This study aims to determine the development of small and medium enterprises, the processes and constraints faced by small and medium enterprises in Parado Village, Bima Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method with data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the development of Sambal Jeruk SMEs has increased in quantity and has a positive impact on people's income to become more prosperous, increase people's income as a source of additional income and directly create jobs and meet daily needs such as food, as well as other needs such as the health of their families and the need for their children's education. The obstacles in the process of making orange sauce are the procurement of materials for making orange sauce such as oranges, bottles, salt, chili and capital.

Analyzing the Impact of Human Capital on the Sustainable Growth & Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): An Empirical Study

The Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a very significant and crucial role in the economic growth of both developed and developing countries. The importance of SMEs, in particular, was highlighted by the Addis Ababa Action Agenda on financing for development as the enterprises are major creators of jobs. They also focus on providing innovative ideas for sustainable development in the developing countries. These SMEs face highly complex and volatile conditions and therefore, have to strive for sustained, smooth and steady growth to remain competitive in the business world. These enterprises aim to create their market value and establish their brand name by adopting sustainable measures. The managers of SMEs are resorting to a blend of different types of capital like financial capital, natural capital, human capital, social capital and constructed capital. Human capital, an emerging concept has caught the attention of economists and industrialists all over the world in the recent past. Various enterprises have started ascertaining the cost of human capital in terms of the skills, knowledge, competitiveness and innovative ideas provided by the individuals. This helps the organization in deciding whether it is able to adapt to the ever changing environment and achieve its goal of sustainable growth and development. The aim of the study was to examine the impact of human capital on the sustainable growth & development of SMEs. A questionnaire based survey on various dimensions of human capital was considered to assess the impact of human capital on the sustainability of the SMEs in Delhi-NCR, India. The statistical tools like Reliability Analysis and Multiple Regression were applied to achieve the results of the study. The study conducted will be beneficial not only to researchers or academicians but also to policy makers.

Nigeria as an Emerging Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: Prospects & Challenges

Until recently, the global concern is growing about the need for effective Entrepreneurial Ecosystem with a view towards public private partnership in building a practical ecosystem for promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) development. Entrepreneurship in Nigeria has suffered so many years of neglect and deficiencies, this is in spite of array of policy decisions and programs embarked by successive governments over time to bring socio-economic development and growth in the sector. The Nigerian entrepreneurial ecosystem consists of a diverse pool of actors from the public, private, nonprofit and development sectors carrying out different ecosystem functions that impact and determine entrepreneurship outcomes. Using the Isenberg’s six pillars of the entrepreneurial ecosystem framework, the study employed analytical review method to examined the Nigerian entrepreneurial ecosystem and explored deeper into the Nigerian economic , financial, social, political, and cultural contexts. The study revealed the issues that facilitated and impeded on the six pillars reviewed in the Nigerian entrepreneurial ecosystem . It was concluded that, unless there are deliberate attempts by government to creating enabling environment for smooth and successful engagements and collaborations with all stakeholders to meeting the entrepreneurs needs; all efforts and governmental strides to ensuring speedy entrepreneurship transformation and sustainable economic development will remain sluggish and unattained. This paper recommends amongst others, that there should be consistent monitoring and review of policies on entrepreneurship that will ensure its impact on startup, survival and growth of SMEs . Â

Main specific approaches to understanding the essence and economic role of youth entrepreneurship

In the proposed article, the author analyzes the main scientific approaches of foreign and domestic researchers for a more complete understanding of the essence and economic role of youth entrepreneurship as an institution that allows using the creative potential of the younger generation in the interests of innovative development of the country. The author defines the concept of “youth entrepreneurship”, characterizes it as a tool that ensures the growth of employment, the involvement of young people in economic activity. In modern science and theory, youth entrepreneurship is considered as a new concept conditioned by a combination of factors and trends in the development of entrepreneurship and business in general, as well as employment of the population, including young people. The author, to a certain extent, clarified and deepened the theoretical foundations of the formation and development of youth entrepreneurship, established the relationship between youth entrepreneurship and economic growth trends. Within the framework of analytical research, the economic and organizational foundations of the mechanisms for supporting youth entrepreneurship are comprehensively systematized and analyzed. The author identifies at the system level the problems hindering the development of youth entrepreneurship and ways to solve them. The research results obtained by the author are reliable and applied, can be used in the practical activities of economic management bodies at macro and micro levels, in the implementation of industrial and innovation policy, as well as in policies for the development of small, medium and large enterprises.

