Transition Metal Carbyne Complexes, XXIX. Metal Carbon Triple Bonds: X‐Ray Studies on Group VIa Metal Carbyne Complexes

AbstractStructural results of X‐ray investigations on group VIa metal carbyne complexes are described and the influences of different substituents on the metal carbon triple bond are discussed. From the M‐Ccarbyne distances metal triple bond radii are derived.

Übergangsmetall—carbin-komplexe : VII. Darstellung, eigenschaften und reaktionsverhalten von übergangsmetallcarbonyl—carbin-komplexen

Methods of preparation, spectroscopic investigations and basic experiments concerning the reactivity of neutral and cationic transition metal carbyne complexes are summarized and all known complexes of this type listed. Based on the experimental results a general mechanism of formation and a model of bonding can be formulated.
