Analisis Kesantunan Berbahasa dalam Acara Talkshow “Talkpod”

This research aims to describe; (1) forms of compliance with the principles of language politeness on the "Talkpod" talkshow, (2) forms of violation of the principles of language politeness on the "Talkpod" talkshow. This research takes data in the form of speech from hosts and guest stars which contain forms of compliance and violations of language politeness in the "Talkpod" program. This research data collection technique uses listening, note-taking and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique for this research uses techniques expressed by Sugiyono (2018) in the form of data reduction, data presentation and verification stages. The results of this research found forms of compliance and violations of language politeness in the "Talkpod" talkshow. There were 21 data on language politeness compliance in the talkshow, consisting of 5 data on compliance with the maxim of wisdom, 1 data on compliance with the maxim of generosity, 6 data on compliance with the maxim of praise, 3 data on compliance with the maxim of humility, 3 data on compliance with the maxim of agreement, and 3 data on compliance with the maxim of sympathy. There were 17 data on violations of language politeness, consisting of 1 data on violations of the maxim of wisdom, 1 data on violations of the maxim of generosity, 5 data on violations of the maxim of praise, 3 data on violations of the maxim of humility, 4 data on violations of the maxim of agreement, and 3 data on violations of the maxim of sympathy.

Language Politeness as a Foundation for Ethical and Moral Development Among Islamic Elementary School Students

The principles of politeness are fundamental to understanding ethical and moral behavior. This study explores the principles of politeness, as manifested in maxims, and the ethics and morals of students at Islamic Elementary School. The method used in providing data is the Listen method with Dasar Sadap techniques with Simak, Bebas, Libat Cakap (SBLC) technique. Data was obtained from 25 students' oral and written speech. The oral speech data was collected by dialogue using a recorder and transcript. Then, written speech data was taken from the transcript of the message. The research uses a pragmatic theoretical approach, especially the principles of language politeness (Leech, 1983). The data analyzed uses the collection method with Bagi Unsur Langsung (BUL) technique. This technique divided data directly into the theory, although the results of the research show that the language use of Nurul Islam students does not violate the principles of politeness. In that sense, students' speech is classified as using polite language, which is manifested in the form of (1) the maxim of wisdom (tact maxim), (2) maxim of generosity or generosity (generosity maxim), (3) maxim of acceptance or praise or appreciation (approbation maxim), (4) humility or simplicity maxim (5) agreement maxim, (6) sympathy maxim. These maxims shape student ethics and morals in the midst of rapidly increasing technological developments through the language conveyed in the interactions carried out. Thus, this research contains the politeness principle Islamic Elementary School Studets used. Social media do not influence the language used of politeness principle, although the research still has the potential to be studied in more depth regarding the principles of politeness from different perspectives and objects in rapid technological advancements.

The purpose of this study is to determine the maxims of politeness of language used when communicating with lecturers via WhatsApp. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach method, data collection techniques, namely interviews and observations, other supporting data, namely screenshots of WhatsApp chats of students and lecturers. And using the word "sorry" to respect the interlocutor, sorry for disturbing his time, or disturbing his comfort, in the maxim of wisdom the speaker shows respect for the interlocutor, the maxim of appreciation shows respect for the opinion of the interlocutor, the maxim of generosity shows responsibility, the maxim of simplicity shows the humility and humility of the speaker, the maxim of agreement shows an agreement between lecturers and students, the maxim of sympathy, shows respect and sympathy for the interlocutor

Politeness in Language in Student Discussions at Akprind University Indonesia

Language politeness is a very important aspect in shaping students' language and character. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to aspects of politeness in language, so it is necessary to analyze any deviations and comply with the principles of politeness in language in discussions in the classroom. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques use proficient free-involved listening techniques and note-taking techniques. Data analysis uses the practical equivalent method. Determining deviations and compliance with the principles of language politeness is based on indicators of language politeness with Leech's theory. The research results show that: 1) The maxims that are often violated in learning using the discussion method are: the maxim of generosity, the maxim of humility, and the maxim of agreement. 2) The maxim of that do not appear in learning using the discussion method are: the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of acceptance, and the maxim of sympathy. 3) The use of language in learning using the discussion method often uses inappropriate diction/word choices. 4) Language politeness in learning using the discussion method has not been fulfilled properly