Partnership Analysis of Two Wheel and Four or More Automotive Industry MSMEs in Indonesia

The objectives of this study are: (1) to analyze the development and contribution of micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) partnerships in the Automotive Industry sector in Indonesia; (2) analyze the pattern and principle of partnership of MSMEs in the Automotive Industry in Indonesia; (3) analyzing the support of the central and local governments for the automotive industry partnership in Indonesia; (4) explore the placement of MSMEs in the National Industrial Estate and (5) develop a strategy for developing and expanding the partnership of MSMEs in the automotive industry in Indonesia. The methodology used is descriptive exploratory and SWOT analysis. The results of the study: (1) inductive statistics give the results that there are 1,474 Number of 2-wheel and 4-wheeled 2-wheeled automotive MSMEs with 2 wheels as many as 659 and 815 4 wheels in Indonesia, West Java by 66%, Banten by 14%, East Java 9%, DKI Jakarta 5%, Central Java 4%, and Riau Islands 1% and other provinces below 1%; (2) partnership patterns and principles in the form of agreements/contracts/supply chains of automotive partnership cooperation between MSMEs and large automotive companies; (3) government support regulations to form a special village center for MSMEs, Link & Match partnerships, People's Business Credit Programs, provide direct cash funds to MSMEs during the COVID-19 epidemic; (4) MSMEs have not yet been placed in Industrial Areas mandated by Law Number 40 of 2007 and Government Regulation Number 142 of 2015 and (5) the position and strategy of MSMEs is an aggressive maintenance strategy and a selective maintenance strategy.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT OF SANGGAR WUNI CREATIVE UTILIZATION OF COCONUT FIBER AS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY HOUSEHOLD NECESSITY PRODUCT IN TEGAL RATU VILLAGE, CIWANDAN DISTRICT, CILEGON CITY. The coconut fiber is a product of coconut husks. Coconut coir is a component of coconut fruit which if used properly can become a product needed by the domestic market and become a product that has a high export value. Ciwandan District is an area that has many large capital-intensive industries. Human Resources (HR) of local communities are considered not yet qualified to compete at the level of high-ranking officials who have policies. Both mentally and in knowledge compared to immigrants who are educationally and knowledgeable superior to the local community. Friction between migrants and local communities always arises when there is a new factory through the recruitment of workers. Local people think that only people far away can work because there are people inside. Meanwhile, 'natives' find it difficult to get to work because there are no insiders. This issue continues to this day. The problem of unemployment in capital-intensive industrial locations became the subject of discussion at Sanggar Wuni Kreasi. Various formulations such as the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are a long-term solution to this problem. Sanggar Wuni Kreasi which is a community that carries out community empowerment activities starting from the fields of education, economy, art, and others.

PERKEMBANGAN UMKM DITINJAU DARI PEMBIAYAAN MUDHARABAH DAN MURABAHAH

This study aims to determine the effect of mudharabah and murabahah financing on the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Banyuasin Regency. The population in this study were 41 customers at the KSUS BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri in Tanjung Lago, Banyuasin district. Sampling using saturated sampling (Total Sampling) with a total sample of 41 respondents. The analysis technique uses Multiple Linear Regression with hypothesis testing using the t-test and F test. The results of this study indicate that partially there is a significant influence between mudharabah financing on the development of MSMEs with a t count value of 3.258 > t table 1.68595 and a significance value of 0.002 < 0, 05. Meanwhile, murabahah financing has no significant effect on the development of MSMEs with a t-count value of 0.428 < t-table 1.68595 and a significance value of 0.671 > 0.05. The F test shows that mudharabah and murabahah financing simultaneously have a significant effect on the development of MSMEs with a calculated F value of 15.622 > 3.24 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion is that mudharabah financing partially has a significant effect on the development of MSMEs, while partially murabahah financing has no significant effect on the development of MSMEs. Simultaneously, mudharabah and murabahah financing have a significant effect on the development of MSMEs.

FINANCING RISK MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL FOR HIGH-TECHNOLOGICAL SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES — UNDER NONLINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

In this paper, a financing decision-making method is proposed based on the nonlinear differential equations (NDEs) to promote the healthy development of high-technological (high-tech) small and medium enterprises (SMEs). An assessment index system for financing risks is established, and the financing decision-making method is proposed based on the backward stochastic differential equation (BSDE). Then, the financing risk is evaluated with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) combined with fuzzy evaluation based on the financing status of Peilin Company. Finally, the corresponding financing decision is proposed based on the BSDE. It is found that the comprehensive score of financing risk of Peilin Company is 63.6124, indicating that the risk is high. The financing decision obtained shows that the current equity fund financing should be 396.24[Formula: see text]million to achieve the future goal. It is proved that the proposed financing risk evaluation method can assess the financing risks accurately, and the financing decision-making method based on NDE can obtain more appropriate financing decisions through calculation. This study can provide a crucial reference for management and control of financing risk for enterprises.

