastructure works, in addition to technical spaces with specific functions, become ethical, citizenship and otherness devices? The article, through thinkers such as Deleuze, Guattari and Derrida, aims to deconstruct the concepts of origin into new conceptual attributes. In a contextual way, the research adapts the method of conceptual analysis, presenting a propositional framework – concept of origin, concept of interest and possible consequences. On the one hand, the research brings Deleuze and Guattari closer to these constructions of public character through concepts such as: organism, rhizome, stratum and functional body. On the other hand, it approaches Jacques Derrida from the idea of ​​receptacle, in a kind of free and discursive territory, where the language activated by another way of thinking decenters and reconstructs the object in multiple interpretations, deconstructing them. The text is imagetically reinforced by occupations of singular and representative public works of Porto Alegre (Brazil).

MARKETING 4.0: BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Purpose- Marketing 4.0 is a phenomenon that attracts a lot of concern due to its essential impact on stakeholders. This study aims to perform the bibliometric analysis of the publications obtained by scanning with the marketing 4.0 word in the journals scanned by the National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM). Methodology- Content analysis was used in this study. A total of 12 articles were included in the analysis within the framework of the analysis. The number of authors, journal titles, keywords, distribution by years, research method, sampling method, the sector in which the studies were applied, and the types of analysis used were examined. Findings- The analysis reveals that;ıt has been observed that the studies on Marketing 4.0 started to be studied more in 2018 and later. The most used keywords in the study are the concepts of marketing and Industry 4.0. Convenience and nonprobability sampling methods were used as a sampling method in the study. In addition, it has been seen that the conceptual analysis method was used in the studies conducted in Turkey on the concept of Marketing 4.0, and SPSS, Moora, and content analysis were used as data analysis. Conclusion- The following conclusions can be drawn from the findings; The examination of national academic studies on the concept of Marketing 4.0 offers a different perspective in terms of determining the research gap for future studies in this field. Defining Foundational Competence for Prelicensure and Graduate Nursing Students: A Concept Analysis and Conceptual Model

AimTo define the concept of foundational competence as it pertains to prelicensure and graduate nursing students during their educational program, thereby informing pedagogical and assessment practices. BackgroundCompetence has many definitions and uses, however a lack of consensus of a clear and useful definition in nursing persists. Without shared language, competence remains open for interpretation across and among groups and impedes the ability to teach and assess it in a competency-based education framework. MethodUsing the Walker & Avant method of concept analysis, literature was reviewed and synthesized to define and explain the concept of foundational competence in nursing using evidence and practice from various disciplines. FindingsAntecedents, attributes, empirical referents and consequences of foundational competence were identified. DiscussionThe components and uses of the concept of foundational competence are presented to guide pedagogical and assessment practices necessary for competency-based education in nursing.

Clinical judgement in nursing - An evolutionary concept analysis.

The aim of this concept analysiswas to develop a contemporary operational definition of Clinical Judgement in nursing. Concept analysis. Rodgers' evolutionary method of concept analysis. Throughout the study, the authors followed the SRQR checklist. This concept analysis guided the development of an operational definition of clinical judgement, within the context of nursing, articulated as Clinical judgement is a reflective and reasoning process that draws upon all available data, is informed by an extensive knowledge base and results in the formation of a clinical conclusion. The purpose of this concept analysis was to propose a detailed definition of clinical judgement in nursing, that reflected its theoretical base within today's contemporary healthcare system. Using Rodgers' evolutionary method of concept analysis, surrogate terms, attributes, antecedents and consequences were identified, and a contemporary definition was developed. No patient or public contribution was required to design or undertake this research.

Formal and Semantic Organization of Hybrid Literary-Legal Discourse

The research is carried out through cognitive-discursive paradigm in language learning using the methods of cognitive-discursive, conceptual, contextual, structural-semantic, component, definitional and etymological analysis. The article defines the concept of situational equivalence and sets its parameters in a hybrid literary-legal discourse, which is formed in the narrativedocumentary space, dealing with the content of the novel by I. McEwan “The Children Act” and the real law of 1989, adopted by the British Parliament. At the same time, the hybrid literary-legal discourse, marked - due to the interpenetration of two conceptual spaces - by intertextuality and interdiscursivity, is considered to be a special socio-cultural practice designed to reveal urgent social problems and highlight them not only from a legal, but also from a humanistic aspect. The narrative model of literary-legal discourse is emphasized to generalize the elements of five levels of its formal and meaningful organization: 1) the surface structure of the text (event series, factual information); 2) the “semantic core” of the content; 3) detailing or generalization of the description of the situation; 4) grammatical means of expressing the meaning; 5) proto-text (non-literary text that formed the basis of a literary work; here - “The Children Act”). The concept of situational equivalence is interpreted taking into account three parameters: the identity of the main essential properties of conceptual spaces and their functions; the equivalence of situations from a legal point of view (constant parameters); the presence of additional connotations (variable parameter). The subject of this research is the linguistic markers of legal discourse and the units of a literary text, considered in a comparative aspect from the point of view of their situational equivalence. We also speak about full and partial situational equivalence from the point of view of the presence or absence of the connotative potential of the studied thematic units. The presented conceptual theory is demonstrated by the example of the concept REASONABLENESS, which explicates the idea of rightness (seriousness, correctness, rationality) of professional actions of judicial representatives and their decisions. It is noted that the interpretative potential of this concept is significantly expanded due to the integration of language markers of legal discourse into the narrative space of a literary text; reliance on prototext allows us to identify thematic units of hybrid literary-legal discourse that make up the “semantic core” of the analyzed conceptual space. Due to the fact that the concept obtains additional connotations in the semantic structure of the literary text, thus, the corresponding fragment of the conceptual space of the legal document is also enriched. The study of the concept REASONABLENESS as a special dynamic complex of specific properties and characteristics shows the process of modeling a cognitive phenomenon in the process of hybridization of two conceptual spaces (literary and legal).