Kesantunan Berbahasa dalam Pembelajaran di Kelas IX SMPN 2 Sungguminasa

This study aims to describe the form of language politeness in Indonesian language learning in class IX of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa. This research applies descriptive qualitative research method. The data of this research is in the form of spoken language taken from conversations that occur in the interaction between students and teachers during the discussion process in Indonesian language learning. The data sources in this research are teachers and students of class IX SMPN 2 Sungguminasa. The collected data were processed through qualitative descriptive analysis approach. The results show that the politeness form of teacher-to-student interaction in Indonesian language learning in class IX, namely obeying 5 forms of maxims, namely, the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of respect, the maxim of agreement, and the maxim of sympathy. Furthermore, the principle of politeness that is violated is the maxim of humility by students.

ANALISIS PRINSIP KESOPANAN PADA FILM JUSTICE HIGH MODEL GEOFFREY LEECH

ABSTRACT This research aims to describe the explanation and form of the principles of politeness which are divided into several maxims in the Korean short film Justice High. The data collection methods used are the proficient free-involved listening technique (SBLC) and note-taking technique as an advanced technique. The data analysis method uses the technique of selecting determining elements. The research results consist of examples and discussion of the six maxims of politeness in the Korean short film Justice High, namely a) maxim of wisdom, b) maxim of acceptance, c) maxim of generosity, d) maxim of humility, e) maxim of compatibility, f) maxim of sympathy. The principle of politeness is viewed from the politeness scale according to Geoffrey Leech.

Maxim of Politeness to Improve Language Principles: Case Study on Mata Najwa Trans 7 Talk Show Program

This study investigated how politeness helped speakers and other participants used language as capital during interactions to reduce the likelihood of verbal abuse. This paper used qualitative descriptive research methods. The sample in this study was the Mata Najwa Trans 7 Talk Show Program. The instrument in this paper was observations on the Mata Najwa Trans 7 Talk Show Program. After the data were obtained, they were analyzed using narrative analysis. The results of this research showed that in the Mata Najwa Trans 7 Talk Show Program, six language principles were described: the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of appreciation, the maxim of moderation, the maxim of consensus, and the maxim of sympathy. This study concluded that these six principles guide every speaker and interlocutor in improving the principle of language politeness. Therefore, this research helped to achieve state and national concord, which benefits the development of global peace.

Kesantunan Berbahasa dalam Proses Pembelajaran Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Galesong Utara

This study aims to describe the use of diction in language politeness in the classroom learning process, the use of language politeness principles in the classroom learning process, and the communicative value of language politeness in the classroom learning process. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The data source of this research was obtained from the speech of teachers and students of class VIII in the learning process of Indonesian language. The techniques used in data collection are recording, transcription, note-taking, and classification. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative which is by collecting, processing, analysing, and presenting the data objectively. The results showed the use of diction, politeness principles and communicative value. First, the use of diction in language politeness consists of utterances that use politeness markers try, good ma'am, please, and son, second, the use of principles of language politeness is in the form of obeying the maxim of praise, generosity, agreement and the maxim of sympathy, third, the communicative value of politeness is in the form of declarative sentences obeying the maxim of agreement, and sympathy; interrogative sentences obeying the maxim of wisdom and sympathy; and imperative sentences obeying the maxim of wisdom and the maxim of agreement.

KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA ORANGTUA DAN ANAK DALAM LINGKUNGAN KELUARGA DESA ORHILI SUSUA

This research is motivated by language politeness between parents and children in the family environment of Orahili Susua village. The aim of this research is to describe the form of language politeness between parents and children in the family environment in Orahili Susua village. This type of research uses case study research. Case study research is an in-depth exploration of a limited system based on extensive data collection. Based on the research findings and discussion, the result was that politeness in the language of parents and children in Orahili Susua village found 42 utterances, consisting of several maxims: (1) maxim of wisdom 15 utterances (2) maxim of generosity 10 utterances (3) maxim of respect 4 utterances (4) maxim of simplicity 6 utterances (5) maxim of consensus 5 utterances (6) maxim of sympathy 2 utterances. The conclusions from this research show that the speech of parents and children in the Orahili Susua village family environment complies with the principles of language politeness. There are also those who violate the principles of politeness in 10 utterances, consisting of: (1) maxim of wisdom 2 utterances, (2) maxim of respect 4 utterances, (3) maxim of consensus 4 utterances. For this reason, it is hoped that future researchers will further develop this research to provide benefits to readers.

KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA TERHADAP HUBUNGAN KEKERABATAN MASYARAKAT BAROMBONG KOTA MAKASSAR

The aim of this research is to describe forms of politeness and forms of politeness violations in the Makassar language towards kinship relations in the Barombong community of Makassar City. This type of research is qualitative research. Data was collected through the method of listening, being involved, taking notes and recording. This research data is in the form of words, phrases and sentences. The data source for this research is the speech of parents and children. Data analysis was carried out by researching transcription of data recorded during conversations in the field. The next process was data reduction, analyzing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is obtained from the triangulation process using the triangulation technique of methods, data sources, observers and theory. The results of the research show that the principles of politeness in language are in the form of (1) maxim of wisdom (2) maxim of acceptance, (3) maxim of praise, (4) maxim of humility, (5) maxim of agreement and (6) maxim of sympathy. Analisis Kesantunan Berbahasa Dalam Film Pendek Negosiasi Kelas X Pada Saluran Youtube Cinta Bahasa

The analysis of linguistic politeness in a short film about negotiations for class X on the Cinta Bahasa YouTube channel focuses on the analysis of politeness in negotiation activities. The purpose of analyzing linguistic politeness in the short film about class X negotiations is to find, describe, and evaluate the mistake in the dialogues in the videos titled "Short Film on Shop Rental Negotiations", "Land Sale and Purchase Negotiations", "Shop Sale and Purchase Negotiations", "House Sale and Purchase Negotiations", "Short Drama on Renting Rice Fields", "Video of Osim Meeting Negotiations", "Negotiations for the Preparation of the Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony" , and “Negotiation of Buying a Cell Phone". This research uses two research methods: a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and a theoretical method with a pragmatic approach. The data analyzed was collected using observation and note-taking techniques. The results of the data analysis are presented in the form of descriptions along with explanations for each linguistic politeness found in the videos. Ten maxims were found: the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of humility, the maxim of agreement, the maxim of sympathy, the maxim of apology, the maxim of forgiveness, the maxim of emotion, the maxim of opinion, and the maxim of silence. This research provides an explanation of the use of linguistic politeness in the negotiation process. The language politeness that is most dominantly used on the Cinta Bahasa Youtube channel is compliance with the maxim of agreement and violation of the maxim of humilty. The benefit of this analysis is to provide an understanding of the appropriate use of language in accordance with language norms in the negotiation process, and readers can understand and use it in the context of good language as a result of this analysis.

Portrait of students’ language politeness in elementary school

<span lang="EN-US">This study described students’ language impoliteness during the Indonesian language learning process taking place at </span><span lang="EN-US">elementary school in the Kediri Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia.</span><span lang="EN-US"> This study used a qualitative approach to the type of qualitative descriptive research. The research participant of this study were elementary school educators and students in Kediri, East Java, Indonesia, who have a rough and smooth Javanese language culture when communicating with teachers during the learning process in class. The results of the study showed that all politeness maxims were violated in the learning process. Language politeness must continue to be implemented in elementary schools because it is still being discovered violation of the maxim of wisdom is shown when students give long-winded statements to educators. Violation of the maxim of generosity is shown when students give emotional statements to educators. Violation of the maxim of praise is shown when students express criticism at will, to both educators and friends. Violation of the maxim of politeness is shown when students make statements that demean the speech partner. Violation of the maxim of agreement can be seen when students are giving very harsh statements and ignoring the rules of the speech partners. The violation of the maxim of sympathy is shown when students do not have sympathy for the speech partner who is having difficulty. Language politeness is very important for the world of education as an effort to familiarize students as the nation’s next generation with polite language.</span>