Meningkatkan Penjualan UMKM Binaan Program Jabar Juara Kota Depok Melalui Optimalisasi Target Market

This service is entitled Increasing Sales of MSMEs Guided by the West Java Champion Program in Depok City through Optimizing Target Markets. The general purpose of this community service activity is to provide training and practical knowledge of marketing management science by using appropriate segmenting, targeting, and positioning techniques for use by MSMEs in marketing their products. The method used is direct material delivery as well as simulations and discussions regarding marketing management and re-targeting MSME products during a pandemic which is closely related to new normal conditions in the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises that have an impact on people's welfare. This PKM activity is very useful for MSME actors in the West Java Champion Development Program, Depok City, who are helped in opening additional insights and knowledge in marketing their products effectively and efficiently. PKM participants who are members of the West Java Champion MSME fostered program, Depok City, have known and understood the right techniques in implementing Segmenting, Targeting, and Positioning strategies in an effort to market and sell their products to consumers.

Pemanfaatan Financial Technology dalam Pengelolaan Keuangan pada UMKM di Wilayah Depok

The general objective in this community service activity is to assist MSME actors by providing training and practical knowledge of management science in financial management and the use of financial technology which has an impact on the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The method used is the method of collecting data and delivering direct material as well as simulations and consultations on financial management and the use of financial technology in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which have an impact on the welfare of the community. The results of this community service activity in the effort to assist and develop MSMEs show that the use of Fintech by MSME actors can facilitate financial transactions such as payment methods for buying and selling products that are already digital, digitally storing funds becomes practical and fast, and also making it easier for MSME actors in seeking funding/business capital. The conclusion of this community service is that MSME actors can better understand and apply simple financial management methods and take advantage of financial technology to achieve prosperity and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The trends of export activities development of small and medium enterprises: world experience and russian practice

The article analyzes the peculiarities of export activities of small and medium-sized businesses, shows the high involvement of companies belonging to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the high-tech sector. The contribution of SMEs to the creation of the value of a product/service through the introduction of innovations and their adaptation to different contexts by providing new or niche products that meet the diverse needs of customers is noted. Based on the analysis of the world practice of export activities of SMEs, the author concludes that SMEs can contribute to economic diversification and economic sustainability. This is especially true for resource-rich countries that are particularly sensitive to fluctuations in raw material prices. The emphasis is placed on the analysis of the export activity of Russian SMEs, an insignificant share of SMEs in the total volume of exports in comparison with other countries is highlighted. It is concluded that Russian small and medium-sized businesses are in the process of formation, which makes them vulnerable to the influence of both external and internal threats. It is shown what impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on SMEs. It was emphasized that the main problems for such companies were non-fulfillment of contractual obligations and a sharp decline in demand.

RECENT DEVELOPMENT OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES IN INDONESIA

This paper examines the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. It aims to answer the following research questions. First, how important are MSMEs? Second, what are their main constraints? Third, how was the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on them? This study adopted descriptive analysis using secondary data. It shows that MSMEs are dominated by micro and small enterprises (MSEs), and accounted for almost 100% of all firms but only contributed an average per year of around 58 % of the GDP. Their main constraints are a lack of capital, and difficulties in marketing and in the procurement of raw materials. During the pandemic, many MSEs were severely affected although it varied by industry. This study has, however, one limitation. Although the study aims to examine MSMEs, the focus is however on MSEs in the manufacturing industry due to a lack of national data.

The Development of Small Medium Enterprises and Their Impact on the Ghanaian Economy

The Ghanaian economy is made up of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), corporate bodies and multinational companies. They together form the medium through which the economy transacts business activity and grows. The government agenda to make the private sector the engine of growth is mainly driven by the SME sector. The SME sector contributes over 70% of the country’s GDP. SMEs have over the years been very significant to the economic development of most developing countries, especially Ghana. It is a major form of business and a major employer making strong positive impact on the economic growth and GDP in Ghana. This study researches into the operation of the SME development in Ghana, the importance of SME’s to the Ghanaian economy, the challenges facing the sector and makes recommendations as to how to resolve these challenges and the impact to the Ghanaian economy. Data was collected from SMEs from various cross sections of manufacturing, trade, commerce and service industries. The data was collected through interviews, questionnaires, publications and reports. On the average the sector was found to be a major contributor to the GDP, performing very well. Some of the problems faced by the sector were lack of access to credit facility, inefficiencies with their management, inability to capitalize on advanced technology, regulatory and legal constraints. Recommendations are made for the training of the SME owners and managers as well as for the proper registration and structuring of the SME ventures to facilitate access to credit and also meet regulatory requirements.