The Psychological Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Postsecondary Students: An Analysis of Self-Determination.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put postsecondary students across the world at risk of psychological distress, negatively impacting their basic psychological well-being, including self-determination. Although the concept of self-determination has been widely discussed in literature, it is poorly understood within the context of postsecondary students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to examine the concept of self-determination (SD) as it relates to postsecondary students amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rodgers’ evolutionary method of concept analysis was used. PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and ERIC were electronically searched using the keywords “postsecondary students” “coronavirus pandemic” and “self-determination.” The historical, legal, educational, and health science literature were investigated to generate a holistic definition of SD in the past. This analysis has identified the antecedents, attributes, and consequences of self-determination in postsecondary students during this global health crisis. This analysis adds to the knowledge base regarding the evolution, significance, and application of the concept of SD in the context of postsecondary students amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Implications for future research were also explored, such as using strategies to promote SD in postsecondary students to develop resilience during the pandemic.

'End of life': a concept analysis.

The concept of end of life (EOL), as in the term end-of-life care, is used synonymously in both palliative and terminal care. Practitioners and researchers both require a clearer specification of the end-of-life concept to be able to provide appropriate care in this phase of life and to conduct robust research on a well-described theoretical basis. The aim of this study was to critically analyse the end-of-life concept and its associated terminology. A concept analysis was performed by applying Rodgers' evolutionary concept analysis method. Time remaining, clinical status/physical symptoms, psychosocial symptoms and dignity were identified as the main attributes of the concept. Transition into the end-of-life phase and its recognition were identified as antecedents. This study demonstrates that end-of-life care emerged following the application of the 'end-of-life concept' to clinical practice. The early recognition of the end-of-life phase seems to be crucial to ensuring an individual has well-managed symptoms and a dignified death.

Nurse well-being: A concept analysis

BackgroundAn understanding of nurse well-being remains elusive, particularly in the current toxic health care environment. Therefore, a conceptual definition of nurse well-being is needed. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to report results of a concept analysis of nurse well-being. MethodsRodgers’ Evolutionary Method of concept analysis was used to examine the attributes, antecedents, consequences, and related concepts of nurse well-being. FindingsFindings revealed varying levels of nurse well-being: individual, organizational and community. Individual attributes included happiness, satisfaction, optimism, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, and sound body/spirit. Organizational/community attributes included teamwork, sense of mission, pride in work, and social integration. Antecedents reflected commonalities with Maslow's hierarchy of needs, ranging from basic human needs to self-actualization. Consequences included resilience, collegial relationships, continued growth and development, empowerment, purposeful work, and physical/mental health. DiscussionStandardized definitions of individual and organizational/community nurse well-being should guide future research and policy development. Organizations must build capacity for nurses’ well-being and explore its connection to patient safety and quality outcomes.

Semantic-Cognitive Analysis of the Concept PANDEMIC (Based on English Media Texts)

Introduction. The purpose of this study is to conduct a consistent semantic-cognitive analysis of the PANDEMIC concept based on the material of the pandemic period current media texts. The present study examines the objectification of the PANDEMIC concept in English-language media texts. The relevance of the linguo-cognitive representation study of the concepts of the pandemic crisis discourse is beyond doubt, since the events and phenomena of the crisis period are directly reflected in these cognitive units, with the help of which certain images are constructed in the social consciousness and, thus, public opinion is formed on key socially relevant issues.Methodology and sources. While constructing the nominative field of the PANDEMIC concept, methods of discursive and conceptual analysis were used, including recourse to the analysis of dictionary definitions and synonymic series, as well as an interpretive analysis of the context based on media texts. The material of the study was the media texts of the news resources selected from March 2020 to January 2022.Results and discussion. As a result of the study of the PANDEMIC concept, numerous cognitive features were identified. At the core of the PANDEMIC concept there are two cognitive features: harm to health and spread over vast areas. The composition of the near periphery of the PANDEMIC concept included the following cognitive features: encouraging and forcing to vaccinate; using of personal protective equipment; social isolation or quarantine; fighting against the virus. The far periphery of the PANDEMIC concept consists of the following cognitive features: fear and anxiety caused by the virus; the negative impact of the pandemic on the business and economic development of countries; the positive impact of the pandemic on the business and economic development of countries; change in normal routine.Conclusion. The semantic-cognitive analysis allows for the transition from the semantic component of language units to the content of the concept. The stylistic and phraseological units that make up the figurative component and the interpretive field of the concept provide an opportunity to expand the boundaries of the cognitive unit and construct the image of pandemic even more thoroughly.