PELANGGARAN PRINSIP KESANTUNAN TINDAK TUTUR DALAM IKLAN BERBAHASA JAWA DI RADIO RRI SEMARANG

The language used in Semarang radio advertisements has its own characteristics, such as the use of Javanese dialect which sometimes sounds harsh. Many members of the public consider advertisements to be disrespectful, as can be seen from the language used in many advertisements. Obviously, this cannot be separated from the culture that surrounds it, because politeness and modesty are a reflection of society. It is hoped that the language used in Semarang radio advertisements will not change the intended meaning. The aim of this research is to describe the types of speech acts and violations of politeness principles contained in Javanese language advertisements on RRI Radio Semarang. This research is a qualitative research. The data source in this research is Javanese language advertisements on RRI Radio Semarang, while the data in this study is in the form of words and sentences in Javanese language advertisements on radio. The data collection technique carried out in this research was the SBLC technique (skilled free-involved listening technique). In analyzing the data, researchers also used the pragmatic matching method. The results of this research are that the types of speech acts in Javanese language advertisements on RRI Radio Semarang include assertive, directive, commissive, expressive speech acts and declarations as well as violations of politeness principles found in Javanese language advertisements on RRI Radio Semarang which occur in four maxims, namely the maxim of wisdom, generosity, praise and humility.

EKSPLORASI MAKSIM KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA DALAM CHAT GRUP WA KELUARGA BESAR IKATAN MAHASISWA MUHAMMADIYAH UNVERSITAS HALU OLEO: TINJAUAN PRAGMATIK

This research aims to explore language politeness maxims in the Whatsapp Group chat of the Muhammadiyah Student Association of Halu Oleo University. The method used is descriptive qualitative by describing the chat speech of the Halu Oleo University Muhammadiyah Student Association's extended family chat group, the data of which was collected through screenshots in the group. The data was analyzed in 4 stages, namely 1) identifying the data, 2) classifying the data based on its form, 3) describing what had been previously classified, 4) analyzing the data, and 5) concluding the data. The results of the research show that the politeness maxims in the Whatsapp group chat of the Muhammadiyah Student Association of Halu Oleo University fulfill Leech's principles of the maxim of wisdom (6 data), the principle of the maxim of generosity (3 data), the principle of the maxim of respect (6 data), the principle of the maxim of humility heart (4 data), the principle of the maxim of consensus (8 data), the principle of the maxim of sympathy (5 data).

Penyimpangan Maksim Kesantunan Berbahasa Mahasiswa pada Dosen dalam Interaksi WhatsApp Group

Language politeness is the key to good communication, including in communication in student WhatsApp groups. However, violations of the principle of language politeness often occur among students, especially in WhatsApp course groups. This study aims to discuss violations of the principle of language politeness among students in Indonesian language course class groups. This study uses a qualitative method with research data in the form of WhatsApp message media. The results showed that there were four violations of the maxim of wisdom, one violation of the maxim of sympathy, five violations of the maxim of generosity, and one violation of the maxim of humility. These violations occur because students think that WhatsApp groups tend to be informal and pay less attention to language politeness. The results of this study are expected to increase students' awareness of the importance of language politeness in communication, especially in WhatsApp groups.