Analysis of China’s New Energy Industry Development from the Perspective of Low-Carbon Economy

At present, the world is experiencing a serious climate change problem, and the consumption of high-carbon energy sources such as coal and oil undoubtedly brings great harm to the environment. In this context, some European and American countries have promoted a low-carbon revolution with high energy, high efficiency and low carbon emissions, focusing on developing low-carbon technologies. This paper mainly discusses the new energy industry from the perspective of low-carbon economy in China, and believes that China should also make a deep thinking on low-carbon economy and makes improvements of the industrial energy of some enterprises. This paper hopes to offer some references for the development of small and medium enterprises.

Ekonomski izazovi preduzetnika u Republici Srbiji koji posluju u najperspektivnijim privrednim delatnostima

High unemployment rate, low level of economic activity and low living standards are some of the most significant problems that the Republic of Serbia has been facing in the last few years. The development of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs as great potential to solve these problems to some extent is still not sufficiently exploited. Keeping in mind the importance of the development of this economy segment, this paper analyses the business economy of entrepreneurs by economic activities in 2018 in the Republic of Serbia to determine the economic activities that have the greatest prospects for entrepreneurship development in the future. The ratio analysis of operations was used as a starting point for comparative analysis. It was conducted using the data obtained from the Annual Bulletin of Financial Statements published by the Business Registers Agency for ten economic activities where entrepreneurs reordered the highest profitability in 2018. Using the entropy method and PROMETHEE method, the ranking of entrepreneurs according to economic activities was performed. The obtained results indicated that in 2018, the best-ranked entrepreneurs were those operating in Professional, Scientific, Innovative and Technical Activities, while the worst-ranked are entrepreneurs operating in Accommodation and Food Services.

CURRENT ISSUES OF DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH

The combination of small technological, productive and management flexibility allows small and medium enterprises to be sensitive to changing market conditions. Small and medium entrepreneurship has acquired a special role and importance for Artsakh in the current conditions of the post-war economic recovery which requires identifying the problems of ensuring the continuity and efficiency of business entities, developing and implementing new approaches and tools aimed at solving them. In general, a guaranteed way to ensure social solidarity, political stability and economic growth in different countries is the presence of developed small and medium enterprises. In the current conditions, it is urgent and modern to eliminate obstacles to the development of small and medium enterprises by continuously identifying and introducing more effective mechanisms of state support.

The Factors Affecting Business Innovation to Improve the MSME Competitiveness in Medan City

The development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan is still unstable. This condition is related to limited working capital, low-quality human resources in accessing information and managing capital, weaknesses in obtaining market opportunities and increasing market share, and limited product marketing. The latest innovations are needed to increase the MSMEs' competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the performance of MSMEs to increase competitiveness and determine the effect of innovation on MSMEs in Medan. The study included 20 business actors from Medan Johor, Medan Sunggal, Medan Denai, and Medan Marelan. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with purposive sampling. The respondents were based on agribusiness in culinary and processed derivative products. Data were analyzed using a Likert scale and binary logistic regression. The results showed that business actors' performance by analyzing opportunities to increase competitiveness resulted in a very good category. The highest results were on certification indicator, while the lowest were on service indicator. Meanwhile, the factors influencing MSME innovation were level of education and information technology. The results recommend that government should train Medan City MSMEs in online sales applications to increase their market share. Furthermore, to support a more accessible certification and licensing process, BPOM should socialize more with business actors.

The impact of small and medium business finance on the level of economic wealth of the region

Entrepreneurship, embodying the process of funds formation in the form of small independent firms — small and medium enterprises is an integral element of the economic system. These subjects carry out a whole range of important socio-economic functions, which to a large extent can influence the overall level of the region’s wealth. These include the creation of additional jobs, an increase in the level of the competitive environment, the alignment of social disproportions, the introduction and promotion of innovative technologies. These factors directly affect the socio-economic development of both the country as a whole and a particular territory. Accordingly, small and medium enterprises are one of the levers of influence on the welfare of the region and the quality of life in it. The article provides a statistical analysis of the small and medium modern businesses development in the Russian Federation, reflecting the mutual influence of income from activities in the regions on financial activities in the territory and the impact on a broad impact. Also, the paper reflects the results of a conceptual approach to the study of previously presented studies of economists devoted to identifying the dependencies of the small and medium businesses development and the level of welfare of the region. As a result of the study, it was found that at the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the main reasons for the development of small and medium enterprises are the formation of a business support infrastructure, represented by a whole range of measures that provide significant support to small and medium businesses. Namely, the implementation of programs for the financing of small and medium enterprises, the provision of information, consulting and educational support measures. Also, the list of ongoing activities includes property and innovative support for small and medium-sized businesses.
