Waste recycled rubber (RR) powders are modified with modifier and low-temperature mechanochemical devulcanization (LTMD) method, and filled into styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) to improve its elasticity and reduce its mechanical hysteresis. The incorporation of modified RR (MRR) could accelerate SBR vulcanization, improve the crosslinking density of SBR and promote the compatibility of MRR in the matrix. Furthermore, it could also improve the tensile strength of SBR vulcanizates and weaken the Mullins effect by reducing their overall hysteresis, softening and energy loss. Such method realizes the high-value recovery of RR, reduces the mechanical hysteresis of rubber composites and improves the elasticity.