Discrepancy of MA Arifah Gowa Student's Speech toward Leech Language Politeness Principles

The research highlights the discrepancy between MA Arifah Gowa students' polite speech and Leech language politeness. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data in this research are students' speech in words, clauses, and sentences that do not comply with the principles of language politeness based on Leech's theory. The results show that the discrepancy between students' speech and the principles of language politeness occurs in five maxims, including the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of humility, and the maxim of agreement. THE PRINCIPLE OF POLITENESS ACCORDING TO GEOFFREY LEECH IN THE STORY OF THE PROPHET SULAIMAN

Language politeness is a code of conduct determined and agreed upon by a particular community, therefore politeness is also an agreed condition in behaving in society. This study discusses the style of Prophet Sulaiman according to Leech's theory. This research uses a descriptive method with a pragmatic approach. The data sources used in this study are divided into two parts, namely primary data sources, namely basic data sources in the form of the Qur'an, and secondary sources, namely books or other sources related to the research topic problem. This study aims to find out the message contained in the story of Prophet Sulaiman a.s in the Qur'an using Geoffrey Leech's approach. The results of this study found that the maxim of wisdom amounted to 2 verses, namely Surah An-Naml verses 20 and 41, the maxim of generosity contained in Surah Shaad verse 32, the maxim of appreciation there were 2 verses, namely in Surah Al-Anbiya verse 81 and An-Naml verse 15, the maxim of simplicity there were 2 verses, namely in Surah An-Naml verses 16 and 36, the maxim of consensus contained in Surah An-Naml verse 38, The maxim of sympathy is found in Surah An-Naml verse 19.

The purpose of this research is to explain the forms of violations of politeness principles that occur in oppressed women genre novels and explain the causes of violations of politeness principles in oppressed genre novels in the novel Beauty is Wounds and the novel women at point Zero. This research uses mixed methods, namely combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The object of this research is all the dialogue of the characters in the novel Beauty is Wounds and the novel women at point Zero. The object of this research is all the dialogue of the characters in the novel Beauty is Wounds and the novel women at point Zero. Data collection in this research was a free listening and note taking technique. The research results found 93 data. (1) violations of the principles of language politeness in oppressed women's novels in the women's novels in women at Point Zero and the beauty is wounds consist of 93 data consisting of six maxim violations, namely, violations of the maxim of wisdom, violations of the maxim of generosity, violations of the maxim of praise, violations of the maxim of humility , violation of the maxim of agreement, and violation of the maxim of sympathy, (2) the causes of violations of the principles of language politeness in oppressed women's novels which consist of five factors that cause violations, namely, direct criticism, emotional encouragement, protectiveness of opinions, cornering, and accusation. This research is useful both theoretically and practically. Theoretically, this can provide additional information regarding understanding violations of linguistic politeness maxims and forms of politeness violations in Latin-like languages. In practice, the results of this research can be used in the world of education as a relevant reference/source for further research by pragmatic researchers, especially in cases of violations of linguistic politeness maxims.

Analisis Prinsip Kesantunan Tuturan dalam Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap Yang Disutradarai Oleh Bene Dion Rajagukguk

Humans use language as a means of communication. When communicating, speakers should use polite language because with polite language, speakers will maintain their dignity and respect their interlocutor. Apart from being an entertaining spectacle, films can also be used as a medium for learning and disseminating information today. This research aims to describe forms of compliance and violation of politeness principles in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap directed by Bene Dion Rajagukguk. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the aim of explaining the forms of compliance and violation of Leech's (1993) politeness principles in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. The data collection method used in this research uses the note-taking technique. The listening method is done by watching or listening to the speech of the characters in the film and then using note-taking techniques as a continuation. The data obtained is described and determined whether it constitutes compliance or a violation of politeness. The results of the research show that there is compliance with the principles of politeness in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap, amounting to 20 data consisting of 1 utterance of the maxim of wisdom, 3 utterances of the maxim of generosity, 8 utterances of the maxim of praise, 1 utterance of the maxim of simplicity, 2 utterances of the maxim of agreement and 5 utterances of the maxim of sympathy . Apart from compliance, there were also violations of politeness principles, totaling 12 pieces of data consisting of 1 utterance of the maxim of generosity, 1 utterance of the maxim of praise, 2 utterances of the maxim of simplicity, 7 utterances of the maxim of agreement, and 1 utterance of the maxim of sympathy.
