The aim of this work has been to show and analyze the domain structure of different amorphous magnetic materials by means of magnetic force microscopy (MFM). The following samples are successfully imaged: amorphous and devitrified melt-spun ribbons, amorphous electrodeposited microtubes which have a giant magneto-impedance effect, and sputtered films with a modulated stress-induced magnetic anisotropy. A correlation between the MFM images and the magnetic characteristics obtained from hysteresis loop measurements has been found.
